Was I able to help you or give you a hint? Click on Helpful and/or Thumbs up, I would appreciate it alot!
When you encounter a bug ingame, at first you should file a ticket via the ingame command /bug, as only this way the devs will know exactly where you were, when the bug happened.

  • Sure, but what do you think they should do when a character has a bulky back-piece visible and a back-carry (usually two-handed, but also shields) weapon?

There are many ways to solve this, and most of them will be unsatisfactory in some way or other. ArcheAge has a similar problem (with up to four different things you can have on your back, in fact, although I think it's impossible to have all four types active on one character), and their solution was to create a priority system - your character's back shows whichever of the back-carried items is highest in priority, and the priority is assigned by the player. The downside is that if you give your shield the highest priority, then your glider, the glider appears and disappears as you wield and stow your shield. It's the least unsatisfactory, I think, because if you don't like a particular thing being "preferred", you can change it to suit you, but even then it isn't perfect.

Yea! I would rather have that it just shows one of the items! That wouldn't be too complicated to do no? People could turn it on and off in the settings no?

The idea is, indeed, that the player can turn it on or off using the settings, or perhaps a widget in the Hero panel, since it's almost guaranteed that people will want different priorities on different characters. As for how hard it is for ArenaNet to build, well, I have no idea. If you're designing it in from the beginning, it's not so bad, but retrofitting it has strong possibilities of being ... awkward.

Item: Shifting Sands Rifle [Black Lion Skin]
    Race: Human
Gender: Female (but i think it will affect males and other races as well)
    Profession: Thief

Issue: Offset for firing/muzzle animation is wrong. this is for all deadeye rifle skills kneeling or otherwise. Should be at the tip of the barrel and not at the junction between the receiver and the barrel!

  • Astyrah.4015Astyrah.4015 Member ✭✭✭

i'd love it if we had the option to hide our equipped weapons like in other mmorpg's. atleast that way we'd have less cliping to worry about when not in combat ^^

  • Item: Luxurious Pile of Gold
    Race: Charr
Issue: Feet, Head and Tail clipping
Description: No matter if your Charr-Character is corpulent or slim - the Feet do clip into eatch other. The claws are cutting through the head/horns. The Tail sometims clipps through the left leg.

  • I think we can conclude that collectively, we would like to be able to determine if your backpiece, your stowed weapon or both take precedence. This should not be too hard to fix and does not really require any resources. I suppose that Arena Net are already looking into this though since they have a thread dedicated to this problem. Either way, thanks for all the feedback guys, and have a wonderful day!

  • Looks like the effect you get when you equip a Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion (Red). You sure it's not because you have it equipped?

This actually solved the problem... I can't thank you enough! This was the first time I came across such an effect, I feel like a total noob now (after some five, six years of playing the game) :D Cheers mate!

    Item: Ghostly Outfit
    Race: Sylvari
    Gender: Male (largest body size)
    Profession: Reaper
    Lvl: 80

I just got the Ghostly outfit from the gem store and I've noticed a weird bug with the flame "hair" - if you're standing in front of certain materials/effects, the "hair" disappears. It happens in front of things like portals, glass-like materials such as the jellyfish canopy in LA, the mad king doors, etc. I've posted some example images and a screen of my hero equipment panel. I messed around with my graphics and didn't get the "hair" to show up on any settings. It seems like the "hair" is either behind whatever is making it disappear, or it's just not displaying because it gets overridden somehow. Thanks.

    Race: Human
    Gender: Female
    Profession: Thief
    Item: Magitech Leggings (Gemstore Armour)

Issue: Skirt from Magitech Leggings clips on the left thigh during kneeling (Rifle 5) see image attached. Bonus Issue: found out the hairstyle used also clips the player model during kneel.

  • Shoulders on Banded armor and Phalanx armor become horribly oversized on male Sylvari with bodies larger than default.

The item effect of Bloodstone Visage on Asura characters is barely visible.
    :(
Sad bug. On the preview it shows it fine but on the actual character its barely noticeable.

    Race: Asura

    Gender: Male/Female are bugged
Armor: Savant Chest/Helmet and Genius Chest (respectively T3 and T2 Culturals Asura)
Issues: -Savant Chest Overlay your shoulders pads, you can't use what you want since it don't appear, The savant shoulder pads appear instead.
-Savant Helmet delete your hairs, it's a serious issue, Zojia could have hair so.
-Genius Chest cuts your gloves, "overlay" them, instead of having a gauntlet I have a very small glove.

The facial feature (long beard) for human males in the makeover window looks different than in game. In the makeover window (first screenshot link) you can see that the long beard is full and smooth, but in the actual game after you confirm the change (second screenshot link) the beard is partially missing and looks very grid like with little blank squares. It does not look complete like what is previewed in the makeover window from an aesthetician or from a total makeover kit. You can also see that in the selection window the beard already looks incomplete.

  • Haunted Armor Outfit on Human Males

The jaw is dislocated from the rest of the head and as shown the the screenshot above it does not follow where the head goes. When drawing a greatsword for combat the jaw and lower nose stays unanimated and creates a disconnect with stretched textures.

