  1. Fine but not all of us want to hear the constant barrage of stupid kitten coming out of stoned 19 year old's mouths all night long. Not everyone falls into that clique nor wants to hear it. I tried. I can't.
  2. I never buy gem store things and I have hundreds of teleport to friend scrolls. No lock, in other words.
  3. Oh interesting. It's got to be a bug....right?
  4. I think another actual big deal is the fun factor in playing ranger. It's rarely been top of anything. But it was FUN! The mobility, the options etc. are all being gutted. The flipping and jumping around playstyle, which was quite effective in some game modes (pvp) is largely gone. The variety of DPS and defensive options in competitive gameplay are largely gone. They gave the big fat Guardians a jump around agile spec, but took it away from the foresty, natury, lighter armor Ranger. I find myself standing there more and more. It fact in PVE open world and meta stuff I just run a Hammer Smasher. I can just stay still and bash away with little problem. If it is a problem, I walk backwards and pull out the bow. Meh.
  5. Oh boy. Now the whole game and every player has to conform to your aesthetic? Thing is, there is a world out there, full of people who will look, act, talk, etc. in ways you don't like. It's a social game, with other players in it. Your dream of making it all yours will never happen.
  6. Beta. Without a doubt. Beta had those live events, GM run, totally random. Also there was much more happening with orange circles. And the world was more alive with ambient sounds, until a few complained and got it turned off/down.
  7. It didn't though. There has always been OP set, class, stat combo's. And people always used them. And boasted of how good they are and showed everyone on YouTube. And everyone not using those sets complained, and rightfully, called out those players for playing EZ mode. Rinse, wash, repeat. Bunker, glass cannon, zerker, marauder, some variation of condi. At least celestial is something new. And it's different since hybrid builds are finally a thing. And I just don't find it as OP as everyone claims. I've seen worse in this game.
  8. I'm not certain about that. Look I like chill. I've been chilled for years. We need a new condition, call it "Cheezy". It's not easy being cheezy. It'll provide us L33t players with a bigger challenge. We need this.
  9. Why is the thread being hijacked with talk of meta builds and max DPS peening? The OP question was about celestial catalyst and I don't think anyone really asks about celestial for front line meta DPS stuff. I'm with insistent for this thread.
  10. Spot on post. I've never bothered with legendary anything. I have no time for that stuff. I even have very few ascended. It's just not needed.
  11. Did you see the credits at the end of the last story? They had to pay all of those people, keep the power on, and everything all from players being required to spend money with them less times than the fingers on one hand over the course of 10 years. And now, base game is free. What we're getting is a steal. These games all used to have a monthly sub or you got jack. And some still do. And all of them, the extras are just that, extra. It costs gem store, or a sub. Heck other games have DLC's you have to buy 4x a year on top of expansions. Nope. GW2 is the best deal, dollar for dollar, going around. Super cheap without being P2W.
  12. Compared to the dual health bar bunker condi and fear you into oblivion necro's, Harbs are so easy to kill. CC is obvious. And they are squishy as heck. Na, there are several other more OP class/build combo's out there. But don't worry, they will nerf Harb. Then come for your class next lol.
  13. Once upon a time, we earned everything in game though gameplay. And paid $15 a month for that privelege. But today's Karen players didn't like that. So RNG loot boxes is what we get. We reap what we sow.
  14. Celestial is fine. It gives another option outside of the classic glass cannon, bunker, or condi builds. It makes the game more interesting. Celestial roamers are tough. That's the only threat they pose. But they can be beaten. It's a challenge rather than an easy kill. I'm good with that.
  15. I've found it somewhat more difficult, yes. I can't lazy my way though things on this release.
  16. This is such a tired old argument. Let's assess shall we? MMO *Massivly *Multiplayer *Online Ok so massive = big world, lots of people, lots of content Multiplayer = The world contains other players. That can bring friends, and can bring kill stealers (in other past gamnes) Online - well, online. Internet. Hosted on servers. Nowhere in MMO does it say "Grouping required" or "Friends required" or anything similar. Rather, it alerts us to the fact that we're not alone in the world. Multiplayer =/= grouping required. It simply means more than one player can play concurrently. As evidence, I think most game companies are understanding this. They, for the most part, do have content for solo, group, and zergs. Something for everyone. And heck, even when I am playing alone, I find it nice to see other players around, the world feeling rather alive, rather than the emptiness of a single players RPG.
  17. I think it's very nice as is. It looks fantastic and performs well. It's not even on my list of things that ought to get time invested in it at this point.
  18. This is the best update yet. The zone is great with a nice balance of things to do. The living story is fantastic. Everything feels like a ton of effort was put into it. This feels like a game that is really cared about rather than pushing out regurgitated content.9/10, one point off for legendary items locked behind raid bosses. I can't really raid well with satellite internet. But overall I'm more happy with the game than I have been in years. Bravo Anet!
  19. I like all the flashies, but they do need to add in something to make it selectable.
  20. This is probably the best, or close to the best, MMO release of any kind I have seen in many many years. I thoroughly enjoyed the living story. The instances and stories were masterful! The mobs are about the right difficulty for someone playing solo, I have no complaints in that area at all.Everything is so well done. The story, the ambiance, the environment, the characters we run across both in the story and around the landscape are all very nicely done. I think we just need more reasons to stay in the new zones! I think these are the best zones in GW2, and not many are sticking around. Hopefully there will be future updates to flesh things out a bit.Brilliant job ANet!!!
  21. It's predictable, that in almost everything new, people want it to be easier. Look, most people are done with this new story within a week, on a brand new expansion! That's a sign of way too easy to me. Nothing in the personal story was what I would call hard. Maybe a few retries on a few things, but I would hope for at least that!!Nice job ANet, on a fantastic expansion!
  22. I've noticed something interesting with this. There seems to be "trigger points" with those endless respawn places. I've tried it out a few times, where if I move my character 50-100 feet away, the mobs stop respawning. So if you're getting the endless mob pops, try moving over a bit.
