  1. Dreamer was my first, followed by Exordium and Shining blade, but I mainly got them as a status symbol. Aurora, the fractal backpack, the seasons of dragons amulet and two legendary sigils (for changing between night, impact, air, etc) are my practical goals. So far I have the first two.
  2. I genuinely want to use the laugh emoji when a post makes me laugh, but I get the feeling it comes off as sarcastic. Kinda wish "confused" was the only community accepted mocking emote.
  3. Keep a mace/shield in your off weapon set, die/run from combat and swap weapons? Are grenade kits reflected? If so, maybe you could use the flamethrower?
  4. Gw2 didn't really help me overcome depression, but it did a great job putting it off!
  5. If you're dying a lot, first thing I would recommend is looking at how you apply damage (best defense against pocket raptors is to kill em all) and how you recover from damage. Some weapons/utility/traits are flat trash tier dumpsterfires, and simply swapping these out can make a world of difference. It might be a good idea to look up a fractal/raid build to learn how a class applies dps. You can supplement this knowledge by looking up open world builds, which tend to be more selfish.
  6. You actually have to complete the 'fallout' chapter on at least one character to get to Arborstone through the land route (which is why Teleport to Friend is my favourite option). Please don't treat me like I'm stupid. My problem isn't getting to arborstone, it's getting rando's there so I can start the daily strike ASAP.
  7. I don't disagree with you, I just come from a point of objective reality. I see players who can't access arborstone but want to strike... and I don't think playing the story magically makes them "worthy" to strike with me. Most of these strikes have one gimmick you'll die to once, go "huh, so that's how it works..." then never die again. And, quite frankly, HT is easy. If your pug group can get 6+ members through mordremoth phase I think it's a success. It's just getting through modremoth's groundpound that's the problem.
  8. I want anyone who joins my squad to experience the fun of strikes, idc about pre-requisites or experience because we'll win regardless. If getting them there is a logistical issue, I'd say that's more on Anet, because it isn't communicated to the player that strikes are post-story activities.
  9. These people have EoD, haven't made it to or completed the second map and think they're ready for big boy content. It isn't the way I'd play it, but I dont wanna gatekeep.
  10. I don't agree with a lot of this, but I do question the need for a second EotN (particularly one that is sandwiched between the second and third maps). I get so many people asking to join strike missions who don't have access to arborstone or a teleport to friend, and it makes me sad when people leave dejected and defeated because they can't get to the content. Adding Cantha strike access to EotN would be a big boon for me as a pug "for fun" commander, I think.
  11. I think of excess hero points as a leg up on the next expansion. It's kinda crazy how you can unlock specs within 30 seconds of logging in on launch day.
  12. It suits Mesmer just fine, in the same way Soulbeast suits ranger. It does away with the classes cumbersome clone mechanic that can be disadvantageous and frustrating in smaller fights against weaker enemies, something Mesmer desperately needed imo.
  13. For instanced content, look up condi virtuoso. Arguably the easiest and most effective dps class in the game.
  14. Idk, Condi Signet Virtuoso makes me feel more like the hulk in that video.
  15. I like the game being easier. It means I don't have to get angry at PUG's for being mispositioned and dealing no damage. Now I can sleep at night knowing tomorrows pug strike group will be mispositioned, but will manage to contribute acceptable damage/cc.
  16. Hairstyles, and more "basic" armours that look good as a set and mix and matched (kind of like the level up armours). Fashionwars is the true endgame. If we're being SUPER unrealistic, bring back race/class/backstory related edits in the script. Bring back charm/dignified/ferocious, have them measured, and have our characters and others react according to the totals (leading to ferocious characters having many "Commander! You can't say that!" moments)
  17. But why tho? I think Necro is probably the best hard res'er since they can teleport allies out of AOE. Scales well with inexpensive Magi or minstrel stats (benefits from healing power and vit), not sure what runes they use tho.
  18. They are bright, in that they chitter at ultrasonic frequencies to network information. I guess none of the skritt in the area knew the word.
  19. I kinda wish they'd add delays to the rock paper scissors emote so I could use it to settle disputes like this. It's hard to play seriously when it literally says your pick before both players throw.
  20. Because muscles are cool. It isn't just about the female gaze either, the fantasy of being shredded is awesome.
  21. It would be nice if hats had a default hairstyle. But , alternately, I also find it amusing that the human commander might be canonically bald and wears an assortment of black lion sponsored wigs.
  22. Some of the JP's appear as dailies. It could be a good idea to slow burn the achievs, so a friendly mesmer can help you out. I've also seen (and been) a mesmer who offered portals over the weekend. Maybe you could park a character at the JP you need and check on it throughout the day?
  23. I find it concerning how many people seem to want ranged to be bad cuz git gud. Given how damage is applied in pve (AoE, arena DoT, ground targeting, teleporting bosses) ranged is much MUCH more dangerous because of their lack of proximity to the group (they lack protective boons, group heals, and risk the group being unable to res them if downed).
