  1. I have a thief and have tried both Specials... I have even explored the meta builds.... And what I found out was.... What some players are doing on a thief... IT"S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! I see thieves staying invisible for as long as they like; only appearing for like 3 seconds at a time in which they drop a high DPS strike. I've seen thieves teleport/shadow-step way more times than actually possible in the game, even if you're using the short bow's shadow-step ability. There was a Daredevil in WvW that was so bold, he ran into my sides fort where a lot of players where standing around. Every single time he got swarmed, he just vanished.... When I say vanished, I mean 20...30 seconds at a time and then he'll appear right in the middle of the group, jump up and down and when blows came his way again, he vanished again. Sometimes he would appear in the middle of use all and then do like five shadow-step type teleports and vanish. Here's the worst part about it.... He took basically zero damage! His health only dropped to like 75 percent one time, because he was able to shield like a Scourge and full heal like a Guardian. Daredevils do NOT have that kind of healing or long term immunity and I mean this Daredevil went immune to all damage for like 10 seconds at a time. I have a Daredevil and know that's not possible normally. So you tell me.... What the crap is going on in PvP/WvW? Who are we really going up against in PvP game modes? After seeing all the garbage I've seen, I refuse to believe these are just everyday players doing the impossible. You can't do what scripted game codes doesn't allow you to do! That's the reason I saw a thief kill 30+ players solo! Going invisible with no limit and appearing to deal insane splash damage! You know when you're going up against an actual normal person playing the game.... And you KNOW when you're going up against something that's completely impossible! From my experience.... There will be NORMAL thieves you'll have a better chance with but if you come across that questionable thief....who ever they really are.... You're going to lose that one on one battle 10 times out of 10, no matter what class you're playing. Nobody is so good to the point they can do things that are outside of the game's given ability for each class. You would have to be running on a developer's account for that. Normal thieves are beatable, because they don't stay hidden with unlimited duration. They usually just shadow-step away and run around before coming back. The garbage I'm seeing in GW2's WvW reminds me of that time when I saw a World of Warcraft Paladin (blood elf) wipe out two full health, high-level players, with one blow...and that's after he stood in place taking damage for about 10 seconds from both players. IMPOSSIBLE STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call it what ever you like but I know what it is.........
  2. Too much resistance.... Funny that's brought up because GW2's pvp has too much bullet-proofing, period! Classes that can just cast immunity and let you take your best shots and then cut you down are going to win 9 times out of ten. Everybody knows about meta builds.... You can only stack so much power, prec and vero.... With that being fact, there's an absolute max level of DPS anybody can achieve in pvp. So why is it, you have players that are doing 3x or more the max level of damage possible? I seen a player on a beta take out another player in 3 rapid hits that all occured in less than two seconds (the new shroud skill for Necro betas). Something is clearly fishy going on in pvp and I say it's those "arena-net" babies going rabbit hunting. The same thing happened in World of Warcraft. Man, players flipped their wig when they saw the video a "Dev" posted of his five year old wearing all raid god gear (instantly given to the account), in PvP blowing players away. The kid was too little to even know what he was doing. The little stinker was just slapping the key board and scream, "yaaaarrhhhhh!!!!!" as he owned everybody in PvP because he was on a jacked up character/account. Around that time, "WOW" started losing a lot of players. Serves that game right... Players are not giving you money to be your rabbit. Necro is about the only class I see in pvp not bullet-proofing much because shroud not only has a poor duration, it has no stability and non rooting nature, so all classes that can stop your movement, can take you out like nothing on a Neco condi. I say go with the power DPS berzerker Necro (reaper). That's your best chance... Do as much DPS as you can if you get a chance. If it's a ranger, sorry.... You have no chance. They can "tangle" you and drop 40k DPS in one rapid fire. If it's a thief, say your prayers because thiefs seem to stay invisible, walk through AOEs and drop godly DPS per hit. If it's a mesmer, you're probably going to lose too because the clone thing is too well done and mesmers are ranged OP DPS. Guardians... That will be an extremely hard battle because they have so much bullet-proofing and a full heal on top of a regular heal. We all know "Eles" are OP ranged DPS. I really don't see Warriors in WvW but then again, players say that class has been killed off by the "Devs." Looks like he "Devs" are gunning for Necro now. So the weakest class and hardest to survive on in PvP is condi Necro (Necro period). Man... Classes and abilities are a joke! There's a mark that necros drop that grants stability...forgot the name of it but here's the thing.... The stability is only for ONE SECOND!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! ONE FREAKING SECOND!!!!! AN ABILITY THAT HAS TO BE DROPPED AND STOOD IN INSTEAD OF INSTANT CAST ON THE MOVE!!!!!??? WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH ONE SECOND OF STABILITY!? The buff is over the moment you drop the mark and you're getting hit while you're trying to drop it!!!!!! That's what makes GW2 one of the worst mmorpgs ever made because a lot of the abilities that grant buffs do nothing because their boon time is too low! There's videos on Youtube right now featuring GW2 players raging over some of the horrible concepts the game has and a ton of Blogs/Message board posts on the same matter. Why is it a condi Necro can't stack up to 3k conditional? You allow 3k power jack ups.... Why not condition, "Devs?" I've said it before... GW2 has gone to the berzerkers. Can you imagine if all the bullet-proofing wasn't in the game.... Can you imagine if ranged players DPS was dropped really low, making them have to face you straight up at some point instead of getting easy wins in the distance.... Can you imagine if all the speed buffs were not there..... The vanishing and teleporting was cut to a minimum.... You would have ROYAL RUMBLE GOOD PVP!!!!!!! The way it's supposed to be! Haters are going to hate (me), Peace
  3. The whole game is jacked up when it comes to PvP. Nothing is balanced! As a condi Necro, we can't really break free from roots, stuns, traps, etc... If you look at Soul Reaping, you have to choice between "seed of shadow" or making your marks unblockable. WTH!? You couldn't just add what seed of shadows does to shroud? You have to make use choose between having one thing that might break a 10 second tangle and having marks that land? Every battle I don't win in WvW is do to the fact, I can't move as a Necro and when you can't move, you can't get close. All other classes know this and the first thing they do is stop your movement as a Necro. Then the "devs" wanna give other classes so much immunity, damage absorbing shields, full heals, super mobility, you name it, they got it! Ranged players don't even have to put up a fight... Nah.... A ranger can just hit you with a 40k rapid fire from across the map. That's not even PvP, it's PvR (player vs rabit). If you get hit with tangled, you're never going to move from that spot... The tangle is doing high damage and you're going to get hit with a 40+k rapid fire. Not even PvP! Same old broken ability class garbage that World of Warcraft had. Might as well call GW2, "WOW 2.0.) All of you that run Necro... SPEAK UP IN THE FORUMS!! You know what I'm talking about! This "sitting duck" Necro crap has to end! It's the only class that can't dodge anything and that makes no sense when you can just add immunity to all shrouds! You got other classes running around with immunity.... Why not the Necro!? It's to the point, that's all I see now in WvW... Immune, block, evade.... Those are the words that splash on the screen like 98% of combat time and all that bullet proofing is pure garbage but since you got the crap in, why not let the Necro in on the "be a God" party.... Just adding immunity to all shrouds would at least gave a Necro a chance but as it stands, you have no chance if you get rooted to the ground by some bullet proofing ability of another class. What's the point of using a Necro's grab ability? 99% of the time it will not grab because of the immunity of other classes and it doesn't do anything else so it's a waste in the action tray and a waste as an ability! That's how lame the classes are in GW2! It's like a 2 year old thought of every ability in the game! I've already seen OP ability with the beta classes too right now. It's like the "Devs" are just coming up with garbage without even trying to figure out how it will play out in PvP....rather it would be OP or not....they just add it. "Oh that's a cool idea, lets roll with that!" Brain Dead!!!!!!!
