  1. I see your untamed miasma hate, and raise you Catalyst F skills which summon GIANT celestial creatures that do basically 50 dmg.
  2. Hammer has flip skills, but especially for the non-untamed out there, you have to pick one or the other. Namely for PvP settings you're gonna pick normal 3 and 4, and unleashed 2, with 5 being kinda preferential. The reason why is because normal 3 is your CC - land this and you're winning! Unleashed 2 is your damage that wants to follow up on someone being CC'd. And then to land your CC you want to immob them with normal 4, which also gives you prot for some staying power in the fight. 5 is a ranged CC or damage skill, both are solid. Meanwhile we have Maces. You have the 2 which is kinda meh but ok. With 3 you get a leap with a stun that also heals your pet and gives protection! Which has better range than hammer 3 and its superior CC since stun > daze. Your 4 is GOATED you have a skill that gives stab, does dmg, gives barrier, and removes up to 3 condis - just insane. 5 is a damage skill that ALSO has a CC at the end. Then to add to that! You can RESET all the mace skills with Force of Nature that ALSO gives you +15% bonus dmg AND stability so you can go ham on the bonus round! So then... this has me wondering? Isn't mace just pretty much all around better than hammer? The answer I think is yes. Which begs the question, why did we get a new weapon set that has the same identity as the old one? And how can these be differentiated moving forward?

  4. Lyhr was working where if you healed someone and kept healing them then it reset lyhr. If Lyhr happened to fall off due to a tether break from distance or from not healing that person within the 5s window then you couldn't reapply it for 10s. It was THE most interesting change to support this game has ever had available. It's a pretty wild Relic because when you're tethered to someone you take 50% of the power damage that they are taking. High risk deserves high reward. You can also tether up to 4 people which means if you use it poorly and your team eats an AoE you just get 1 shot. This REALLY helped builds like support soulbeast arrive on the scene. Staff's small heals allowed it to keep Lyhr up on targets and allowed for a totally unique support role experience. Haters can hate, but until support chrono spawned into being, support soulbeast was arguably a VERY competitive support spec, if not the best support spec. However, the nerf hammer came. Removal of Shared Anguish (no more stab on pet swap) meant support soulbeast got hit rather hard. Fair nerf though, stupid trait design. More importantly the Lyhr change: Lyhr is now whenever you heal ANY ally ALL allies in range get tethered? WHAT? WHY? If I'm healing one guy in front of me why am I getting tethered to the guy 600 units behind me im not healing? Doesn't make any sense. Moreover, you can't keep Lyhr up on a target anymore. It applies for 5s, falls off, and can't be reapplied for 10s. Why? This just changed the Relic from being a very interesting support option to becoming a suicide Relic you have virtually no control over. It's not even IN THE PATCH NOTES!?

  6. Somewhat just a meme. Anet doesn't balance based on feedback. But guardian is the only class with an instant cast teleport that goes through LoS (besides thief but I think that's fine for thief). Merciful intervention is probably fine.

  8. It does. Your pet's beast skill could be using it before you use spiritual retrieve. It will also not add to the number of spiritual reprieve but instead be its own separate number.
  9. PvP, you have to do it like really fast if I recall correctly. It might have to be frame perfect to get the smoke field visual but not the combo field. Regardless, the condi thing is annoying.
  10. Example 1: You throw down a smoke field, you swap pets too soon, you try and combo in the visible smoke field.... but it doesn't combo! Why? Because even after 10 years, pet skills don't exist when the pet swaps out! Example 2: Your chad Iboga just hit someone with 9 stacks of confusion!? but you swapped it out? Now those confusion stacks do 0 dmg! (Happens for any condis applied by pets) Example 3: Your drakehound immob'd someone? But you swapped them out? Now your foe gets to run around with an immob debuff on their bar because that immob's effects stopped existing when your drakehound did! So dumb. Change this.

  12. Warhorn should not cast birds at 60% of the way through the cast. It makes it very hard to dodge. Pig maul should not do 5 digits of damage.

  14. Untamed beats cata. WTF are people talking about!? The patch has been out for like 2 hours. Y'all just jumping to conclusions. Sig cata wasn't even that good prepatch, and it got nerfed. Chill out lmao.

They're bugged/poor design The Phoenix has the stats swapped which is why its so squishy, compare to other pets with similar stats and you'll see the vitality is swapped with another stat (I forget which). As for the other pets. Wallow, Siege Turtle, and still Phoenix, these pets are all getting the wrong skills when merged with Soulbeast. On every other pet when you pull up the pet menu, you get access to their 2nd and 3rd skills (the 4th is F2 unmerged and the 1st is their "autoattack". What is happening is they're either bugged or someone was like lets be fun! and have siege turtle autos be in the merge soulbeast kit and it affected the other two new pets. Wallow should give you Maul, Siege Turtle should give you the AoE CC instead of the kitten autos. Phoenix should give you the rush skill. White Tiger is fine (likely cause it was built from an existing feline model) HOWEVER the F2 design is garbage since it can't even hit anything that moves. I have brought it up many times over the year since EoD came out and nothing has changed.

  18. Totally viable. Maybe not as good as some other stuff, but this can definitely work. I recommend Air Runes on BM/Marks builds because the CC synergizes so well with marks and BM. Also recommend maybe boar and/or gazelle as pet options. Have fun out there! As a variant option, you can also go valkyrie with a/d gs with gazelle/boar or smokescale (or probably raven) too! HIGHLY recommend gryphon stance, you can use it like a ":stunbreak" by just preemptively dodging a big CC if you got the reaction time/practice with it. I have it on every soulbeast build. You also dont always NEED Sic Em to net kills if you can land your damage. Just some thoughts! Fun fact! Taunt and fear generated by the ranger (not the pet) have increased duration via Moment of Clarity!
  19. Thought the whole thing was OP saying its just not possible to solo q to top 10. When it is? We all know good duo queue players playing the best specs (often at weird hours) get insane winrates. But that doesn't mean you can't get to top 10 solo q if you're good. L2P issue.
  20. You wont end a season with min games and only have 10 losses solo queuing. But that doesn't mean its not possible to solo queue to top 10. Happens all the time.
  21. Untamed is just better than soulbeast. You have really high damage with decent sustain due to being able gain barrier on cantrip use, life steal on ambush skills, and extra vitality from a minor trait. You have the ability to control 100% of your pet which is just insanely nice. You can set up combos without having to rely on remembering and playing around the pet AI. There's only 1 thing imo that soulbeast offers better than untamed. That is that it can FARM spellbreaker 1v1. That's it. Untamed can still beat spellbreaker but not as quickly or 1 sided. As for dps roamer specs? Untamed has a teleport, solid aoe dmg, a good elite that keeps you in fights and on top of people in melee range. The added kicker is that Untamed lb dps is SLIGHTLY below Soulbeast DPS. Yeah...soulbeast can DPS harder with OWP but OWP is a 60s cd thats easily countered and is really just a noob stomper. I would gladly trade that for a 5k + longbow ambush that recharges my lb skills, life steals, and is AoE around my target. Imo, there's only 1 metric soulbeast is better than untamed in the current meta game, and thats killing spellbreakers, which you dont need to do all the time. There are some condi soulbeast memes, but they're just condi memes. They dont really work in consistent plat games. + hammer untamed is also pretty solid! though I do think lb is ultimately better.
  22. With the recent change to let staff target allies, it is possible that there is an allied target skill rework that has been done.
