  1. This is because these are not living world episodes, it’s the next chapter of soto, which means you have to get to that story step first. It is part of the expansion.
  2. Honestly many strike cms I see in lfg don’t even ask for anything like kp. Just keep in mind if you don’t know what you’re doing you’ll more than likely get booted.

  4. With the soto strikes it’s even harder to max out green shards for the week than eod was. You could repeat eod for a couple of days doing all plus daily each day to get more. With the new 2 strike per expac, it’s more repetitive requiring you to repeat the same 2 strikes to get the max green shards. It was bad enough with eod there was a green shard cap, now I struggle to hit the cap. I don’t want to “burn out” on these strikes, doing the same 2 for a year before new comes out gets pretty boring… right now I do them for dailies and that is it. Most of the time there is nothing in lfg so I just look for something else to do. They definitely need to rethink the reward structure. Even CM mode for soto doesn’t have an “antique summoning stone” reward, making cm for soto less rewarding than cm for eod. There is a reason lfg for strikes has less groups than fractals. Give more reward, they will come.
  5. At first I was like what the crap they are changing it. They are out and I’m like ok, bring on the legendary this is annoying. In the grand scheme of things, it really hasn’t changed how I have played much. I could do without them. I think it was a necessary move for anet. It is going to allow a lot more creativity for bonuses without having to worry about the stat combination. I like that you can pick a bonus no matter what stats you selected on runes. It they could just bring back stuff like golem for people.
  6. They could add an option upon walking into the portal to select weekly raid instance or daily. Your weekly could be the same as now: the daily appears only when it is daily and is separate instance from the weekly.
  7. There are faction vendors across Tyria, and in HoT maps. Obsidian shard I believe, can be traded in Black Citadel for provision token. Lion’s arch you can trade mystic forge stones and ecto for provision tokens on a daily limit too.
  8. Underwater expansion Masteries Water Surface Battle: equip Jade Tech that allows battle on the surface of the water, creating platforms that sync with your body as you move during combat. Jade Tech Underwater Suit: equip a Jade tech suit that allows you to mimic above water movement and speed. You can do battle from the ocean floor with your standard above ground weapons and skills.   9. As someone who has done 40+ legendaries, and does not actively enjoy wvw, gift of battle is not hard to get. It just takes time. You can get one easily within a week as long as you can dedicate a few hours each day. Use as many boosters as you can, and it goes quicker. Skill doesn’t matter as you can just flip camps every 10 minutes. Or, if you don’t like sitting around, find someone who is leading a zerg, and the time passes quicker. I don’t agree that making this available elsewhere is the way to go. If you take it away exclusive to wvw, you don’t get new players trying it out. If you are at the point end game that you need one of these, who knows, some people may even enjoy getting into it when before they had no idea it even existed. It helps the game mode.
  10. It would be great if they added the same npc from lion’s arch to access dungeons into the Mistlock Sanctuary. It already has a dungeon price vendor.
  11. I find it funny people think they have to rush to complete all the material requirements when the armor isn’t even out yet. You are burning out on the low tier content that isn’t supposed to be the funnest content. The higher tier stuff more than likely have more rewards making it easier to finish the required materials later on, and maybe have more fun mechanics than the previous. I intend to make all the armors, merely for completionist. I’m just doing whatever I want with no intention on grinding rifts. I do the weeklies and some here or there for story. Just don’t burn out on them! They are not meant to replace the entire game lol.
  12. I have always enjoyed doing the strikes. I try to do them at least weekly for the gold reward. What I find most fascinating is that it is weekly rewards mainly. Like when people play fractals, they generally get a great amount daily for doing them. That’s why a lot more people fractal on a regular basis. If they did rewards similar to fractals and offer a like amount daily (like key chests you can open and sell the loot for gold), I guarantee you would see a lot more activity in lfg. Veteran players could play what content they want at any time and get decently compensated. I still don’t get why the gold amount doesn’t compare to fractals, when it’s easier to form a 5-man group than 10-man. The coordination to clear is also more difficult (roles, etc). It can’t be that difficult to implement a decent rewards program. I mean fractals has the daily gold from the chests, and they also have rewards you can buy with currency! It has so much you can spend your currency on to give you goals to save up, and daily rewards too, which is by far the best.
