  1. I don't know why players refer to Necro shroud as a second health bar because it's not tied to health. A second health bar would be an actual yellow bar in front of health or completely replacing it, which players in WvW magically run around with all the time absorbing all damage forever. Hell, damage raise their health instead of dropping it... Straight cheaters. The problem with shroud, speaking of Core and Scourge, is the fact it provides no BURST damage! Core Shroud has a weak base blast that does nothing, a weak fear that will most likely fail do to immunities. No stability means you get "CC" ganked and shroud is wasted. Folks, I just got done rolling with my Willbender and holly "gawd"... Even with Exotic gear on my "WB", I absorbed damage like crazy! I killed I don't know how many players. The sweetest part is the fact, the moment I got hit on my "WB", at least five Boons auto kicked in and that's not counting the other Boons I manually started. The Willbender attacks allow for hard to hit movment and can allow you to escape a lot if needed (use 'invul' if necessary). As someone who's main is Necro... I can tell you, the Necro is garbage compared to the Willbender. I don't know what the "Devs" are doing and why they decided to destroy the Necro but they did. You CAN'T absorb damage outside of shroud as a Neco and that's fact! I only had 2.9 toughness on my Willbender and never felt any real fear of going down. I have had around 4k, if not more, toughness on my Necro, combined with carapace stacks and still take damage like my defense is Zero. IT'S BUILT IN THE CLASS! Necros CAN NOT absorb damage unless in shroud but that's not fair because shroud goes really fast because of high damage and the fact you have no right-side action bar while in shroud and you have no really high damage, hard hitting skills in shroud, Necro is offically one of the worst, if not the worst, class in all of GW2! Even a Ranger's pet is more deadly than a Necro! Look at the Necros base damage on all weapons except Great Sword.... The damage is too low to kill anybody! My Willbender's base damage on weapons is WAY higher than any base damage the Necro has! That's why Reaper is the only damage dealing class for the Necro because the Great Sword has the best base damage but what kills the Reaper... That fact Necros defense is always ZERO! You always take high damage no matter what and because of this, it's impossible at times to get close to any player because of the high ranged DPS and "CC." So if my Necro's zero defense is not a class thing, then it's an "ArenaNet Baby" Account 'Nerf' thing but it's there. The Necro is really NOT a fun class to play and it's just more proof of how poorly the PvP is in GW2 when it comes to class balance alone. If the "Devs" just gave the Necro more Boons like the Willbender (at least core and scourge) and allow the class to absorb some damage outside of shroud, that alone would allow the class to use other abilities more instead of always trying to get to shroud because of the "Zero Defense Built In Effect." Again, shroud has no real high burst damage because like the class, it's based on conditions but conditions are dead in WvW. Most damage is going to come from base-hit-power. The highest conditions in WvW come from siege and other classes. Reaper shroud.... "Gawd".... It's over before you even start it and given the "zero defense effect" out-side of shroud, it's no surprise I'm seeing more Necros of all specs hitting the ground more than any other class in WvW. Seriously....that's lame! No defense no matter how much toughness and carapace gets stack...you just defeated the purpose toughness attribute for Necros and made carapace worthless. How much more worst can the developers get... How much more pathetic are they going to make the Necro class... It's already a target-dummy class. PS, I have a Mesmer and can find nothing in the specs that would justify WvW Mesmers who instantly create 10+ clones right a fight start. Sure has heck can't justify the Mesmers who's clones circle around them like a storm, killing everything in path. Cheaters keep coming up with new stuff...amazing. "Typos" are us, Peace
  2. GW2 has too many "dang" shaders that are not necessary. Good textures, lighting and basic bump mapping is all that's need for any game. Special effects do not need to be over-done, all you're doing is baking a gpu. Guildwars 2 is the only game that makes my PC a little too warm for comfort and that's saying a lot given how modern PC games use the gpu and shaders. The word here is, optimization. Given how bad the game concepts are, especially in WvW/PvP, one can only expect the entire structure of the game to be under par.
  3. All the Class problems in the game reflect back on the developers. They have created all this nonsense for Classes without considering how each thing they come up with is going to contrast with every other Class and the overall gameplay. WvW is a mess, just look at what goes on... Classes with high speed and "invul", high long range damage with super speed, 10+ Boons that activate at the start of battle against a poor boon Class (Necro), way too much CC, way too much cleansing and conditional damage dodging. The Neco Class is also completely broken in WvW. Core, Curses with Scepter.... That's designed for conditional damage but yet the "Devs" reduce all condi damage to nothing in WvW. Look at the base damage on Scepter, Focus, Dagger and Axe... That base damage is way too low for WvW so even if you could stack up to 2.7 power with sigils and food (not counting might), it won't make a differnce in WvW because it barely makes a difference in PvE. Necros do not have 'CC' that pushes players back, root or launch. Fear effect is way to short even when you extend it, so basically players are free to run right up on the Necro, drop real "CC" and do their worst, everytime. Everything you do as a Necro is announced to the other player so they can dodge it. Mark drops can be seen and dodged, Necro skills have cast time (E.g. Plaguelands) so the other player can see you dropping it and and if you drop something like Plaguelands, it's so tiny and doesn't grow, players can walk around it, roll through it or just stand in the middle of it because it's conditional damage which is destroyed in WvW. One of the biggest brain dead things I'm seeing right now in WvW with the Necro is the fact, everything the Class throw a other Classes, they seem to be immune to it...yeah....regular attacks can't land and that's without "invul." You can't get anymore broken than that! So Warrior isn't the only broken Class and players who run the more "OP" Classes in WvW are taking advantage of the developers poor concepts and design. Players are using extended versions of 'invulnerability' (cheaters) to basically take zero damage while you throw your best at them and this leaves them free to do their worst and if for some reason they get into trouble, super speed bursts and teleporting gets them away for a full heal up or they go 'invul' again. How the heck are players absorbing so much damage... You can stack Vit and Toughness to the moon with a Necro and even add carapace stacks, and you still take damage like you have zero defense, while other Classes absorb everything you toss at them. That's not PvP, that's garbage! World of Warcraft wasn't that bad! On top of the ridiculous Class designs, WvW is a gank fest! You're either being ganked by a Big Zerg, Smaller Zerg, Single Hacker or Single "ArenaNet Baby." The "Babies" are the worst! You know when you're facing a cheater because the encounter will be totally one sided...you might even spend the entire time "CC'ed" on the ground. Guildwars 2 Classes all have a ceiling because of the game design, obtainable Legendary and Ascension gear and Spec Mechanics. It's not hard to notice when players are going way beyond their class ceiling. "Typos" suck, Peace
  4. Here's the thing... I know a lot of players love defending cheaters because a lot of them know the cheater or are secretly one themselves, but come on... The obvious is the obvious. I know one defense is, "players just don't know class mechanics." Here's the problem with all such talk... Guild wars 2 is a gear/stat based game, that has click-tray actions...much like a lot of MMOs made in the past. Since Ascension and Legendary gear are basically the same stat-wise and both can be obtained, there's no real advantage on the gear, unless you want to count adding extra infusion slots to ascension gear and plugging in more stats. Meta Builds are pre-determined online (not that great in my opinion) so once you get better than Exotic gear and Meta Build... That's all she wrote folks. You can argue until the cows come home about mechanics but looking into your spec trees and seeing what does what isn't rocket science. Thieves and "Eles" are two of the squishiest classes in the game, which is evident if you ever played one in PvE. I don't care how you spec with a Thief or an "Eel", there is no way to run around with constant extra health (yellow health bar), while all damage you're taking is giving you even more extra health. That ability does NOT exists amongst thieves and "Eles!" Such an ability would be completely 'OP' and yeah, I know the classes are all unbalanced but come on....the "Devs" can't be that brain-dead...right!? I seen a Ranger running around in WvW, casting nothing at all because I had him targeted (no boons), but for some reason, ten + players all blasting away on this Ranger couldn't put a dent in his health...it stayed at 100 percent and no it was not that “panic button” ability that makes the ranger go “invul” because this Ranger was taking zero damage for far too long (no boons, remember?). Now I know Rangers can stealth, got a Ranger char myself, but this same God Mode Ranger not only vanished multiple times in a row but jumped back and fourth in the distance, to and fro to a player...from about what appear to be 10k ranged jumps and drops a one hit kill once he was done playing around with the thief teleporting. This is the type of stuff some people want to justify by saying, "it's in the mechanics." I guess when a player flew pass me on his mount and dropped a one hit kill on me without getting off the mount (shroud saved me ‘tho‘), was a mechanic thing too, huh... If that's in the mechanics, then my assessment of GW2 being the worst PvP game ever made is absolutely true! Players who are cheating like that, they aren't all just some hacker because the things they do at times... Man that stuff goes way beyond