  1. Right now I've just reached the Echovald Wilds. No idea on how long the story is, but I'm already 10 Chapters in (Prologue to Chapter 9) but I've only just started Act 3 according to the achievements tab, so this story seems to be going strong in terms of length compared to HoTs and PoF. This is only me focusing the story right now so I've not properly done the map metas and explored everywhere, but I've genuinely enjoyed my time so far. Gonna be interesting to see the rest of it once I've actually finished the story.
  2. People really wildin here asking for nerfs for a content that only got a single beta kek
  3. I don't exactly know what you're reading but from what I've read thus far, this is the ONLY topic about EoD that's actually more respectful in tone compared to everything else. And I say that knowing some of the people replying here don't even do Fractals in general yet they still agree that what ANet is doing regarding CM Fractals and taking away Mystic Coins is bad by design.
  4. I can understand the situation better, but the problem isn't the Mystic Coins themselves, the Mystic Coins just happen to be the item the problem revolves around. The real problem is the fact that there will be no real incentive to farm Fractal CM once the Mystic Coins are removed. It doesn't matter what the average probability of someone getting MC in a Fractal CM run is, what matters most is that MC is an incentive to farm CM Fractals which means that people played the content even if the RNG is stacked against them because it incentivised playing CM Fractals. All this is doing is pushing the incentive from CM Fractals to Strike Missions, that's not a justification, that's blatant disregard of the actual problem. You need to provide an alternative incentive to CM Fractals. Without any real incentive (Ima repeat that word cuz that's the key to this entire problem) to play CM Fractals, what's the point of having CM Fractals? People will just run regular Fractals because its rewards would be near identical to CM once the coins are removed. You can either provide something different to Strike Missions and keep the Mystic Coins in CM Fractals or actually provide a proper alternative incentive to Mystic Coins in CM Fractals because right now it sounds like no one at ANet actually wants to solve the problem and just wants to blurt out words to justify a flawed decision.
  5. Feels like Dragon was made with high crit rate E-Specs in mind and I'm actually curious how much that's going to affect my Renegade build.
  6. Yes they will, Ruby stated it a while back, each weapon will have its skin and effects match the Elder Dragon it's based on so Zhaitan Legendaries will have Zhaitan effects and so on
  7. It works in the exact same way as Dragonstorm. Story mission is the super easy version that gives you an idea as to how the World Boss version is gonna go down. EoD Story Bosses will be the super easy mode that gives you an idea as to how the boss mechanics will work for the Strike Mission if you wanna do them. Strike Missions won't be essential in any capacity with the story.
  8. KEEP AN EYE ON CONNOR BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENS TO CANTHAN KITTENS
  9. You made next to no point about the actual game and people caught you on that. I ain't here to gloat, I simply pointed the facts.
  10. I like the fact that OP jumped thread when everyone realized they ain't complaining about Cantha and the fact that OP never played OG Guild Wars kek
  11. People really reading too much into a release date. Lemme put it this way, if they released it on a Friday and players run into game breaking bugs, they ain't gonna fix that over the weekend. Better to release it at the start of the week when they are actually working so they can fix any bugs or server issues. That way, by the end of the week, it should be a smoother experience for the influx of players. And this I can guarantee, no matter how much resource they spend on QA Testing things, there's always going to be issues that slip through, that's just the nature of game development.
  12. For someone claiming we don't need high deduction skills to put everything together, you sure didn't manage to put together the fact that ANet didn't decide on anything, NCSoft did. They were literally the ones who wanted to abandon GW2 in favour of "new IPs" that instantly failed because NCSoft doesn't know what they're doing https://www.mcvuk.com/business-news/ncsoft-makes-staff-reductions-at-guild-wars-2-developer-arenanet/ https://massivelyop.com/2019/01/21/ncsoft-west-mobile-studio-iron-tiger-hit-with-layoffs-ahead-of-aion-legions-of-war-launch/ And let's not forget how they massively failed to launch a sequel to Blade And Soul https://frontofficesports.com/ncsoft-loses-3-7b-in-value-after-blade-and-soul-2-flops/ https://en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20210913007100320 I can't post the best one yet because it apparently involves potential law enforcement investigation, so I'm not going to. With that said, if anyone thinks it's ANet who are actually making the major decisions in the way GW2 is heading, they ain't. They've been dealt a bad hand and trying whatever they can with what they are given. They've made some terrible choices sure, but never in the grand scale of what people are claiming cuz that's never a studio choice, that's always the Parent Company choice.
  13. If you mean "stepped in" as in NCSoft demanding ANet to make them money after NCSoft wasted staff and resources on their failed new IP and Blade And Souls 2, then yeah sure, NCSoft "stepped in" alright...