  4. The Necro class is so under-developed but yet the "Devs" are destroying the class. As a Necro, you have no real ability to break stuns, roots, etc.. For starters, Shroud should also have immunity to all stuns, roots, fears, etc because we really don't have any other good abilities that do this and given the limit of spots on the action bar, we don't need a new ability that does this, it just needs to be added to what we already have and Shroud would be a good place to start. The developers have done a poor job with PvP period. For instance, you allow a ranger to do 10k damage an arrow, you give them a rapid fire and you allow them to root someone for 8-10 seconds and the roots deal damage.... You're not even giving the target player a chance to fight back... You're allowing the ranger to be a bully by getting a kill with one root and one rapid fire. How in the "heck" is that balanced PvP!? I run a Necro condi roamer and I can tell you, we have no mobility. Once you're rooted, by a ranger...you're done! Those roots will not break easily and if you could break them, you just wasted your action bar abilities trying to get free but you won't because the rapid fire of 10k damage an arrow will finish you in less than 3 seconds. Absolute garbage class balance! It's brain dead to give range players of any class all that damage on range attacks. I've said it before in posts... Range attacks should be small DOTs like 100 damage a tick. You should force ranged players to come close, toe to toe and fight head up in order to do their biggest damage and that goes for all classes. Necros are build to fight toe to toe already. Mesmers, rangers, elementalist... All range damage needs to be reduced to small DOTs or you're allowing them to get wins in the distance without being touched. The other big problem is all the bullet proofing most classes do. Too much immunity to all damage, full heals, teleporting, auto evade while moving, you name it! Bullet proofing makes for bad PvP peroid! That's the reason why a group of players can move together in WvW and become an unstoppable Gyro/Blob. All the bullet proofing being concentrated as one unit.... WvW looks like garbage every time a group does that and it happens a lot! Another example would be the thief.... If you're going to allow them to stay hidden like that, why give them so much damage on attacks? Again, lame and brain dead. I watched a thief take out 30 or more solo because he could stay hidden, AOE attack and vanish again. He killed a whole army of players and only took a scratch of damage at best. Lower the damage on a thief greatly because they are hidden all the time and can strike and hide, or take away their ability to stay hidden for so long. You gotta balance things out instead of allowing them to be an untouchable God. Mesmers are pretty muchl like the thief because they make clones, that's as good as vanishing so it's the same problem with that class. But yet.... Players of other classes complained about the already weakest class in the game, the Necro..... Apparently they just wanted to own the Necro in PvP and the "Devs" bought into it and "nefed"/destroyed the Necro class further, instead of improving it with mobility and the ability to immune against all effects that stop actions. You do it with other classes, so why not the Necro? Fighting guardians in WvW is like fight God. They block everything, barely take a scratch and then they have a full instant heal ability. It's World of Warcraft broken classes balanced PvP all over again and I hope the same fall that took place to "WOW" eventually happens in GW2 because the "Devs" won't do the right things to fix it all! I bet the new class "Specs" are going to be jacked up as well but you can't worry about the beta stuff when you have to first fix the garbage that's killing PvP now and you can start by fixing the Necro class like they should be instead of "nerfing" what doesn't need and do something about all the enormous long range damage players are doing. I'm so tired of seeing rangers in WvW kill another player with one rapid fire shot! That's not even PvP, it's PvR (Player vs Rabbit). To be honest... Speed boosting in PvP is stupid. I would have never added such a thing as a developer because the objective of PvP is the fight, not to run around like a chicken in combat. You already have dodge, that's enough. The speed boosting just further adds to the whole bullet proofing mess. Here's the thing tho..... OP classes love the way things are.... Which is to be expected and that's what the "Devs" have to stop doing, giving in the those players who wanna just stay OP and fix the freaking game!
  5. The developers do not know what they're doing. Rangers are doing 10K damage an arrow and they got rapid fire. Why in all stupidity would you give them a tangle that roots a player for 10 seconds and does high damage? You just made it impossible for a player to ever kill a ranger! This is fact, because every time I get hit with rapid fire on my Necro, I only have a shred of health left from just that one shot and my Necro is high vit and toughness. You have no chance even if you don't get rooted because of the high ranged DPS....and don't forget the pet! I said it before and I'll say it again.... It makes zero sense to allow range players to do that kind of DPS from a far! They should only be doing small DOTs from distance! You have to force them to come up at close range and put up a fight! Rangers even have a pet that will go get'um.... Why 10 second tangles and super high ranged attacks!? Absolute garbage to get killed by a ranger in one rapid shot and the "Devs" have the nerve to be "nerfing" the Necro (condi) !? This is the kind of unbalance that make players give up on a game and the reason why a game isn't more popular like it should be! I never hear anyone talking about GW2 when it comes to mmorpgs and rightfully so! As it currently stands, there's no point in fighting a ranger, just run! They are completely OP'ed! Probably even more so than the thief! All this "bullet proofing" and super high DPS range attacks is what makes PvP/WvW garbage! It's not PvP if one player can never even get close enough to scratch the other player! It doesn't even take rocket science to fix it.... Completely brain dead development/logic! No point in sinking anymore money in this game!
  6. LOL!!!!! Nothing is OP about a condi Necro. Worst DPS class of them all! The problem is all the "pullet proofing" other classes do. I so sick of players running around immune to all damage for 60 seconds... Or "blockblockblockblok" "evadeevadeevadeevade" Hell, they evade even while just running now, no actual dodge evade needed. PvP/WvW is lame and the "Devs" made it that way. You don't even have good old toe to toe, face to face combat now because you'll lose to every class or cheating player that "bullet proofs" against all your attacks while somehow dropping 10K+ damage a pop. You can only stack so much power so how the heck are they doing so much damage per hit..... Garbage!