mere hacking. I know who they are "tho"..... Same thing went down in World of War craft. Just further dig that hole guys.... Folks, I had the pleasure of playing an MMO decades ago that did not have any stats on gear. It was not a click/action tray game. Everything you did was manual control, there was no cool-downs. You had to attack at the right time, dodge at the right time, block at the right time (yes blocking was manual too). That MMO was 100 percent about playing skill! You couldn’t scream mechanics in that one if someone took you out but because there was no cheating and it was all player skill based, most battles were never really one sided. Defeats were only by small margins where someone miss a block here or failed to dodge there and should have attacked more. Heck, there was nothing to even cheat in that game because with no stats on gear, no cool-downs... What are you going to hack? Gear was just fashion in the game I’m referring to. That MMO, WAS PERFECT! Sadly, small company with no real marketing money so the MMO never really spread like it should and then the company decided to sell the servers. SOOOOO many players cried when that MMO ended and rightfully so. To get a taste of true PvP perfection and then have in snatched away.... :(_____________________ I miss my “cutthroat” character...I had the sweetest looking blade in that game. Basically a short-sword/dagger combo weapon that curved like the Soul Reavor from Legacy of Kain. Took out so many players with that thing... SO NO!!!!!!!! No player is just that good in GW2 because every class has a ceiling which is defined by the spec trees and when players go WAY beyond what’s possible in those spec trees, it’s obvious what’s going on. I don’t get it... You would think the Cheaters would get tired of doing it because how fun can it be knowing you’re going to win every encounter, not because you’re great but because you’re cheating. Players like that would be the WORST players in an all non-stat based, all manual based MMO. I have a feeling an MMORPG like the one I experienced will drop again in the far future and man when it does..... I wanna see all GW2 cheaters there because that’s my kind of PvP. :) Forgive “typos”, Peace
  5. Get what you're looking for in PvP/WvW and then get out of it. The only issue is, it takes a long time to get what you want from it so you'll be stuck in it for years...the "Devs" made sure of that..."ArenaNet Babies" gotta have normal players to kill. No MMO ever made has done PvP right but one and that MMO was created by a small company on a small budget, who didn't have the funds to market such a superior MMO and eventually closed it down. It was decades ago and gear didn't have stats, gear was fashion. Controls were more action based, so you had to TRULY have play skills, no click this, click that with "OP" everything. Anyway... GW2 is just more of the same. I don't like the way you're forced to play game modes you don't care for, just to obtain certain items for gear/crafting. World of Wacraft messed up by doing that with Raids, you would think any MMO after that would have known to not do that. I DON'T WANNA DO FRACS OR RAIDS JUST TO ADD ANOTHER INFUSION SLOT TO A PIECE OF GEAR!!!! When will "Devs" learn.... Give gamers what they want and not the way you want it. GW2's the worst PvP MMO ever made! I could literally write out why every class is broken when it comes to PvP but have too much developing to do and not into GW2 like that. I only fire it up when I'm taking a break and bored.
  6. It's alway nice when players admit the truth about a bad class. So many fan boys and "ArenaNet Babies" lying about the game. I don't see how you can be bad in PvE with the Necro 'tho'...it's built for PvE. Necro in WvW doesn't fit because it's not built for PvP. Reaper has the best chance at downing another player, if you can get close enough and not get "CC'ed." Scourge and Core are pathetic in WvW because the skills/traits just can't compete with other classes, especially a class like the Willbender. You can't go Condi as core in WvW because conditions are the weakest thing in WvW and can be cleansed by most classes in a heart beat. So how does power-core Necro stack up in WvW? It's better than Condi but has no high burst damage, so you'll end up doing smaller amounts of damage while a Willbender is taking HUGE chunks of health from you per hit (and Willbender CC is endless). This is what the "Devs" call balance in PvP modes. You have no stability as Core, so get ready to get defeated easily by mostly "CC" keeping you on the ground or not able to do anything. Your traits are not only poor, but the ones that are a little useful, are sitting in the wrong spot/tree. Shroud is weak because the attacks from it are NOT high burst, they focus more on conditions and conditions are the weakest damaging thing in WvW. You have no stability as core when going in Shroud so you can still be "CC'ed" while in it, thus just wasting Shroud...that's how lame the abilities are. You also don't have your right-side action bar while in Shroud and that could have been a major help but the "Devs" really wanted to make the Necro class the "World of Warcraft Warrior Class", which got "nerfed" to a joke in PvP. Staff is useless in WvW...too easy to dodge and does nothing as far as real damage. Why did the "Devs" feel the need to not max a Necros range on everything, I have no idea because given how low damage is on all Necro abilites, why force us to get closer to a Willbender or 'Engi?" Your Elite skills are useless in WvW. Take an Elite skill like Plaguelands... You would think a skill like that could deal high damage if a players stood in it but that's not true. I dropped that skill in WvW and another player saw it and got right in the middle of it just to prove what I already knew.... He took very little damage from an Elite skill that should have had him running away. Plaguelands radius is so little, it's basically non-existent on drop. Lich Elite skill is useless, too slow and does not hit hard enough to scare anybody. Lesser Enfeeble has a radius of 240.... Seriously!? 240!? Non-Existent!! The "Devs" got Speed of Shadows, Soul Marks and Unyielding Blast on the same tree... Of my "gawd!" Marks should be unblockable anyway because they're too easy to dodge! Speed of Shadows should have at least 8 seconds of stability otherwise what's the point in breaking free if you're going to get rooted/pulled/knocked-back/etc right after.... Just brain-dead development! Unyielding Blast doesn't need to be on that tree because it's too valuable when going into Shroud, which has no burst so dropping "vulner" on a player helps. Blood is completely garbage for WvW! That's a whole slot of trees you're getting nothing truly valuable from because Necro's don't get enough healing to add to sustain! Parasitic Contagion does like 5 percent heal of conditional damage... Given the fact as a Necro, you're never going to get that many conditions on a player at one time because one, they're moving fast, and two, they cleanse and have resistance, etc so why in the world would the "Devs" make the healing from that trait 5 percent...? It's basically another useless trait and the Necro class has a lot of poor traits like that, just take a look. You don't have a "Boon Party" like other classes as a Core Necro or Scourge. As soon as a Willbender engage, you'll see a whole line of Boons go up for them and right there, you're dead as a Core Necro because you DON'T have a whole line of Boons going up for you and if you think you're going to turn those boons to conditions, think again, the "Devs" have made that practically impossible will all the low range a Necro has and all the immunity/blocking/resistance/etc they give other classes. It's like the "Devs" made sure when "EOD" came out, Condi Necros were going to be garbage and that's evident because they added everything for other classes to just laugh at conditions. When "Devs" tailor to certain players and their classes while killing others.... That's a red-flag that points out a weak development team, with very little game development logic and creativity. It's like World of Warcraft all over again but WAY WORST!! Scepter, Axe, Focus, Torch.... All damage from these weapons are so low, you'll never beat anyone in WvW as a Power Core Necro (condi as out of the question). Speaking of Power, you can't stack 3k+ power on a Core Necro, you'll barely get close to 2k (without food, utility, etc). It's not hard to see why the Necro Class is the worst and weakest class in WvW and it shows because I see Necros getting slaughter all the time when they try to leave the Zerg alone or roam. Players will literally pull you out of a Zerg because killing Necros has become a sport in WvW now...that's how bad Guildwars 2 PvP is and it will be the reason I finally leave the game in the end. No one should have to build another class or put up with not being able to put up an equal fight in PvP because their class is built to fail. If I knew Necro was that bad when I first bought GW2, I would have never leveled a Necro as my main and that's why it's a slap in the face for every new player picking the Necro because they just don't know what's in-store for them if they get in WvW and they most likely will for the legendaries. You will get Reaper Hackers in WvW because that's the only way you're going to roam with one. I encounter two MAJOR Reaper Hackers once in WvW! One of them had no "CC" cool-downs and could keep you face down on the ground for the entire encounter. The other one was basically in God Mode, you couldn't scratch him; health stayed at 100 percent as he took out 10 players. The funniest part was, the God Mode Hacker ran down another player on a Warclaw, while they were still on feet and the other player had double-dash on the Warclaw. That's impossible but this hacking Reaper turned into the Flash, ran the player down, speared him at close range and drop a one-hit kill. I think the Hacker got mad because he had to run across one-third of the map to get his hack-kill so he went into one-hit-kill-mode. I was following him the whole time, he never saw me and I hit the TP because there was not point in fighting a Hacker. That kind of stuff wouldn't exist if the game was developed correctly on the PvP side of things. Forgive "typos", Peace
  7. Haven't been on in awhile and now that I'm trying to tag a login, the client just freezes now after the last update. "Repairing" does the same thing...dead, no response. No way to login so I'll just use my down-time on another game.
