  1. So basically kill of the last bit of dmg/build guards have? Theyve been over neef in everytbing else. So instead of trying to delete a class how about suguest buff on other parts before you call for nerfs see how things works? players start to cry about the dh, they nerf the dh into the ground, deleting one more viable class instead of buffing others!so, why devs nerf things instead of buffing? isnt that crazy? i watched few weeks ago some patch notes of different games, guess what: 96% OF THE PATCH NOTES WAS ABOUT CLASSES/HEROES GETTING BUFFED, 4% OF SMALL NERFS!I think the build diversity is lower than when the game started and you could see at a 5vs5 ranked game at least 6 different build, sorry but its the truth! Dude, you must be new to gw2.Buffing every class instead of nerfing 1 is what got us to what we got now. They used to just buff everything and the powercreep went out of controll, everybody just oneshotting each other. Thats the whole reason why they toned down everything and they sure as hell dont want to start the same thing over again. The OP is way right...and you are way wrong Is this the "healthy" game you're referring to? 4 Professions out of 9 being played in PvP? People really think that GW2 will last as long as WoW.......I was stating a literal fact of how they used to balance and what they are trying now. There is no right or wrong about that.I never said the game is in a healthy state.Thats the reason im not playing it anymore, and ive played since release. You totally missed my post.

  4. Tripping on stairs and breaking my neck, resulting in instant death. Asura summoning golems to open gates in mere seconds. Summoning ice bow as ele and decimate a zerg. Taking 20k dmg from meteorshower with 3.5k armor. Taking 17 dmg from meteorshower in dmg reduction meta. Also, i miss blasting waterfields as primary healing source and flaming ppl who threw a lightfield into it.
  5. Anet promised more frequent updates after the big one, they never came, i lost faith in them and their abillity to balance, so now im just waiting for other mmos to be released.

  8. Dont rly see the uniques of thes build. Because it doesnt use discipline?Has lots of cc, which deal no dmg, and no quick weaponswap to capitalize on cc'ed enemies.Is itself weak to cc
  9. Getting hit by more than 1 arc divider...Big oof, ppl like you are the reason warrior got nerfed so much that the class is no threat in higher level of play, because ppl know how to dodge. In low level you can stomp with any class.
  10. In what world has warrior ever been good against guardian, and hiw have recent changes favored warrior against guardian? I dont even rly play this game anymore, but still, please explain what advantage warrior has over guardian with its permablocks and blinds.
  11. The balance team cant change functionallity, they can only change numbers, so delete those passive traits they turned them up to 300s. Only the design team can change functionallity. They said it several times. Dont ask me why they dont work together, its a shame. The might on shield is only there to fuel might makes right, but since defense line was gutted in almost every way i wouldnt even use it in any gamemode. I lost all hope in the devs of anet, the "more frequent balance changes" they promised are a joke.

  16. I dont even want banners to be meta in wvw, they are way too passive and i see no world were banners, thematically, work in an active way... After all, banners are something ppl look at, nothing that you actively use for a fight, like wrapping and immobalizing your foe in it. Ps, giving warriors 3 or even 4 weapon sets in wvw/pvp would be bonkers, a balance nightmare and so much hate from all the other classes, with even more need for disciplines fast hands, because with 3 or 4 weapons you would absolutely need those 5s swaps... Pigeonholing at its best.

A few weeks ago i got so bored that i actually started gw2 again, played 2 games of pvp and felt bad for my team, because having a warrior, while the other team doesnt just is like a 4v5 for them.I took a look at godsofpvp (which generally gives a good idea about what kinda build is good) and even they said that warrior is basically unplayable. I believe teapots tournament didnt see a single warrior? Alt+f4 after that and only came back to play through the living world thing in like 2 hours and log back out again... Oh and to take a look at 8th birthday gift (which was underwhelming to say the least)

  19. Because there was 0 reason for this change. It didn't affect availability of ascended gear via WvW given the Triumphant armor. It didn't affect availability of legendary gear via WvW, given the normal Triumphant armor already functioned as a precursor and is even easier to acquire then the Mistforged one. On top of all actually pitting both sets against each other for no reason. This literally does only 1 thing: devalue the higher set armor by reducing its rarity. Now we could argue about rarity and how and if it should be valued, but a simple fact is: rarity does matter, evident in the absurd amounts some spend on infusions and similar items. If this was about getting players into WvW, then a proper approach of ADDING intermediary goals and adding more WvW unique items would have been far better. Not reducing the time spent in gaining the rewards of the mode. This implementation just makes it seem as though who ever was in charge didn't even know there was already ascended gear with all the functionality of the Mistforged Triumphent set available, bar the unique visual appearance. well said, i totally agree, but why even question anets decisions anymore, ive lost all faith in them after they done nothing after their big balance patch, im just disappointed with how they are treating this once great game, so much wasted potential, its a pity

