  1. You know what, this thread has convinced me. Let's bring back Team Queue as a 5 man queue only mode and Solo Queue as a 1 man queue only mode and separate them on the leaderboard. Please, let's do it. 🙂
  2. I made both Warbringer and Conflux working a full time job and having chores at home to do. It's not especially hard. In fact it only requires you to play for 2m intervals every 12m or so. You can do plenty of stuff in-between. Vision was way worse. I had to do all the boring LW4 map achievement stuff from scratch since I never bothered to do anything at all in those maps except whatever Story bollocks was in them.
  3. You would also likely be spending more time queueing than playing as well. Or queue into the same high tier premades that farm you again and again. The vast majority of players prefer solo queue and wouldn't play team queue if you brought it back. You really should look into doing ATs with your friends. Assuming you all work 9-5 jobs you should be able to catch the two ATs in the evening before midnight.
  4. Sure. Let's bring back the proper Solo Queue/Team Queue split again. I'll have a laugh when Team Queue is nothing but the top three teams farming everyone and queue dodging each other and going 120-0 again.
  5. Pets are fine when they require micromanaging to be effective. Every skill pets and minions use should be on a hotbar. They should do nothing except auto attack unless you manually press their skills tbh.
  6. It would be insanely busted if it flat out increased all base durations by 50% as well after it gets decoupled from Scepter.
  7. Add a 0.5 base duration Fear to Devouring Cut. I wouldn't mind seeing the 1 second Stun on Vile Blast changed to a 2 second Fear instead as well.
  8. Everything shown for Willbender was incredibly OP. That level of mobility, damage, sustain and CC is just wrong. Rev and Thief are both just flat out replaced in PvP.
  9. Flicked through it, all the Scourges seem to be running Avatar with Staff/Axe + X That's a Power build you know, even if it's a Scourge.
  10. I'm sure Warrior and Guardian players would like me repping their classes when I haven't so much as touched another class in PvP than Necro since HoT 😌
  11. I dunno about Scourge since I wouldn't go sides to 1v1 on it . But for Core Nec, Warrior and Ranger are definitely your hardest counters.
  12. Staff is used because Necro really, really needs Life Force to be effective. The Staff trait happens to have an auto that generates Life Force and a trait that makes it give Life Force in the traitline that boosts Life Force generation that you have to pick for 9/10 builds. A Necro build without good Life Force generation ends up being a bad build by default. The sole exception to this rule has only ever been MM Necro. Soul Reaping and Life Force generation on the weaponsets need a rework, because both Staff and SR are incredibly restrictive.
  13. And thank kitten for that. If Daredevil or Condi Thief were somehow erased, an ungodly amount of Soulbeasts and Deadeyes would be unleashed. And us Necros would be spending the majority of games watching the respawn timer tick down.
  14. I mean yeah sure. If they baseline some more Life Force generation for Necro they could actually give Staff its own identity. The only other weapon aside from traited staff that has acceptable Life Force generation is Dagger mainhand.
  15. Around the same time they changed Auras to become those little eggs around your character that you couldn't really see before they changed them back again. You can probably go back and check some old vids. There were a lot more of the blackish wisps of smoke and there was an actual green cloud instead of just some green wisps. They covered the entire actual AoE circle up to about neck length on a Norn instead of just the middle and up to your feet.
  16. It used to be a thick dark green cloud of smoke The Putrid Cow ammo for the WvW trebs still use the old CPC animation if you wanna know what it looked like. It was changed in that one huge patch they did some years ago where they nerfed lots of visuals on skills and animations in the entire game to try and make the game more watchable as an eSport.

  18. When the did 2v2 and 3v3 stop being anything other than meme game modes you play just to mess around in? The finals on EU for 5v5 had 1 Necro in it and that team lost pretty hard.
  19. Scourge would need some serious firepower added to it if you remove the defensive aspect of yourself counting as a Shade again. Sounds good on paper maybe, but essentially you'd just be creating a condi version of Sic 'Em Soulbeast. Except people would complain more because it's condi.

  21. As cool as Lich is thematically and visually. I would much rather have Grim Specter + Summon Madness bundled into a new Elite on a 45-60s cooldown. Or Ripple of Horror on its own. With the current 15s cooldown. 🥵

They could probably try having it be actual boon stealing like Mesmer's Arcane Thievery since a large part of the problem is that you get a lot of mileage out of blindly spamming boon corruption and removal and converting some random dudes 0.5s remaining 1x Might stack into for example 3x Might for 10s.
  24. Oh that's what you meant. From the wording I thought you meant the amount of boons that boon corruption skills corrupt and I was very weirded out. Can't really reduce those further than they already have. But in regards to Feed from Corruption. There's not a lot of incentive to take the other traits. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to give the traits a bit of a rework. The only Scourge traits that feel good are the middle ones.
  25. ??? Balance discussion completely notwithstanding, I feel obligated to point out that the majority of boon corrupts are already 1 boon per corrupt.
