    I think it lightly started with fractals.

    I played the first year of GW2 release and remember I always had to go as guard for support and heal. It was not yet as extensive and effectively designed as it is now. But everyone had a role in the team for which they needed certain classes.

    There are days when I curse the wvw. It limits fun when only meta is played because it is effective. In the long run, I lose the fun if there is no variety but strict meta, meta, meta.

    • Right clicking the wiggling chest on the screen border to get the reward immediately.
    • Right clicking the salvage tool to salvage in batch. (Yes, I clicked on every piece before :s)
    • Right clicking stacks of bags to open in batch. (I used a mouse macro before to spam double click)

    (As you see I had no concept in my head that a right click in a mmo is actually doing something xD)
    (But I knew about double click ^^)

    • Moving the mouse pointer to the icon of an recipe (instead of the text) to see whether you already own it or not. (I used gw2efficiency before)
    • Learning about personal marks (sth important in wvw zerging, made it so much easier to find and follow my commander in clusters of players)
    • You can draw a path on the minimap and your group sees that (don't ask me what key combo that needed, the time I got to know about that was a time I didn't play pve much anymore)
    • Flying the griffon you can use the flap key before its endurance bar is fully recharged
    • Combo fields and finishers were long a mystery to me. I read it in the skill description but like Gop I didn't go read or ask about it. I wanted to play, so I ignored it. But later it was a thing in wvw. (I still have to use the wiki to check what combinations causes what) (with EoD you finally get a tutorial in game for that 😉
    • I had no clue what the break bar is and how it works for a really long time. I just thought its a visual thing for champions and higher xD

  2. I wonder why they are releasing new maps at all. The player population certainly doesn't grow proportionally with the number of maps. So thinning out elsewhere is inevitable.

    Keeping this system going only makes it worse. They'd need to actually close maps/content.

    SotO came out too fast for me too.
    I wasn't bored at all and didn't feel the need for new content.
    Would be happy to see the bugs addressed that have been there for years and annoy me every day.

  4. I think it is okay.

    What I complain about is that the story is unfinished and that I don't like that my skyscale now jumps backward off a wall and that ley-lines kidnap my griffon. And Peitha gets really on my nerves. I already disable the dialogue slider in my audio settings when I log in my SotO char that's somewhere chapter 9. And I've been playing rev for 3 years! But this is just too much.

    I really like the Skywatch map. The first time I often picked the griffon over the skyscale. And the griffon can really spread its wings and just fly free.
    It is small with very different maps/isles 💗, Asura events amusing as ever. Meta is ok.

    Amnytas map is griffon fun as well but less fun in itself. Its structures always look the same and I did miss events because I didn't know how to get there (mostly some closed room).
    I don't like the meta. I don't like to get interrupted by it, ported away while I actually do something else

    Bro I hear you. I played for 3 years until someone told me that I can just spam-right-click those wiggling reward chests at the corner of the screen to immediately open them without its pop-up menu. (And wvw has A LOT of those, that even right-click-spam is a chore xD)

    And there are other examples too that I need to complain about in front of my guild or friends until they told me what's possible.

    Switching stats on ascended items is nice but costs the fitting inscription/insignia and 5 ectos (rest is cheap). So if you need to switch an entire armor set it may be costy depending on the insignia. Berserker, for example, is about 6g atm, each.

    Yeah I have that, everything maxed.

    I'm no fan of mount in leyline. I'd rather disable that feature. I can use a leyline by myself, without mount, just fine. If there was one that gets me up then I'd use it, but that wasn't the case. If I'd know before where that rift was, I would choose the griffon from the tower spot (you can reach every spot from there) but that was a t2 or t3 rift (while doing rift weekly with the guild) that needed to be found and opened first.

    Or a teleporter device that opens the map and you double click a spot or an event and there you are?

  8. Yeah, the bug is, that the system picked one task twice instead of having a check that this does not happen so each task is unique.

    The point of a 4th task for the daily isn't that you get more aa, but that you can choose something doable if one task is too hard or impossible.

    More aa is certainly a downside about it from Anet's point of view.

  9. You seem to think level 20 is high. But it's still low.

    What have you done to get to level 10? I explored the starter map a bit, did some hearts and events on the way.

    Yes you level really fast, def. faster than 10 years ago, but the stories have stops in its progress. So you'll be forced to level by other means than just through story. Exploring and doing events on the way until you hit the level to continue the story is enough.

    And you won't need crafting until you are max level and in need of armor beyond exotic anyway.
    Crafting gives exp too, so better avoid it before max level. Maximizing it is expensive too. And you'll probably need your gold for your max. level equipment.
    Avoid buffs that boost your exp.
    Avoid the adventure guide, that really pushes your levels.

    Take as many hps with you as you can find since the traits are more powerful than equipment on mid-level. Equip what you get from story rewards and heart vendors and drops.

    The last time I leveled by simply playing +story, it took me 30h in 9 days to complete it (lvl 80 +personal story done).

  10. I would also like to see a wider range of events "nearby".

    I like the SotO maps so far. Although I'm not a fan of vertical travel, it's been fun to explore Skywatch. I think the spots are fairly easy to access, unlike Tangled Depth.

    For rift hunting, this can be annoying. Because traveling up is slow. When a rift appears on a certain small island, it takes forever because only 3 mobs spawn at a time.

    I have, for years. Actually I even upgraded to Blish HUD. It has even better event tables and possibilities for event notifications.

    Doesn't change my reply though. A chatbot is simpler and also effective. Without to install something/run some third party tool or leave the game.

    Why would they lie about their 100 accounts?

    I doubt that they are bought.
    There was a time when you could get Heroic Edition keys for free from alienware-arena, for example. There were certainly other promotion sites as well. And some people started abusing these promotions to accumulate a lot of alts for their own benefit.

    If someone really bought a lot of complete editions in a legal way, I would thank him for supporting ANet so much.
