I was thinking about something like a Strike mission or the Dragon bash arena but in SAB stile where you start with a stick and after every boss you get to chose some ability or item or a buff out of 3, so you make a build that is more supportive or more damage dealing or can crowd control better, and that build helps your team to reach to higher tiers of the SAB arena. Something like the Dungeon run in Hearthstone.
  2. It is kinda getting really boring in pvp with the biggest slog meta in the last 3 years. Everyone is a tank that does power damage and condi damage and has disabling conditions and has several stuns and can heal for full hp why was that left in the game at all.Can we move to more single purpose builds like you make a teamfighter and you are good in teamfights since you scale more with more enemies around you but the moment you are sat in a duel you get beat up or you make a roamer that runs around really fast but can't really win a fight alone or you make someone ranged damage dealer but has the weakness of being terrible in melee.Before the big patch there were a lot of different builds running around it was way too much hyper damage everywhere and a few big outliers(wonder why they didnt get squashed in the patch) but you had multiple builds to play around with, now you are stuck on a single lame tank build.And for fucks sake can we delete the pulsing damage circles that cover the whole point.

Isn't necro the slowest kitten in the bunch with least amount of cc prevention, that is the drawback for them 1 1/2 cast time 4k crit gravediggers man, for some reason i though being slow as kitten was the drawback to be able to hit really hard but it doesn't really work if the fastest class hits harder. There is no clear direction for the drawbacks on classes, there are some drawbacks that do kitten all like the soul beast having one pet or the overheat on holo.People don't like stealth cause it is badly implemented here, it doesn't work like in other games there is no fumble chance, there is no way to make turn the flow of battle around, there isn't much back and fourth.I'm quite certain that people went for the bunker condi cc meta that it is now just to don't get bothered by thief cheese, so we now get even dumber cheese. Yey now everyone is a flying brick spewing poisonous farts. If you want to hit and move like a thief on necro you need to trade your hp (11k base hp only), healing (5k healing only) and all your second/third/N-th hp bars from life force. You also give away any boon corruption, stability/cc immunity, give away defective boons. No minions, no battle transformations with different weapon skill set. Also you get a global CD on both of your weapon sets, so if you used all the skills on weapon set #1 you can't just change weapons and use weapon skills again.That would be the fair trade-off!It is already 5k hp you have to hit people to get life force , there is like 3 seconds of stab somewhere on reaper, minions are pointless , the weapons have cast time of 3/4 at minimum, corrupts got nerfed to one per skill use and it has like 8 seconds of prot if you stack all possible traits, Lich form basic attack hits hard i give you that but the rest is useless and it is a deathtrap and most probably life force generation will get shafted next patch and trow reaper to even more useless cause there is this lame condi core bunker build that could be exchanged to anything bunker which would do its job better in 5v5 and having big hp pool means fuck all if you have to face tank all the damage, not taking damage is still way better than getting hit.I'm all about deleting one of the two thief or necro but there are way more people playing necro cause it still has that risk reward gameplay, you know that feeling when you fucked up and died or you timed your slow ass gravedigger and whacked someone after their dodge and they dropped down. No one says you can't zap around the map and stealth up it just shouldn't be in the same build that shanks you twice and kills you.
  4. This condi cc bunker meta feels like a slog. For the longest time i havent felt this game that much of a slog getting ping ponged around with 6 conditions forced to take all the possible stun breaks and condi clears and in the end just die again to cc and condi burst. They over did it with the power nerfs. Hope they fix it fast and not make it a slog for the next few seasons.I enjoy the 2v2 but it kind of ended in the who can cheese the most game. Most of the condi applications are still bullshit there is no weight to most condi attacks so you got scraped by edge of the circle have 3 condies, get stunned use stun break, get stunned again ,stun break again, ping pong around, somehow survive, 6 condies on you and you are crippled burning and get downed anyway.Not being able to play your character is not fun. At the end of HOT before the nerfs for POF.

