Even with power coefficient, the fact that it increases its damage 5x makes it do more burst damage. Disenchanter does more overall DPS. Hence why I stated Defender does more BURST damage. Which it does. A fully stacked explosion from Defender does more damage than a shot from a Disenchanter. Disenchanter wins in overall DPS because of its shorter CD (So long as enemies don't have Boons which cripple its damage) but for kicking out the most damage in a single cast, Defender does more.My man, I run from PvE like it's the plague and I can still tell you Disenchanter lands more DPS overall.

This dude speaks the truth, Disechanter lands more dmg period, you gotta remember it bounces! Realistically both suck, one just sucks more than the other.

This is literally what I was thinking post patch. It's sad but I do more dmg with condi burst now, than I ever did with Hybrid. It's all part of CMC's plan to excrete on Hybrid builds.Might be just me, but Hybrid builds added another level of complexity to the game, then CMC happened and suddenly we're all obsolete.Am I alone in me wanting the old status quo, as power crept as it was? Totally feel like low rank puts a target on one's back sometimes. So many "roamers" go out of their way to chase you down and dismount you even when you're trying to run. All so they can win an unfair fight. Also, is "shivering" emote over your body a new form of bm? And how do people even whisper enemies in WvW? Sorry, I'm pretty new to the mode. As a general rule I won't touch anything less than Bronze, unless they're preventing me from capturing or defending an objective, or they decided to +X in an already outnumbered fight. In that case, yea I'll find you and yea I might not give you a fair fight either, you gave up that right the moment you +Xed.No clue about the shivering emote, but there was never a strict guide on how to BM in emotes. Well-under-Bronze pleb here. Still get deliberately chased and murdered by roamers all the time. Just yesterday, I approached a camp hoping to pick off a few NPCs for the daily. A Diamond roamer was idling there. I stopped dead in my tracks, paused a second, and turned tail. But before I could gain enough distance, they dismounted me and my fate was sealed. How more obvious could it be that I didn't want to fight? This sort of thing happens far too often. It's like the decline of roaming makes remaining roamers hungry for anything that happens by. I've yet to experience any dignified roamers who leave low ranks alone (unless there's a reason not to), or at least forgo stomps so the lowbie can continue on their way without having to WP and travel again. Wish more people exercised some decency. :(I was speaking from my personal perspective. I by no means, can speak for others and their motivation. That being said, rank matters very little in WvW. Usually just helps you identify zerglings easier. Higher ranks means they spent time with the Zerg. I’ve not run with a zerg for more than a day total in 8 years, hence why I’m stuck in upper Silver. You wouldn’t believe how much less of a fight Mithril+ ranked players put on average compared to some bronze/silver/gold players out there. You should’ve went balls deep on them and duke it out. It’s the same conundrum as with the old Legend titles in PvP. Everyone had one so they got diluted and now we have the new ones instead.

Or you can swap to the most boring build in the game and 1vX like in the good old days. Seems to be what ANet had in mind with Mirage, so who are we go argue.

There arent really any power builds that can do that. Not even Power Rev. On the other hand, Condi thief, condi mirage (if protected) and burn guard can do that with ease. power rev, power mirage, power core mesmer, power ranger,holo, core power guard/dh traps can burst people for 75% hp in a blink of an eye, and thats just off the top of my head.condi builds cant do that other then some niche or specific cases like burn buard or mass confusion from condi mesmer into you hurting yourself with confusion. People still die to DH traps? people still dont use cleanse? There’s not enough cleanse in the game for the cancer that everyone plays. I have 1 condi cleanse every 30s and im doing guchi Im gonna doubt that, because that gets messed up real bad by condi theif, or even condi engineer. im used to getting kitten by thief, see no difference in condi thief now and old power thief, just a matter of perspective Well, that still leaves every other condi build. Even Condi Engineer which isnt exactly ... good. I have seen only 1 good condi engi, I think we are safe My point wasnt that Condi Engineer is some kind of omni-present menace. More that with 1 condi clear, every single condi build should obliterate you. they do, evade and avoid So your solution is to ... avoid ever fighting them? For one, that doesnt really solve the issue, but more importantly, what do you do when their sidenoder and their teamfighters both run condi? Sure as soon as they give us back our dodge, they can delete the damn signet for all I care. Truth to the matter is that no1 was slotting SoI before the 1 endurance bar change. It's only slotted to offset the braindead lazy nerf that ANet went with, due to their inability to properly balance Mesmer and not for lack of trying on the Mesmer community.