  8. Agree, Reaper and Scourge Shrouds do suck for WvW and no, Core does not suck in PvE. In fact, when doing events and you're traited right with the right skills on the action bar, you can almost stay in Shroud for entire Boss battles unless you start getting hit by the Boss directly, which takes huge chunks of health/shroud away. Since conditions don't really work in WvW, you're better off going power core, which is what I finally upgraded to. The problem is with the Necro class period and one thing you'll notice when going power core is that your power stacking is limited to around 2k, while other classes can make it to 3k. Ranger is fine with 2k power because that class just does high damage up close with the sword, by design. The "Devs" really did turn the Necro class into the World of Warcraft Warrior, making it the easiest class to down. You don't have stability as a core, so the first thing other classes are going to do is pull you to the ground or go for a knock back and since those "CC" abilities on other classes last so long, you're instantly beaten without having a chance to do anything. Throw in long ranged DPS, vanishing, teleporting and classes that can cast immunity to avoid everything, you really are the rabbit of WvW as a Necro. I even had players avoid the life drain while in shroud, which just makes the entire Class look like a five year old drew up the concepts for it. Other players already easily avoid marks and even if you set marks unblockable, they still have no effect on other classes but you have to give up too much to even set marks unblockable, that's how bad the trait tree is built. I just dropped staff entirely when going power core, it's useless anway. It makes no sense Necro, any build, can't have 3 seconds of invulnerability when entering shroud. Adding the break-stun etc trait when going in shroud means nothing because you're going to get hit wiht another "CC", which makes the trait useless, which is even more reason to add 3 seconds of invulnerability when entering shroud. You can still let Shroud take damage because that's not health, so it really only gives a Necro a chance to burst without being "CC" to instant death quickly. Of course, you can't really burst in Shroud because the abilities aren't going to do mega damage and you have no right-side action bar...again, pathetic concept design. That's stuff the "Devs" can fix if they really wanted to balance classes but they apparently don't. Just analyze the Necro's specs and compare them to all other classes... It's not hard to see why it's the Rabbit Class of WvW. If you want to really raise some hell in WvW, then I would suggest going with the 'OP' class, Willbender. Other wise, even as a power core Necro, you're just support for other 'OP' power classes in WvW. If you run into a Hacker or "ArenaNet Baby" forget it, you can't win that one and you'll run into them a lot because it seems like most of the players running around in WvW falls in one of the two groups now. Makes me really wonder just how man normal players are in a WvW map at one time. "ABs" will take away you kills too... Everytime I have a player down and about to finish, an "AB" or Hacker will just appear right behind me from out of nowhere (not a thief) and God Mode it just to keep me from kill their team-mate. It's amazing how many ways those players can futher add to the decline of WvW. It's already a total mess of a game mode. Forgive "typos", Peace
  9. I don't know about the PvP mode but I say stick with it because WvW is not PvP at all. It's player vs "CC" vs high-ranged-dps, vs "OP" classes, vs hackers vs "ArenaNet Babies." I have been playing games since atari and the first white box Nintendo that came with Mario and Duckhunt. I was born a gifted artist and decided to learn programming because I thought it would be cool to bring artwork to life and turned out, coding was my calling. I have always had a high level of creativity and can easily point out the weakness of a game and knew exactly what it needed to be better or if I developed one against it, I could destroy it. Final Fantasy 7 original was one of the greates games ever made. After analysing that game as a developer, it was so cleverly and beautifully done. Square Soft, before they combined with Enix, was a top company back in the days and the "Devs" were on point. Anyway... Out of all my years, I have never seen anything as horrible as the mess in Guildwars 2's WvW and I can only say mess because it's not players fighting players because you're fighting 'blobs' and instant death from blob AOE. The two biggest issues with World of Warcraft, One, the "Devs" stuck the best gear in the game behind 'OP' Raids, which made it impossible to go into PvP on an even playing field gear-wise. The second issue was classes being unbalanced but the class balancing thing was VERY fixable, the "Devs" just never did it. I always knew it was a matter of time before players got tired of trying the impossible Raids and when a "Dev" drop that video of his 5 year old wearing all God Raid gear in PvP (he got for free) destroying players, that was the final blow. I found out about it in-game because the in-game-chat was exploding with anger over it. The video got removed but the damage was done. Players were like, "I spend 10 hours Raiding a day and get nothing to show for it but this brat gets the newest gear that just dropped for free!" "Did you see the video!? The lil f$%&%$ didn't even know what he was doing, just pressing buttons and killing everybody because of the gear!" Fans of "WOW" made excuses by saying, all the players grew up or they got a life. That's the most stupid excuse anyone can drop because you have new generations of gamers coming in as old gamers go out. The new generation gamers just did their homework by looking at all the things players were complaining about and once they got a taste of it, they weren't going to stick around for years like older gamers, they just moved on. Right now, there is no really great mmo that features outstanding pvp. Final Fantasy 14 online may be the best mmorpg, but the pvp is limited, yes FF14 has it, but it's not on a level like World of Warcraft battlegrounds. So until a truly masterful mmorpg comes out with flawless pvp, horrible pvp games like GW2 will look ok....which is to be expected when you don't know what really outstanding would look like. I seen another player flying on their mount in WvW.... I got my character controlled several times now in a week by most likely an "ArenaNet Baby" because I don't think hackers can go that far. Hackers can go in God Mode, walk underground, through walls, fly mounts, etc....but that controlling your character thing, I don't think that's the typical hacker, that's excess to the game...THE GAME ACCESS! Thieves going invisible at will for as long as they want, while walking throug AOE DPS but not getting touched or revealed.... After playing WvW for some years now, that garbage has played out. The huge mess that WvW is has played out. The only objective is the finish the legendary set now. There's zero fun in WvW, there's zero player vs player in WvW. If you're not a hacker or an "ArenaNet Baby", you're a rabbit, peroid! Glass build classes won't even take a scratch. You can barely stay alive on those classes in PvE and we're talking WvW but they somehow become Gods and keep a constant never ending health shield.... RIGHT!! Can't believe I was thinking about dropping 10k in the "cash shop" (buying gold) I don't see myself sticking around for much longer and as a matter of fact, next week my time on will start to decrease a lot until I vanish like an "ArenaNet Baby" deadeye. Peace "Babies" and Hackers you know who you are and the one "ArenaNet Baby" who keep doing the gesturing in WvW, you're wasting your time because you're the worst player in the mode for doing what your doing and the fact you're hiding behind a blob from regular players and got privileges, makes it even more ridiculous. It's like watching the "WOW Dev's" five year old go at it again but this time, he's been cloned into many. That's WvW. PS, "Babies" or Hackers, seriously, stop making 'invul' last 10+ seconds to 2 minutes. That's IS noticeable and points you out really fast, especailly when you dance around in the middle of a Zerg for a minute taking zero damage and then vanish with a class that don't even vanish. Lame.