Burning works better then power damage now and classes that have multiple different conditions should not get burns to bury them under 6 or 7 other conditions also why is this still a thing seeing 6 different conditions at the same time. Make them exclude each other like cc does, cc conditions are way too strong in this game and when you get all of them at the same time it is worse than hard cc.
  7. There is the desync issues still for stealth where the damage hits you and then you see and hear the telegraph. This shitty bug is still in the game like the fucking full counter animation bug. Most of the PoF specks are bullshit that didnt get much thought for pvp mostly they went with the rule of cool over good design. Also is a fucking sniper that doesn't have one skill to aim DH fucking has 2 War fucking has 1 on LB, but the sniper class gets auto aim.
  8. You missed the dumb ress after ress after ress play in 2v2s it is also dumb in conquest but they kind of buffed it one patch for some dumb reason. Maybe they should put a bucket of skills and traits for 2v2 or in pvp as a whole.Edit: Forgot to add conditions are still bullshit and should not be in the game.

  10. someone was saying they were getting 13k vaults in pvp. thats def a meme build tho. you can get decent damage non meme (if zerker is somehow not meme anymore, idk). might have been using that power boost signet whatever its called.Most that i get are those hit and run ones from last season it just takes them 2 times to do it instead of 1 like before, i kinda thought the pistol whip and D/P memes would be over but somehow they didn't get much changes and more effective thief builds sprung up. And i think the oldy cheese condi build is back since the meta leans to condies again.

I honestly think this is the fact that people got used to beating necro with no worries for years and now that it has kinda the same defense like everyone else people are way too confused, also conditions are cancer and didnt get nerfed so you get truckload of them POF style while not having enough return pressure since you know conditions are CCs and the best class to spread them is necro. You know what is the most cheese thing you can do, play crono and moa them two times when they go into shroud, one could be even enough.

