Almost all of these boss encounters make for very uninspired play. You have to learn some foolish dance moves, follow the steps, repeat the same steps multiple times, finally finish. I dont like boring choreographed play, its why i dont raid, as well as the whiney ocd people who do raid are best avoided.

Because there is no such thing as Dune Online. The other option i am waiting on is the new lotro mmo which is in the planning stages.

Well the rights have been signed for a new lotr mmo, so i am just playing this until a new lotro arrives. That music system they had along with that awesome outfit system made things so easy.

Yes its a bit sad for me as all the people on my list are friends that i enticed to try gw2. They all quit, game too hard, takes way too long to unlock skills, etc. One bud even said i lied to them about difficulty by the time they got to orr. Heck, i even purchased the game for one guy. It really does take way to long to make a player feel invested in the game though. About the time they start feeling decent, they go to orr, then worse yet (for new players) hot. I had one friend make it that far and got annihilated by epic...uhhh pocket raptors, then a silly mushroom that he could not even scratch. Lol. He left. I wish they would just sink a 1k hrs or so, they can see it can be fun if geared well.

Lets see, 100hrs in for me...I was still running around in lowby areas, literally running (pre mount days) and wishing there was mounts and just exploring wishing there was gliders too lol

I just consider the commander thing as someone else, or some intercession that my mind blots out.

i run de rifle/pp because that is what i like. Its certainly annoying, but be sure you have selected collateral damage to have at least a little aoe.

Its already hard enough. All my friends who tried and left say so. So at least be proud that thus game keeps the wealthy super casuals at bay. I imagine anet still wants their money though. ?

Its a mistake to post such a thing i think. Most of the people on these forums are die hard fan types. What you listed are some of the same reasons i could not make any of my regular gaming buddies stick around. You will have ZERO impact on this crowd though, they want nothing improved.

Right, real life analogy: will power. Example: my army buddy Perez went home on leave to find squatters in his apartment. The squatters reacted first by shooting him in the head (jaw area) with a .45 cal pistol. Instead of getting flustered he pulled his own pistol and shot all 3 of them dead. Perez has a champion size breakbar.

The only two specs that have noticably less survivability in their dps builds than reaper are thief and elementalist. And these two classes are top dps with 20% more dps than reaper. Fun fact: with all of these 3 classes you can run the quite forgiving marauder gear and still out-dps a berserker reaper. You forget that the Thief has the Bounding Staff Daredevil and the Pistol/Pistol Unload Deadeye, which are dead easy to play and you're virtually unkillable because of: Invigorating Precision. Slap on some Marauder gear and you can literally only die if you're afk. Ow ... and before I forget, with still higher DPS than a Reaper can even get near to!I really got a feeling that these people have read somewhere that Necro is the easy 'training wheels' option, which might've been the case back in 2012, but a lot has changed (mostly for the better with other classes), where every single profession has very sturdy and easy to play builds at their disposal these days and literally all of them being capable of outdps-ing the Necro in PvE (if you do a fair comparison, that is!) ....Well thats nonsense. I play both thief and necro. Pp thief has no real aoe, a few unloads and you are out of initiative. Necro is cruise controk easy mode and nothing comes close to it in that regard. I'm fine with that too. There are times when i dont feel like struggling, i use my necro.

Maybe he cares to grow the game. Its why i dont invite friends to this messy game.

This reads like the postings in every single profession forum. Every class is apparently the worst and needs huge buffs NAO PLS! Lol

The lesson here is not thief like i did. Its a real hassle in pve and u die lots. I do same content on necro and often let my minions clear it while i watch.
