Just delete the turtle mount & the Jade Bot from the game

Why even have the kitten thing in the game if its this kitten hard to get! This is the main selling point to get the expac and you all make it this hard? You all should give me  90% of my money back! The kitten mount is the main selling point of the game! And don't even get me started on the  Jade Bot!

Complete Dragon's End Meta (join a squad, it requires basically no effort) - Get the egg.

Go to NPC in Arborstone.

First collection - If you have none of the materials already costs about 10g. (Unlikely since it's just stuff from plant nodes).

Second collection - If you don't fish at all costs less than 1g.

Third collection - This is the "hard" bit and mostly consists of content you should already have done at least once before in completing EoD.

1. Do jade maw event in Dragon's end map, you already went here to do the meta, just camp the spot and do the event.

2. Go to Elora in New Kaineng, costs 16g+7k Karma after completing the renown heart.

3. Do Seitung Province Meta - there are regular groups for this, the wiki page will tell you when it starts.

4. Go the Echovald Wilds, do the Forever Tree event chain, it's in the south of the map, just camp there until it's up. It can be done solo.

5. Go to Seitung, kill the Leviathan, just wait for the event in the water at the south of the map.

6. Go to Tengu Spy in Echovald, costs 16g+7k Karma after completing the renown heart.

7. Do the Ministry of Security Strike, this is easy, just LFG for it. Someone will always be willing to help. Arguably this is the hardest step.

8. Give 25 unidentified dyes to Fidget in Arborstone, costs less than 1g.

Total cost assuming you had nothing to start, about 45g and 14k Karma. If you check timers on the meta events etc. in advance you can do the whole thing in one day.

I was gonna agree with the title premise given one is useless and the other part of powercreep , but then I read "... because its too hard" and now I just wonder how people still fail with this 40k dps per class patch

Nr1. Breakbar dmg. 

On breakbars to large to just burst them with the bunny, the continues breakbar dmg of the auto attack of the turtle is used. 

For example, the breakbar in Dragonstorms champion clash. 

Or the breakbar on the cannons in the Seitung meta. 

In general, the breakbar dmg sees wide use everywhere. 

Nr2. Siege dmg. 

The auto attack and cannons are considered "siege dmg typ". This has quite some applications. 

Examples are drizzle wood or the maw of torment Metas. 

Where both feature objects that players normally can't dmg and need to use map specific ways to destroy them. 

In drizzle wood, you are supposed to use siege weapons to destroy doors and tents. 

The turtle, like I said, does siege dmg. Making it much easier to finish the events. 

At the maw of torment, the pillars are suseptible to siege dmg. Making the Escort Event of the Demo npcs obsolete. 

 

That's just some examples where the turtle is used. 

So yes, the casual players won't use it, but truth is that the turtle sees wide spread use all over the game.

Both are outclassed by table as far as I'm concerned. More control over your movements, more flexibility if everyone uses it. And you actually DPS instead of keeping 2 players busy with that kitten
I guess I can accept its more of a casual answer when you can't afford emp / siege bombs tho

EDIT : No wonder people still fail DE if you're confused enough to think you need turtle for either lol.

Also making it impossible to finish the Portal Spike achievement to get the Shadow of a Shadow achievement and title -> bad design. The Maw of Torment should be a siege turtle-free zone, or they need to make it so the portals can no longer be damaged by siege turtles. But of course ANet won't do that and the achievement will effectively be unobtainable for as long as this game stays live.

I did it no problem when the maw was weekly. 

People only used the turtle when the Escort bugged out. As others either don't have the turtle, want the AP too or don't know about it. 

It was just a example of something resent.

It seems  lots of people  didn't have too much trouble to complete it. I would like to see them restricted to EOD maps only.

I do HP runs with it. People get in the turtle, I move them from HP to HP and we kill/interact. Did it in HoT and PoF. If you know how to properly use the turtle, you can get everywhere you want and even travel the canopy of Verdant Brink during daytime. Before I had the turtle, I had to use a portal-class for these runs. Now I can pick whatever I want. Trutle can get everywhere - if you know how ^^.

The most ridiculous part however is flying with the turtle. Not hovering for a few seconds, but ongoing flying with those Volatile Magic trails. Difficult to keep on track, but feels amazing. How do I solve the problem with the height-limit? That is actually quite simple. I just start from a higher level, fall down to the trail. That way I can rise up much further than when I start at the trail-height.

A few weeks ago, I've made the request to allow turtle and skimmer to use updrafts and leylines as well. Would make the whole thing even more ridiculous.

What exactly is the problem? Is it the pay-wall? Because you cannot equip a service-chip with a Tier 5 or below? Because you have to craft the modules/cores with Research Notes? Because it is character-bound instead of account-bound? The skins being gemstore-items? You need a mini to show off your skins? Or is it about the accessibility of Tier 3 Service Chip components?
