Well..How goes it then? The situation is grim. Our Lord Commander Zudo has not graced these lands in some time. Perhaps the heavens are in chaos where they need his divine might? His absence does not bode well as many denizens have made their move to maliciously claim our homeland. So we are in a perilous state fending for our families, and praying for His Grace to return. Bad accretion design means that about 120 ranks are dedicated to mount/gliding and maybe more with provision mastery (if you want that juicy autoloot). These things were not needed for new players in the first few years of WvW. Seeing posts like OP really don't surprise me because the new player experience is mixed at best in the current year if not out right janky. D: To be fair, you just need 4 points to get gliding/mounts, though of course you will be worse off without the rest of the stuff. Having to unlock autoloot is kinda dumb but then again most wvw loot is worthless anyways. But, yea, the new player experience espeically in wvw is terrible. To get the bare minimum yes. The one with more ranks will have innate mechanical advantage in WvW (e.g. a new player can't lance people on their mount while a 'veteran' can for example). Back in the days of the old forums I recall them saying they wanted the mastery system to create roles, but its execution is just another grindy progression that allows you to assume all such roles if you simply grinded (ground?) more. D:

Yes. Increase the healing rate on downed players, that way if I spec into down state damage and use the +100% downstate food it means I should be really powerful. This would especially be true because so many have complained how good downstate is and have the shear audacity to request its removal! How dare they! D:

Wouldn't you get more small scale fights by going back to Spvp then? You don't have to worry about territories, and other random WvW mechanics in Spvp... D: Because farming gear doesnt matter there. I dont know if im making sense, but it's nice working towards something on a game mode you like.Then wouldn't it make more sense to put a topic in spvp for some semblance of that "working towards something?" Assuming that is a game mode you like. I mean if you wanted to farm gear (which I don't know why you bring it up considering small man WvW is a terrible way to do it given anything PvE is superior).