  7. Skirmish claim tickets don't drop enough and all the time, that's the big problem. I've gone too long without getting any and at the current rate, I'll be forced over to FF14.
  8. I wonder what "condies" he's referring to because condi Necro DOTs aren't that great. I don't know why players complain about that exact class/build so much because it's not like you have to stand in marks.... Just move out of them and you're fine. Condi Necros aren't mobile at all so when we're stuck in place by some "bull" ability of another class, we're a sitting duck. Given all the "bullet proofing" classes can do (except Necro), conditions are the last thing a players should be complaining about. Bad class balance and way too much "bullet proofing" is the real reason PvP/WvW is bad and "bullet proofing" is a major part of the reason. "Bullet Proofing" is the reason a team of players can form a gyro/blob, moving as one, and become unstoppable. A lot of cheating is going on in WvW too. I'm starting to see all classes of players vanish like a thief and teleport 200 yards away from you to escape dying. I know every class can't do what the thief does so how are they doing it if they aren't cheating? I had a guardian (I think) beat with my condi Necro... He was on the ground bleeding out as I was going for the finish. Next thing you know, he vanished from the ground, re-appeared a few feet away from me, did a full heal up (bs ability) and then teleported another 100 yards away and then vanished again. Yeah, I see that kind of garbage going on a lot in WvW and since I have played all classes in GW2, I now what each can do and can't do so it's not hard to notice something not normal....like a ranger that can still hit you 3000 yards away or somebody doing a grab and pull on you while you're not only behind a wall and out of sight but WAY behind the wall! Hell, there's a glitch in the game which gets you stuck in a wall if somebody trys to pull you through it and they can kill you stuck in the wall because you can't get out. As a developer, I would have given players the two dodges and one other special slot on their action tray that only accepted one ability like a stun, daze, fear, root, etc... And that would have been it!! You have to make players at some point go toe to toe and face up if you want good PvP. Heals would have been at a minimum and their would not be any full heal up abilities. Range players long range dps would just be smaller DOTs because they shouldn't be able to kill you in the distance, just give themselves an early start on dropping your health. The real damage by range players would be on the closeup, toe to toe the way it should be....none of this 15+K damage from rapid fire like you're seeing now in WvW. Hell, I'm even seeing rangers teleport like the thief now and no, it's not that arrow shot that hides them...it's is straight up teleport 300 yards away stuff. GW2 "devs" just made World of Warcraft PvP all over again but even worst. "WOW" never had so much "bullet proofing." Why go with three teams in WvW? It would have been better with just two teams because when two sides go for one side, it's two against one at that point and you have no chance. You can tell when development is all about the money and not about your enjoyment. Folks.... Lay off the Condi Necro. It's the worst damage dealing class in the game and if you're dying to us condi Necros, you're doing something wrong because we're too easy to beat given our marks and other abilities are not only weak but they don't cover a wide area at all. Hell, most players just run right through marks and kill the Necro. I see them doing that all the time in WvW, ignoring the Necros DOTs because they suck and just kill us dead. Hell, I've seen guardians not take any damage for like 10 seconds and I mean ZERO damage! You can't have good PvP with all that "bullet proofing." You all should be complaining about the Thief and Mesmer being "OP'ed." Those two classes are untouchable Gods. YOU WILL DIE EVERYTIME by a thief and mesmer unless you get help from a lot of players just to kill one. I've seen one thief kill 30+ players solo in WvW because they appear to just vanish from all damage and I mean 30+ players creating AOE damage should hit an invisible thief, but this particular thief NEVER took damage and just killed them all one by "splukin" one!!!!!!! Worst PvP mmorpg ever made!!! You all can hate me for telling the truth but the truth sets you fee. PS, "Devs" do something about thieves being able to hidout near a camp and cause a waypoint to become contested. That's stupid because that one player isn't contesting anything! They're just taking advantage of you're bad game design/logic!
  9. GW2's PvP is bad and it's the developers' fault. They added way too much "bullet proofing" to classes and as a result, players like to form what's called a gyro or blob in WvW, which is a large number of players moving as one and concentrating all their heals, boons, etc as one. This gyro/blob becomes invincible and that group can just run over everyone else and take any area of the map at will. The only way to defeat such a mess is to form your own mess just as massive or bigger. That is garbage PvP! Just today I watched a player (maybe a guardian) get attacked by 10 players including myself and this is the way it went... The target player would first take zero damage for like 10 seconds (I have know idea how he did it that long). Then he started taking some damage but still absorbing way too much because 10 players were blasting him. Then, when his health finally got down to about 15 to 20 percent, BOOM, he healed up to full health and then went on the zero damage trip again. It took a lot of stuns and interrupts for 10 minutes just to kill one player. It was like trying to kill a Raid Boss. NO PLAYER IN THE GAME SHOULD BE ABLE TO BULLET PROOF LIKE THAT. What is even more sick about that encounter was the fact this target player could easily do 7k damage with one hit. So basically, he was God. You tell me.... Is there some gear set greater than legendary? Because he was WAY beyond anything a normal player could achieve in-game. Seriously... How can some players hit for 10k as a Zerg but you as a Zerg (with buffs) can't deliver the same output? I find some seriously questionable things going on in PvP which makes me wonder who's really behind the computer running a character because it would not surprise me if it's someone in the ArenaNet family tree. Bullet proofing destroys PvP but also the fact, the logic behind classes is brain dead. Why in the heck would you allow long range weapon users to do so much damage from distance? You don't wanna give the none long range player a chance? Ranged players should all do a low DOT like what the condi Necro entire class does, which is why condi Necro is so broken. Long range players should at some point have to fight up close and that's when they should do the higher damage not from range. Range attacks should be about getting an edge on your target before they get close, not hit them with 10k arrow strikes for a flawless victory. Completely uncreative design. The condi Necro build/class is the most disrespected of them all. The entire class is basically DOT and with DOT as low as it is for that class, you have no choice but to go zerg even if you're running a scourge, which is lame as #$$&! Some of the Necro skills don't even work correctly, like trail of anguish. You're supposed to have stability when activating trail of anguish but you don't! Players can still stun, pull, root and do what ever they like to you with trail of anguish active. Spectral Walk will not only drop out of recall randomly before 10 seconds but if you do recall, you're still targeted by everyone that was targeting you and you're still stunned, dazed or what ever. You (the Devs) just made the whole Spectral Walk ability useless and lame! Marks do nothing at all because DOT is so low; players just ignore them and go and get you all day if you're a condi Necro. Hell, even Sandstorm damage is pathetic and that is one of you're biggest DOT abilities as a condi Necro. Necro-Grasp ability range just sucks. Speaking of range and grabbing..... I wanna know, how I was behind a wall of smc, half way down on some stairs and an enemy player pulled me from way behind the wall, while I would have not even been visible to grab because of the distance and wall...??? Seriously, I went flying way in the air and over the wall. THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE BY ANY NORMAL STANDARDS IN THE GAME so what is going on "Devs!?" Are all of you doing what World of Warcraft "Devs" were doing to players!? I was in WvW looking at a gyro group and watching them run over everybody and every thing for like two hours and I just stopped trying. It was so boring and I just logged out the game, peroid! It's garbage..... I don't care what anyone say....it's GARBAGE and this kind of material is not why I sunk so much money in the game! It's basically World of Warcraft PvP but worst!! This all can be fixed.... For starters, get rid of all the bullet-proofing skills in PvP, get rid of high ranged DPS and make those players fight up close some and add real DOT to condi Necros because that's all they do is DOT!
