  1. Warclaw is from the mist. Its magic and stuff. No pads needed.
  2. Looks to be fan made. Jade winds from gw1 factions cinematic. I was hyped for a minute. Decent story telling. The Six did bring humans from another world, so it isn't far fetched that something like this "might have been." I did this in my series 9 years ago, making my own lore for pre human existence in tyria.
  3. What they need to do is remove warclaw. No warclaw, no warclaw issues.
  4. (.....Warrior bubble.......) You. How to counterplay bubble. Option 1 (.....Warrior bubble.......) You. (.....Warrior bubble.......) You.Warrior You. Option 2 Warrior channeling winds of [iNTERRUPT]
  5. I hate when i get into a 1v4 and 30 seconds later all 4 enemies that jumped me are now loot bags. fight never last long! Bring more enemies and maybe you can take me down!
  6. Currently Platinum. Havoc/roam from 2012-2015, 2015-2018 break from GW2. Back to wvw in 2019.
  7. I mean, if all it's skills were directly usuable as in pve, then no. But if you just replaced it's over skills with the wvw skills then ok. I'd love to run my shrine or spirit jackal skins instead as a skin instead of the warclaw.
  8. Good thing they throughouly tested this so that you can stack a whole set of boons between each set and then switch to your main set within seconds via hotkeys and then destroy. Makes wvw greatly balanced.
  9. Wvw and pvp need split between also. But this is a step in the right direction even though it took 7 years to take that step.
  10. At first I wanted to say the devs. But it's not the devs from keeping it great. It is the management and the monetization focus instead of content focus.
  11. Giving warrior access to barrier is not necessary. Not really sure why that came up as a suggestion. Other changes look ok.
  12. NPCs were never like a faction. They are nothing like the npc faction from AION. That was actually kind of fun and different. These NPCs in wvw are utterly useless. If they randomly raided and took camps towers or keeps then it would add a little bit more degree of difficulty to wvw and strategy, but it would also require defense and increasing the pop cap
  13. Back in 13 or 14 prior to eotm and desert borders, I was working on a new map connecting all the borders to eb. But I spilt water on it. Essentially it would be a large triangle or circle map but EB would be surrounded by impassible mountains while the borders encircled it. The Garrisons would be the main thruputs into eb from the borders but there would be smaller narrower pathways/valleys/mountain pass to go out of the way but still allow for bypassing the Garrisons to get to eb.
  14. Le'me fix this for you real quick. Remove mounts. All mount bugs and exploits are now solved. You are welcome.
  15. You do realize you're playing a game called Guild Wars 2, not I play alone but still want to play with specific people wars 2 right? You do know the lore behind the name, right? It’s not what you think. If you knew the lore, then you would know that the last guild war ended in in gw1 before the searing.
  16. If anything this shows that anet could have implemented cross classing like gw1 from the beginning. In gw1, there was a class specific trait for each primary class that couldn't be accessed on your secondary. So you would only get the skill and have no bonus from trait boost to that skill. Which would be fine again in gw2. They have the frame work for doing this with the specialization trait line. Either add a 4th "trait line" or a sub class trait icon that allows access to ONLY the skills and does not allow benefits like increase/decrease recharge times or increase charges or increase damage.

  20. DAoC RVR the precursor to WVW in GW2 (and all massive open world battle mmos) had no down state. It did have resurection spells for a dead player. GW1 had no down state and it also had resurection skills.
  21. Except it really doesn't relate to "skill" at all. It's pure burst mode. You play a burst class, you win, OR if you have great passive traits, you win. There's a reason no downstate week was all beserkers and pew pew soulbeasts. Build tanky they say. It doesn't help. I ran nothing but Beserker all week. Had a blast on my Beserker, but it wasn't skill. I run zerk armor since release and celestial accessories on my war since they implemented celestial. Nothing changed in my survivability. I was actually able to out last more 1v2 or 1v3 even 1v4s because I didn't have to worry about stopping a rally or steady 1v+1 back to back fights than with normal ds rules. I didn't have to change my play style to compensate for downstate. It was even more apparent with Zerg v Zerg battles because it did showcase which Commanders or guilds did better or worse with and without the rally bot effects.
  22. I missed the first few "no down state events". And I got to do the last one. Just remove downstate in wvw. Leave it in the other game modes. (Maybe remove it from pvp) . Best way of wvw ever. Made me feel like I was playing DAoC again. It was awesome. No down state really elevates the skill level needed to wvw because you don't have that oh if I die my team will get me back up and rally bot mentality.
  23. I'm against mounts. I could care less if they stay or they are removed. Player should absolutely be dismounted (not necessarily knocked down state) after being hit once or reduce hp of the mount to 100 maybe 200. It's fine for fast travel but immunity to CC and having to deal 10k to INITIATE a fight if you are roaming is insane in the current state.