  10. You know a PvP mode in an mmorpg is bad when you engage an encounter with a group and you end up bouncing around on the ground while being hit for high damage the whole time. Of course, I was a Core Necro, which has no stability but even if you had some, it'll most likely get removed or not work because yes, I've been pulled on Scourge while under the effect of stability. WvW is a mess and instead of the "Devs" admitting that, their just trying to make the mess look like design. Again, had to log out because it wasn't pvp it was player vs 'cc' and player bounce on ground. It's bad enough Core Condi Necro has been reduced to Zerg support and can't roam but toss in no real meaning boons that last worth anything and conditions that don't do anything but tickle other classes, that's nothing to like about it and the only thing that ties you to the mode is the legendaries. You shouldn't have to jump on a Willbender to take out another player or escape from a Zerg, that's garbage. Worst PvP game ever made but hey, at least Arena Net isn't competition for other development companies. Just need one to do it right for once so all other mmos can finally die out.
  11. Is Condi Builds useless? Depends on what you're trying to achieve. If you're trying to roam and wanna take out another player, then yes, Condi Builds are useless because GW2 is sadly, all about power, which leaves no room for identity combat. If you're just going to move with your Zerg and Support, then Condi builds can be greatly useful depending on class/build. For example, a Condi Core Necro can cause skill interrupts, conditions and boon strip from dropping Marks. Core Necro also has the better sustain by going into Shroud, where you can further add condition pressure. This helps power players who are charging on the front lines because enemy players are trying to cast skills but get that interrupt and that's all it takes for your Zerg's front line to get the DPS jump on them. The "Devs" do not respect conditional damage like they do power so as a result, you really won't be killing anyone one on one as a Condi. Too much cleansing and resistance reduce Condi damage to nothing. It's to the point, I see players walking right into conditions and ignoring the damage while they land HUGE power base damage. Seriously... You can drop the Plaguelands Elite skill as a Necro and you'll see enemy players just stand in the middle of it taking no serious damage at all.... FROM AN ELITE SKILL! The "Devs" have killed the Condi Necro class. The only heart beat left in the class is being Zerg support for power players. Other than that, I say get on your Willbender, an "OP" class. Necro is a joke now.... A class that summon minions but in reality, the Necro is a minion class, a minion to serve power players as support. When I finally say good bye to GW2, it'll be for many things but destroying the Necro class will be the number one thing. The "Devs" made a mess and are trying to make the mess look legit.
  12. Don't have a lot of time for this kind of stuff (busy) so just made a quick example..... It's a long staff and by long I mean long like the "Flamewalker" Staff. The staff is burning with fire from bottom to top. The demonic arms and hands are gripping an orb and a ghostly skull can be seen within the orb. Besides the fire shaders, both eyes on the main skull at the top glow and a single eye on the smaller skulls bellow will randomly light up for so long, then go out as another skull's single eye lights up. Cool, right! 😁 This Staff should alter the graphics of your base attack for classes like "Necro" and "Ele", creating a blast that's a blaze of fire instead (like what the Bifrost does with cold). As a bonus, lets have this staff add another shader effect...a "firery" trail as you move, similar to what Scourges do with "Trail of Anguish" or the Bifrost ground effect. We need this.... I need this.... GW2 just doesn't have really great Staff Skins and if your Character has a "Firery" concept, the "Flamewalker" is still the best Staff, which is a shame. I would say 97.9 percent of GW2 Staffs can be deleted. Coming up with this staff only consumed about 1 percent of my creativity. I WILL BUY THIS STAFF IF IT HIT'S THE TP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://i.imgur.com/JdnUNh6.png Wish you could just embed the image on the post. Enjoy! Peace!
  13. Agree. Somebody with some sense. The mode is a Blob Fest Mess and it's due to poor development decisions and classes not being balanced. You have classes pretty much untouchable with a ton of Boons, Invulnerability, Immunity, etc and you have other classes that have none of that like the Necro class, especially Core. Can Core Necro get 10+ seconds of stability please, so we don't get pulled to death everytime? Core doesn't have Boons like Stability, Regeneration, Resistance, Immunity, Invulnerability and the "Devs" won't even provide stability while in Shroud (Core).... Where's the balance? I see Necro being slaughtered all the time now in WvW and it's because the class is the worst, which is because it doesn't generate 10+ meaningful Boons at encounter start. You want us to steal or corrupt Boons with marks? How? Too many are running around with Immunity and Invulnerability, not to mention all the other self generated Boons and if they get shared Boons to create stacks, forget about. Most players are all running the same "OP" classes or a Ranged class, which also makes WvW suck. It's like looking at a bunh of twins running around. It's so bad, a team of three Invulnerability/Immunity classes with one shield/boon generating classes, can take out a team of 10 to 15 players with ease. I've drop this over and over now in the forums and you can't ignore what you experience in WvW everyday. Of course, if you're running an "OP" class, you don't have anything to say about it and would love to see it remain like it is. It's not even PvP... Range DPS, too high... Shared Boons effect, too strong.... And you wonder why players spend most of their time in WvW either running around sideways, backwards or just running away peroid. How can they get close to engage when you have Range DPS killing them the moment they get close? How can anybody be killed in a Blob that has so many stacked shared Boons, they're basically all in God Mode? You got Ranged Players taking away 90 percent of your health in one attack! How is that PvP!? It's too one sided and too fast, and that's why you do nothing but die, 'res', die, 'res', die, 'res', over and over again (WvW). All I see flashing on the screen now is "Invulnerable", "Immune" or "Block, block block...." The really sick part about it is, the best players that take down every other player only do so because they have invulnerability or immunity because they are bad players but because they can't be hit with physical damage or conditions, they are automatically the best. The only other best players are the Hackers. Like yesterday, a Ranger was rapid firing at a distance of at least 10k. I mean you could barely see him in the distance he was so far away...practically on the other side of EBG while you were on the opposite side and he was still able to strike my character. The Hackers are only making what's a mess even worst. Worst concept for players vs player ever made! I don't care what they (Devs) add to the game mode, Alliances or what ever, it's still going to be the same old broken unbalanced concept mess. When will the "Devs" wake up and realize, you have a condition build for a Necro and they do because Curses and Scepter are two things that make that obvious but yet conditions can't deal any real damage like power because of the "Boon" party that's going on in WvW. Again... How is that fair or balanced for those playing Necro and I see a lot of new players coming to the game and picking Necro for main, but they're going to be sorry when they get into WvW and realize, the class is only ok in PvE; it's not built for WvW like other classes. Not even talking about the new "EOD" Necro because that Spec is literally a 'self kill' Elite Spec. The Necro kills itself anyway because we got a heal skill that adds negative boons to us, just one example....but yet, other classes are the ones running around with Invulnerability and Immunity to everything.... Wow... Why is it when Necro fills the Life Force Bar in WvW, it will automatically drop down to like 70 percent? You mean to tell me, we can't even go into a battle with 100 percent of our Life Force...? Stuff like that make it completely obvious the "Devs" destroyed the Necro class on purpose. Necro is the target dummy class of WvW! If a Necro could do what a Willbender could in terms of Boons with Stability and conditional damage getting an upgrade to make up for the "Boon Party", Necro could then truly complete with any other class except thief and maybe have issues with Range players (because Core Necro doesn't have any real speed). Hey, just give us the right side of our action tray when we go into Shroud....closing that part of our actions is a major handi-cap. Like I stated, a practice dummy class. Core Shroud does not do high DPS because it's based on conditions which can be cleasned and other abilities like Fear never land because of Immunity and Invulnerabilty. The "Devs" don't know what they're doing.... They're just tossing in anything and "Nerfing" classes as other players call it. It's clear they don't have the creativity smarts to balance anything. I think I'll be moving back to World of Warcraft later this year. The battlegrounds there were at least fun because there was no Blob mess going on and the classes were more balanced than GW2's classes. I just don't care for the whole raiding for gear thing but you can just do PvP in "WOW" and get pretty good pre-raid gear. All MMORPGS suck at this point but GW2 just takes the cake. Forgive "typos" Peace
  14. And what this failed to mention was, Core Necros have no stability when in shroud so enemies can simply knock, pull, root, fear, etc you do death and with all the Boons none Necro classes generate, you conditions are going to do the minimum in damage, which is a scratch at best. Stop trying to make the class same good when it's the World of Warcraft Warrior Class of "GW2."