  10. A condi Necro is weak.... I don't get why players complained about a condi Necro being OP because that's garbage. After getting in a lot of WvW, I have a feel for the classes as a developer and not as a player. GW2's pvp sucks! The reason pvp is bad is because there's too much "bullet proofing." Take the thief for exampe.... For starters, that class is number one "OP." The thief can constantly vanish and appear and even teleport 100 yards away and back in a blink of an eye. The worst part about the class is the fact, they escape all damage when vanishing.... Really!? You go let that class escape all damage..... ? WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!! So basically you have a class you can't touch and their damage on you is overkill per hit. Look at the mesmer..... You burn everything on your action bar killing the clones, which means the real mesmer is free to go to town on you and they have overkill dps per hit. Even if you hit them, it seems to do very little. I've seen instances where a player was getting hit by multiple players and on my screen all I could see was, "blockblockblockblockblock" and "evadeevadeevadeevadeevade." How is that WvW pvp? It's player vs bullet proof! Somebody in the game said the old development team that worked on World of Warcraft is responsible for GW2's content. I'm starting to believe that statement now because the thief is an exact copy of rouge from "WOW" and Ranger is an exact copy of Hunter from "WOW." Guardians can even grab and pull you like the Death Knight from "WOW." Warcraft's pvp was garbage! That's the problem with mmorpgs that include PvP..... The developers can't balance things because they put in too much bullet proofing instead of letting players face up and go toe to toe at some point in combat. It's nonsense when you think about.... Why allow a Ranger to do such much damage from distance? You're not giving the target a chance, especially when you add it the stun shots. Instead, let the Ranger have a weaker "DOT" long range and force the class to to pull a mele weapon at some point and actually fight at close range; the same concept should apply to all long range hitting classes. Put the thief's vanishing on a cool down, force the class to pull daggers and actually fight you. Get rid of all the 100 yard teleporting. It's so bad in-game, thief players will actually appear right in the middle of the opposition and jump up and down. When a player has that much confidence, you know the class has too much and is "OP." I watched one thief killed 30+ players solo because he kept vanishing out of all damage. I mean even marks on the ground had no effect (marks are garbage anyway) and when you can re-appear and stab a player for 7k damage or more... You're GOD! The Thief and Mesmer are GOD classes in game. You will not win solo and it has nothing to do with skill and 100 percent everything to do with unbalanced classes and too much bullet proofing because GW2 like a lot of mmorpgs... Is a press-button-action-tray-game...no real skill required, just the best gear and best OP/bullet proofing classes. The weakest class in the game is condi Necro. Why? It sucks.... I know, I play that class and I have all other classes as well. Players will walk through and all over you Marks. You wanna know why? Because the "DOT" from marks is like 100, 150, 200, 250, 300-400 and if you can catch them in the Sandstorm Shade, you might see 1K ticks of "DOT." That sucks! Players have too much health/toughness, healing and bullet proofing to be effected by Marks and players complain about condi Necro's "DOT" and got the class "Nerfed"...... "Geezus Kryst!" The Necro has nothing to be afraid of! Spectral Walk could have been useful but the "Devs" made it garbage. If you get hit during the Spectral Walk, it will drop out and leave you hanging with no recall. Instead of lighting up the Necro during Spectral Walk, how about allowing the Necro to go partial transparent...? You let the thief stay vanished all day long.... The worst thing about the ability is the fact, if you do get the recall, everybody that targeted you will still have you targeted. THAT TOTALLY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF PULLING BACK! It's not rocket science..... GW2 classes are just so unbalance when it comes to pvp and again, a huge part of that is all the pullet proofing and no "toe to toe" face ups worth anything. The thief and Mesmer are by far the boldest classes in the game. Players that run on those two already know they're going to win every 1 on 1. The only way they drop is if an army chase them down and I mean chase them down which comes right back to what I've been expressing. It's too easy for those classes to escape. You'll never escape on a Necro because that class doesn't have any such abilities. Seriously, Necro is the worst class in WvW/PvP. If you're running a Reaper, you might feel different but Condi-Necro is garbage. No damage for "DOTs" at all! Players happy accept your "DOT" as they free run towards you for the kill because none of your other abilities deal any real damage either. Dagger, torch....I don't care what you have as a condi Necro, the damage is going to be low unless you Reaper "Zerg" but now you're just telling players you can't build the way YOU want to build and still deal damage. I guess "DOT" isn't considered damage...huh.... It makes no sense... The developers allow a thief to stab you for 10K but can't allow your Marks to do 3K damage at the lowest pure tick? Folks.... If a condi Necro lose 10K health on one hit and his "DOT" only did 2K damage a tick, it will take 5 ticks to equal the 10K a thief did but by the time those 5 ticks happen, how many more hits you think the thief is going to get? Yeah, a thief just don't usually hit once. So how does low "DOT" from condi Necros supposed to work? You're basically a "DOT" machine as a condi Necro but you have no damage per tick..... No damage per tick equals no kills.... PERIOD!!! Wow..... Wow...... WOOOOOWWWOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely brain dead development. You know.... The Necro is the Warrior in Warcraft. The reason I said (typed) that is, players complained about the Warrior class in "WOW" for no real reason and the "Devs" "nerfed" the class so bad, it was garbage. No one wanted a Warrior in their dungeon group and you got kicked if you were in a raid group. You were pure target dummy in pvp as well. That's the same thing that's happening to the Necro in GW2. The Necro is becoming the rabbit... The target dummy for all other classes.... That World of Warcraft Warrior. All GW2 classes are bad and OP except the condi Necro (you can argue Reaper). Guardians = "blockblockblockblockblock" "evadeevadeevadeevade!" Thief = untouchable without army. Mesmer = untouchable without army. Ranger = you'll never get close. Elementalist = you'll never get close. I would say.... I haven't really seen Warriors, Revenants and Eng in PvP much. Those are about the only classes I don't have a feel for...I think....but I'm sure they're OP and have some form of bullet proofing. Maybe I did see them but just didn't realize it because all the OP and bullet proofing all classes seem to do except the Necro. Why not let the Necro class into the bullet proofing? Why leave that one out? It's funny tho.... The Necro class being a "NECRO." You would think such a class would be the master of "DOT" but actually, every other classes has greater "DOT" and that's sad given a condi Necro is basically all "DOT." Hell, we even have "Blood" for a specialization but yet, the Necro does not have the best healing overall in-game. This long commenting isn't even a rant about condi Necro being so weak but about the bad PvP in general with all the bullet proofing. Little to no bullet proofing and a lot more facing up is how pvp is supposed to be done and that's the only way to really balance all the classes. You can't have long range and super high DPS with it.... You can't allow vanishing out of all damage.... You can't allow multiple blocks..... You can't allow multiple evades...... You can't have a ton of stuns, roots, dazes and other garbage that stops combat.... It's just a mess! Of course players don't know any better because that's the only way pvp in mmorpgs have been developed, badly. One thief killing 30+ players after jumping up and down in the middle of them all........ ......................... ................................. I'm speechless. That alone speaks for itself so players, please stop talking about condi Necro being OP when it's the weakest classs in the game. Hell, I don't even think Reaper is OP because you can just vanish while a Reaper is in a Shade (thief) and re-appear and stab him in the booty. Flawless Victory! Marks can't do anything but maybe scratch you a little bit, you go complain about that? So you don't even want a scratch from a Necro huh?...... You just wanna flawless victory all day long on condi Necro huh?.... Well the developers gave all of you that wish. Must be nice.... Enjoy all the bullet proofing and "OP'ing!" If only a(n) mmorpg would drop and have PvP correctly done.... Where players have to do more facing up and toe to toe slugging instead of all the running around, pullet proofing and OP'ing... I would drop GW2 in a heartbeat. Seriously tho.... Is it true? Was old Blizzard hired for GW2!? WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(________
  11. This is the wrong place to ask that question. The fan boys and girls who play that class love the fact they can shadow step through all damage and basically be bullet proof. You need to create a post targeted at the "Devs" because it's their fault GW2 has the worst PvP I have ever seen and I thought "WOW" pvp was bad. Funny how players complained about "Necros" (for no reason) but yet the thief can literally run around and kill five people, taking no damage, all while they're blasting away at them. I know this because I seen it because I was a part of a group of 10 on one thief and he just shadow stepped through all damage, even AOE ground dot done by "Necros." And players got the nerve to complain about "Necros"..... Even worst, the "Devs" killed the "Necro" class because of it....but yet the thief is still bullet proof. Keep up the good work "Devs".... GW2 days are numbered.
  12. My Signet of Undeath will not work when I try to bring back a downed player. Is there some condition to it that's not being noted in-game, like...you have to cast it before players die or something.... ?? or Maybe they can't be totally dead or has to be totally dead... IDK anymore. I just know it never works when I use it. Players die, I cast it right on them and they just get deader. Come on "Devs".... What are we doing here?
  13. Agreed. PvP (WvW) is horrible! For me it's not about classes not having balance because that's never going to happen; GW2 "Devs" are doing what "WOW" "Devs" were doing...tweaking classes left and right at the call of complaints but that's never going to work; you're just hurting classes that were decent at one point (like the Necro). My biggest beef while playing WvW is the players who can disappear and reappear at will, any distance they want and can do this vanishing act as many times as they want to in a row, without cool-downs. They are able to move like the flash and hit for 70k damage a pop. I even saw a player fly away once. I have no idea how they're doing this stuff but PvP in GW2 is a joke. To be honest, it's "WOW-like" because players were doing the same kind of stuff in that game. I'll never forget the players I saw flying away in "WOW" battlegrounds. All I could do was laugh because I knew, if things were designed right, all those "Doctor Whos" wouldn't be flying away to Whoville. I absolutely hate the mode with a passion and don't want to do it but feel forced to do it because I want the legendary armor. If I ever achieve that, I would never PvP again, not in GW2. I'm not even doing the holiday Halloween dungeon because it involves PvP. It does matter what kind of player you are in PvP; when somebody can vanish all around you at will, teleport off 500 yards away, disappear in the distance, then reappear behind you for a back-stab of 80k, you're never going to win that battle...even if you're the best "PvP'er" in the world. GW2 Fan Boys and Girls are always going to defend the game and consider anyone telling the truth about things a troll...I already know that but stating one's opinion and sharing one's experience in the game doesn't make them a troll. This kind of behavior by the die-hard Fans is one of the reasons things will never really change much in GW2. You have to keep in mind, you got 12 year olds and younger dropping their opinion in the forums and any adult should know how that's going to go. If you're one of the PvP players who's vanishing, flying and teleporting, of course you're going to defend it all...you're having a blast hacking your client-side. Well enjoy it...because I have the feeling...when a lot of players get what they want, which is most likely the legendaries... They are probably not going to look back at PvP/WvW which means, all you God players will run out of rabbits to kill and the game mode will go dry. :) Yay! Lmbo! Alright, alright... Just kidding a little bit. 😄 I'll leave it at this... The only thing I like in GW2 that looks like WvW is Drizzlewood. Forgive my "typos."
