GEAR.6309
The most recent patch seems to have broken DPI scaling. When DPI scaling is toggled on, the Hero Panel and Gem Shop preview panels no longer work. Toggling off DPI scaling fixes the rendering issue, however the UI is now too tiny to read on a 4k screen, making the game unplayable, even with "Interface Size" set to the highest setting.
KiLLiAN.5629
I have the same issue - with DPI scaling turned off, none of the item preview windows (including equipment and gem store) work properly. Here's how it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/sKB09Bx Edited September 13, 2022 by KiLLiAN.5629

Gydaeon.1285
I'm having the same issue, nothing to add but glad I'm not alone in this situation.
Luthan.5236
Weird. And I had similar issues before the patch. Changing settings with that dpi option did not help back then. (Now it works fine for me.)

Angelus.3701
Same issue as in the Screenshot above, only work around to this sofar for me has been unticking the DPI scaling option in the settings which makes everything so small even with the highest UI scale setting.

Donari.5237
I also have this issue. Combined with the larger cursor, I cannot precision click anything. Additionally, while toggling off dpi scaling does let the preview windows work, the weapon preview options are disabled so I cannot view weapons wielded or on their own. edit: Now the wielded preview is available. A bit more testing: It seems that if I open the preview by looking at a fishing rod skin via item code (tested with Geomantic), then try to preview other items without first closing the window, then the wielded/weapon only options are greyed out. So long as I start with a weapon, the preview window behaves normally. Edited September 13, 2022 by Donari.5237
Inculpatus cedo.9234
I didn't know it had anything to do with DPI scaling; the preview windows are borked. They show more...or less...depending on where you move them on the screen.
Sticky.2653
Same issue here. 3840x2160 resolution. DX11. EDIT: Yep unchecking DPI scaling does return character to the hero panel but those small menu windows on a big screen, uh, no thanks. Setting the game to DX9 and restarting the game "fixed" the issue for me. Edited September 13, 2022 by Sticky.2653
Skyworn.5920
So the title makes no sense but i have no idea how to put this into words, so i'll just give you a few screenshots to explain my issue. Long story short, every single preview screen has been cut in half. I have an updated graphics driver, i've reset the game, reset my PC, i've tried all the cliché IT support tricks and still seeing this. Any ideas how to fix? DeanBB.4268
What are your graphics settings, both for the computer (resolution) and game? Haven't the really high graphics settings been having preview problems?
Skyworn.5920
I just have my graphics in game to the preset option "Best appearance" I've tried playing around with it but haven't found a solution yet 😞
DeanBB.4268
So, a "normal" 1920x1080 screen? No DPI scaling? Using DX9 or DX11?
Illumine Sparkler.6019
Since the update i cant see any kind of preview of my character, ive just got the new dagger and went to preview it, preview screen stays blank, but trying to work out why i noticed all my panels are doing it, equipment, mounts, skiffs, none of them show the models on screen. Quadehar.4379
Mine only shows 2/3 of my body. Left arm and legs from knee below are cropped out. Edit: Kinda fixed it by unchecking DPI Scaling. Edited September 13, 2022 by Quadehar.4379
Nietzsche.5870
Yeah whether gem store, preview panel, or hero panel the character model doesn't load at all for me. Same w/ mounts and other preview panel type screens.
Latency.3907
I start my game with window option which launches it with smaller than monitor size as I use ultrawide monitor screen and not need the entire width. This appears to horizontally crop the character model in hero display off for rendering based on what percentage of your window occupies width wise on your reported monitor width. This is very bad UI breaking update which did not get proper testing. Not everyone always plays full screen mode. Please REVERT to the old HERO panel character rendering code as the new patch from 9/13 introduced bug a many.
ZoddTheImmortal.9753
My girlfriend is having the same problem. It does seem to be related to the DPI scaling as turning it off fixes it. Unfortunately that makes all of her UI super tiny, so definitely not a permanent solution.
