  1. Genuinely surprised. The weapon sets feel pretty smooth to play and ....luckily mace off-hand n5 doesn't lock you on the spot which is pretty amazing, thanks for that, the mix of sustain and dmg feels pretty great, cherry on the cake is the ambush skill...a real candy for zerg play. Legendary mace here I come
  2. Complex weapon set..without any reason to play it over what is available now, this is another button smashing weapon hammer style where you need to rotate through all the attunements like a madman to accomplish what other professions reach the same goal with 1/4 of the effort! TRASH!

  5. Because dragonhunter was OP on it...trap ranger was/is the weakest trap class in the game by far. A tiny loss but a great victory for balance with the removal of steath dragonhunters and thrives.
  6. Trap rangers were never an issue against any class...no power dmg on them. I am glad they're gone, fighting dragonhunters was such a pain
  7. Clueless...do you know the difference between "on swap" and "on beast skill"...even better do you know what counts as beast skill? What kind of "playstyle" is to use beast skill to clear condis rather than when needed? ...Please show us an example of this gameplay with empathic bond...so far no ranger build seems to be using to...so you may be onto something
  8. What do you expect?....they nerfed the fun out of the gamemode: removed amulets, changed traits, removed runes..etc ecte etc....almost nobody is interested in PVP GW2 anymore.

Untamed is my 'go to' version of ranger to deal with extreme broken builds like vindi bunkers, cele harbinger and what not...those life steal are my lifeline in this otherwise game with abysmal balance. The fact now staff untamed is on mistbattle, it's unfortunate and these won't be the last....sadly ranger gets hit with nerfs whenever he gets something capable of changing the status quo. I can only pray all nerfs will remain in pvp, with staff possibly being the best ambush skill thx to ...the blind as you realized, you avoid being cc to death while using it

No need to think too hard...here I'll give you ...the future: Guardian/Necro = pistol/pistol and sword/sword will be broken OP in every gamemode...will be nerfed after 1 month in PVP, slap on the wrist, hard nerf after 2-3 months. WvW..these two professions will be even more braindead broken to keep the whales happy Revenant = yet another snore fest unkillable garbage with broken dmg first 2 months then nerfed in PvP...will be broken for another 5 months in WvW, before getting nerfed further and becoming yet another 1111 revenant build Warrior=...will be warrior, a subpar revenant/guardian still annoying to fight when in the hands of good players...will be some cheese bunker, nerfed with a slap on the wrist Mesmer =...just another condi bunker cheese inc or some wvw garbage abused to hell Thief = just another cheese spec, abused garbage in wvw Elementalist = just another condi bunker to be nerfed 2 weeks after release, just annoying to fight after...pointless either way Engineer =......lol Ranger = Half decent weapon set for half decent performance with half avilablepets (other half will be hard nerfed one week after the rework next week) Who am I?...Nostradamus
  11. You need to realize and accept the frustration people go through to succeed on ele...while they face literal braindead specs doing dmg and sustain themselves at the press of a couple of buttons...it's the frustration talking

It's not that anybody can disagree with the idea that teleporting with instant damage on top of a target, cannot be considered a valid gameplay option.   14. You really think that asking to do anything against necros or guardians will accomplish anything other than having your comments being drowned in sad/confuse emojis?......60-70% of this game population mains those two classes...
  15. As anything ever been released on necro or guardian that doesn't end up being broken/OP? In the video they claim that sword/sword will come with supposed "off sets" to balance the incoming powercreep....but we all know those weaknesses will be removed after couple of threads worth of tears after the beta....2 months after release at the worst. They removed the blight weaknesses after couple of tearful threads....same will happen with sword/sword....but lol...who even care about balance at this point?

  18. Why? Power requires glass stats...even more so in WvW with all the defence powercreep....power specs are awful to play if you can't back it up with more broken/op mechanics like stealth or mega mobility/easy boon fart
  19. No. Only the matching element on core/cata and tempest. But both if on weaver and you are in fire/earth
  20. The main point to take is the bullets speed. I am expecting something relatively faster than scepter for 1v1 situations.
  21. The obvious difference between scepter and pistol, you can reflect the latter not the first. Scepter can be used where people fart reflects, and by contrast, pistol, I can assume will be limited in that sense.

If these new weapons are supposed to fill the "hole" in every class arsenal..then can we expect boon removal...stealth.....additional conditions( torment-confusion)...single target 1200 range weapon....literally something else hasn't got. At that end, we should not expect more support options...I wonder
  23. The more people abuse those builds I have mentioned..the easier it becomes for them to shoot themselves in the face, you can see where I am going.....

What ridiculous are some ranged specs which luckily have been mostly taken out of the picture by the presence of strong projectile denial: Nade Engi - kitten gameplay and asinine design...running ahead with superspeed while throwing grenades behind you Shortbow renegade - kitten gameplay, press 5-2 off CD while having access to pulsing stability utility which reduces also power dmg...BS design Oneshot deadeye...no introduction needed 11111111...spamming necros with that kittening pistol or harbinger 111 spam...another example of monkey like gameplay The above-mentioned are the reasons behind projectile denial....any further nerf to projectile denial MUST BE WITH NO EXCEPTION be accompanied by removal/nerfs for the builds above... Now go...all "players" running any of those builds can add their little sad/confuse emote, the more the better, it would clearly show and explain why this thread exists in the first place..so by all means, go crazy with the emojis