  14. GW2 is not underrated... It's actually overrated. The game has more cons than pros and doesn't come together very well when you look at a lot of things. Now I know the fan boys and girls are going to go bananas reading this, but just stay calm...I'm not saying don't play GW2 or tell a friend about it, I'm just stating the developers dropped the ball on a lot of things. - Armor types really mean nothing. It doesn't matter if you're wearing light, medium or heavy, you won't get any greater of a defense against physical attacks and that makes no sense. Heavy armor should add more physical defense than medium and light. You got to keep in mind, physical damage is different from elemental damage so you wouldn’t absorb any magical damage from armor, you would need resistance to an element for that. That’s what bugs me with Elementalists... You can attune to fire, use it to deal damage...practically become fire...but you have no resistance from fire when getting hit by it. That’s just bad imagination or lack of creativity. - The ultimate stat is power (precision and ferocity). There's so many different stat-lines one can craft their gear with but in reality, it's all just a waste. Power is the most valuable of them all. If you want to deal damage, you stack power, precision and ferocity...period! Because of this, there’s only two things you can ultimately be... A damage dealer or a supporter but here’s the problem... You can easily be a damage dealer by stacking the big three stats but what can you stack to be...lets say...a good healer? Nothing!! You can never stack enough healing, concentration or expertise to jack up your ability as a supporter like someone can who wants to deal damage. The “Devs” wanted to go in a different direction than Tank, Healer and DPS but the direction they went in is no-mans-land. - Boons are meaningless. This is fact because 1 to 3 seconds of might isn’t going to help you much in anyway. The same can be said for a life leech of 200 health per leech. Really...boons, HOTs (heal over time) and DOTs (damage over time) are so poorly implemented, you’re better off just doing what most players do and that’s “zerk” out so they can survive and actually contribute big for a group. As a support Necro, what’s the point in me casting a 2.5K shield when the enemy is hitting like 10k a pop...then the weak ability has to go on a cool-down and during that time, you’re being slaughtered up. I know a group as a whole is supposed to all help out on support but really...”zerks” can do it alone because their own healing abilities are enough to carry the group so where does that leave a total support player? ....... Huge ball drop. - Unnecessary wasted time. Lets be honest... Getting anything done in a mmorpg takes a long time. That’s nothing new, been like that in mmorpgs before GW2 because no company/developing team thinks to make the game move along faster for players who actually have a life outside the game. Little things could really help out on the time consumption like getting rid of the cool-downs associated with crafting. Really...it makes no sense waiting ten days to craft ten items you can actually craft like, right now. That’s just a blatant waste of a gamers time and I know it’s all about gold sinking you but adds zero polish to a mmo that already has room for a ton polishing. If you look for them, you find a lot of things that just waste too much extra time. - In game rewards for level 80s is just bad. I know everything in the game kind of points back to gold but come on... Is it really going to kill the game to give one gold per chest in Drizzlewood final events? Is the thought of letting an ascension piece gear drop at the rate of one drop out of every 30 Drizzlewood final events (north and south)? Why are level 80 players getting so much meaningless garbage in their bags? I remember getting something completely odd once in Drizzlewood...can’t remember what it was but I was like, “are you kidding me?! This garbage shouldn’t even be dropping on this map!” Seriously “Devs”....just give players some raw gold from chests and that alone will make a lot of players happy with the loop system. Your gold sinks are going to get it back anyway, right? - Inconsistencies throughout the game. When you have auto loot enabled, you expect to never have to manually loot another chest or anything again but sadly the ability doesn’t stick throughout the game. It’s the same thing with “teleporters” on maps. One map has too many teleporters and another map might have one or two. Fans make up excuses by saying, “well, we have mounts now” but sorry, that’s just an excuse for poor polish and inconsistency. - Too many scripted knocked downs in combat (now) and “small fry” enemies are becoming world bosses. Seriously...if you go to Drizzlewood as a support player who does not stack power, precision and ferocity...go toe to toe with a single “small fry”, you’ll find yourself on the ground reaching up as a “small fry” enemy sends you to your maker. This is absolutely unacceptable for a player who’s level 80 and wearing all ascension gear! Even as a “zerk” in Drizzlewood, you better kill fast but that won’t help you much if you end up in the middle of a swarm of “small fry.” I find myself on the ground from random knockdowns in combat like 90 percent of the fight time and this is practically on every map because that “knockdown” thing has been programmed everywhere. That’s like the worst thing I’ve ever seen in any mmorpg. It’s one thing to make “small fry” enemies like bosses but to gave you no chance at staying alive because you’re always on the ground...sometimes for 10 seconds a knockdown... Utter disgrace. Calm down folks, “geesh!” GW2 is a playable mmorpg even with all the short comings. It’s just far from being the greatest mmorpg ever made, but doable. Are there better mmos out there? Definitely one...22 million players and counting but I’m not naming it here. I just wish the “Devs” would clean a lot of things up so the game can be what I know it can be. Really, after putting so much money in this game, I wouldn’t want to just give up on it anytime soon. It really is up to the “Devs” as far as what happens with this mmo title in the future and rather or not players continue with it or part ways. There is nothing anyone can say that will cause someone to stop playing a game. Only the game itself can do that. Forgive my “typos” if any... My eyes move too fast at times... Like a baby Yoda.
  15. I was thinking about how Necros can't use a sword other than the Broadswords, which require the correct Spec. As a support build Necro, the only thing bladed I can wield is a dagger but dagger skills suck...sorry but it's true. I don't stack power at all and can do way more damage with an Axe and zero damage with a dagger. That kind of poor balance is on the "Devs" but I'm not here to talk about GW2 cons. I was thinking... What if a long bladed dagger was created for Necros... One that's longer than the usual in-game dagger but a little shorter than the usual single handed sword length. So I thought about such a dagger having a Skritt based lore and came up with what I call, the Skritt Reavor. I have no idea of how to direct image post in GW2 forums so I hope the image forum bbcode link shows up.... http://[img]https://i.imgur.com/LLMULga.jpg[/img] Doesn't look like it's going to work so try this link zQDoebg.png (2048×1024) (imgur.com) This was just quick work... Don't have the time to do anything really nice since I'm working on a new mobile game app.
  16. When I first bought bag slots I thought it was an account thing. So disappointed when I found out it was per character. Constantly running out of bag space hurts the game because it's discouraging. Like someone already mentioned, it's too expensive to max out every characters at 400 gems per slot. The "Devs" made sure to place lots of junk in your bags too, so you constantly have to toss something out. This problem holds the game back from having a well polished feel (along with some other issues). Increasing item stacks from 250 to 999, would greatly help with overall storage issues. I put money into the game already so let me enjoy the game...hard to do that while constantly bothered with bag space. It's bad enough legendaries are tied to WvW/PvP and Raids. That's the same mistake "WOW" made and it did them in, in the end. Seriously.... 400 gems per slot, that needs to be account wide. And why is it at level 80...deep into the game... Players are still getting junk items? At some point, a player should only get items that can be converted into gold but sadly, we keep getting junk from in-game chests...which makes no sense at all. This is why so many players complain about the quality of in-game loot and they are right. I understand the "Devs" want to cut your gold making chances in order to force you to buy gold but here's the thing... It's not necessary! Players will put money into the game anyway because they'll see something from the "cash shop" that just catches their eye and they'll want it. No need to force or steer us towards the "cash shop", we'll get there on our own. Get rid of the junk items at level 80... Get rid of the cool downs on crafted/special items (E.g. charged quartz crystals). It takes long enough to do anything in GW2 so why make it even longer with these crafted item cool downs which makes no sense and serves no purpose, other than further controlling gold gains with major gold sinks and limiting items over a period of time...like those charged quartz crystals. All of that kills the game. It's just a bunch of mess taken from pass MMORPGS and just like it served no purpose on those MMOs, it serves no purpose on GW2. It's good to just do things different and not copy everything from past titles. Forgive me for any "typos."
