Weekly reset of weekly achievs

Do you have a problem with guild wvw missions too? cause they reset on mondays.

Weeklies spanning over two matches gives players a better chance to get them done when stuck in awful matches, aka anything with Mag in it these days.

Resetting on late sunday also gives players something to do for the week after the weekend.

No there's no option to change it, it's not a reward track.

So to confirm, this will always (at this point) be the weekly achievements for this? Like...they don't actually change the 7 around?

Doesn't look like it.

Maybe they'll add more in the future?

Maybe they'll adjust the current ones?

I dunno, it's anet, and it's wvw, which means the chances of that happening, if ever is next to nil.

It was a miracle we even got this in the first place tbh.

 🤷‍♂️

I mean, what other ones would you do?

Feed the catmander 5/5 times?

Open the chest in Obsidian Sanctum 5/5 times?

Kill a veteran creature 15/15 times?

Kill the Grub 10/10 times?

Throw siege on 100/100 enemy invaders?

All jokes aside, maybe some defending objectives. Escorting Yaks. Breaking walls and/or gates. Spending supply on repairs? Maybe shrines, since they don't count for the Ruins achievement. And yea, Veteran Creatures could work.

Really just a mix of the dailies but ramped up. Right now, anyone doing the weekly with any sort of playtime constraint, there is no point in defending since that actively impedes your ability to recap for the weekly. I don't think that's a good setup and it directly goes against the stated goal of encouraging more active battles.
Not that my 2 cents matters.

I can still see them putting in the catmanders just for fun though. Ditto for the OS chest.

The Vet Creatures are fair game too. I think a defense one is needed. Dolyak escort would work too.

That is already an extra 5 achievements that they can rotate in. They could also include a completed X/X Gifts of Battle reward tracks as an option as well.

WvW jumping puzzle. Lol...

More realistic ones would be:
* Defend SMC (counts only inner)
* Defend a keep (counts killing siege with cannon/oil/mortar inside your keep , killing enemies in lord room or within keep) against enemy attack
* Defend a tower (counts killing ram/golem with cannon/oil/mortar at premises, killing enemies at lord room)
* Defend a camp
* Defend dolyak going to a untiered structure if they fix the coding

I'm not sure, but I don't think they have the tools in place to reward those added details. But the point is there are plenty of options. Lots of good examples were put up (mostly by @Xenesis.6389). I like a lot of the ones put forth, but hate the idea of having to hunt certain classes for kills.

They could even have a few (let's say 3-4) that are static each week and have the others switch out. Just....something that incentivizes any sort of play other than playing merry-go-round with territories. That had been the most boring WvW game play I've had in my time playing. Literally just show up and kill the same 4-5 NPCs plus 2 Yaks for an hour straight.

Feels like waste play in weekend if weekly is already done.

Playing on the weekend has the same draw and benefit as it did before: fresh matchup, more active players, more activity across the board (and reward wise: reset to weekly pip chests).

The new weekly did  ot change that. Unless you put rewards before fun, which is such a PvE way of thinking.🤷‍♂️