  15. The Necromancer concept is dead because too many classes have something like the 'Necro' class. Look at the new "EOD" thief... They have a shroud... Really.... Just turn them into a thief/necro, huh... I don't agree with giving the new 'EOD' 'Necro' a gun; it just doesn't fit. There's other major issues as well, like the 'Necro' not being able to do any real conditional damage in modes like WvW because Curses and Scepter are basically for that. There's no 'Necro' in Necromancer in GW2 and the class is dead in WvW. It's crazy to see every developer of an MMO making the same mistakes and that's basically killing their own works.
  16. So there I was in WvW on my Willbender because "Necro" is officially dead; that class can not compete with all the 'Boon Party' classes. Just playing around on my Willbender proves that because I was able to get into the middle of a large Zerg and fight out and escape multiple times. That's not possible on any Necro Meta Build and what backs up that claim is the fact, you don't see too many players running a Neco anymore in WvW. Just pay attention to the classes people are on... It's all the classes that generate crazy Boons, Invulnerability, Teleports, Shadow-Steps, Ranged and disappearing. The Necro class is now the World of Warcraft Warrior of GW2 and folks.... Just be honest for once in your lives. You don't see 10+ Boons on a Necro that were generated by a Necro and that alone puts that class, which is already slow and easy to 'CC', at a total disadvantage against all 'Boon Party' Classes. Anyway, that's not what I wanted to mention here (mainly).... Players were complaining about how WvW was. Die, 'res', Die, 'res', Die, 'res', over and over again and those are not my words. It's like that for a reason and it's not hard to see why. Even with the game having bad concepts throughout, WvW could be pretty amazing if just THREE changes were made. One.... Boons shared effect needs to be greatly reduced. I'm not talking about self Boons, I'm referring to when Boons get onto teammates. That shared effect needs to be tiny. Why? Because when you have 30+ players all giving shared Boons, that tiny share will turn into a decent size share that will empower a 'Zerg' without making it overpowered but as it stands, Zergs are overpowered because you have so many FULL shared effect Boons going off at once. Two.... Reduce ranged damage to smaller damage, much like "Condi" 'DOT." I know ranged players are going to blow a fuse over this one but you're blowing that fuse for nothing. There is no reason why Rangers, 'Eng', Mesmers, etc need to do so much damage in the far distance, when these classes are capable of 'throwing down' up close and personal. I know this for a fact! My Ranger in PvE shocked me when I finally stop using range so much and got close and personal. They are one of the more powerful up close DPS classes in the game. The same thing can be said for the 'Eng' so why give these classes an easy win in the distance? This is one of the reasons Zergs are also so overpowered because all their ranged players are doing so much damage as you try to approach a Zerg or as the Zerg comes to you, the 'lawnmower' effect happens, which is when one Zerg gets cut down like a lawnmower going over grass and this happens over and over and over and it's just a bore. There is no real PvP to be had with that kind of design. This is why ranged DPS needs to be dropped down in WvW only, making those players engage another player up close. When you add in the fact players seem to have super speed all the time... If they can high DPS in the distance all day with super speed, you can forget it. You'll be dead after your first three steps towards them. That is BAD design for PvP. Ranged damage should be doing like, 100, 250, 97 and sometimes 1k+, which is pretty much how "Condi" damage is reduced. It's easy to run in the distance all day but truly takes strategy to engage; I won't say skills because it's a push/click action MMO that's based on stats on gear. There was only one MMO made that was truly based on skills and gear did NOT have stats at all. Three.... "CC"...... When you have a 30, 40+ man Zerg and each player has two or three "CC" abilities.... That's WAY too much "CC!" I really only see two options.... 'A', make "CC" only work against NPCs (tower/keep guards, etc) and not against other Human players. 'B', allow everybody to only equip one "CC" ability or if it's a "CC" by trait, then equip none. Why do this? Because Zergs will burn through "CC" faster, which will allow players who didn't get "CC'ed" to charge forward and stand tall, granted change One and Two are implemented as well. These three changes would just allow players to go at it longer without dying in a heart beat and resurrecting all the time, just to run back and get cut down again in the blink of an eye. For those of you who ran Alterac Valley in World of Warcraft....be honest... That was FUUUNNNN wasn't it, Baby! 😄 What's the difference? Well, you didn't have a 'Boon Party' going on. You didn't have a planet load of "CC" going on. You didn't have Zergs going on. You went down swinging in "WOW", none of this several players "CC'ing" you so hard you can't move or get up from the ground stuff. You didn't really get 'ganked' in "WOW" battlegrounds, not to the extend of what you see in GW2. If the "Devs" would just make the three changes and run it for a week in a beta, I bet my "zonkey" players would NOT want to go back! You'll be having too much what I like to call, Royal Rumble "throw down" fun! Those suggested changes are fair, because no class isn't going to lose anything because if you think Ranged classes can't deal close up DPS, think again. They just don't because they don't want to risk it and why should they when they can blow you up in the distance. Personally, in all my years of developing... I could have never come up with the current concepts that exist in GW2 (my creativity won‘t let me, it‘s too high), especially in WvW because they (concepts) just have too many issues but hey...not going to press that, but something really needs to be done about the current WvW. It’s absolutely too chaotic and more about quick deaths than PvP and by pvp, I mean player vs player and not the other PvP mode. Players are complaining, they just don't go to the forums with it and the "Devs" are probably never going to consider the feedback anyway. If I'm being honest, all the WvW I did today, I was not having fun at all. I was just there to get the claim tickets and memories of battles. You can’t have much fun with the current structure and if players think they were having fun...let those three suggestions happen and you’ll probably be so addicted to WvW, you’ll need MMO rehab to get off it. Done with that... Seriously though... The Necro class needs Boons too man...it's only right and I'm talking about Reaper and Core mostly but all build types need more Boons to complete and the traits need to be re-slotted in order to be more effective and all marks need to be unblockable because they can easily be dodged, Necros shouldn't have to trait for that. More stun break needs to be added to tray abilities too. My Willbender can trigger protection with other Boons and the same abilities also allow for stun breaks. That's insane when it comes to class treatment. It's like the Necro was purposely reduced to failure and given how many players keep pushing for more "Nerfing" although I don't know what's left to "Nerf" on a class that doesn't generate any real meaningful Boons, yeah.... Necromancer is truly the "WOW" Warrior and other classes know it, which is why the first thing they do is pull the Necro to them because they know the class has no "Boon Party" and they know the class can't escape from battle. Easy win every time. I would say the Reaper can put up the best fight up close but the lack in Boons will ultimately lead to defeat. You can’t “Condi” with Necro even though Curses and Scepter are for that because conditions are reduced to nothing in WvW so you’ll do no real damage. Scourge, the Shroud shielding don’t help because DPS is too fast and furious and the cool-down on Desert Shroud is way too long, plus again, any conditions spread from it won’t do much in WvW. It’s not hard to see why it’s a dead class if you’re being honest and if you’re not being honest, you probably just want to see it even “deader.” . Final contemplation.... The “Devs” really need to do something about players who run around with Invulnerability lasting more than 10 seconds. That’s God Mode. They are so bold with it, they like to dance around in front of you for 10 seconds while you do zero everything to them and then run off with super speed and still have Invulnerability up. Makes no sense what so ever in what’s supposed to be PvP, not player vs ghost player. A three man team of Invulnerability players can wipe out a 10 man Zerg that don’t have it. That's how ridiculous it is. Forgive "typos", (I really gotta stop typing with the lights off, bad for the eyes) Peace
