  1. thats for letting me know. its not too hard for me to get ecto-. i got around 100~150 by just parking my other characters on treasure box per week. plus i got token left from dungeon. that could be another way to get ecto :) Yes, as the dungeon weapons are exotics I believe and you would also get skin unlocks as well. Sorry just one more question. if i salvage ectos ,what kit should i use? is Master's Salvage Kit got better chance to get more dust or just Crude Salvage Kit can do the job. Thanks I don't believe the kit quality has any effect on how much dust get salvaged from an ecto, but I could be wrong. Wiki lists 1-5 dust per ecto salvaged, so to test you could always pick up a cheap kit and salvage a fee ectos to see how it compares to those numbers. No sense using a higher-grade salvage kit if it isn't going to effect what you get from salvaging. The wiki has salvage data linked. The Luck gained is unaffected by kit, but the dust gain is. Master's/Mystic etc generates an average of 1.8 dust per ecto. If you have a surplus of Black Lion Salvage Kits (I get them faster than I get gear with upgrades worth it) they give an average of 2 dust per ecto.
  2. It sure does ... As long as it's not completely unattended, multiboxing is allowedThe thing is that the specific multiboxing described here looks like the "one command sent to several accounts" kind, which is not allowed. However, the description is very vague and could also refer to completely allowed multiboxing.
  3. but are you actually? Having played the game for a long time is not the same as knowing all the mechanics involved. Treks don't have much but races have a bit and bounties can have pretty significant mechanics but not the easy ones. I guess I am a little annoyed, not so much at the design of the missions but rather how hard it is to pull a team together, only to fail due to mission time constraints. In general, it's hard for smaller guilds to scrape a team together. I think the incentives are fine for the record I just wish there was more of a hadicap for inexperienced or new guilds. I'll admit I haven't sat down and read the wiki regarding guild mission tactics; something I'll be sure to do in the future. Today we ran out of time on the 3-target bounty with a team of 6. The karka race was pretty soul crushing too; my guild has informed me they won't be doing races again in the future. The key for the multi-target bounties is to not just send scouts looking for all targets right away, but preferably fight more than one bounty at a time too. Always call out in map chat that you're starting the fight - people usually come to help.
  4. Tbh the Gw1 minions looked much better.I'd much rather have their Gw1 skins I do have to say, though, given how annoying devourers were in GW1, having an undead one as a minion in GW2 is oddly satisfying. We at least had the Bone Fiend in GW1 for that whipping twin-tailed action, though they were bipedal. It was hard to keep more than 2-3 up with the 25 energy cost, but man did I like those! ;)
  5. That's a great suggestion and a sweet skin. Unfortunately I don't really play enough gw2 to acquire anything through fractal drops lol I pretty much just do a match or two of conquest before playing something else. I'll definitely keep a eye out tho for either skin on the TP :) It drops all over Kryta, and is on TP for 3-4 silver.
  6. Logout is only available on the character select screen. I'm talking about being able to one click update/restart the game, even if you're in character. Add it as part of a confirmation dialog, because I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally exited the game because I clicked the exit to desktop when I meant to click character select. There is definitely the option to Log Out straight from the F12 prompt. One key press followed by one mouse click and you're out with the client restarting and patching.
  7. I have to disagree here. Once you close the UI, even accidentally by moving, it's gone. At least with the NPC you can reopen it again for 15 minutes. I'm with the others here - keep the NPCs but hide them from other players. So what? Talking about permanents here and suggesting they all should work like vault one does and that thing does not have a cooldown so simply just reopen if you close it by accident :) My problem with the vault methodology is that if you're using a consumable one and you accidentally close it, it's gone and you have to waste another consumable to re-open it. At least, that's my understanding - correct me if I'm wrong. I'd be very happy to know there's a way to reopen one you've consumed and closed by accident. They are only talking about the permanent versions. The non permanent versions would still function as they do now. Ah, thank you. That's what I was misunderstanding. I guess if you're using permanents then the vault concept could work. Specifically, this is because the one-use consumable services creates NPCs useable by everyone, while the permanent ones create NPCs that are only useable by the summoner. On top of that - there's nothing to indicate the difference! Moving the personal (permanent) ones to just opening the UI would mean that any spawned NPC is interactable for everyone.