  13. Please combine all strike currency into 1. This is done for raids, and I think it works well there. Perhaps make the limit 300/week instead of 150. This way you can get clovers, coins if you want, and have some left to save for other stuff. Also, could ibs strikes have some sort of one-per-week monetary reward anywhere from 50s-2g, depending on complexity? This would at least encourage people to knock them out at least once a week after you have already obtained all the shard rewards.
  14. Deldrimor dwarves seem to have returned to an extent. Perhaps we could have then as a playable race? Would be awesome!
  15. The blue shards say they are for eye of the north strikes and the green prophet shards still say they are for end of dragons strikes when you hover over the currency in the wallet. Please update these descriptions. While you are at it, can you please add “x # earned out y possible this week” like magnetite shards have?
  16. What if the number depended on the game modes selected? If only only want pve, you get 4. If you choose pvp or wvw in addition to pve, you get 8. If you choose all 3 game modes, you get 12. That way, it encourages different game modes if you choose, and you get a little extra aa for doing all 3 modes. Still keep it at completing 3.
  17. I think it’s going to be great. Now I don’t have to get useless daily rewards like transmutation charges and instead I can focus on getting only legendary mats to finish my last few legendary weapons.
  18. This may be true for non-legendary relics. If you ever created a legendary, however,, you would know that Legendaries have always been the best equipment in the game. Any time new content releases with new stats, those new stats are immediately accessible by the legendary version. This should not change with relics, legendary version will always contact core relics as well as soto relics. It will even contain relics from expac 5, 6, etc. when they are released. This does not mean you need certain said expac to create the legendary. You and I are just speculating really about the acquisition, so we could be wrong. I mean legendary accessories are only accessible through season 3 and season 4 of living world and not core game. One ring is through raids even, which is gated by expac. You could be right. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
  19. I don’t get all the complaining about cms not being worth the time, etc. fractals are the biggest source of gold in the game. I wished they would give strikes and raids the fractal reward treatment just so they are repeatable for good rewards on a daily basis like fractals. I love fractals, but I also like playing strikes and raids. I find myself playing more fractals simply because it’s easier to fill a group and rewards are daily. If I do strikes/raids, it’s once a week for the biggest reward. The daily strikes don’t even come close to the daily fractals, it’s just plain sad. Give raids/strikes true daily gold rewards that compare to fractals, maybe even increase the amount due to complexity, and you should see more groups.
  20. If you don’t want to do wvw then you can always just save up the gold to buy a legendary on trading post. To be honest; I make a ton of legendaries. I have 8 weapons of all gens left to make, and wvw is by far the least of my problems with making the legendary. I just do the wvw dailies, like big spender, land, camps, or ruins. Those may take 5-15 min tops to complete. There are also weekly wvw now too so if you get 5 ruins, easy gives you more potions to get your track even further. This is my least played game mode out of everything, and I can get the gift of battle just through dailies in just a few weeks. I get it isn’t your favorite, but in small amounts it is totally doable and you don’t have to spend a lot of time there. Otherwise, like I said, you can always buy the legendary.
  21. Legendary relic I don’t believe has to be tied to the expac. The reason being is that legendary runes and sigils are not tied to any expac. They are core. Also, relics are touted as an expansion feature, but relics are just a core system update. There is no good reason for them to make a legendary relic tied to the expac. To me, I feel like it will be made similar to how a rune/sigil is made. They will add more crafting components that you will get from salvaging relics, and you will save those to create a legendary. That is most likely.
  22. I just hate finishing fighting and have to wait to get out of combat to mount and fly away. Hope this solves the issue.
  23. Perhaps mister E will be revealed in SOTO? He/she always seemed to be a hidden “protector” of sorts, always seemed to know what is going on, but never revealing who he/she is. Almost fits in with the new mysterious characters coming forth in the new expac.
  24. Ranged condi option, plus peircing would make this a solid weapon. Some aoe ranged would be great too, and some hard cc built in would be great.
  25. The only thing about this I don’t know if I agree is on the hp. If hp is reduced, cc bars come quicker, giving ppl less time to recharge, resulting in more cc fails. Great idea. Which means people will be holding dps more to let skills recharge… so it won’t really go quicker.