  17. There are clearly some bad players in GW2, even 'tho' they're the ones on 'OP' classes. There is nothing 'OP' about Necro, it's one of the worst classes in the game. Today, I noticed core shroud doesn't last as long, not even close and condi damage is down. So either something happened in updates or some "ArenaNet Baby" is having a swing at my account. As for you bad players, just "CC" a Necro because whe have no real stability. Reaper has a small amount in shroud from skill 2 I believe and Scourge has trail of angish err something like that. Core has NONE! That's the number one killer of core Necros in WvW! You can just pull one to the ground and the forward pulls cause you to lay for 10 seconds...more than enough time to kill off any Necro. Skills like that are "OP" and need to be removed from WvW, period! All the "CC" and shared Boons is a huge part in why WvW plays so poorly pvp wise. You can't even play healer support as a Necro Scourge in WvW because the "Devs" decreased the number of targets. Really.... What was the purpose of that!? That was a senseless, brain dead change/reduction that shouldn't have happened. You know.... That's what happened to the Warrior class in World of Warcraft. Bad players in pvp wanted an easy win against the class and like fools, the "Devs" gave it to them. Know what happened? The Warrior was "nerfed" so much, no one wanted that class in their dungeon or Raid groups and you got kicked! The "Devs" basically made one of their own classes useless and a freaking joke and that's the same thing that's going to happen to the Necro class and when it does, I hope all those who favor that class as main just leave the game. The developers should be trying to balance and remove some of the "CC" and shared Boons from modes like WvW, not tailoring to bad players needs. I see classes in WvW walking around immune to all damage (I still can't find that ability on any class). Can the Necro get that? The thief can drop conditional damage every time they vanish, can the Necro get that? Mesmers and Rangers don't even have to get close to get a kill, can the Necro get ranged condi DPS like that? Please! ....... Other classes have it made compared to the slow, limited stability Necro class. What's extra sad about it is the fact, specializations like curses and weapons like septer are designed for a Condi build. Why give the Necro those things when you know conditions are cleansed so much and other classes have all these Boons to lower the condi damage to nothing? You can clearly see the developers DO NOT know what they're doing! They're contradicting their own works! Ridiculous! Well of Power has 1 second of stability.... For "Gawd" sakes, just delete Well of Power! One second.... You call that stability... ONE SECOND!!!!! Toss in the fact Necro has too much cast time and you got yourself a real freaking treat here folks because Necro's own abilities kill them. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Necro needs to be "nerfed"..... Wow....... How pathetic can you get. Condi Necro builds in WvW are just support. You can't kill anyone as Condi because condi builds don't exists. Too much cleansing and resistance in the game now. The "Devs" just get worst and worst with every new bad idea they put into the game and now it looks like core Necro shroud only last about as long as Reaper's. So basically, you don't have much of a change now as a Necro in WvW because these power builds do too much damage per hit and as a Necro, you're weakest while not in shroud. Way to go "Devs"..... Just delete the Necro class from the game now because you're well on your way to doing that. I'll rather see it deleted than get kicked from a squad in WvW because the class became the World of Warcraft warrior. By the way, that's one of the biggest reason why I stopped playing World of Warcraft. I put too much work in my Warrior and the "Devs" just turned it into puppy chow. That's fine... It stopped money from leaving my credit card too. I was so happy to see players finally wake up and walk away from that horrible MMORPG. Funny stating that 'tho' because.... GW2 has "WOW" beat in the horrible pvp department. "Typos" suck, Peace
  18. WvW is boring because it's messed up and I only run it because of Legendaries. The classes are horrible and all over the place. For instance... Players swear there's a such thing as a "condi" build but it's not. The "Devs" made sure of that when they added all the so called "CC" and conditional damage resistance, which you see more of in "EOD" Elite Specs. Consider this... A Daredevil (thief) removes conditions every time he/she does a stealth. If you're a "condi" core Necro and stacking conditional damage, how do you beat the thief one on one if you're conditions are removed every time the thief vanish and given 99% of those who play thief are using hacks that allow them to vanish as many times as needed, your conditions are never going to do any damage what so ever. That's how brain dead the development is. Consider this... Precision can actually increase conditional damage (Necro) but in order to get it with the condition attribute, you'll have to drop vitality. Here's the thing with that... Your Life Force Pool is tied to your vitality! Wow.... Just, Wow.... So that defeats the purpose of that option. The Boons are so out of hand, you can have a 2.5k conditional damage attribute and still see ticks on screen of 97 damage per tick. .................................... Utter disgrace! Conditional damage builds do NOT exists, you can only build with power. I have noticed this "tho".... Non-Necro classes do more damage with their conditions and with a lower conditional attribute and don’t give me that “spec” tree ‘garb’ because that’s not it, it’s just the way the “Devs” set it. It's bad enough the "CC" is out of hand but why do you have to allow a player to not only pull another player forward and to the ground, but have the "CC'ed" player lay there for almost ten seconds.... You're creating an easy win with just one "CC" ability. World of Warcaft was not as bad as GW2 in the PvP department. The real reason so many players left "WOW" is because they got tired of doing impossible Raids for the best gear in the game. Sure the classes were unbalance but nothing remotely close to the level of GW2's entire Player vs Player concept and design. To say it's all ridiculous is an understatement. So yeah, players are going to get bored of Zergs "CC'ing" them to the point they can't move or do anything but watch their character get raped. At least you could go down fighting in World of Warcraft, you don't even have that honor with GW2' pile of chaotic concepts. Seriously, if I didn't have to do WvW, PvP, Raids and 'Fracs' to get Legendary gear, I would have never touched WvW or at least left and never looked back once I saw how bad is was. Players doing crazy damage way in the distance.... They don’t even have to bother with anyone, just blow them up in the distance with a rapid fire, all while watching a pet or clone gnaw on their ‘grits.’ Core Necros going into Shroud with no stability so they instantly get pulled forward to the ground where they’ll lay for 10 seconds, while watching their Shroud get wasted. “Gawd”..... Just zero balance on everything! Why do Necros have so much cast time!? Every ability seems like it has to blink several times before it actually activates. That much time can make the difference between dying and living in WvW. That life drain while in Shroud...an absolute joke because it doesn’t even scratch most players. Why give one class so many dead-end abilities.... I hate the fact “Eles” have that enormous cast time when dropping that meteor shower attack and they have to not be moving. That’s garbage! That cast should be instant and they should be able to do it on the move, given how fragile that class can be (PvE that is; they can‘t be killed in WvW somehow). Why are the Necro marks so visible, making them easy to dodge? Most physical attack abilities by power players are instant and will not show anything on screen, indicating where. It’s like the “Devs” said, ok...we go make it easy for every class to take down the Necro by making the whole staff weapon useless because the Marks can be seen and blocked or dodged, all while eating a big mack and drinking coffee. Of course WvW is going to get boring but hey, the hackers are having fun.... The “ArenaNet Babies” are having fun... The “Devs” are still getting paid.... ArenaNet is still making cold hard cash.... Fan Boys and Fan Girls are still denying everything wrong with the game.... Doesn’t take long before you get bored with it all. Peace and forgive “typos”, not proof reading this.
