  1. Playing mechanist because you want a pet class means being happy with never getting a single new skill again because mechanist is never getting any more than what it has. What an awful system for an mmorpg. I am already bored of this expac and looking for another game.
  2. I think dodge is down. I like if all things used that as I kind of think of dodge as crouching to roll, so it's going downward.
  3. When I go above and below the water in kaineng the screen flashes purple in dx11. It is happening regularly enough that I though I'd post about it.
  4. I look forward to new sets in elder scrolls online. How come guild wars 2 just doesn't add any new sigils or runes. Elder Scrolls Online knows it's a form of horizontal progression. Doesn't guild wars 2 see it that way.
  5. It's how guild wars 2 gets rid of inflated currencies. I think it's bad for the game to just add such grossly overpriced stuff. That's what, thousands of renown heart completions? For a skin. Go ahead and emote 'confuse'. I just care about what's best for the game and I can never believe that pricing game rewards so outrageously is good for player retention. It all revolves around lifers and their savings at this point.

  7. I have to admit, I am having a much easier time with these HPs than heart of thorns. I think this one okay so far except for this one elite respawn that knocked me off a cliff while I was enjoying the view. I felt that was a cheap shot for sure. Respawns in mmorpgs are never fun anyway.
  8. It has been proven to be a megaserver issue. Developer response was given in the bug forum. Thank you to everyone that reported it so that it could be investigated.
  9. I don't see many people and when I talk in map chat there is no response. It feels off somehow. I don't know if something is wrong.
  10. Arenanet devs, please add two mastery skill slots and a hotkey for each. Right now reddit is adamantly asking for keybinds for each mastery skill and it's only because they find swapping between fishing and skiff frustrating, which it is frustrating. I don't think they are ever going to stop asking for separate keybinds now for all mastery skills unless you give them two slots to use.
  11. Because this is a SKILL SLOT they plan to add many more skills. That would make adding a keybind for each skill problematic. What should be asked for is TWO mastery skill slots and each slot has it's own activation hotkey. Then a person can group two skills together. Because skiff and fishing do work in tandem that would be a nice QoL addition that still fits into the future use of the new skill slot.
  12. An asura gate in Lion's Arch will lead to Cantha, but I don't know how to activate it. There is a work er hammering at it. I know it because my story marker points to getting back to cantha by going to that gate! 😲
  13. Being able to bring out a kit like that is really good. The fishing pole for example becomes a convenient new way to interact with the world. Last night in WvW we were popping out our fishing poles looking for places to fish. Even though we only caught weeds it was wild having a new layer of world interaction like that. I think this mastery skill slot is a great idea!
  14. I guess I have no choice but to play it their way since they aren't adding anything to core elementalist, tempest or weaver.
  15. As long as I can still solo champs with them. I don't want to lose that.
  16. Use the boost. No matter what you do, you will reach a point in the storytelling, where you will have no idea what's going on or even know who most of the pivotal story NPCs are. They literally just appear. You'd have to watch youtube videos because the game abandoned that content.

  18. I finished the core storyline twice and it was once too much. edit: I'm not against how it started. The way it starts is fun with lots of variety across the races and choices. How it ends is just mission after mission, of doing something kind of interesting to suddenly be stuck fighting waves of risen, again and again, and listening to traeherne being all generic leader.

  20. I really liked how in guild wars 1 completing a campaign rewarded something rare or hard to get and it felt good. And it felt like it was even worth it after doing the same campaign on a different character. Usually it was a currency that could be traded to a vendor for a weapon. Once was good enough, but getting that currency again on a second character was still very cool, because then you could pick something else in that vendor's list.
  21. If it's a way of doing a lot of damage from a distance, then I bet people will use it once at the beginning of a world boss. Same with how people start a boss with the springer mounts if a boss has a defiance bar.
  22. Over the years I've had some threads merged and it's basically a way to end it and bury it. It's not worth worrying about anymore.
