  1. I dont hear anything lmao I barely play and when I do I honestly MAY die once or so a match and usually have no issue getting downs, I'm speaking for people that are just starting and what their met with.So you literally come to the forums even though you don't play just to tell new players that the gamemode is trash, so that they don't play it, and then you use the fact that PvP is a dead gamemode to say it's trash. WP mate.
  2. WvW is another issue totally from PvP as in WvW thieves are virtually unkillable if they want to without taking "damage". In PvP they cannot contest the nodes etc so it remains quite fine.
  3. Hello,I just want to ask to be certain because I kinda got all the possible responses by asking on discord. How many games one needs to play to get the 2v2 elite title ? In 5v5 it increases by 15 each week, but I don't know for 2v2. It is 30 atm but will it go up on Tuesday endseason ?Thanks by advance.

  5. No, so far away from the truth, the reason why I don't like meta is because I feel like I am more than capable of building my own builds that I truly understand and know what they do.I hate to copy-paste something and then have to learn another playstyle. I can do it, have done it before I just don't enjoy it.Another reason why I am against meta is because I can't afford swapping stats every so often on my ascended gear, + runes, +sigils etc, I don't have any legendary gear. So that was the whole reasoning behind this post , I want to be able to play what I have build instead of playing the "crafting" game and focus on making new pieces or changing pieces etc. Don't worry about changing gear etc, you'll almost never have to change any sigils runes stats unless you play chrono basically. Look, it's quite simple, if your build performs correctly, just a bit below the META ones, it's fine. If you're doing half the job of another player of the same skilllevel, it's not. That's about it.
  6. Sure let's do it. At least it will filter all the people that cannot play the game, so that they all end up together and die together for hours without even knowing why. Experienced players won't use this because nobody wants to queue with rands outside a training. It's literally as if sPvP queued top 10 players against silver or gold players (It does sometimes). So you'll have ten noobs, 3/4 of them not running the right builds and the 9/10 of those running the right build not knowing rotation/how to use it. Have fun doing the boss, I personally don't care since I won't use it. Or alternatively you actually invest efforts into learning to raid and you will easely raid.
  7. People are away from raids because they cannot bother to put in effort to do the content, since it's actually super easy to get into raids and you'll find tons of help for it. It's their own lazyness and unwillingness to contribute that keeps them away. That's it.Same happens in strikes, you have people willing to do the content correctly and put in effort into having a smooth run, and people that want to be carried without putting efforts. The first type's just done being a sugar daddy. Also if you want to be taken seriously you might consider wording your post more thoughtfully and avoid generalities that conveys no information like "Trash attitude" and "Worst behavior".
  8. The reasons to continue to play now after reaching level 500 are the same reasons that players continued to play WvW after they reached level 2000 before this patch. If you do not like WvW, don't play WvW. Yeah, would be OK. Or we could get the legendary raid and PvP trinkets with a WvW reward track. ;) Yeah, and make GoB accessible through PvE and PvP reward track too. And WvW legendary ring aswell, sure.1000 rank is what, around 500 hours of playing reasonnably. Just compare the play times to the sPvP ones and adjust them. My guess is, that Anet will make/change more ways to motivate players to make/get legendary armor/trinkets (but will not reduce the cost/material requirement) so more players try to make legendaries. This way they could remove more gold from the system and could sell their "legendary armory" (or the overpriced gear templates) to more players. They're all already pretty easy to get though :/

  10. They are already handed out like candy in any case since they are grind based and not skill based. What makes PvP title prestigious is the rarity and skill it takes to get them. Sad some wintrade though. It's not 1% of PvP players that have Prince(ss) of the Arena.
  11. Sad that they didn't managed to make this title prestigious, and are happy enough with making it grindy (Or rewarding people that farm-trained).
  12. Most of people replying against the suggestion are complete headblocks being like "But the build is super bad overall and it's L2P issue", when the OP literally acknowledges that. The build doesn't make you learn to play, and it is dumb by design. The entire reason PvP is fun is because you need to dodge dangerous skills/counter them with CC or blocks or invuls or whatever, basically you need to be skilled to perform well. There's none of that with FT, it's just boring kiting or high damage that are needed.Buff the freaking build if you want, that'll make diversity, but make it not being completly dumb/a meme like it is atm. People have so much given up on having actual fun balancing by Anet that they don't even give a crap about these kind of stupid designs, kinda sad.
