THIS THIS SO MUCH THIS! I am so sick and tired of people saying "well, just play staff or scepter, you got your range there". It is well known that Elementalist was one of the first designed professions for Guild Wars 2, and its ancient design is showing horribly. All the elite specs so far have been melee-oriented, and if one can't see that, then I'm (not) sorry to say this, but you don't play Elementalist enough. It's about kitten time we get a long-range option that fits into today's combat. Something along the Virtuoso spec'd be nice. It's a pretty fast, hard-hitting spec that changes how Mesmer is played; and it's ranged with great visual effects. They ought to bring that energy into designing something new for Elementalist. And need I to remind people that when presenting Catalyst, even Cal was like "for some reason we decided to give Elementalist a hammer". They knew.

Hiii everybody. So, as the title states, seeing as we'll be getting the allied player visual-effect filtering in the near future, I'd like to see Ele's VFX be bumped back up to before they were nerfed (or even make them more powerful). My Overload Air is missing its Storm factor to make it feel powerful. Also, Caro approves of this (guildie approved :3). For example, here are how some spells looked like when Tempest was first revealed, before the visual nerf:

Catalyst is the most disappointing thing I've had the misfortune of experiencing ever since I started playing a few months after launch. It is so uninspired, dull, and lackluster, that to say it left a sour taste in my mouth it's an understatement. And now, with no more elite specs to, AFTER 10 YEARS, give us a ranged elite specialization... it makes me not want to pick up the game anymore. At this point, I'm just waiting on the sidelines to see what they do with the "combat features" in the new paid living wo... expansion, otherwise I am so done with it. Catalyst ruined my overall enjoyment of the class, but I think it has more to do with the design decisions ANet has made for Elementalist and this particular elite specialization. I still love Staff to death and have been using it non-stop pretty much, but after so many years, it gets really stale. I'll also leave this video here from when they announced Catalyst:

Hi there. I've noticed today a bug with Mechanist: if a core utility skill is equipped, the Mech's skills also inherit the toolbelt skills associated with the utility skill equipped. This seems to happen only with core utility skills, as showcased in the video, and since Mechanist's supposed to not have access to the "core" toolbelt skills, I think this is a bug.

I'd love dual-focus with an emphasis on Arcane magic; if only to dual-wield Ipos.

I'd love to see a two-handed ranged weapon like longbow (or a main-hand focus), and something that focuses more on a mage-style gameplay and thematic. When I saw Firebrand for the first time, I kept thinking "why didn't they do the Scholarly theme for Elementalist, it would've fit perfectly". And I'd like to remind people that Guardians had these floating Tome Elites from a few years ago that I'd like to see Elementalist get (could tie in with a "dual attunement/duality" spec):

I tend to whoeheartedly agree with this. I just don't enjoy Elementalist for a long time now, and the other professions don't interest me at all; even after trying all of them several times. Truly a class identity crisis.

You keep asking for feedback but there's YEARS worth of feedback on the Elementalist forum, and nothing. Sad to see.

Please increase the hover level for the Binding of Ipos legendary. Apart from Asura, they are just too low. -
Since the latest gem store update, today, whenever I press O to open the gem store/trading post, the game crashes.

While having DirectX 11 enabled, the game crashes when playing the "No Refuge" instance from the Living World Season 2. It crashes at the very beginning, after talking to Marjory, when trying to plant the memory seed. As soon as you try to plant it, the game crashes. I know it is DX11's fault because after crashing 3 times, I disabled it and the game didn't crash anymore.