  19. I've been saying it forever now.... The "devs" messed up conditional damage by having so much cleansing and reduction boons. I have a meta build core Necro that has high conditional damage and players on average receive less than 500 per tick in damage (while they're dropping thousands in power). You're not going to take down anyone like that. Condi builds only do high damage in PvE because enemies in PvE don't have all the excessive abilities that make conditions useless. This is why GW2 is the worst PvP game ever made. Right now, I'm only legendary farming in WvW, which is why I haven't changed my build but I will eventually move on from pure condi to something else, obviously the something else has to be based on power, that's how one-way-tracked the game is as far as builds and attributes go in player vs player. The question is, how do a core Necro build with power? Reaper is the best power option....again, you can see how bad the "Devs" are with game design concepts. I don't like Reaper because it has poor sustain! Am I forced to play it because pure condi builds don't work? That's how you drop "fun factor" down to zero. The fastest fix would be to just simply respect the condition attribute. If a player is stacking all conditional damage and achieve 1600 + on their attribute, there's no reason why the damage per tick can't average 3k. You can't stack high power if you're stacking high conditions so if somebody's condition attribute is like 1400 and less, then treat it the same way it's treated now...useless. Power players will argue against this because they wanna continue to rule but there's no argument because you can still cleanse conditions....you can't cleanse power damage. It's a ridiculous design flaw... Even in PvE, if I'm in Drizzlewood fight a mob and doing a total of 8k damage per second, it will take me a few seconds to take down the mob (20 secs give or take). A power player can fight the same mob and take them down in less than 5 seconds, sometimes one-hit-killing. Were's the balance in that? "Gawd"....will the world ever get a Company that will do it right.... It sucks.
  20. Catalyst is awful! I'm talking PvE because WvW is otta the question given how "squishy" the class is in PvE. You can't stay alive, period! I don't understand why developers always use the same old stuff from other MMORPGs. It's like the Mage on World of Warcraft... Get to the Mage, you can take it out in one or two hits, don't get to it you're dead. When staying alive is that intense, it takes away from everything else. You can't even concentrate on combat from fear of dying. I find myself attuning to water just to keep standing, which kills DPS and even then, I barely survive at times. I'm thinking about dropping the "Celes" build and go Vit, Toughness and Power. The class is ridiculous....really, I thought nothing could be worst than Core and Scouge Necro in WvW (not pve) but "Eles" are far the worst when it comes to sustain. That's how I know all the "Eles" in WvW that constantly heal up while taking huge amounts of damage and even gain the yellow extra health bar from super self heals... ARE HACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. The thing about the WvW estimates is the fact, you can't really say 22 weeks because you have to consider the amount of time a person actually plays the game overall in WvW. If you're on every day of your life for hours because you have nothing else to do in real life, then I don't having anything to say about the 22 weeks. However, if you have a life outside of GW2 and only put random hours in on random days, it's going to take a lot longer than 22 weeks because the amount of claim tickets you get...it's really small and if you're going for the Mistborn set... Man.... You're looking at like, two years, give or take. That's the cold hard truth. Anything else is just sugar coating it.
  22. I'm actually playing GW2 way less now and pretty sure at some point this year, I'll be totally gone. WvW was the only thing keeping me in the game and that's saying a lot given how unbalanced the classes are but when you allow Hackers to have free happy-go-lucky fun at the expense of non-hacking players, you have a game mode that has ZERO "fun factor." The sad truth is, given how Hackers are doing it now, the "Devs" can't stop it. I've been to forums where players were using Hacks that could get their account banned and I thought such Hacks were the only ones used but when I came across a Hacker selling a decryption based, memory changing tool.... I knew then the Hacking would never stop because there's no way to stop direct decrytion of the GGI unless you implement such defense while developing the entire game. As a programmer/web developer/graphics artis, the logic behind making any mmorpg unhackable is not hard to understand. In fact, it's a simple job but A LOT of work and can't be done later. Guildwars 2 was NOT developed with such hacking in mind and therefore has no defense against it. You really only have two options now..... Find a Hacker selling the undetectable tool and hack yourself, or find a new mmorpg, peroid! The "Devs" number one job is to keep the servers buzzing and as long as they're doing that, they're never going to care about anything else. Take a Core Condi Necro for example... All the following things make such a class and build pathetic in WvW.... - Conditions can easily be cleansed and they are the primary way you deal damage as a Condi. - When entering Shroud, you lose your right side action tray abilites, which puts you at a huge disadvantage because you don't have extreme DPS Shroud actions. - Necro's have too much cast time and not enough instant cast abilities. - Necros have no stability unless you run Scourge and cast Trail of Anguish but it will most likely get stripped. - Necros do NOT generate meaningful Boons to help them sustain like other classes do. No Resistance, no alacrity, no regeneration. The Boons you do have, are placed wrong on the spec tree so you're most likely not going to spec to use them. - Necros Marks are practically useless; too easy to dodge, poor "CC" and do practically ZERO damage. This makes the Staff a wasted weapon of choice. - Necros have useless specs; what's the point of having conditional damage convert to healing if the healing is so tiny, it has ZERO effect? You call that a helpful spec!? - Horrible Elite Skills; The best Elite skills Necros have are too stationary and too small in area of effect. You can add cast time to that as well. Just pathetic. Lich Form is a joke; slow, crazy long cast time and will get you killed. - Necros are missing abilities where they should be; example... When entering Shroud, Necros should instantly get at least 10 seconds of stability because what's the point in entering Shroud if you're spending that whole time in it, on the ground, rooted, dazed, lauched, knocked-backed, etc etc? So basically you're weak out of Shroud and when you go in Shroud, you're still weak.... Wow.... That's what I'm talking about folks.... "Gawd" knows if I was the developer of GW2, it would not only be unhackable, but you would have 99.9 percent perfect class balance. Know why? Because I wouldn't just come up with an ability, Boon, etc for a class without having a real answer for it on all other classes. I wouldn't give a class this and that, without giving another class something similar to serve as a counter. GW2 "Devs" are just "Devs" and you need more than that if you want to truly create great games of any genre. I've always said, anyone can make a game but it doesn't mean you're going to be good at it. Too many Boons in WvW (which is why we have Blobs), too much "CC" going on, too much high Ranged DPS, which is not really fair at all because a player gets to sit in the distance and get their kills.... Who are the people behind such brain dead concepts!? Ranged attacks should have been "CC" and small "DOTs." All players should have been required to do their highest damage up close and personal because it's PvP, not player versus flying arrow coming from a million miles to do 30k Hacker damage! There's no excuse for the pathetic class balance in GW2 and really no excuse for all the hacking other than the fact the game was not developed with true decryption anti-hack security. Do me a favor folks.... If you don't have a thief, make one and get it to 80. Unlock all the Elite Specs. Look at all the traits you have, particularly the ones that make you go invisible. You'll notice that in PvE, the time you say vanished isn't that long. Most abilites give like 3 seconds.... Now, go in WvW with that thief and look at the traits again.... You'll notice that WvW reduce that small time down to like 2 or 1 second of invisiblity. Notice how when you use Shelter, you can see the house looking thing on screen.... Other players can see that too but here's the thing with Hackers.... When they use Shelter, you won't see anything on screen. When Hackers use any ability that provides invisibility, they stay invisible until they're ready to show themselves. You only have so many abilites that vanish you but Hackers constantly go in and out of vanishing. They do this all the time right in players face but yet, other players act like it's a normal thief thing. IT IS NOT NORMAL!!!! That's the worst thing you can do, accept hacking as normal! Instead, record it and post it in the forums and rant rant rant! Let the "Devs" know, if changes aren't made, you're moving on. You're the Boss and you can fire ArenaNet by simple spending your money elsewhere. Forgive "typos." Peace.