  13. I got your message. Sorry for not responding. It's not really a priority right now I was wondering why the benchmarks were SO much higher. I did forget that I wasn't using food or any utility buffs and I don't have the extra stat infusions so that would add a little. I also wasn't following the rotation to the tee. There was a comment above that mentioned understanding WHY to use a certain skill when you do, because of damage modifiers and what not. That's certainly an easy place to start, as well as understanding skill priority like which skills to use during tether or each weapon set and knowing which skills cause those damage modifiers. Truthfully outside of challenge modes I'm not sure raids really require THAT much dps. I've done a few in Bastion and the first raid and it seemed like my damage wasn't that much of an issue as it was knowing mechanics in general, but it is crazy to think that someone else is able to put out that much dps compared to me with gw2's limited number of skills. To answer the original question, YES, rotations are extremely important. You have to follow them exactly as far as possible. Of course you may fail a lot at start, or switch 2 skills with each other or something. To reach the benchmark you need to pay attention to more things. Typically you want to upload your golem logs on arcdps and look at your rotation. You'll see a lot of interrupted auto attacks in between your skills probably, and on the whole fight, having I don't know 200 AA cancels that last 50 ms, is equal to spending 10 seconds of the fight doing nothing for instance. For animation cancels, on DH for instance, when you use GS4, it lasts 700ms, but with the animation cancel it can last up to 200ms, which means every 2 GS4 you win 1 second of attack. Same for GS5, you gain around the same ms. Generally, to be average in a raid you need to be >80% of the benchmark DPS and to know the encounters so you can DPS properly on the boss. To be quite good, 90-95% on benchmark DPS and complete knowledge of all encounters will probably make you top DPS in 90% of pugs. I'd say if you are under 80% bench you are hindering your team (Unless it's a training and everyone pulls 10k), and more of less being carried through the encounter. Also it's much more satisfying when you manage to pull decent numbers ! Don't try to do everything in one time at the golem. First learn the rotation, like two sessions so that you memorize it and muscle memory a bit. Second try to queue your spells (You press the other spell before the previous one finishes to cast so it queues), this will remove most of the auto attacks between skills.Third try to do cancels but that's high end. Also I advise joining a raid or fractals or w/e community to get more help with all this.
  14. I mean, it definately depends on where the ennemies are located. You need to play 2.5 nodes at least, so for instance if their whole team is standing on far your best bet is to try to get two kills in the mess with everyone there xD
  15. Idk, I don't think dragonhunter is really strong atm to be honest. Don't mind if they remove trapper, but they need to rework the spec if they do. (I don't play it atm, I just play against.)
  16. Just from the wording of the post you can tell this's an extreme exageration if not an outright lie, and the OP is simply being salty and/or delusionnal.
  17. Exactly why deadeye is a niche play, but it's totally viable in a lot of ranked games. As deadeye, your only job is to kill people, that's why you're there. That's how you compensate for not being able to hold any nodes and not doing the classic thief job. Making projectiles unblockable is just allowing DE to overperform without any skills in ranked IMO.
  18. There is none. At least in the way you're implying, of course there are projectile based bugs. You mentioned that 1v1 ability for the spec is bad. It's because DE has insane damage potential. Berserkers amulet, scholar runes, separation sigil, assassin signet, BQoBK... it's not that hard to stack all your modifiers which result in a 2.5 second window where you can land enough damage to down anything short of a full shroud necromancer. The "skill" involved is knowing when to land the burst, and how to force windows where the enemy is vulnerable to it.DJ used to be unblockable, it was taken away during the nerfs gradually tuning all overperforming specs down. At the time it was unfair, now it definitely isn't. DE-s real tradeoff is getting better(and ranged) damage at the cost of reliance on stealth+projectiles, with lessened mobility. An unblockable DJ would bypass half of this tradeoff, and would make DE far too OP - especially on lower ratings. People saying DE is underpowered can't play it properly. It works for me just fine. This is the best answer in this thread. DE is definately working fine at the moment for people who know when to play it and how to play it, and I'm talking of Plat games. DE has an insane kill potential in a game, it's up to you if you wish to loose your time 1v1ing someone on a node they have taken already. If you wish to play it against good thieves that will farm you the whole game, it's also your mistake. I don't even understand how you can argue for a spec that can actually oneshot people to have unblockable projectiles. Do you even realize what that'd mean in a teamfight ?
  19. This fractal seems to suffer from the following chain of events :1) Nobody cares about underwater combat since there's no content for it and the design isn't that great to say the least.2) People thus do not gear for underwater combat nor learn to play it, and end up either basically mashing all of the buttons or the buttons that seem to do the most damage blindly3) 'Difficulty' due to not being prepared to underwater combat in addition of the fractal mechanics being pretty much uninteresting causes people to hate the few content even more, thus increasing 1), etc. Fixing this probably requires complete overhaul of underwater combat and cie, so it most probably won't come any time soon. If you are not running T4s with a pretty solid/confident group (Preferably you do CMs before), I'd just recommand skipping this fractal altogether.
