Again fail to pick the darn Shadow Abyss Dye

Recommended Posts

For the third time fail to pick the Shadow Abyss Dye from Jubilant Dye Pack... but this time it was a total miss click I scroll a bit making sure I pick the right one but before clicking accept my mouse probably double click and pick the last dye of the list the yelllow abyss that cost only 4 gold the cheapest one from all of them and because i'im dumb dumb I don't slow double check the confirmation...

I hate this game so much sometime and guess I'm kittened because it's not something GM would help me it right?
Next try may be in 2 and half years if the game still alive...

I mean if you have done it three times now, that's certainly an issue on you. Having said that, Support are helpful where they can be. The worst they can say is no

Be polite, explain your issue and see what they say.

So, just asking, but why did you post this in the forum for the upcoming expansion?

If this sort of thing happens to you a lot, especially if it's not just in GW2 where you find you keep clicking things you didn't mean to, it might be worth adjusting your mouse settings.

You don't need an expensive mouse or specialist software to do it. Windows has built-in mouse settings (and I think Linux does too) which can change things like how far you scroll with one 'click' of the mouse wheel and how close together two clicks need to be to count as a double-click. With some mice you can also change the button sensitivity so it's harder to accidentally single-click things.

To be fair, 177g is not a lot of gold for many players. Its not even a grind, casually investing 30min per day gets you there and beyond in a week.  A lot of people have troubles focusing and thats the sole reason, why there are rants about legendaries and old school skyscale acquisition etc.

How the hell are you making almost 200g a week?

I dont understand. How do people feel the need to flex how much gold they make? Sine pople dont have this "make gold now" mindset. Some people actually play the game to chill and get away from the needing to make money grind of RL. I know i do.

OP, best advice i can give you, check your mouse settings. I had an mouse that automatically double clicked (cuz i thought that was useful) turns out its very bad! Check your settings amd disqble double click on click (or however it was called)

They should go back and make dye selection boxes with account-bound dyes only show unlockable dyes. They didn't do this in the past, but they have the ability now. We see it being done with things like achievement weapon skin selection boxes.

Off topic, but a lot of things should do this and they do not. Account-bound recipe selection boxes, etc. These boxes are filled with useless visual clutter that could only act as a pitfall for players who select an item that they have no use for anymore. It's kind of annoying for people playing content with these boxes that drop all of the time.

Most likely playing on multiple accounts to get certain things done daily and consolidating to main account.

I am doing actually about 500g per week if i do not focus massively on earning gold. They key is finding a routine, that doesn’t burn you out. For me its a mix of crafting and TP trading and for this I invest about 30mins a day. Some days per week, this my only activity ingame, as few ingame activities are fun if you only have a 30 min to spend. It works pretty well for me out, as i usually have the gold available whenever i have more than 30 min to spend and need it. And the most important thing is: i enjoy this 30min, especially as i know it pays off.

Its not about flexing bro, its about showing people whats possible with a reasonable time investment and a little tinkering in terms of efficiency and personal gameplay loop.

And some people don't have said time, or the patience to do the tinkering. i personally dispise playing optimally efficeint, its not a job. i play to get away from this "Efficiency grind" of RL

What i do is far from being optimal or grinding at least for me., being just a little more efficient helps a lot - might improve your gameplay experience and widens your horizon regarding what is possible gameplay wise.

You don't even really have to efficiency grind. Mostly all that's needed is to invest in the passive income makers and know how the economy works and what to do with what currencies/mats. I probably make about 250g a week now and the only solid routine I have is just using my currency converter gizmos (roughly 30 seconds), making the once a day ascended mats (another 30 seconds), and trading in materials to the Drizzlewood Coast vendor (loading screen + talking to a vendor for 10 seconds).

99% of this game's economy is just knowing that the GW2 Fast Farming website exists and has a profit breakdown for basically everything in the game. Just invest in the passive income makers like converters and infinite tools w/ volatility glyphs and then go do whatever content you want.

GW2 Fast Farming Community IS about optimising. most profit, in least time, for the lowest cost. (or that is how i percieve em) I fish for my gold. and i will keep fishing even if ambergris prices drop, cuz its what i enjoy.

I get that not everyone likes to be so simple as i do, but saying that 177g is easy to make is not true for everyone. some people dont want to do meta's, or crafting, others dont wanna fish, or do fractals. personally i dont get the mindest that is borderline on treating the game as a second job. but thats me. I am also a non-competetive player. (which i've been told is really rare in MMO's as you need to be having some form of Comptetive spirit in order to enjoy them apperently.)

TLDR: What you can make in a week, is unachievable for others.

I was only posting to show that it's possible to make money without having to grind the most efficient Metas in the game or engage with a bunch of content you don't enjoy. Just like, "Hey, do whatever content you want and here's an easy to use reference that gives you the knowledge of how to maximize returns on whatever you get from whatever you feel like doing. And hey, here's some incredibly low-effort, unintrusive ways to passively make gold with virtually no time/gameplay commitment."

People posting tips about how to engage with the game's economy in unobtrusive ways and giving examples of what's possible isn't a "flex"; it's trying to help the people complaining about struggling with it.

Pics or it didn't/doesn't happen.

Pretty sure that's the same "advice" on those youtube channels for making $500/week on Etsy...  but I'm sure you can't share your awesome secret because "then everyone will do it" so you "just have to figure out your own niche", right?
I'm sure the OP thanks you for your vague and completely useless (read: not true) advice. /eyeroll

@BakaNekoQc.1732 if you havent reached out to support already, try it - they can be pretty good about this stuff. Twice I've had occasions where I bought the wrong skin and they swapped it for me, so they will if they can.
Also, slow your mouse settings in your devices so that you have to make more of an effort to click and move with the cursor, it might help. Good luck!

Ah alright so any information that is not served on a silver plate is useless? Oh boy what a mentality. Thing is, its not hard at all but the biggest barrier is the fact that you need to learn how the gw2 economy works. There is no recipe that always works out perfectly. There will be good and bad weeks.

but alright here to sum it up for you in easy words:

100g capital is enough if you invest up to 90g to get your economy running.

- flip items, dont flip the ones  that are on front page of gw2bltc for flipping. Search for items wich are in a stable ROI range of 10-20% at most  and which are needed for popular crafts.

- craft items that are high in sell-  and buy numbers which have a good roi on buying basemats.

to give you a very precise example that, over the course of few weeks , earned me multiple hundreds of gold:

Buy tons of lentils at buy price.

trade karma for lemons

craft a kitten ton of „elon red“ and sell it at sell price.

(Method works till now)

- always spread your investments on multiple crafts and flips.

- and most important lesson: be patient and let your personal economy build.

cheers dude, have fun earning gold. I‘m Rich, you Know.