  14. You know thief is still borked like the last patch and mesmer can still spam conditions like before, guard is also the same like last patch, just everything else got the axe. Don't pretend that thief makes the game better without it it will be way better.
  15. Surviving for longer if there isn't something borked, can't kill weavers no more, can't cleave rez, get insta gibed again by thiefs, conditions still burn your ass off and do less damage. IGN 3/10 fail patch for reaper.Might be good patch for codi memes with minions saw multiple minions mansers with mesmers running around not fun.
  16. I find that like many classes thief lacks fumble mechanic,it can reset if it fails. Currently the only profession that has proper fumble mechanic is necromancer pop the shroud in the wrong time and that is it, everyone is gone you are sitting and wasting your resource or you can drop it and be without a shroud for 10 seconds, the other is warrior miss your burst skill, you wasted the adrenaline and have to gather it again it is less of a problem for spellbreaker though, guardian has the all in with ports, but cause of defensive cds it can somewhat recover if it goes in the wrong time. Mesmer has a resource but it hardly matters cause they can spew clones constantly and then port out, engi can become invulnerable and then go invisible, ranger was ok but now the GS is better then shield/weapon combo on warrior so they get to be strong in ranged and melee, rev fucks up goes staff and then kills you with sword while doing damage with dodge skill.All in all it is not only thief that lacks the fumble " i fucked up" moment but currently there isn't much you can do to win vs a thief cause they can just run away and comeback in a few seconds after they reset. Port in port out invisible,invisible 10k damage backstab, spin to win, don't get a kill run away reset repeat "FUN".Thief is disliked cause when it is meta it says how everyone should play, it reduces the possible builds for the game just like scourge when it was OP and mesmer was face roll, it is not fun to play on someone else's tune. As long as the design is on purpose unfair no one will like thief and people will want to just delete it.Hope the balance patch does something but i kind of doubt it cause most of the issues come from design not numbers, since some professions follow their starting idea form 2012 while others have been given all the covers for their weaknesses.
  17. 1) Its good for sneaking respawners, its good for sneaking sidenoders, its good for sneaking anybody.2) Stealth lasts much too long (talking bout thief here), thats why we want it to get nerfed. We dont want to delete stealth, but the duration has to get shaved hard to make it more fair.3) No class can spam blocks, but thief can spam stealth.4) If you dont miss the right moment, you can escape easily instead of being killed. Half of all classes cant escape at all because of being to slow.5) When I m fighting a thief on half way between our free close cap and fought over mid cap, I dont know where to run then. If I take the wrong choice, the match could be decided by this. In a case like this, stealth is effective just because of being in stealth.6) When theres a team opening a match in stealth while the other team hasnt got stealth, its mostly a free kill for the stealth team. Of course stealth is not a combat ability, but it gives you so much tactical advantages, that if I had the choice between block or stealth, I would immediately chose to have stealth. I can understand that you defend your class, but in my and many other players opinion, PvP would be much more fair balanced and enjoyable, when theres less stealth. I mean much less ! Its only good for sneaking on people if you dont need initiative to fight them (which is to say, soon not at all). Stealth only lasts long if the thief goes out of his way to deplete all his initiative for blast or leap finishers in black powder. Several classes can spam block or block-like abilities (not to mention evades), in fact moreso than thief can "spam stealth" (gotta wait for at least 15 seconds for the slowest stealth that lasts about, uh, 2 or 3 seconds?). Yes it can be used to run away, but you know what also can be used for that? Shortbow 5. Which is faster, costs less initiative and is much safer. Stealth still leaves you vulnerable to AoE or melee cleave, since the enemy knows your position right after you stealth, and can track you if sufficiently skilled. Plus why single out stealth for its ability to escape, Warrior is quite easily the best class for running away on flat ground, and they dont use stealth. I will say that the stealth on open thing is fair, but Im also not sure how you can fix that. Since yknow, thats a smoke field + finisher thing. I guess you could make blast finishers not grant stealth in smoke fields anymore. But at the same time, what would you replace it with? Blind? Given that smoke fields usually blind anyway, thats pretty redundant. Yeah thats something you only say if youre so accustomed to your blocking ability you really dont realise just how broken it is. If Thieves had the option to swap stealth for block, they would immediately take it and laugh as people realise just how much stronger block really is. There is a reason the most popular thief build over the last couple years was the one that couldnt stealth at all. Says everything, doesnt it? Besides, what are your suggestions for "nerfing stealth"? Edit: Actually, for that matter, how exactly is the thief stealthing up in-combat, with you not knowing where theyre going and unable to kill them? The only way any real thief build has to go into stealth is Black Powder + Heartseeker. Even at its fastest, thats 1.5 seconds you have time to just hit the thief, and you also know where theyre going (unless they then turn around, but theyre not going to be able to do much with the 2 seconds of stealth youre getting). This^ but ur assuming players of this game actually would attempt to learn to fight a opponent instead of thinking their carry build will do it for them and if not run to forums to complain. Few nights back a thief kept throwing insults at me calling me a bs hacker cuz hed drop black powder and I'd cleave him to death while I know hes jumping thru the field for stealth lol hed become visible in downstate and say "that's bs I was invisibile". The fact that u can be cleaved while stealth'd and the fact the smoke fields are visible give u a small area u know where the thief is, use it lol.I kno that's a lot to ask of this community lol how about this brilliant idea by a Thief Profession player who suggested today in chat, ''how about using a system that punishes Thieves whenever they stealth like self-inflicted conditions wounds, similar to Necromancer? I think that would be fair?' I believe the community would find that fair and would agree also to it Psycoprophet and Thief Profession players; your thoughts? They get pulsing cripple on them when they stealth, you being slow while sneaking and all that RP stuff that makes sense.Stealth was ok when there were passive defensive traits which acted as circuit breakers so you didn't get oneshot, they got nerfed but the reason they were implemented didn't, so we now get almost oneshoted from stealth "F.U.N". I can't wait for the big pvp balance patch when thief and mesmer find their new borked and unfair builds,like they always do.
  18. The original point still stands though. Beign able to teleport (for example) on a higher lever on Kyhlo mid, in a fight saves you, unless the enemy has teleport, too. Imo, if holo got more damage and mobility utility skills, instead of defensive ones, it wouldn't be a bunker/bruiser, but really a high risk-high reward +1er, like it was originally planned.What was it? Leap isnt teleport? Great. Jaunt is a leap.BEcause its has combo finisher leap doesnt mean its a LEAP skill like holo2/warrior's sw2/guardian gs3 and whatnot, hence why its can be used while stunned and without interruption actions and can give you a "no valid path". Thats a whole new level of bias here, to justify something stupid on your main you did comapre 2 skills from different categories but but... leap finisher... ! Even quadriple facepalm wont be enough...Gw2 forum never fail to amuse and prove that 99.9% people here are must not be heard, ever. It's quite easy to get you going. Yes, Jaunt doesn't have a leap animation, but the game still considers it a leap. :smile:Arc divider is not a whirl finisher even though you spin like a mad man Anet is really inconsistent on a lot of stuff.