  14. People really need to stop pushing this notion that GW2, or just the Guild Wars series in general, never pushed the Sci-Fi theme in any capacity. We've been having these sci-fi themed scenarios in the game since Eye of the North in GW1 and the fact that people are still thinking GW2 doesn't explore Sci-Fi makes me feel like we're not playing the same games at all. I'm not going to judge people for when they started this series but from the moment I set foot in pre-searing Ascalon in the launch of Prophecies all the way up until this point, I've seen this series transition its world, which actually makes it feel like a genuine Living World because there's a genuine sense of time passage that no other MMO is capable of truly capturing. This is literally no different to Rata Sum at all. Heck, Rata Sum is actually worse with the amount of Sci-Fi technobabble and imagery it produces. Cantha on the other hand has a far more balanced feel to it. This literally feels like Kaineng actually evolved technologically but at the same time it still feels like the metropolitan city I remember.
  15. We have this already It's called Kralkatorrik
  16. I'd be willing to pay 2.5k gems for a bundle of 5 Mythic Weapons chest at this point over the current way they are doing things with the outfit bundles.
  17. Trying to finish off the the Return to Bjora Marches achievements and this part is literally still getting stuck on Braham's part no matter which camp he's in...
  18. Unlike the other Legendaries that only have one iteration, these ones are the most diverse from my perspective. You have 6 iterations of a single Legendary weapon. Yes the base form is the same, but the fact that there's enough difference in both characteristics and special effects makes it one of the most diverse Legendaries thus far. The only thing that comes even remotely close with 3 designs is Eternal, all others only have one singular design and that's it. As for the issues regarding the TP part, I do agree that they should really consider it as being account bound instead. Unless we get multiple copies of them like we do BLC skins, I see no reason to have them be sold on TP. I think it's best that we have a poll/feedback thread to address that issue in particular because ANet literally gave no reasoning behind it being in TP.
  19. So essentially, it's not 16 Aurene Legendaries It's 96 Elder Dragon Legendaries total, potentially up to 112 if we count DSD 16 Core (Aurene) 16 Risen (Zhaitan) 16 Mordrem (Mordremoth) 16 Branded (Kralkatorrik) 16 Destroyer (Primordus) 16 Icebrood (Jormag) And possibly another 16 "Abyssal" (just making that up right now, we don't know DSD's minions yet) for the last Elder Dragon. So they've basically created what can be collectively known as the "Legendary Elder Dragon Armaments". With a total of 96-112 weapons overall. And they all have their own auras and effects based on the Elder Dragon they are conjuring. They all share the same base design, but they are also very unique in terms of their overall appearance as they take on the characteristics of the respective Elder Dragon. Welp, they definitely went above and beyond on this one. That definitely turned the perspective on why the Aurene Legendaries was a collective appearance rather than different weapons with different lores and appearance.
  20. Bruh, you really just assumed they copied Gilgamesh? If you really wanna grasp that straw so hard, Gilgamesh copied Vergil from Devil May Cry, who had the ability to summon swords since the first DMC game back in 2001, the first Fate game came out in 2004. If anyone needs to get out this forum cave, it's you. For someone who refunded the expac, the fact that you're still here being hostile towards people enjoying the expansion shows you really need to leave the forums for a bit and maybe go touch some grass or something.
  21. So in order for Kalla to be anywhere near reliable, they have to essentially make its utilities broken. Meanwhile Alliance is already viable as a Legend despite being in beta phase and having its current skills apparently "useless or terrible" according to people in these forums. Welp, I'm not gonna force people to change their minds, but end of the day, calling Alliance terrible or useless is factually wrong because people have already proven how decent it actually is. It may be terrible for some people to use because they can't adjust to it, but that's an issue for the player, not so much the actual Legend. It still needs balancing, that much we can all agree with.
  22. Except a company like ANet provides us with beta testing and demos along with actual communication and going through player feedback. This is literally serving the customer free samples, if that free sample was the starter menu at no extra cost.
  23. The only thing that's stopping Glint from being replaced by base Legends is Facet passives because they actually affect other people. No one uses Kalla on Renegade in WvW because her Legend is genuinely useless. Alliance has genuine viability that people are overlooking because tunnel vision. The fact that I've provided videos of someone effectively using Alliance yet somehow people still argue it's useless just proves the point. Feels like people are overreliant on Shiro+Jalis right now that they aren't willing to experiment with the Alliance Legend. That's really concerning if that's the case because the overreliance on Shiro+Jalis from a PvP/WvW perspective means something is either overtuned or far too prominent of a necessity somewhere and the last thing we need is ANet killing the profession.
