If GS wasn't so slow it would be good, the saving grace before was it dealt a lot of damage but now it is baselined and the cast time doesn't make sense on gravedigger, they removed the gs trait and the new trait that they gave was nerfed next patch, grasping darkness is still buggy after the fixes, Nightfall is terrible as a defensive ability it is on the list of hope it hits if they sit in it long enough. There is too many ifs and buts in greatsword, compared to other classes.Maybe some cast time fixes and range increases on gravedigger and Death Spiral, wish Nightfall had quicker tick rate on blinds at least or it blinds you when entering anything really at this point.

The biggest issue for conditions that they come in multiples from unknown sources and passives and getting tagged a little gets you cced by lets say cripple and after that it keeps rolling.There is not really dodge this move away from that like power, you get hit by maul you get a lot of damage you are careful around it, someone drops pulsing circle of conditions on your head you barely move away with the cc on you but they guy is standing there plinking you from range with other conditions.Conditions end up in the "you have to dodge everything" place or be at huge range so they can't tag you.There is also no punish for spamming conditions, the transfer condition abilities return them by taking the condition stat of the afflicted and not the spammer so returning them doesn't really punish them, so if you wana counter conditions with that you have to be condition damage dealer yourself.There is not much repercussion for spamming condi abilities.

Oh yeah, renewed focus is so Bad Kappa you spend 3 seconds losing nodes, no pressure on enemy, 3 seconds they will get several skills off cooldown.In a zerk burst/damage meta yes, in a bunker meta wasting 3 seconds is useful as spitting in a pond. It's objectively the strongest guardian elite. It's objectively the strongest defensive elite in the game.It resets the f skills , kinda meh for core resets 3 kinda meh abilities , good for DH since 3 strong abilities, and broken for firebrand since it resets 3 tomes of 15 abilities with multiple charges.Many classes just end up with the least useless skill in this slot, even if it terrible.
  4. What about a chance to harm yourself when shooting at your feet, you know like Rocket jumps where you shoot rocket launcher in your feet to make huge jump but also take damage.
  5. Firebrand is the problem. It will just become one of the other overly strong combinations with Firebrand from a different profession. Firebrand is the problem and needs heavy nerfs, that is why it is always included in the OP combination territory. The others have rotated.Firebrand enables cancer, it was also pressured by power but not so much these days.
  6. The real question is what combination of classes break the game, since by itself core necro is pretty dumb one trick build, but when combined with Firebrand shit hits the fan. We are back to last year situation where we don't have teamfight comp that can beat FB necro, before it was support FB Scourge, now it is tanky symbolbrand and core condi necro. Core necro on itself scales with itself so having 2 of the same is good, same issue as FB having 2 is better. Necro also enables other condition classes by having allot of cover cc conditions, by itself it does not deal that much damage, but in combinations it overloads everything.So we kinda need more options for teamfight classes.
  7. not saying its a problem just stating that power is more dominantrev, war, guard, engi, thief, ele, ranger are power dominantonly nec and mes are condiAre we playing the same game.Guards has several variations of condi, usually it is FB with burns but it can be core or DH with burns.Condi rev is the better then the power this meta and there is renegade cancer going on.Burn Weaver has been meta for several seasons now.Ranger has that condi trap set up also.Actually If you combine any condi build with necro it just works .
  8. revs have as much mobility as thief. So why arent they getting their damaged reduced then?I wish but the bursty boy isn't as mobile it sticks to you like glue but when it fucks up it can't fuck off, usually they are kinda stuck in the fight and they can't zippity zap around the map to get the caps.