  17. I solved the issue by powering off/on my modem/router. I can only assume using my VPN software last night must have changed something in the network configuration.
  18. Can login and get to char screen but nothing happens after clicking "play." Everything was fine yesterday. No changes were made to system.
  19. Having the same issue with the lightbringer wings (blade wings). The mursaat or however it's spelled, does the same thing. This is not cool given they're digital items you acutally spend money to aquire. Would be nice if color change was added to both of those items.
  20. Clearly understand that because I had the same experience. You can't keep up on foot and the enemy players will just pick you off like cowards the moment you get isolated. What I don't understand is, why the "Devs" didn't see this coming to begin with...it's as plain as day. A rental system is the best way to go because you can already "rent a griffon" in game...so why not a WvW mount? This even has connection with the idea I dropped in forum some time ago about how players fairly new to fracs could benefit from an NPC rental system as well. Lets face it, older players who do fracs are way ahead and if you're in early T1, you're going to have a hard time trying to find anyone that's willing to run multiple fracs at your level. So why not do the Guildwars 1 thing and allow players to hire NPCs to run fracs with until they catch up with older players? It can't hurt because you'll end up spending more coin for NPCs the higher level/tier you go in fracs, so once you catch up to older players, you wouldn't want to continue using the system because it'll cost too much gold at that point...that's how you control the usage. There's so much the "Devs" could be doing to polish up the game and fix issues that happen as an MMO gets older...like older players moving on out of reach. It won't hurt to insert these "gap closers", it'll only make GW2 a more polished and tighter developed game. As for expansions.... I don't mind spending money because game development is a business/job, which is why I've bought all expansions (including EOD) and spend money in the "cashshop." As someone who's been with the game before POF came out, I can say...I'm NOT in love with GW2. It's the things that can be fixed that are holding the game back from really being something. Not being able to find frac players at lower frac levels... Not being able to craft legendary without going through WvW, PvP or Raids.... Cool downs on crafting certain items, which makes zero sense... No mount in WvW so you can't keep up.... Having to create a special build just for PvP instead of having one build for all (like in WOW).... Gold sinks are a little too harsh since farming gold is done over days or even weeks depending on how much you need... Not being able to sell directly to players, items you craft.... Infusions in TP are way too expensive.... Having legendary weapons in the TP but not armor.... The fact armor types don't really mean a thing.... The fact ability attribues are useless because the time limits are too small; 1 second of this...3 seconds of that... You basically get nothing from most skill attributes in the game because of this and that's BAD!!! The WORST concept I've seen in any MMORPG!!! What's the point of me stacking concentration to increase boon durations if the increase is so little you can't even notice it? What's the point in having 1 second might because it's gone before you can even drop an attack? What's the point in having tiny little heal effects when you're being hit for 10+K damage a pop? If you say it helps, you're lying and don't give me the whole group thing, I get that GW2 is not base on Tank, Healer DPS, etc... I'm not saying give super heals, I'm just saying make them count more, especially for anyone that does not stack power ("zerker") because small fry in Drizzlewood do enormous damage and if you can't "zerk" kill them fast... "Gawd" help you then. For example...as a support Necro... You're not built on might/power...not if you're a total support Necro. You have to stay alive by healing, absorbing damage (shielding boons) and killing your enemy. Here's the thing... You can only do DOT (damage over time) and when look at some of the attributes on skills... The durations are so low or the effect amount is so low... You do good to stay alive at all in a place like Drizzlewood because the enemies there are high in defense or something and only "zerks" can kill them quickly. If you're a support player, you feel weak as hell in Drizzlewood and that's with ascension gear on. The game is basically all about damage...it's gone to the"zerks" so to say and a big part of that is due to the ridiculous low boon durations. That's one thing WOW did better... If you buffed yourself on that game, you saw and felt the difference. You didn't have these useless 1 to 3 seconds perks that don't stop a deer in Drizzlewood from killing you. That might sound like a joke, but seriously... I saw a player in Drizzlwood trying to kill a deer and coudn't do so, so they just gave up before the deer killed them. That players was most likely a support build player...a DOT damage player.... OR they could have been a conditional damage based player which is still DOT. And easy fix would be, increase overall healing but handi-cap it as a player stacks power (percision, etc) so if they go full "zerk", everything would be the same for them but support players would get the benefit of better healing because they are not stacking power, percision and...forgot that third "zerk" attribute but you know that they are. Support players are going to stack healing, conditional damage, concentration, expertise, etc... This will help the support players not only with supporting the whole group better...but staying alive because the healing will make up for the slow DOT attack style, especially on a deadly small fry map like Drizzlewood. And what's up with all the Knock Downs in the game now? Small fry enemies are like world Bosses now because you spend 90 percent of your time on the ground. This is also making my action tray none responsive because the knock downs happen as you click on an action; really poor choice adding that in. In fact, it's the only MMORPG where I've seen such a thing. If World of Warcraft were to go totally free to play with just an in-game shop like GW2 and sell all expansions in one pack for a reasonable price, I would considered going back to it just because WOW was well polished. Bad concepts for the game but it was well polished. Looks like FF14 online is still King. I'm a Final Fantasy Fan by the way... Loved FF 7, 8, 9 and 10.