  23. I noticed how Necro doesn't have Alacrity a long time ago, which would help because the class is slow. GW2 is really a poor PvP developed game...the classes are all unbalanced. The Necro is the worst... Consider this, when going into Shroud as a core, the right side of your action tray is hidden. That not only greatly weaken the class in PvP/WvW, but makes no sense what so ever because you're not outputting super damage while in Shroud and being able to use abilities on the right side of the action tray would have made being in Shroud a lot more meaningful in terms of staying alive, especially with no real Boons. The Necro has no real stability other than the stability you get from Trail of Anguish running a Scourge, which can be stripped by other classes and thus defeats the purpose. Scouge sucks because it has no sustain and going into Shroud doesn't do anything much. I see players standing in Scourge Shroud Bursts all the time...doesn't even scratch them. Core is about the best when it comes to WvW/PvP because Reaper's Shroud is too short. Reaper Shroud short duration would work if damage did not drain it also. Just poor decisions by the developers is why players are hacking like crazy now in WvW. That increased Boon power hack looks cool as heck because as soon as a hacker get the Regeneration Boon, their health goes flying up to full and then turn into extra health (yellow health bar). You can even look up how much Regeneration does online and you'll find out, the value on it is too small to cause that kind of full healing, even if you had it stacked. It's hacks! Glass build meta classes like Deadeye and Mesmers use it all the time. Entire Zergs can't kill these players who use it. I have a Deadeye and I have a Mesmer and know for fact, they don't output Boon power that high, no class does. Poor development leads to players hacking, peroid! Why allow high ranged DPS? If anything was going to be "CC", it should have been ranged attacks but instead, the "Devs" turn Necro marks into poor "CC", which players can easily just roll through or send their pets through it. That decision alone makes the staff practically useless. The Necro class doesn't generate a ton of Boons like other class and it's a slow class, not just in foot speed but in ability cast time as well. What's the point in going Condi with a Necro if other classes can just cleanse the conditions with ease? By concept, the Necro should have been the one class who's conditions can't be cleasned, which would really put the "Necro" in Necromancer but the "Devs" aren't creative nor smart like that. I don't care who gets mad, GW2 has brain dead, uncreative development and I don't see myself continuing with the game because WvW/PvP is not fun due to the poor class balance but the Hackers just put the cherry on top for worst PvP game ever made. There's no point in playing a mmorpg that's so messed up in so many ways. It's a double time waster that only someone with no life at all would care about continuing. If you continue with the game and PvP/WvW then I suggest you get what ever hack setup so many are using because it gets old always watching enemy players absorb all your damage while dealing God damage. It has nothing to do with skill because GW2 is a click action based MMO like World of Warcraft and a lot of others. It has nothing to do with gear because legendary gear is only slightly better than ascension gear. So if these players aren't wearing some new kind of God gear, then how are they absorbing all damage and striking for one hit kills? That's the sickess part about it.... These players want to play on your intelligence by having you believe they're just that good but only an idiot wouldn't understand, you can't be better than what's hard-coded into the game and since every player has access to the same game material, that only leaves one other explanation.... HACKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or it could be "Anet/ArenaNet Babies".....that's what I like to call them. They would have the same power as the hackers and then some. I have faith the world will one day see all games developed right, with creativity and true intelligence. Word.
  24. Some players are beyond me... There I was in Eternal roaming, when I came across a teammate facing a Hacker. How did I know it was a Hacker. I have a thief... Played every build and Spec; in fact, have done that for all classes/races and when you've done that, it's not hard to spot something you know a class does not do. This Hacker thief went beyond the no cool down vanishing. He was using the new hack I keep seeing a lot now, which makes a character....how should I put this.... "Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink!!!!!!" That's what they do, they constantly blink without stopping and do it so fast, you see two of them, sometimes three and no, it's NOT a mesmer, this was a deadeye! So I click on my teammate's health and saw that he was below half way and the Hacker wasn't taking a scratch. It was the perfect catch... That's what a lot of Hackers like doing, catch you roaming with no one around and go to Hack-Town on you! So I jump in the battle, expecting the hacker to take us both out since I was not on my Core set up and was running Scourge, which has no sustain and the "Devs" know this. The Hacker was blinking and moving so fast, there was only one chance to stop him and I had to do it while my teammate was still able to drop some DPS, since I was pure Condi. So I spammed the marks causing interrupts, exploded the Shroud, hit the trail for stability and conditional damage to help out the weak marks (Devs fault), hit spectral for life force gain. Switch weapons, got speed and healing from the swarm, BOOM, dropped shroud again and that Hacker was finally on the ground reaching up as he took his last breath. I didn't even do a finishing move because I get more pleasure out of just watching a Hacker slowly push up daisies. Apparently all the conditions, boon stripping and interrupts proved too much that time but here's what gets me... Instead of my teammate thanking me for helping him drop that Hacker, because nothing hurts a hacker more than cheating and still losing, my boy got mad at me! Seriously! My own teammate called ME A HACKER! I was thinking, OMG are you kidding me! He went on to rant but I was leaving and not reading his madness on screen. Because of that backlash for killing a Hacker, I will not stop to help out another teammate when I can clearly see they're facing a Hacker. Thieves don't "Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink Blink !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It's HACKING! A clear case of blatant cheating! What the teammate don’t understand is, he was lucky...because some hackers will go into God Mode and stop taking damage altogether and it doesn’t matter what class/build they are. Hell, I seen a mesmer who had all his clones spinning around him like a cyclone, at extreme movement speed all while blinking, so clearly this blink thing is a hack that can be applied to different classes and builds regardless. I see Hackers still using the damage to heath hack a lot. That’s when an entire Zerg can’t kill a players because all the damage they do turns to health and the extra health from all the damage just turns into another health bar (yellow shield bar from extra health). I know what they’re doing there... It’s the Boons... They have their Boons jacked up because the moment they get a regeneration Boon, their health fly up all the way to full. They get every single Boon you can get at one time, with extreme effect and that turns them into running Gods no Zerg can take down. In fact, the only time they die is like when a Zerg is REALY BIG and they're all casting some kind of Boon strips.... Yeah, you can see how that would do it. I don’t think players bother reporting it because they know it can’t be stopped by now, which is true, they’re using decryption of the CGI. I bet the one Hacker I came across online selling his/her cheat tool are making a killing in USD because it’s a undetectable decryption based hack tool. I assume that’s what these Hackers are using because they’re not just doing basic hacks, they are clearly altering memory to do exactly what they want. Anyways, no more saving anyone from a Hacker for me, lesson learned.
  25. I've noticed all damage on my account has drop to nothing and I know why it was done. In my case, there's nothing to do but stop playing the game so 2022 will most likely be it for me. The "devs" don't like reproach and you'll pay for it. I really wish I could get all my money back that was pumped into the game over the years.
