Why give Vindicators the dodge daredevil should've gotten.

Seriously, hopping around and missing your dodges and position, dodging too far and pass the mobs and missing completely. or dodging into boss aoe and dying. So instead of fixing this, thief was ignored and vindicator gets the controlled dodge in place.... It's actually frustrating to place staff daredevil where you have to dodge every 5 secs. Make them both dodge similar PLEASE!!!!!!

I'm okay with them being different. Inconvenient for organized PvE, yes. Not an issue otherwise really. Id rather they just buff the class to make things like your complaint less impactful on class performance.

I was joking, since the leap is the only thing it has over Vindicator dodge in the image.

It should also remove a dodge (only 1 dodge) to balance it better with similar dodge mechanics LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO.

Even with only 1 dodge, Vindi was pogo-ing all over the place, but now it's just creeping the dodge roll meta with the only inconvenience being it slows down your rotation cause you can't do stuff while in the air.

Imagine the devs trying to introduce another e-spec with a unique dodge lol

It was good when bound and interrupts with pulmonary impact still did damage, as you could at least chain the bound with steal to make sure both hit and get a respectable amount of damage for your trouble. But yeah, not worth it these days except for the leap.

Tbh a lot of us have just learned through experience that Anet don't care to fix the bugs with thief unless they work in our favour, and just accepted that it's going to remain broken. 

Edit: Now that I think about it, I remember back in vanilla not liking D/P in groups in WvW because water fields from allies overwrote my smoke fields when using heartseeker, resulting in no stealth. No idea if they ever fixed that or if it just became a non issue when groups stopped relying on water fields for healing.

Speaking of bugs and smoke fields. There is still that bug that allows you to gain stealth with dagger 2 when you aren't even inside it.

its not only dagger 2, but also rifle standing 4 and works on any combo field, unless you mean a different bug.

I know that if any part of the leap goes into a combo field you'll get the finisher, we're talking about something besides leaping into a field from outside it? Just to be clear etc, as honestly I don't know about this one