  21. I agree with the opening post...PvP or WvW, it doesn't matter...it won't work. I know what you're talking about Madel.8691 because I've seen the same thing. There's no way to bullet proof in PvP so why are there players taking zero damage while dealing out any where from 1 to 3 hit kills? GW2's PvP is not fun and for the same reasons World of Warcrafts PvP was broken. And before you Fanboys attack, I'm not necessarily talking about cheating or anything like that (although is can happen). PvP is not right because the overall game design is not right. Fanboys love talking about builds and stuff but really, GW2 only has one build, "zerk" and that's because Power seems to be the dominant attribute. Condi and support builds are really not needed at all because "zerks" as a whole will heal the group and "zerks" as a whole will absorb damage...because GW2 does not follow a true Tank, DPS and healer tradition (which always bugs me when a player in game assumes they can heal alone for a raid or dungeon...phft!). That alone makes the game not really that fun because it's a "zerk's" world. Yes, GW2 belongs to the "zerks!" "Zerk" for breakfast, "zerk" for lunch, "zerk" for dinner and "zerk" for dessert. Armor..... That's another bad concept. Armor types mean nothing in GW2. Heavy, Med or Light it does not matter, you will basically take the same damage. If you consider that fact and take into account healing is not strong in the game because there's no healer class and therefore no super healing for one player... So you tell me... How is that "zerk" in WvW not only taking next to zero damage but able to bust full heals in the matter of seconds? I've seen it too many times to know it's going on in PvP. Now rather you want to say it's a cheat or not...I don't know but something is up and I know it's not armor types (or builds), I know it's not from buffs and I know there's no super healing in the game. You can argue about specs and builds and what not but players should not have to jump through build loops of fire just to play in PvP. GW2 PvP feels just like World of Warcraft's PvP with the same old players who appear to be Gods. I remember back in "WoW" me and a buddy ended up two on one in a PvP match up. We both were geared fairly good and my bud was a thief and I was a paladin (with lots of healing ability). When we saw the one player, I was like WTH...is he really going to fight both of us alone. I'll never forget it, the other dude was a female blood elf. When the match started, the blood elf stood there taking zero damage from every thing we threw at him and then he finally did one sword slash....just one and BOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! Me and my bud were dead!!!! One hit kill!!!! Two people at once!!!! That's impossible.... There's was no way in "WoW" for any player to take zero damage let alone kill two well geared players with one strike. When I'm in WvW in GW2, I see similar stuff. A player running around being attacked by four people, taking little to no damage at all and by the time you count to three.... The four attackers are dead by the one player and he's standing there in full health...without a scratch. I don't know what the "H" is going on but this is why I don't care for PvP in GW2 and the only reason I'm doing it is because the "DEVS" forced me to do it! That's right! In order to craft my legendary I'm forced to do PvP for the Gift of Battle! This is why all gear types in game should be obtainable outside of PvP and Raids by use of the crafting system and common items alone! Some players don't want to be forced to be a rabbit for players who take zero damage while dealing out 100K damage in one hit. How they do it, you figure it out but the fact I must do it in order to obtain an in-game item for crafting is disgusting! The God players have destroyed PvP...there is nothing fun about it! Sadly, it can't be fixed with the current game design but at least remove the Gift of Battle from PvP and make it available in-game another, non-raiding, way. Let PvP be for all the players who are doing what every it is they are secretly doing to get "Godded" up. Yes, there's hacks and cheats.... I know this. Back in "WoW" I saw this Deathknight busting attacks on a target dummy in game and I stood and watched him. What I noticed was, he had no cools downs! This guys was constantly spamming his most powerful attacks over and over again with no refresh of abilities and he was doing it forever until I sent a "pm" and asked him what cheat he was using because I know it was a hack. He then stopped and only said, "getting ready to raid" and ran off. You would think it's impossible because of server side data relations but obviously it's not. Some players are doing PvP for legendary armor too....again...the "DEVS" have forced PvP on your unwilling soul! I will never have legendary armor because when I craft the one legendary weapon, I'm done! No more blasting a player in WvW only to see him just stand there in full health like you're not even there. What kind of garbage game design is that!? If it's a hack, then it needs to be dealt with! The "DEVS" are going to ruin it all... I know it's coming... The same thing that hurt "WoW." There will be another armor and weapon tier and it will be tied to Raiding or PvP and will make ascension gear useless. When that day come, my GW2 days will be over....just like I walked away from World of Warcraft, GW2 will be no acception. I just hate the fact I have put so much money into the game already and bought the "EOD" expansion that's coming, early. Forgive me for "typos"...eyes are not as great anymore. Alright Fanboys.... Your time to attack now. Go ahead, keep telling the "DEVS" they're doing everything right and keep blaming players.... You see what happend to "WoW?" ....... Get a clue....
  22. For some reason, the backpack graphic keeps vanishing while doing normal game actions. I'm hating the fact I bought the item now. Bad enough players can't change the color of the item.
  23. Can we get some store bought infusions that add glamor/armor effects/stats/agony please. Some fire themed ones would be nice. I willing to pay real money...seriously.... I want to give you my money ArenaNet for store infusions.... Aren't you going to take it? :)
  24. Even though what I'm about to mention is common sense to me but evident, it slips the conscious of most developers. I’ve always felt adding game modes to MMORPGs was something you can’t take lightly and have to look at it from all angles, even the effects of long term game play. I’ve notice and it’s fairly evident, it’s not easy at all for new or late Frac players to find other players who are on their Frac level. That’s because most older players have moved on to higher tier Fracs and not looking to help another player make it up the tiers. Can you blame these older players? No.... They made it to tier 6 or what ever so that’s what they’re going to run for better rewards. So what can you do if you’re a player who is still at tier 1 of 1-25 Fracs? Honestly, nothing....and this hurts because if you're going to achieve better things in-game, you need Fracs. Sure you can spend hours a day just waiting around in hopes of getting a “pug” but that’s a waste of time, boring and no fun. There’s no all Frac guilds you can join either. Even if players tell you their guild run those, you will most likely not run any Fracs when you join those guilds because guilds as they stand, are lacking imagination. Too many players in a single guild for one thing. Two things can be done by the Developers to not only solve the Frac problem I’m writing about, but also make the Fracs way cooler. Solution 1.... Remember how in GW1 you could hire mercenaries to party with instead of real people? That concept would be major in Fracs for those players who are left behind by the older, higher tier players. This would allow lower tier players to rapidly run Fracs on their own until they catch up with the older players and can then start partying with real players. In order for this solution to work, you can’t hide it behind a major gold sink because the NPC team system will be used too frequently by lower Frac players and will cost too much if it’s place behind a gold sink. I like solution 1 best. Solution 2.... Introduce a single player mode into Fracs where the dificulty is lowered enough to challenge one player. Again, I like solution one because that’ll actually bring back memories for anyone who played GW1 and know what the mercenary for hire thing is all about. Now I know GW fan boys and girls are going to attack this post but solution 1 would take nothing away from the game, it’ll only make Fracs way more fun and stress free as far as finding a group. If you can’t find real players, no sweat, just hire mercenaries. As it stands right now, finding a group at tier 1 is a chore and nearly impossible. Just go to “looking for group” for Fracs 1-25 for tier 1.... IT’S EMPTY!!!! and rightfully so. I hope the “Devs” see this and really consider adding the NPC mercenaries for higher to the Fracs of Mists. That was one of the coolest things about GW1 and can’t hurt bringing it to Fracs. Hell, don’t stop there... Do it for five man dungeons too. Man.... Fracs would be WIDE open if solution 1 is implemented! Not to mention, such an addition to the game would bring GW2 to a higher level of over all game polish. Sorry for any "typos." You may now attack......
