Remember, this is a product we paid for.

Recommended Posts

The vast majority of us actually bought Guild Wars 2, before it was free and I'm willing to wager that 99% of the players on this forum have bought at least one expansion, not to mention all the gems we have collectively bought.

PvP is supposed to be part of that product. There are some who even exclusively bought GW2 for the PvP and the expansions to be able to play those classes in PvP.

We paid for this product, and ANet is giving us the middle finger. They are not even acknowledging PvP exists, they didn't even mention it in the roadmap. There is zero communication, zero developer investment in the issues that plague this game mode and the balancing changes are clearly out of tune with the reality of how the gameplay currently works and what it needs. They don't give a kitten.

Remember that.

Well... All players agreed to a chart in order to play this game and the answer that the developper would probably give to the OP is writen on this chart.

The short version for those that did not bother read this chart before agreeing to it is that the game and everything within belong to their compagny while the "player/customer" only buy the right to access the game.

You knew what you were signing up for when you purchased the expansions - PvP content was never falsely advertised. I would love some developer attention on PvP too but this topic is silly.

It depends on which expansion

Obviously it hasn't been all bad, otherwise nobody would be here complaining. At one point or another, it was good enough. If it was 100% terrible from day 1, then where we're at now would have come a lot sooner, and everyone here would have just moved on.

But like I said, it depends on which expansion, when you started playing and spending.

If you bought the base game back when it was still a 1-time p2p game, then you were lied to and you have every right to be angry.

HoT is debatable because that's when PvP got the most attention in the game's history

PoF players were definitely lied to because those players arrived in the golden age of soloq, only to have that torn away.

No EoD player was lied to though. At that point, everyone knew PvP was abandoned and any pvp player who bought it knew full-well that they were only buying it for the elite specs, and nothing else.

I agree, fell in love with the game. Was a short honeymoon phase. Atm im on a little break just playing from time too time. Gave alot of money would be willing to give alot more. If the Devs listened too their player base. Or atleast give some feedback in the forums.

I bet they will release a bikini set in the GEMSTORE before anything in the Pvp section is fixed.

PVP used to be good before EOD release. Eod killed pvp and wvw. Also killed pve with meme builds. Overally, its the fault of whoever thought eod specs were balanced.

This and buffing things in a lazy way. Being good used to mean something. Now an average gold 3 player can run a build for 5 games and be good enough for p2.