  8. all we need now is to get rid of the giant blocks of text that ruin the game and it will be fun! If you mean the story/event/tracked achievements/dailies block that is hideable now. Logged out so don't remember the specific name of it, but it is definitely there. No i'm talking about the toolbox tips when you mouse over your abilities that block out half your screen.Ok! Being able to block those in combat would definitely be good! Some game I played (lotro maybe? Not sure) introduced an optional delay so it would take hovering over the skill for 2-3 seconds before any tooltip showed - helped immensly for skill-clickers!

  10. I mean, the first example we get of someone voluntarily fusing with a golem is in the original Personal Story, the very first chapter even - for Dynamics Asura.Along with various Oola-stuff, the concept is very much present since launch. That idea has then been brought back up and into focus with Blish. I'd go even a bit further than @Westenev.5289 and say that it's very likely this is their plan for her. Another Scruffy upgrade at some point that secretly prepares for her permanent transfer into it.
  11. When it means something becomes completely unavailable - yes. In this case, it was a promo for the coming raid, a temporary way to earn a raid "currency" outside raids.
  12. Petrified Wood in Ember Bay has the generic wood icon too. I would love unique icons for these!
  13. During LS4, I think around Ep3, they did make an infographic with stuff like total time spent on different mounts, mobs with best & worst kill/death ratio and stuff like that. It was pretty funny to see! Edit: found it! https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/celebrating-six-years-of-guild-wars-2/I would be fun to have an updated one, with some new stats!
  14. Not unless you have everything from Core too - there are 400 Hero Points to get in HoT, each spec need 250. Core offers approx 200, all from 1p challenges. Assuming no significant amount of surplus HP you'll have enough to finish one elite spec a little bit into Tangled Depths. Also, several challenges need masteries to get to without help.
  15. MasteriesFirst: keep in mind that each set of masteries (Core, HoT, PoF and now Icebrood Saga) gets XP and Mastery Points separately. So nothing you do in the jungle (HoT) affects your Mount (PoF) Masteries, and nothing in the desert will affect Gliding etc. The HoT masteries are much slower to get than the PoF ones, so set your expectations accordingly. It's good that you've stopped at rank 3 in mounts - get all four of Raptor, Springer, Skimmer amd Jackal to 3 before pushing any of them to 4. This will vastly improve your ability to get the landscape MPs. A lot of MPs come from other sources than what you see on the map! Many achievements give them, including story steps! If you're trying to rank up materies without doing the story, that's going to be very hard. Hero PointsThe hero challenges in the desert tend to be easier than in the jungle, but in the jungle people still organise HP trains, going through each map as a group getting all the HP together. Where you get them doesn't matter - you can spend them in whichever elite spec you want. Even those from Core maps work, though they alone won't be enough to unlock a full spec. Focus on finishing one and use that - and don't slot a spec where you can't get a full traitline! For the HoT specs, this means it has to be basically fully unlocked; for PoF specs you get a full line earlier, but it's still limited.
  16. wow i had Koda warmth, i still remember the cost its was 900g at time. Just a few posts further down two others confirm it does not come with Koda's Warmth.I'm guessing the person making the claim saw a chat link from someone who had already added the Enrichment to it.
  17. The cave in Bloodstone Fen is basically a huge pillar from the outside - I stumbled onto a way out while griffoning :D
  18. Head into Bjora, you get and spend a MP within the first instance, and it's not a long instance.
  19. Personally, I have weapons covered, but it's good info for anyone else that's looking!Note about the Shimmering & Tenebrous weapons: buy the Guild Weapon used in crafting with the crafter, not the character that will use it - they soulbind on aquire!
  20. Super thanks! I had completely forgotten Bladed was selectable, I thought it was fixed Berserker's! Yeah, trinkets I am planning Ascended from LS, and weapons are set, though thanks for that advice too!
  21. Hi! I've been looking around the wiki, but can't find a simple overview of where stat selectable exotic armor is available. I know WvW reward tracks etc, and I know there are many other sources, but can't recall them. I'm looking to outfit a new character with HoT stats and was thinking of maybe not having to craft it...
  22. Really? How do you know? It’s a guess based on them being a crafting ingredient for the armor craft professions. That's because they're components in 20-34 slot bags.
  23. It's actually really good to leave this type of thread up, since you updated with your solution! Someone else having that problem in the future can find it and get an idea of how to resolve it!
  24. Being unlimited is part of the deal, like Funerary Insences: Do a heart in Vabbi and buy 1 for 5 trade contracts, or buy as many as you want at 100 trade contracts in TotPK.
  25. That's happened once before! The Orrian Oyster node, IIRC, at first gave the Fire Orchid instead! That's how my partner got it for their home instance!
