  1. I stated this in a different thread: “Make a special vendor for people who have all 7 lege runes. Allow free relic purchasing for all the current effects. You can buy as many as you need for all characters on your account. This way we get what we need, when legendary relics come out, we can make that, and it allows access to all relics going forward.“ just allowing use to choose 3 relics is not enough. This means at most you can gear 3 characters. For many with the legendaries, we have a dozen or so characters with variety of builds; the reason we got legendaries is to be able to gear and experiment without restraint. Seeing the backlash from other players comments, this solution would be the most effective way to give the players what they need so you can keep some of your most loyal players. Otherwise, I’ve seen many people saying they are leaving the game because of this.

  3. I like how it is easy for someone to say just delete it. You can just not wear one and act like it doesn’t exist, and then let the people that it matters to still continue to wear it and hold out for legendary.
  4. Because the fractal numbers will go higher than 25 eventually, they need to rework this numbering concept. For one, changing the fractal numbers around each time a fractal is added is annoying. But, why not for each tier, just assign a number 1 through whatever to each unique fractal, and then each new fractal after the last just gets the next number higher. Each tier then has the same fractal numbers in it. Or something completely different I am up to as well. You could just have rotating fractal levels in/out depending on dailies/recs/etc. Do away with the numbers? Anyone have any other thoughts?
  5. I’ve been saying that they should add a strike reward for a special commander tag that you can work toward with strike currency. Gives people a meaningful option to work towards without a huge gold price tag. It would also work just for 10-person content.
  6. So…. Raptor is already unlocked on paid accounts at level 10. You will get that if you just buy SOTO. Other mounts you have to have PoF (with exception of Skyscale)
  7. With the idea of new weapons coming with each expac, potentially more weapons will come out until each profession can utilize each weapon. The problem is so many people want this weapon or that weapon for their class, and when it doesn’t happen “it just doesn’t make any sense!” As an engineer main since the start, I would have love another offhand option like dagger, warhorn, sword, mace…. Anything to give more variety than pistol or shield. I’m hoping shortbow will give some great long range condi dps options for strikes, etc. rather than dual pistol all the time.
  8. Guys, you’re missing the fact that there is a new skyscale mastery track with the new expac. If you completed one skyscale mastery track via season 4 of POF, then in SOTO you unlock and complete the masteries there for extra bonus effects. It entices people to do both methods. If you just do the easier way, you won’t get all the benefits of both tracks.
  9. It’s hilarious to me that people think they are getting it for free. I have done skyscale twice. It’s not hard or a huge deal. But, many people seem to have issues with the way it was acquired, so anet is listening. It won’t be free, but it is a different way to obtain it, plus it’s a great way to attract new players also. Can we just let these forum posts die already?
  10. It never was hard, just took some time, and it was actually cool doing it for the first time without guides. My guess is that, like the raptor, it’s becoming increasingly demanding to have a flying mount. With an expac geared towards the skys, this mount will be necessary.
  11. From what they are saying they were already in development of the first quartlery release, so it seems they are able to work ahead with this new release cadence. Hopefully it turns out good.
  12. First Fractal, then fractal cm release, then festival four winds, then expansion. We know the first two things are the next two releases per anet. More than likely will be fall.
  13. I for one am less interested in reworking quickness on Scrapper. I mean don’t get me wrong, I think it will be a little refreshing to play it differently. However, to me quickness wasn’t the issue. For one, in fractals you never see healer scrappers. It’s always LF HB. It seems like you are making things more involved in having scrapper give quickness. Where HB is still spamming their quickness buttons. Why not make them do a finisher blast too? They are still too easy and people will always prefer HB in fractals. Instead of reworking quickness, allow scrapper more ways of providing utility, like aegis or stability. Scrapper gets 3 stacks stability with dome at once with large cd. Can we get more stab on demand? Give maybe hammer some utility when speced with certain traits to make hammer more appealing for heal quickness scrappers.
  14. It gives me something to do with ascended weapons and armor I get from drops in fractals/raids/strikes. It’s not the greatest system, but it’s also gives meaning to things you can’t do anything else with but to store or delete.
  15. I did skyscale when it first came out. Took me 3 weeks to finish. At the time I played the living world as the episodes came out. By the time skyscale came out, I had most of the currency already. Each collection I remember clearly marked in the map where you should go to finish it. Between steps was time gated daily so you had a sense of progression, but couldn’t grind it all at once. While it was a long collection, it was nowhere near hard as some people put it. Just set a goal each day, do one or two steps at a time, and just enjoy the journey. If you don’t expect to have it tomorrow, it is a great side quest to do a little at a time when you have nothing else to do. Don’t feel discouraged. You can do it if you put your mind to it! I think at most I spent like 30-35g, so not at all hard on thr bank.
  16. Please add ability to pin inventory items to screen. For example: I have portal in inventory slot. I right click the item, pin it, and an icon appears on screen. You can move it to where it is most convenient to use, and you can use it without pulling up inventory each time. Or, say you are farming specific items. Pin that item from inventory, and you can have a visual of it as you collect the item. You can see your total without pulling up inventory each time.
  17. I just downloaded in new PC too last night. Download a lot, but still had a ton to download. Went to less than 1mb to 0 and never would download fast. Funny thing is I just hit play and there is enough downloaded it has never asked me once to download content during game. I figure at some point it might just download everything fast again.
  18. Given that new strikes are now just buffed up versions of story mission bosses, couldn’t anet take a long story mission with a few different encounters and turn it into a new raid? No additional resources needed for creating new map areas exclusive for raids. I mean could be done, right?
