  1. It isn't even the point of this topic. I find your posts baffling. I see from your post history you need to criticize and complain. So you did it. Now move on from it.
  2. I miss dual professions the most from gw1. It was fun to always find new ways in playing a character. Anyone know what games let me do that. I saw games like runescape and final fantasy maybe once did, and elder scrolls online kind of does, but now I can only find dungeons and dragons online that actually does allow cross class builds.
  3. There is no other game in the entire industry that did the systems it did. Its systems were clever and simple yet deep. It was the Magic The Gathering of online rpgs. It was praised by critics. Just read the reviews. And arenanet decided that a sequel game built to mimic world of warcraft was what the industry needed. And they spent 10 rocky years on a rollercoaster due to that decision.
  4. I remember two years ago the anniversary event added 1 new skill per class and a new unique weapon per class. It was amazing and so many people were coming back to hunt down the new skill and earn the new weapon for making new builds. And we were all in the outposts dancing and talking about our shared love of the game. I hope to see another anniversary like that. It was a joy to behold. It doesn't take much to get everyone to log in. It makes me sad that nobody at arenanet wants to work on gw1 anymore or wants to see any of gw1's mechanics brought to gw2. The game was so unique and deep despite its simplicity. Like a card game in a way.
  5. It's love for guild wars 1. Arenanet can you please give guild wars an update. I'd love to go back and play it again. I love seeing the first game getting it's due praise. Why Is Guild Wars 1 the Forgotten MMORPG? : MMORPG (reddit.com)
  6. My incentive to go anywhere revolves around the question "what can I unlock to play with". Cause that's what gaming is to me. There was the elite spec and the mount. I guess some people like doing events over and over again to get drops to sell to other players for those player's gold, but I don't care about that. That's not a game thing to me.
  7. When I am in WvW and see a blob and do my dodge I die almost 100% of the time in 'mist space' or whatever state my dodge is in. It's not an evasion that's for sure.
  8. Maybe hero points could also give a region reputation point. A core hero point challenge also gives a Tyrian Reputation Point, Heart of Thorns hero point challenges also give a Maguuma Reputation Point, Path of Fire... etc. That can all be done retroactively. The game knows every hero point a character has and hasn't done. If that is implemented then it isn't about "what's the point of extra hero points, or why do the hero point challenges that are only worth 1 point?", because then we another system in place that gives the same content a new use. Ensuring there is incentive to do what's already there makes content more efficient for player retention. There is 100s and 100s of hero point challenges and the game should take advantage of that.
  9. Some areas look like a painting and I think those are really nice examples of what the game should look like. It's like the terrain has the texture of canvas or paper and the colours kind of look like watercolours or pastels over that texture. It's so hard to describe becasue it's subtle and doesn't literally look like what I'm describing. I give up!
  10. Nobody is going to pause the game and freak out that a transparent model has vertexes that don't add up canonically. That's absolutely ridiculous to even bring that up.
  11. At first if you wanted all your classes skills unlocked you had to find hero challenges, earn skill points, and unlock new skills with those. They were the class progression path. When class progression got changed to give every pointed needed through leveling up, all hero challenges and their reason for their being got severely relegated to how you are viewing them now. It is a shame that something in the game was abandoned like that. There is a lot of them and they could have been reworked to retain their intended value as progression content.
  12. I would like more elites, but with shorter cooldowns and less gimmicky actions. I like my builds to have less powerful, more ready elites and there is very few of those.
  13. It was given to the tablet for a reason! If you want to sit on a tablet for alacrity because you don't have another class then go for it. But P.U.! Stinky, no fun. It's just a stop gap.
  14. I am bummed that core HPs got relegated. They don't mean anything. If someone doesn't have an expansion, they don't need them. If someone does get an expansion, they can get 100 hp from a quick verdant brink, seitung harbour sweep... but to get 100 hp from tyria would take an incredibly long time. It's unfortunate that the game didn't give any incentive to do the core hero points anymore once the system revamp made it so that every level you get free points.
  15. I don't understand what changed to make it so overpowered as people say. It just got concentration and expertise added to make it more attractive compared to gear focused on support or condition damage. Is it just overpowered in making a condition build more tanky? Trailblazer, plaguedoctor and ritualist are probably doing that too.
  16. Right now, slamming the ashes into the ground is the revenant sliding around on one knee and it looks so sloppy. It also keeps the revenant from doing anything while it's playing out so it just feels like a bad decision to actually end the skill that way instead of canceling it with an action, such as a legend swap. It would look cooler if Viktor flew down slamming his own ashes into the ground. Poetic. Visually stunning. A lot smoother gameplay. Viktor can be a blue version of the game model Archemorus uses. He can use the vindicators dodge slam animation too. No new assets are needed! If the game's skill creators want to make using the urn an interruptible action, then I understand why it is the way it is, but I wish it was done differently. Someone else reviewed the class and said a similar thing. The urn just feels wrong. The Vindicator - GW2 End of Dragons Revenant Mechanics + Gameplay - YouTube
  17. You can go to other starter areas and do those. They mostly have animals and ghosts and giant hairy slobbering spiders.
  18. Engineer will summon robot mounts they can jump into. Ranger will summon mounts into battle to fight alongside them. Warrior will flex next to mounts. Elementalists will get 80 new skills that do nothing new nor better than what they have. The rest don't matter.
  19. The more I think about a system that allows core classes to modify their armour class the more I like it. A whole new specialization system that adds modifiers based on armour class. For example it lowers stealth duration if you wear heavy. Increases stability duration if you wear heavy. Oh there is so much depth that could be added that way. And your proficiency in an armour class could be raised by how many armour skins you unlock. So as you explore the world and find more heavy armour types the more proficient you get at heavy armour. Elder Scrolls Online has an armour class system but it's not even that deep. This idea is really interesting.
  20. I really hope this someday makes it into the game. I finally have a set of heavy ascended armour that I can share between characters but they are different races so all my cultural skins are pointless. This is a frustrating situation.
  21. I only see one. The rest appear to be underground. March 15th update didn't fix it properly.
  22. I wish there was better things to use spirit shards on. I bet across all players there is trillions rotting in wallets. Let's go make that cragstone shield guys and then the 100s of more skins like that which NOBODY uses. 🤣 Lot of stuff in this game just rotting away because it's easier to just let things stay as they are.
  23. That'll mean 45 separate 'classes' that need to be balanced to comparatively compete for 3 roles. It'll be an 'I told you so' moment for sure.
  24. When I first went there on EoD release there was possibly 4 or 5 quartz in total in that area. I think they are all under the mesh now and out of reach. Not everyone I talk to has this issue. I don't understand how nodes can be under mesh for me and others but not everyone if they are all telling the truth. I don't know what to make of all this.
