  1. I've only been half paying attention to warrior banners but I don't see why you can't just toss them like a javelin to reposition. I think the animation is already in the game. Could even give them a nice blast finisher. I'm usually not critical at of the devs but this time they just missed the mark in a number of ways.
  2. Thanks! That's a big deal for offhand dagger. Hmm need to see how this plays.
  3. Can you tell how much the initiative is generated by Shadow's Rejuvenation?
  4. It has swiftness on dodge. Then it give you lots of dodges by feeding you vigor. Does that not count?
  5. No, not with rifle. You can do it with pistol/dagger though.
  6. Well of Bounty should stealth the specter. This would give us some interesting options.
  7. Losing stealth on heal is manageable because we have a heal that does that but losing stealth on steal is kind of a big deal. It will make it hard for all range builds to get in and out of stealth with the exception of of deadeye because of one trait. Maybe they mean for us to use blinding powder and shadow refuge more but they need to look at the cooldown times of those skills with this change in mind. Perhaps change reveled from preventing stealth to reducing its duration. For example, if you use blinding powder (3 secs. stealth) but have 2 seconds of reveled on you stealth only last for a second. This will allow better use of the other changes to SA.
  8. This thread made me realize they took the one thing I hate about warrior and created an elite class around it. So anyway... I would get rid of all the skills that root you in place and stop working if you move an inch.
  9. @maxfeelswell.8370 Shortbow is better as condition damage and most effective at dealing with groups. I usually start a fight against a group with shortbow then switch to my other set as they start to drop. Warning though, shortbow is fun but it's a lot more work than other weapon sets.
  10. I don't know... could be a fun way to avoid damage. Can't hit me if I'm in someone else's body. Few changes I would make to the suggestion 1. I would use shadow shroud instead of tether 2. You're ally is in full control it there character. You are only hitching a ride. 3. You can only cast shadow shroud skills 4. Running out of shadow force or using dawn's repose returns you to normal
  11. Initiative. It's really hard to make other weapons work with specter because of the reduced initiative.
  12. Just wanted to add that the radius for Traversing Dusk and Shadestep should be increased to 360 to match with Shadow Savior. Anet don't you dare do it the other way around!
  13. That fact this skill was removed in 2015 and we are still taking about it shows how much it hurt.
  14. I want forced movement skills rewarded somehow in the acrobatics line. In shadow arts I want Shadows Embrace, Leeching Venoms, and Shadows Rejuvenation to trigger on revealed rather than relying on staying in stealth. Some easier way to target downed players Oh and I want the rez in Shadestep (Specter talent) to trigger Merciful Ambush (Shadow Arts) Bonus - Not specifically for thief. Anet needs to decide what to do with the color orange. They use orange to show that a skill is charging up. The problem is that they use the same color for friendly and enemy skills. It can be confusing.
  15. I've been running sinister gear with my scepter/dagger build. It's squishy so I took shadow arts. With the range stealth from siphon, the melee stealth from dagger 5, and the heal stealth it's fine. You actually end up generating barrier when you need it. Wells and thousand needles can deal with numbers. It's a fun build to play.
  16. I was confused by measured shot at first but if you are actively using wells then it makes sense. Wells take you close to the action (to close) and measured shot moves you away. You heal going in and out and do you don't have to use a dodge to get out of trouble. If you are ally targeting the shadow step trigger a heal which is nice.
  17. I think this is right. You really have to work hard for the BsW to do what other specs can do with half the effort. Another thing that might help, in addition to your suggestions, is repurposing Dragon Slash - Reach (3). We need a charge (ammo?) dump for when enemies don't end up were you want them. Maybe change it to Dragons Roar and buff yourself with super speed, stability, fury, resistance, and might. More charge means more duration. That way you don't have to loose everything to a dynamic battle field.
  18. I've been thinking a lot about scepter 2. What if it copies a condition you're suffering from to a enemy and copies a boon you have to an ally. At least then you would have a skillful way to play it. Right now it always seems to be the wrong skill to use. Doing almost anything else is better than using scepter 2.
  19. @JPUlisses.8756Do you think other folks will change classes to try out new elites? When I tried harbinger during beta it felt like the pistol thief of my dreams. The lack of defense didn't bother me at all because... well I main a thief, we are used to it. The damage output on the other hand was dreamy. Loved the shroud skills too.
  20. I'm actually looking forward to playing a catalyst after i burn out on specter. Like everyone else I noticed that hammer 3 was ... unsatisfactory. The only thing they have to do is make grand finale recast an orb based on the element you are in. They might have to play around with the duration/cooldows but the idea is you can have 2 of the same orb and that could release some of the pressure to weave.
  21. I've had more success with pistol than I've had with scepter but I'm making progress. Everything works better if you use dip into shroud regularly. I think we are trained to avoid damage at all cost but with shroud you should actually keep the pressure on rather than doing the dodging thing but I'm still learning. I will say I'm completely confused by scepter/dagger. I can't tell what the devs intended with that set.
  22. Also does siphon turn off auto attack for everyone? Is that intended?
  23. @Gigawatt.7850 I eventually moved to a sw/p rife build too. It's much more efficient but, for me, not as much fun. The main feature of both build is triggering be quick or be killed, thrill of the crime, and bountiful theft every time you down an enemy. Depending on what you want to do with the rest of your build you can add even the odds too. Pick off weak enemies first and keep rolling.
  24. What if warrior can no longer dual wield. Every single hand weapon mainhand now. Sword, axe, mace get new 4 and 5 skills. Shield and warhorn get new 1 - 3 skills. The new weapon is unarmed. You can equip auras if you are unarmed that act as stats and influence your unarmed abilities. Burst skills involve your empty off hand somehow. Not exactly sure what to do with two handed weapons. Maybe you can double down with the aura play on rifle, bow, hammer, and greatsword.
  25. I like the concept but I wouldn't use it for currency; that's how you get inflation. It might be interesting on consumables but flip it around so things are just better fresh. Like for food if you use it a few hours after you made it you get an extra kick. Maybe new crafted gear is "shiny" and has extra stats for a few weeks before returning back to normal. Something like that could motivate people to buy more things which ... unfortunately may lead to inflation but it would be more fun.