The more you talk with thieves or mesmers..the more you realize how much they are affected by a god complex, it's like they're out of touch with reality..they're asking for a build that snip-snap around the map at will, engage/disengage equally at will and ofc be able to 1v1 and win against anybody.....really no. i'm asking to do damage. With every comment i'm bringing yall legit points. You guys are bringing opinions. I want a build that doesn't feel like tickles to a clown. Instead I do 500 damage an autoattack or 5k a Backstab. All while being the easiest profession to kill. I'm not asking for more than other professions. But the build you play kinda tells something about you as a person, and when you think about it thief and mesmer by design have unfair advantage.It also correlates usually to that the chat raggers in pvp are thieves, mesmers or the FOTM. And what unfair advantage do thieves have?Mobility, stealth, instant teleport attacks and more dodges then everyone else, and the ability to disengage whenever, most of the attacks are not well telegraphed or telegraphed at all and when they are they can be covered with range or stealth. If thief has has damage it dictates that there wouldn't not be any other glassier builds same issue that scourge had where you couldn't play any other teamfight builds. If thief can 1v1 kill people and run fast around the map it forces everyone to build just for that one person reducing the viable builds in the game. No one likes to play the tune of one person.

  11. You get less of those players, so matches become more determined by skill rather than luck. It's very frustrating to dominate in gold 2 and still lose matches because 3 of your teammates chased a spb around for 8 minutes or dueled on a capped node for 10 minutes at far. This really couldn't be further from the truth.I kinda get the normalish games around g3 p1 and around the end of p1 and beginning of p2 stuff gets kinda fucky with meta gaming and random ego rage afks, the chat gets colorful by the rage afk. To me when i get higher most of the games get really crap because of that, even though i get that one that is like pure awesomeness even if you lose, the true GG.

  15. This is really funny cause every thief main is being melodramatic, OU NOWS, thief can't oneshot people anymore like the last fucking patch and get all points. It is not even benched like most professions when they get the nerf bat, it is still meta. It is not like the previous season thieves were forcing people deeper in the bunker role since you couldn't catch up to them and they did hyper damage, thieves had their fun but now "ou my the turntables", everyone is on some type of bunker build, it is not like it wasn't expected.Thief meta just sucks for everyone else.I don't see much whining from warriors since they are kinda meh this patch, not bad, not good but still kinda there doing their thing , but then again rolling core necro or fb would probably be better.Calm your mammaries the current bunker builds would get a shave and thief will be able to stab them to death again, it is not like there aren't viable builds for thief.
  16. Maybe next elite speck will be 1v1 duelist with one weapon slot, so it would have to be less mobile but have better damage. Maybe a GS would fit.But till then being mobile and doing crap ton of damage doesn't fit.
  17. Would be good if you din't lose 10 to 15 or more points of rating vs duo top 250, maybe -3 points you got gamed by the system and lost at the matchmaker here is a little slap on the wrist.

I think there is an issue where like some mentioned getting high up nets you + 3, +5 points and -20, -30 for one game, that is the main issue why people play the system there and it adds outside factors like smurfing to drop the rating of other people, playing games in off hours, being a duo of two top players vs low levels, dodging each other when people play. People are not playing the game, they are playing the system and many lower tier end up in the crossfire. People game the game cause they can't keep their rating because of outside factors.When reaching a threshold lets say p2, you gain small amount of rating and lose small amount of rating. Maybe it will reduce volatility and people will stop playing the system and start playing the game.

  20. They shouldn't have added shield block to GS and you know it. It removed the other weapons from the pool since why would you pick Sword/dagger for defense when you have gs doing it better.It should have stayed like before, counter attack, they hit you they get a wack in the head, it should have been aoe around you so it doesn't miss if someone tagged you on the back and that is it.

Karma when these guys are in the opposing team the next game and you can farm them over and over again until they ragequit.From most of my games the large majority the one kitten and moaning in chat is usually a thief (the others are the FOTM and of course the magic thief mesmer).I think it is a weird psychological thing related to the type of person that would pick a thief. Having the ability to not die and reset when they chose over time screws with their head, the ability to perceive their situation is kinda clouded in ego.I recommend thief mains to play the other classes and builds (especially something like Reaper which is the total opposite of thief), maybe they will get some timing for how long classes hold out in 1v1 and 1v2 when to help when to go somewhere else. A lot to unpack here, so I'm not even going to bother.Passive aggressiveness i recommend 30 games of Berserker or Reaper.