  19. Can anet please change the map mechanics after meta is complete to not reset the map? People need to be able to explore. Perhaps give a “leave instance” button like you get after completing strikes, etc. that way you leave when you want.
  20. This is a bridge to the next story episode release, later this year, which will complete the left side of the map with the rest of the story.
  21. When will LFG be reworked? It has been the same system forever. A few things that could make this better I will list below. Feel free to add your own input. 1. When creating LFG, you have a small list of suggestions you can use based on the map you are in. For example, in arborstone, you can choose from Strike Missions, or any of the EOD maps. No having to search for your category. 2. When looking for group, LFG only displays relevant categories where people have posted lfg. For example, posts in raids, strikes, etc will be shown if people have posted to them. Otherwise, you don’t see everything else. A click of a button can switch between smart lfg and the whole list of categories like we have now. 3. Automatic role selection. If you post for a group, specify if you need supports, dps, and how many. People can choose that specific role when joining which takes it off lfg. A person leaving that role will automatically post that role back to lfg. 4. Specify other parameters, such as profession requirements, title requirements, experience requirements, etc. 5. You can specify specific encounters, such as world bosses, strike bosses, metas, HP trains, etc. These can be integrated into the lfg, making them selectable, searchable or more easily seen as to what the encounter is. This way they could even be translated for people, making it easier to understand for everyone what the encounter is. 6. Specify difficulty/experience level. You can select from “Beginner”, “Some experience”, “Very experienced”, and this will appear by the posting. This can also be translated among languages. Perhaps there can even be a way that allows certain criteria for an account to be allowed in a certain difficulty level, such as # of completions, time spent on encounter, etc.
  22. Removing transmitation charges is like saying, please remove upgrade extractors or infusion extractors also. All of these items is what makes legendary armor the best convenience in the game. Also, if the true endgame is fashion wars, legendary equipment is also the ultimate endgame convenience, and therefore should keep the convenience of changing without transmutstion over other armors.
  23. I have been making legendaries for 3 1/2 years now non-stop, making 1-2 legendaries a month on average. I have about 14/15 weapons left to make, and I am still hovering around 1k spirit shards. I have not ever ran into a situtation where I was short on spirit shards. As long as you are max mastery points, spirit shards should be easy to come by. Tomes of knowledge just help.
  24. We had just cleared Xunlai Jade Junkyard CM. About 7 of the people died at the last 1% and Ankka died to condition damage. We all received our coffers for both normal and CM mode, no problem, but we needed the boss chest, so everyone just typed /gg and restarted. Instead of allowing us to go back to get the boss chest, Ankka revived and was waiting to fight us at the beginning again. In the upper right corner the status still said Strike Mission Complete! So there was no way to receive the reward from the boss chest due to this. Please fix!
  25. One thing I have noticed as a player who really enjoys playing the new strikes and cms is this: I always cross my fingers hoping that LFG will have groups up for CMs for the new strikes. Most of the time you see one or two from eotn strikes, but it's just been scarce to find teams in LFG for EOD strikes. Sometimes no posts for groups. Enter fractals, almost always you can see groups up for T4 fractals or CMs/T4s, or recs, etc. Fractals is really different than raids/strikes in a few ways. 1. 10-man vs. 5-man. People will definately prefer 10-man over 5-man esp if it's harder to get the 10 people together. 2. rewards. Fractals has a reward for clearing each and every fractal as many times as you want. They also have rotating dailies that give excellent rewards for gold. Strikes has a weekly reward of gold, and then shards that are capped weekly. These shards are redeemable similar to fractal relics, however fractal relics are not capped at all. Increase the weekly cap or get rid of the green shard cap. Alternatively, give other ways of getting more green shards above the cap (besides dailies). This could be miniatures or ascended drops that you can trade in for green shards like in raids. Also, clearing each strike should give some kind of constant treasure chest reward (like the fractal boxes) where you have to unlock with keys that are obtains by doing dailies (or more keys can be purchased for shards like in fractals). The boxes can also be sellable on TP. These boxes can contain similar contents to fractal boxes except make it a noticable difference, like giving wood, metal, cloth, or leather pieces. Constant loot will give incentive to play more run throughs of the strike/raid rather than just 1 and done. 3. Fractals have an increasing level of difficulty based on your experience in the game mode. Raids/strikes just have lfg. Raids do have emboldened mode, but that's one wing a week. Raids/strikes could possibly benefit from an "experience" system. It doesn't have to be 4tiers like fractals, but perhaps a raid/strike level that unlocks specific tiers of LFG. For example, newcomers cannot just go to "experienced" lfg. They must choose beginner LFG and work through say, 5 clears of each strike. Then maybe semi-experienced lfg is unlocked, making you have to clear 10 of each strike. Then experienced is unlocked. Lastly, once a raid wing is cleared, allow the option to replay any boss in that wing on demand for the extra rewards outlined above. I think making improvements to the reward system similar to what I mentioned above, as well as improving on the LFG to ensure the proper experience levels play together will help the replayability of strikes/raids. For me, who doesn't play every hour of the day, I can choose what game mode I want to play for the day/week and not have to worry that I'm not making as much gold as when I just grind fractals on days I need extra gold. Maybe all the modes equally rewarding to encourage more people to play, but also so one game mode does not get left behind. Variety is a must in a game, but if the variety is not worth the time to play it can be forgotten easily.
