  1. ive never heard of you, so very unlikely this is true. that, or you did 10 games and "placed high" but never actually got on the leaderboards, making YOUR point invalid.. Nah. I've seen him often at P2-P3 and in top 50 a good deal of times. I've never seen you though, so we can surmise that you probably play on NA ?
  2. At that point you might as well post meta builds for WvW zerging, WvW smallscale, solo roaming, 2v2, 3v3, Stronghold and GvG for GW2
  3. Anything that constitutes as melee cleave should rightfully be punishing to encourage positioning, movement and kiting. Ideally the aforementioned types of AoE should have long enough cooldowns that it's not a constant barrage of area denial. Shorter intervals of it are ok since the natural counter to it is supposed to be either not being in the area that's being zoned or having a burst of defensive tools that a team can coordinate to negate the brunt of it.
  4. Zoning/Area Denial through AoE is good gameplay. It's just not supposed to have constant uptime. That's really bad. Plaguelands since you mention it, alongside Wells are for example healthy zoning tools. They have long cooldowns (although this is being eroded by constant cooldown reductions on Wells) and ideally make an area temporarily off limits for a short time. While things like Shades the way they used to be on old Condi Scourge builds or Engi Nades as well as Guardian Symbols more recently are shining examples of unhealthy zoning and area denial. Plaguelands should definitely have an easier to see visual though.
  5. A Stronghold season could be fun. As long as they take measures beforehand to ensure it doesn't devolve into rushing the enemy boss and ignoring fights completely while throwing so much support on the Doorbreakers that they can't be killed like the way it happened when it was new.
  6. Kinda depends on your role. Support and teamfighters generally can't carry a game as much as +1 and sidenoders.
  7. I've done this but for a different reason in the past. I tanked myself really hard once down to like low gold 3 trying to make a really bad build work. Asked a friend of mine in P3 for duo to get myself back up at my usual rating knowing we'd face harder opponents but also getting teammates that know how to play the game. Worked more or less the way I wanted it to. We got nothing but teammates and opponents within his rating range for all our matches. Even though he lost 17-20 rating per loss when I lost 7-12 tops the few losses we had until I got up near a similar rating to his.
  8. The matchmaker does all it can to find a match for legend players too so they don't have to wait 40min - 1h like they had to once. This does mean you're gonna run into high P3 and Legs when you're low plat sometimes.
  9. It uses the highest player's rating in the party for matchmaking purposes. Are you sure about that? Then the population/matchmaking must be a lot more dire than I thought with frequently seeing literally 2 of the Top 5 players in a team vs entire teams with not a single person on the leaderboard. Seems odd.Yes. Otherwise you could just have a buddy tank an alt as low as he can and then queue with him on your main to farm free wins against golds.

  11. Nah. It's a pretty good balance philosophy to have CC be an integral part of the meta. I personally am in favor of metagames in games where the TTK is high and securing a kill requires two or more players to coordinate CC to lock down a player to finish the player off. When it gets a point where a single player can do both alone, then you know the balance is bad.
  12. Builds also weren't supposed to be able to self stack long durations of 25 Might after the February patch. In case anyone forgot.
  13. Both Lich and Rampage should honestly be removed as a side note.
  14. I think if you give Warrior more mobility, a ranged pull in their core kit available to all specs and some better access to reveal that would go a long way in giving it a place in the meta.
  15. If a single traitline is keeping a class relevant it probably is busted.
  16. I meant Death Magic, Explosions, Devastation, Tactics.Let's be fair though Death Magic had its rework long before the February update. But Death Magic also only really became a thing after all the nerfs to everything else in the February patch. It was pretty bad before that.
  17. it seems Reaper would be quite strong, and melt their spirits. i play a duelist build on my ranger, so i feel i have to rotate around these bastards.Reaper is pretty good against it yeah. But it's always risky going Reaper if you don't have FB or Tempest on your team. Wouldn't Axe 4 on Ranger be good against it? Or possibly the wyvern with the flappy wind knockback thing.
  18. Get them off the point with CC. I don't play other classes, but on Nec you can Spectral Grasp, GS5 or Fear them off and it messes things up a bunch for them.
