  1. TIL: Voracious Arc *isn't* an offensive skill. Here I've been this whole time using it to pounce on unsuspecting groups of mobs to whomp them into the ground. oops.
  2. Besides me? I'm currently on Harbinger and really enjoying it so far. I'm using Ritualist's stats on all gear except aquatic. Mad King rune set Sigils of Malice and Bursting Staff, pistol & dagger Harbinger: Septic Corruption, Twisted Medicine, Doom Approaches Curses: Plague sending, Path of Corruption, Lingering Curse Blood Magic: Blood Bond, Vampiric Presence, Blood Bank Slot skills: Elixer of Promise, Signet of the Locust, Spectral Grasp, Elixer of Bliss, Elixer of Ambition Vital Draw will never get old, and a critical hit with Voracious Arc is an equally cackle-worthy sight. "Haaaaa!, WHOMP! (cue smothering pile of cawing ravens and ensuing bloodbath)
  3. This, right here. There are bugs they fixed yesterday that aren't even included in patch notes. I know this because I found a bug, reported in via the in game bug report, then later that evening there was a patch and the bug was fixed with no mention of it in the notes. I've experienced (player side) a lot of game and expansion launches. This is by far the smoothest and most responsive launch I've ever experienced.
  4. It did it with every borrowed skiff. I just ended up killing aetherblades until the heart completed and I grabbed a real skiff. That works fine.
  5. My boat is completely still, and yet I can't drop anchor. Is it a bug or is there something I'm missing?
  6. I just want masteries open and then chill for the remainder.
  7. I am definitely taking my time on this expansion. I'm still floored. It feels like experiencing everything for the first time again. You can really tell that this was a labor of love.
  8. Please. I almost salvaged all of my food and utilities n one fell swoop. f I hadn't double checked the list I would have been severely kittened, and extremely upset.
  9. This..oh...words...gone. Breath, taken. BEST INTRO EVER! The journey there was a kitten BLAST! Haven't even talked to K as yet because the eye candy is overwhelmingly GORGEOUS. Just. Wow....returning to my game now.
  10. Personal story begins in the character creation screens. If you're going to erase personal story to change race, it would be far easier and less expensive to to create a new character and use a Lvl 80 boost.
  11. I'm happy it was the Jackal, since that is my second most used mount, after Skyscale. However, I agree that WvW players should get some exquisite skins for Warclaw. It's really not fair to neglect a substantial part of your customer base. Maybe they think WvW players don't care as much about aesthetics?
  12. The Black Lions Chests are usually updated with festival items, but I don't see that today. Is it an oversight that will be corrected, or did they just decide to break with tradition this year?
  13. Agreed! I, unashamedly and with ZERO regrets, spent what many would consider a ridiculous amount of gold for the cobs needed to purchase her as a pet. I would just as enthusiastically pursue an equally ridiculous side quest to have this Grande Dame of felines reside in my home instance.
  14. As someone who gets severe motion sickness while doing the normal jumping puzzles, I suppose I could just suck it up and "try better" at the ones with all the moving parts and flashing lights, but that, of course, would result in nausea, headaches, vomiting, and probably a several hours long episode of Afib at 140bpm or so and being pretty much non functioning for several days. It's just not worth it. But thanks for the cheerleading. As someone with a disability, I would think you would understand that not all disabilities are the same.
  15. How about a 6th downed skill called DNR that makes you unrevive/unrezzable? It's really frustrating when the only way to leave a mob packed map/event is to die and well meaning players come along and try to res you just before you are finally free. I main a support Scourge, and since my job is to scoop the dead up off the floor and send them back into the fray; it would be really nice not to waste precious time trying to rez folks who really want to just GTFO.
  16. I understand where you are coming from. I wish there was a way to have a se of preset phrases, like "please don't rez me", or "please let me die". It's so frustrating, in many maps, that there is no quick way to leave combat (especially if you have minions) when you really need to.. Maybe a 6th downed skill, maybe call it a DNR, lol, so that other players don't waste their time rezzing you when they could be helping someone else.
  17. Mesmers are the OGOP, lmao, or PPitA (Professional Pain in the Kitten)
  18. Just give me a way to detonate and name my minions and I'll be a happy camper.
  19. lol, "complain culture". That's a problem everywhere, not just MMO's. It's a product of self-entitled people not getting or having things go their way. Can't afford a luxury item? It's too expensive and the price should be reduced. Keep getting your butt kicked in raids or PvP? Either your class is to weak or the opposing class needs to be nerfed. It's always someone else's fault, and never, "what can I do to improve my skills?"
  20. Nomad's Advance and Battle Dance are reversed. Battle dance moves you forward and Nomad's Advance moves you backward. NM...I misunderstood the icons
  21. I like the idea of special quests/collections for some mount skins. I think it would be a really creative way to integrate lore and game story content. Example: One of the Norn personal storylines involves them getting blackout drunk at a moot and learning that they have misplaced a Charr vehicle. How much fun would it be to (if your character has that story they are the main, if not, then your character is assisting the main) complete a collection based on that story and have that vehicle skin for your raptor, or roller beetle? I also thought your idea of the average skin (or mount select license) being changed to 700 instead of the current 1200 was not bad; at first. Coming from a background as a content creator in 3D art, I know that there is a big difference between creating clothing and creating critters. You know that Tik Tok meme song? "It costs that much because it takes me kitten hours"? That definitely applies here. So, for 400 gems, you can take a chance at getting a skin you will like, or 400 each skin if you want them all. Alternatively, you spend 1200 and can choose the one you want outright. Not so unreasonable when you think about it. I do think it would be cool to have side quests with mount skin rewards though. That would be fun ❤️
  22. I remember it well, all 9 years ago, lol. It’s the sight of all of those stats increased across the board. Plus the name makes it seem really special. I don’t think it’s a bad set, especially if you haven’t fully developed your play style yet.
  23. It’s the fact that you can’t control it that’s the problem. In certain parts of the terrain that are close quarters, the camera will start zooming in and out like it’s possessed, and until you can get out of that position you really can’t adjust for it in any useful way. It is nauseating. This is one of the main reasons I don’t do JPs unless I absolutely need it to get something that I need, and then I make sure to tip the local Mesmer. I’d rather do it myself, but I can’t deal with all the motion sickness that comes with all of that movement in confined spaces.