  20. Can I still run two chronos? However I see that most LFG dont look for 2 chronos anymore. You definately can run two chronos, however firebrigade (Chronotank, Aren, Quickbrand) tends to perform better on bosses where chrono utilities are not required. On top of my head, you want to be running double chrono for Desmina due to tanking, on Dhuum for ease of mind in pugs, on Qadim for double portal to the two pyres (Assuming you skip stab pyre), on Largos due to tanking, eventually on CA/Sloth/Xera for easier pulls with focus 4 but it's not really required. Basically, firebrigade usually does more damage than double chrono thus is preffered. Firebrand also brings a good ton of blocks and can take SyG if needed. Alacrigade also provides AP in addition to good DPS. TL;DR : You can absolutely run double chrono and almost nobody is gonna yell at you for it, however it's often best to alternate between that and firebrigade depending on boss, while keeping in mind that firebrigade tends to perform slightly better if chrono's utilities are unneeded.
  21. The most common composition running in pugs will probably be as followsSub 1 : Healbrand + 3 DPS + AlacrigadeSub 2 : Chronotank + Druid + 2 DPS + BSHealbrand and Chronotank are each providing quickness to their own subgroups, Healbrand and Druid are providing healing, Alacrigade is providing 10-man alacrity. For buffs, Druid is providing spirits buff and spotter, BS is bringing banners, Alacrigade is providing Assassin's Presence (AP).Therefore DPS who needs spotter are placed in the druid sub, and power DPS that do not need spotter are in Sub 1 to get AP. If you wish to be solohealing (Rarely in pugs), you replace your healbrand by quickbrand, if the boss requires two tanks you replace the alacrigade by another chronotank and you can replace the healbrand by any offhealer (Tempest, Scrapper, Healbrand, Alacheal, ...) or by a DPS if you soloheal.
  22. So youre basically a parrot that doesnt even understand what it's saying. Great...What you're representing here are highly subjective and individual experiences/opinions and in no way reliable sources. You should use websites like gw2efficiency etc. to get a deeper understanding of wealth distribution across the gw2 community and that raiders have the tendency to be richer and thus are less reliant on rewards.(though they did get this rich by playing lucrative content of course^^) Nah, i just tell you only what i have seen. It's true it is nothing but personal experience (which should be obvious, i mean come on...) but since it's true for every MMO i have played, can't really tell you anything else. Anytime anyone anywhere start talking about difficulty, sooner rather than later the people who say they "enjoy" difficulty come to tell everyone how it should give more stuff, every time. They, of course, also say they enjoy it but as soon as someone tells them "isn't it supposed to be fun for you, why more stuff?" the raiders especially knock them down with the might of a thousand suns. Even as someone who after having played for 8+ years doesn't really care much about rewards anymore and just enjoys Raiding for the gameplay and social aspect still have to say I do find it silly that brain afk auto attacking in some open world zerg gives up to 300%+ of the rewards per hour, without cap, than the most difficult organised group content in the game does once per week.Just in terms of principle that doesn't make sense, just like if someone studied law or medicine mainly just because they enjoy it, they probably expect to earn more than if they had just gone directly into menial labor, so someone gearing and preparing for and learning Raids just for the fun of it might still expect rewards at least in parity to what they would get from holding down one in a zerg. It's logical that much greater effort should be more rewarding. Imo better rewards for Raids would be nice as carrot for more people to get into it, to then stay for the gameplay and community they might enjoy and form. They are not so much a personal concern though. I get that Anet really, really wants people to play their LW stuff, but they are stacking the deck a bit much in terms of to what content they lure players to with their loot carrots. Complaining about rewards doesn't mean that's all or even mainly what people play for though. Ahh, the good ol' excuses. Funny how they, like everything else are always the same.Just to react quickly to this, even though the whole discussion concerning why people are playing raids is completly irrelevant to the thread, most people I know and raid with some times in the month are clearing all the wings around thrice a week, and most of them aren't doing it on alts, which means they basically get 6 unid gear for clearing the boss. Most raiders are raiding for fun, to learn new roles/proffessions/specs, or to try new strats or more hardcore kills. Honestly, rewards are just a kind of nice bonus that are around aswell.Overall there are many issues in the game that deserves fixing before "rewards" are fixed. Would have to study the number of gold you get from each content to even know if it requires balancing.
  23. I don't know if Necro's Anet's favorite class and I don't think it matters much, but buffing to this extent a class that was already extremely popular and performing very correctly to say the least in both PvP modes sounds weird. Reaper and core necro are basically played in every single sPvP match, and there was a necro in every single team competing during the MotA, and in WvW squads you have scourges everywhere. It just seems that these buffs were quite unnecessary, time will tell if they were harmful though.
  24. No, simply because I'd prefer them to work on content rather than this. There are many things that should arguably be prioritized in the game above doing something like this, unless it is part of a well-thought commercial strategy.