  22. And here you see a pve player trying to sell wvw/pvp players garbage weapons. (hint: in pve they dont suck as much as in pvp/wvw and in pve you look for other things in a skill) On a sidenote, last time i checked you had better dps with mainhand autohit chain without using its burst, which says alot about the state of burst skills. And what other things should I look for in a skill? and don't say DPS lolHard CC is a very useful mechanic in PvE, and combat mobility through leaps etc is also useful when you want to cut through tons of trash mobs like a blender. Thats why i said sidenote, that was a pve fact.In open world you can play whatever you want, but in raids you sure as hell want to max out dps. Sorry, but thats how it is. (i know breakbars and healers exist btw, but generally speaking dps is where its at in pve) I would argue you're merging PvE and Raids together too much there.I agree with you on the DPS raids thing, in fact that's one reason why I don't raid and why I don't like the raid community's absolutist attitude towards raiding.You have to play this way, you have to use this build etc.. Nah, I don't and it's not essential to succeed either.I want to have fun in raids but most people just want to win as fast as possible.. so I and many, many others just don't bother playing there. They can have their game mode and make their demands that everyone cater to their way of playing it and deal with the consequences of a low population because of all the players they've excluded from it.It's not my problem if that happens and if raids die off which from what I see and read is apparently happening then that's ultimately their fault, nobody elses. It does, but Evis is a leap/finisher and it can trigger other traits so it's not entirely useless.Axe Auto is melee as well so it has short range, if an enemy gets away from you or you swap to a target that is out of your auto's Range Evis can be used to close that gap quicker than running and without needing to weapon swap or use a utility to do the same thing. I do use Greatsword on some builds as I mentioned in other posts.I said it was one of the weaker F1's in terms of damage which is true in single 1v1 combat against both players and NPC'sI also said it was far better against groups since it can hit multiple targets which again is technically true. But you're not wrong, I make my own builds rather than follow the Meta's like many people do. My first comment regarding the raids will probably show that I don't like being told there is only X number of ways to play this game and be successful..I find that kind of mindset to be very narrow minded and untrue.There's more to this game than getting the biggest numbers when you hit stuff, i've always believed that and I think i've made enough decent PvE builds over the years to prove it to myself. I don't use Sword outside of PvE so I have no comment on that.But I have seen competitive builds that use it in combination with OHDagger and D4, S3 can be a pretty nasty quick damage combo. Seems you're arguing almost entirely from a PvP/WvW standpoint which is fine and makes your points better to understand.Though my posts have been coming from a PvE stance more than anything. Things work differently in PvP and of course players are far smarter than NPC's.. i'm very much pro skill splitting between PvE and competitive modes to make up for these differences and I agree that a lot of skills across a lot of classes vary in use drastically between these modes.Personally i'd rather have all skills be useful in all modes and balanced accordingly for those different modes.Even if that means they function quite differently in each game mode, this would not bother me at all. I don't care for or like the idea that X weapon is a PvP weapon and Y weapon is a PvE one.. They should all be viable everywhere in Gw2, same goes for utilities and traits too. I know that you are arguing from a pve standpoint, that was my whole first post, that you as a pve player were trying to sell those weapons to pvp/wvw players. That's not true.This isn't a PvP/WvW thread, it's a general Warrior Thread.. so it includes PvE.I even used PvE skill numbers in my original post not PvP/WvW. Raids are a very, very small part of PvE that appeal to a very very very small minority of players.They do not dictate build viability to the entire game mode nor should they be the be all/end all focus for build crafting in PvE. My point was only ever about the numbers, and strickly from a PvE view so that's all irrelevant to what I was saying tbh.OP never specified a preferred game mode and as I said above they posted this in the general Warrior section not the Competitive threads.. so having a PvE take was valid to the discussion.These weapons are decent in PvE and the F1's are hardly garbage there.That's all I was pointing out in my original comment. You're not alone, I've seen a number of PvP Warriors express their distaste for it.I've never used it there but I have used it in PvE and I quite like it personally, though I mostly use it for Sun and Moon Style to get some extra sustain from crit heals.Another thing that's pretty poor in PvP modes but I've found to be quite useful in PvE specially when combined with Might Makes Right, Really good sustain potential.I know that this post is generally for all modes, but in my experience most if the ppl that posted in this thread are most of the time arguing from a pvp/wvw standpoint. Atleast what i have seen from them in these forums. After a while you start to recognize the names and what standpoint they usually take ;p So you were trying to sell pve points to wvw/pvp players, you just didnt know, no offense here.And i was mostly joking in my very first post, not trying to attack you.
  23. You sound like you never actually read any patchnotes, each gamemode has its own balancing, in pve almost every skill has other numbers than pvp or wvw. And why would you even upset about that? did some changes made the big bad computer controlled enemies go boom in 3 sec, instead of the 1sec from before?If anything nerfes to pve would actually make it challenging again
