Just tried a bit ago, my account is fine, but my wife's account crashes upon trying to open the gemstore. Can still use the trading post but need to either sell via items in inventory or talk to a trading post NPC. I do notice that her account has the icon glowing claiming a new item while mine does not. perhaps a sync error.

Yes, I wrote a ticket few days ago, they were really fast to gives me answers but they didn't manage to fix it.
They asked me many reports (crash.dmp logs, HijackThis) because this is their protocols, i guess. I already told them before that I tried everything even on others computers my account is crashing where any others accounts I have works well.

Finally after two days, they told me that their teams are aware of the problems and they working for a fix as soon as possible.

I gave an answer to this to ask if they plan to gives any promotions or extend gemstore promotions and they told me:

Which is mean that they can't extend gemstore promotions/items but they can maybe do something for you if you write them. (like maybe you can ask for an item that you missed, i don't really know)

I hope this problems will be soon resolved because it's really annoying even more when their lasts news gives 0 infos for this issues.
Anyway, it could be worst; actually few peoples can't even start the game.

I hope that reassures few peoples.

Similar to other reports, I am unable to load the Gem Store without the client crashing. It happens every time I open the Gem Store and I am unable to make my desired purchases with gems any longer.

I am not using any sort of overlay programs (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc).

I am not using any kind of addons (ArcDPS, etc).

I have DX11 (beta) enabled, however I have attempted opening the Gem Store with DX11 disabled and receive the same crash.

I have ensured that Windows Defender has exceptions for the Guild Wars 2 client and it is fully allowed.

 

Any help would be appreciated so I can continue supporting the game and make purchases.

Similar to other reports, I am unable to load the Gem Store without the client crashing. It happens every time I open the Gem Store and I am unable to make my desired purchases with gems any longer.

I am not using any sort of overlay programs (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc).

I have DX11 (beta) enabled, however I have attempted opening the Gem Store with DX11 disabled and receive the same crash.

I am happy to report that the patch that was just released this morning has resolved this issue.

this error got me too;
after some poking around this works for me as a workaround :
1. Go to tp npc till you see the talk button (don´t press f right now)

2. right click any item -> sell on tp -> click cancel -> press "f" to talk to tp npc -> now you can sell and buy normally

!! trying to get into Gem Store from there crashes the Game!!
maybe this is caused by anet changing the payment provider?

UPDATE (18 hours later):  Seems to be fixed now.  If an Anet employee saw this post and took care of it...thank you.  Very much appreciated.

I got this problem now.. i was doing auric basin meta and tried to open gem store and my client keep crashing, ive done all the "fixes" that i can find from the forum and reddit, deleting shader cache, temp folder, and stuff, but i keep crashing whenever i open gem store.

It seems to work if I use the TP merchant, but if I press 'O' or click the Black Lion icon, I crash.