Race: Sylvari (Not sure about other races other than male Asura)
Gender: Female ( Not sure about males)
Profession: Ranger ( Don't think that it matters)
    Issue: Polysaturating Reverberating Infusion

My other characters are male Asuras and I have only recently created a female Sylvari character and I noticed when I equip any of the Polysaturating Reverberating Infusions my hair would not be affected by these infusions even though my Asuras hair are affected by these infusions. I even noticed Human players with Polysaturating infusions and their hair are affected by the infusion so I guess the problem lies with Sylvari female. Please fix this issue.

Images of my character equipping each of the three Polysaturating Reverberating Infusions: https://imgur.com/a/yBIwVAQ

Edit: I noticed this recently that it's probably all races but only certain hairstyles are affected. Some have the infusion effect and some don't. Regardless of race, I suppose.

    Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I was super hyped to see new goggles and a scarf added to the game. I currently use the drytop ones on my engi charr. Upon trying them on in the bank though I was disappointed to see that it doesn't fit any charr face well at all. They just sit on the end of the nose and have a gap on the top between them and the eyes...

Why can't they be set back a little closer to the face? I understand that charr have some odd faces but I tried these on different ones and they all just sit on the end of the nose. While on other races they sit against the face. Wouldn't the goggles be sitting back from the nose of charr? The drytop ones extend too far out too but at least they covered the gap.

The scarf looks great but again doesn't fit charr very well. It has a huge gap around the body like it's just hovering on the charr instead of gripping the body.

I love the designs of these and would love it if anet could please consider tweaking them to remove some excess unneeded empty space on these skins.

  • what items are u talking about?

  • I'd assume the Roller Beetle Racing rewards.

  • The scarf has some weird animation when idle, it floats way too much off the back. It gets even worse when holding a weapon. I am glad anet finally added a long scarf into the game some tweaking and variety would be nice. The golden one is very shiny, like its made from shiny plastic or rubber; this one I can understand, some people like that style, but could the racing scarf have its luster toned down?

  • Race: Human (Norn, Slyvari)
    Gender: Female
    Profession: All
    Armor: Race Scarf
Issue: On all my female characters the Race Scarf just hovers slightly above the shoulders (on all chest pieces that have open chest/shoulders and or are thin).

  • Race: Human, Sylvari (probably all)
    Gender: Male
    Profession: All
Armor: Mistforged Glorius chest armor (all 3 weights)
Issue: When players have Shaders settings not set to high the glowing on the back stays red instead of being of the selected dye color.

  • Since 6 months or so the pages of that legendary dont turn anymore if you use a shield skill .

  • Hi, speaking on behalf of my friend Lyght.2965 since he doesn't use the forums.

So when we go to WvW the character models default to the basic human model for enemies, friends, everyone. All areas of the game are unaffected and he is running on a really good computer. We are trying to figure out what is going on. We tried doing autodetect in the graphic options, but that did nothing as well. This has been on ongoing problem for a while and re-log does not work neither does reinstall. Internet connection is good and ping is perfectly fine. If anyone has any suggestions from game devs to community, please send them our way and I will pass them onto Lyght. We have been trying to figure this out. Thanks!

There is a specific setting in the options, you'll have to scroll down a bit. "Use enemy standard models" or something along those lines.

    Logging out forever.

Yeah we know about that, this affects everyone even his allies. So we are having issues with that.

  • Have you checked 'Character Model Limit' and/or 'Character Model Quality'? These will affect enemies, friends, all models.
You could try the command line argument, '-prefreset'. You can read about it here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments

If you continue to have issue, you can contact the Tech CS Team via the 'Support' link above/below.

    Good luck.

Thanks! I will pass this info on to him. We tried the Character Model Options and that didn't do much so we will try command lines tonight when we roam. Thanks again!

  • An issue I encountered a week ago when I made a new character. I used a makeover kit and what was seen in the makeover kit preview didn't match the in game results

There is a noticeable difference with the hair as it looked more vibrant in the preview. Not exactly sure what caused this and sadly I don't have a Permanent Hair Stylist Contract to experiment with.

So for anyone else just be a bit wary of this hairstyle and its colors till anet adresses the issue :)

  • Why the asure avatar (small icon at the bottom in the character choosing interface) is looked so ugly? I think this is a bug. Look and compare:
    Nord Female - perfect:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bTTjjnZpI6BFZYKtx7P_-3Q1C2SmvguW/view

    Nord male - not bad
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=11-_RRWSAlw1CH312C3l5TTWdDpd8-PSo

    Charr - as real:
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1spyi6PbbpIqLh-FKOq99kPuInvgxWNIp

Human, the avatar even the better, then real (the upper image):
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LeoJHfWfSmbNAuc7Ewjto_-al9j-sz42

    But wrong with asure?
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1EdZ9YkjG-bmp3sNwfiOJikeuRMio8aW3
The cheeks is large, the iris at the up, looked almost different, than the upper image. Asure, male, engineer, the cloth is the newbie engineer suit, the face is the premium face with a yellow iris from the store.

  • Race: Female/Human
    Item: Barbaric Legplates
Since todays deployed build, the item now has a double skirt. I circled in red the part of the skin that wasnt there prior to the update.
