  1. I'd probably quit PvP altogether if they forced you to do ATs for stuff like badges and leaderboard placements. I don't mind ATs, but putting together a team or joining one through LFG(which would be all kinds of wonky if they removed badges/LB from current ranked that people use to filter players) is just so incredibly tiresome compared to pressing a single button. The times I've joined P3/LB50 parties for ATs I've honestly kinda hated every moment of it. Everything from the seething tryhards who can't chill tf out, having to bother caring about the party comp, having to get on voice instead of just blasting music and zoning out. I just wanna solo queue and play Necro to the best of my abilities. All that other stuff requires thinking. And god dang do I hate thinking.
  2. As long as Rampage never ever gets damage back on its 2, 4 and 5 skills they can do whatever with Warrior to buff it. It's the class I like the most besides Necro anyway. But pre-nerf Rampage was beyond dumb and made pre-nerf Lich look like a complete joke in comparison. As long as they don't tie Warrior balance to to Rampage again we're fine.
  3. None of the skills with an aftercast delay has the aftercast delay stated in the tooltips though. This isn't unique to Engi pistol.

  5. WvW should always have used the PvP amulet system. About a 3rd of my 30~ sets of asc armor are made for messing around in WvW roaming. But I wouldn't mind at all. The end product would be worth it.

  7. Just pointing out that people have rolled Warr with the intent to cheese in the past. And the OG Skull Crack was pre-HoT. If you didn't play during that time, all you need to know is that it had half the current cast time, no aftercast at all and pretty much no telegraph to watch out for.
  8. There's been some moments where players did exactly that though. Pre-cast time increase and visual animation update Skull Crack and later Condizerker Skull Grinder both got bandwagoned pretty hard the same way Burn DH got not too long ago before nerfs and the way Supp Scourge was/is being bandwagoned now.
  9. Every single rune that gives swiftness, superspeed or has a passive movement speed bonus should have it removed. Traits for all classes should be looked over to see how to best standardize 15/25/33/66/100 % bonuses among them and their respective classes and elite specializations. The distinction between low mobility and high mobility classes has gotten pretty muddled and it's been bothering me for ages to be honest. Because it does have a negative impact on the game and on balancing in general.
  10. Why the heck is PvE included in this? Warr is legitimately in a good place in PvE. Wanted but not so good you absolutely have to have one on every encounter. Ability to switch between Condi and Power depending on boss, good breakbar dmg. It has a very good DPS spec you can switch to and is usually the best choice of class to handle various raid mechanics. You can even do HK on it. There's been some questionable stuff in regards to changes in Tactics and Discipline, but nothing major.
  11. They literally did way back yo In this Feb 2018 patch The little flare up that happens and and the 0.5 activation delay did not exist before that. They were completely instantaneous. The change actually felt insanely bad at first because it felt like playing with permanent lag after having grown used to the original Shade skills.

  13. ANet really doesn't give a kitten about something like that in WvW since it's not something that really affects largescale, and smallscale and roaming aren't what the mode gets balanced around. Basic cleave should never ever be stronger than hand-ressing. The sweet spot is when cleave is only just enough to slow down or stalemate a ress until an actual stomp can be secured. Actively stomping over cleaving to secure the kill itself should be heavily incentivized and balanced around. But I do think that the current speed of hand-ressing needs to be nerfed somewhat.
  14. Pretty sure it's because it's broken for Elementalists because of how Vapor Form counts as reviving yourself and then downing yourself again when it runs out iirc
  15. Seriously? Rifle 5 > About Face > Acid Bomb was as good as a 1200 range teleport. And you often saw Slick Shoes on the same build which had the superspeed toolbelt skill. The good Engis were fast as heck.
  16. I'm assuming you're talking about the pre-HoT metas? Because then its not really true and you'll realize it when you remember that Cele/Soldier Rifle Engi had great mobility while tanky. Cele D/D Ele had great mobility while tanky. Shoutbow had great mobility because of sword leap while being tanky. And the meta was positively infested with that unholy awful trinity of garbage.
  17. Play any Necro build without Spectral Walk and Wurm both on your bar alongside a passive movement speed rune or trait and most maps suddenly become very, very big. Arguably, mobility and passive movement speed sources need to be nerfed. The other option is baselining a good amount of existing mobility sources for all classes.

  20. Nah. Scourge, Mirage and Renegade are/were busted af Scourge also shouldn't ever have higher DPS than Reaper as a ranged spec with a bunch of support and utility tools. That's just bad design. The Torment change was also beyond dumb and should be reverted to how it was.
  21. Out of curiosity, what place in PvP do those of you who dislike Scourge want the spec to excel? Disregard 2v2 and 3v3 since balance in those modes is completely irrelevant and does not matter in the slightest. We're talking Conquest.
  22. The decision to make Scourge itself not count as a Shade was very badly implemented. There's a very good reason the entire spec died out in PvP pretty much overnight afterwards. The change came after about a dozen nerfs to Scourge that were made while Scourge functioned as a Shade. If they reverted those previous nerfs to the offensive capabilities of Scourge, it might have landed right about where they wanted it to be. Which I imagine was their vision of a ranged area control/zoning specialization that is weak to burst and in melee. But due to all the nerfs you ended up with a spec that was instead defenseless in melee and with garbage low damage "zoning". So it's either gotta be having the Scourge count as a Shade so it has some defenses up close to defend against melee pressure or ramping up the damage so that the risk-reward factor is actually there. The change was also definitely not good for PvE. It's was pretty awful in fact, since you need to maintain 3 shades in PvE, you could very easily get completely cucked out of a large chunk of your DPS if you had to move the boss.

I used to run Nightmare for the auto transfer on using Plaguelands instead of Lich/Renegade/Elementalist in PvE because the Poison on Plaguelands has always been transferred from me and leaving the Bleeds otherwise. And it always annoyed the heck out of me. The differences between those runes are all fairly small anyway. Lich runes make me wish we could have Mark of Horror back tho.
  24. Bring back the original Deathly Chill and make it stack this time and I will embrace Reaper once more. Oh and add Freeze instead of Stun to Chilled to the Bone and Executioner's Scythe.
  25. Trust me when I say that no one wants Staff to be reworked as much as Necros. It's an incredibly boring but necessary utility weapon for most builds.
