  1. Talk about "all talk no substance". Just because you think it's the best thing ever doesn't mean others will agree with you, and the fact that they disagree with you doesn't mean they are wrong or that you are right. "Do raids or quit" isn't exactly for everyone, especially with the dog eat dog mentality of the playerbase. Don't need to do raids? Yeah, but with the focus on it you'll miss out on a lot.
  2. And more importantly, i assume their statistics show that people go after/pay for those things. The why of it remains a mystery to me.
  3. By not being "very much above the ground", instead parking themselves squarely on top of other people. There is nothing accidental about that at all and they know exactly what they're doing. Well, at least you're honest on why you do it. Still, i'd tell you what i think of you and people like you, but...well, let's avoid that.
  4. Solution: make something legendary without ugly glow and over the top animations. Why didn't they think of that or do they believe nobody would do it if it's not yet another "light of a thousand suns" kind of thing?
  5. Considering how it's impossible that anyone could have avoided experiencing this, so they all know what they are doing, it is a wilful choice.
  6. Don't you think that's presumptuous? OP, don't be surprised if you're unimpressed by what "help" you receive if you ask for help in-game. After all, at best you'll be directed here. At worst, well...just use the wiki to avoid finding out.
  7. I don't know if you're aware, but adding some form of PvP, especially battle royale and open world ganking, is a really popular suggestion to these people regardless of the fact they have been proven to be less than popular niche activities. Also, considering they never suggest these things in the PvP section is suspicious. Now we just wait if the OP comes back mocking "casual" about this and that, and how people are shooting down a great suggestion that would single handedly save the game from an early grave and all that trite.
  8. This is a problem in any and every multiplayer game. Only solution is to use some ranged weapon, blast enemies from afar while avoiding engaging in actual combat, which is stupid. At least some other games let you turn off effects to limit the firework show. It makes one wonder why anet refuses to acknowledge it. It can't hurt sales that badly if people can't plaster their ugly bling on others with no way to say "no thanks". Well, i suppose you can ask them to hide it but that's an exercise in futility. Also, pointing out anything like this to people like this will probably just cause them to get exited and get up on your face specifically. You know, they say "notice me!" with all the glow, you pay attention to them in any way and they go bonkers. Better to stay silent? No, better to avoid the game entirely. It's a know fact that game companies will not do anything until it hurts their bottom line.
  9. Yes, a time when games were sold once and the experience was designed to be enjoyable/rewarding/fun instead of being designed to waste time until the next update to the cash shop. To be fair, not all games are like that, but "game as a service" games sure are.
  10. They're not trolling, they're just...really insistent about this. Since no moderator has any problems with these topics being remade or necroed (until perhaps it get reported to prove a point), i don't see the problem either way. Some people are going to complain about it regardless. Anyway, prepare for rebuttal.
  11. When people buy games in early access, which is to say that they pay the developers to test their unfinished product based on as of yet unfulfilled promises, none of this should be surprising.
  12. Yeah, at the end of your not so legendary journey, all you'll gain from it is legendary patience, determination and tenacity (and/or a legendary void in your wallet). Oh, and the legendary item i guess.
  13. If you decide to play a PvP game, i don't see why you'd expect to get any PvE regardless of PR talk. Resources are directed at the most beneficial thing no matter what and obviously the main attraction of the game is the most beneficial. Now that is the real question.
  14. Warframe forums is like, what, at least 8 years old? I guess you could say that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" but i'm not impressed.
  15. It's against the TOS...only if you are "AFK". Since pressing a button to (auto)attack the boss counts as being on the keyboard, the rules are garbage. Their purpose is to cover anets interests and nothing more. Removing (possibly) paying customers would be bad for anet. Simply put: the answer is nope, nothing will happen since it's not against the rules to be lazy and get rewarded for the effort of other players.
  16. From what i've read around game forums, any time someone says something would be more enjoyable/fun with limitations, they are unwilling to do it themselves and instead expect the developers to waste time changing things to suit their preference. Nothing is stopping them, they just choose not to.
  17. And by "other modes" it's easy to guess that you think PvP is the messiah that will save the game as soon as anet stops "wasting" time on the actually (more or less) successful mode that PvE is. That excludes raids since it's far from successful. You don't need to lack funding to milk your playerbase for money. In fact, milking the playerbase is the norm in free to play games. The story hasn't ever been anything special, but it just keeps getting worse. A downward spiral if you will. You need to specify what PvE changes have screw up PvP since changes thanks to raids screw over PvE just as much as anything else. PvP changes on the other hand always end badly for PvE players. Solution: Different scaling, balance and abilities between modes, and i truly mean it when i say "different".
  18. The main issue is that exploiting people increases sales. Nothing is going to happen until they decide to stop falling for it or until someone else makes laws that stops greedy game developers from doing it to protect the weak minded.
  19. Well, any time i've mentioned any action on my account in any way, it has been removed regardless of context or how explicit or subtle it was. So we can guess that someone needs to report it or something for anything to happen. I guess kissing anets backside gets you a free pass.
  20. Unless anet paid some popular streamers with lots of mindless followers to make videos overrating GW2 to high heavens, which would be easier with the PvP shenanigans, it would be a total waste to focus on it. "Support and love" won't make a PvP playerbase any less of a bunch of chucklemongers.
  21. I don't think it is a bug since it does that for all mounts. It doesn't pull you in, it just slows you to a crawl.
  22. I'd say the horrible Korean games are always relevant when speaking about pay to win. Which is, of course, not the case with GW2. Can't be pay to win if you can't pay to get an advantage. Still, to be honest, i couldn't care less about PvP, so who knows, but that's of no interest to me.
