  1. Facepalm... Who uses Water Attunement in DPS build?
  2. "Burst" heal. Everything on the list beside the Signet and summon is on Water Attunement. Basically, all the heal you list are not accessible on 3 out of 4 of the attunements. Signet of Water is on a 20s cooldown, and Water elemental has down time. Basically, you still don't understand why Ele is WORSE than HB or Mech: it's the Uptime: - HB has access to everything at all time. It can give stab at any time. It can give quickness any time. It can give aegis at any time. It can heal any time, it can cc any time... - Mech has access to everything at all time similiarly - Ele on the other hand, has everything on the list above restricted to 1 out of 4 attunements. And you know what, when you go into Water Attunement, you lose the up time on traits/skills that are tied to Fire/Air/Earth (like CC/Stab). As I mentioned before, having 20 weapon skills is NOT a blessing. It's a LIABILITY. It's not that you have 20 skills, it's that you're LOCKED OUT of 15 skills at any time. It's not like Engineer's kits where they have no cooldown and has 100% up time if needed. Ele's skills should be substantially buffed (not damage, but add more utilities) to address the fact that their uptime is way lower than other classes. I think we should have a slogan for Ele Balance: "It's the UPTIME, kitten".
  3. I stopped playing grenades. Why would I run that when I can DPS from 1200 range with rifle? Multiple CC on rifle, CC on signet, CC on F2, CC on F3.
  4. It's worse than auto attack on Mechanist for 4 seconds. For a class-defining mechanic with a huge trade off (20s attunement), if we have to keep the channeling, then at least make it max 2 seconds, and tick every 1/4s instead. Make it dangerous! Make it scary! Make it threatening!
  5. OP doesn't play Ele, that's why they think one-shot doesn't exist. It certainly does for Ele.
  6. We should also stop having traits that only applies within an attunement. Many Ele traits have 1/4 uptime, while Mechanist has +33% bleed minor trait with 100% uptime.
  7. Just make Ele has the most fun combat (without Conjure and after cast) with the highest utilities (CC/heal/boons/evade/block). 35k DPS is fine, but it should be the top most utilities class in the game!
  8. If we have to keep Alac on overload, I'd rather it applies Alac per tick.
  9. Why would I want an Alac Tempest at 15kdps when I can do 30k DPS with Alac Mech. Oh, and the free barrier/other boons too.
  10. Lol no it's not a good change. It should be giving quickness on any attunement (reduce the duration) not only in Air. Making it give quickness on any attunement means Condi Catalyst (Fire/Earth) can have quickness too.
  11. I love the idea! It adds the flavor to Ele as "master of combos". But instead of destroying 3 fields per cast, I would make it an ammo skill, destroy one field per cast, with cooldown 20s. This can be used in various fun way: see a thief blind field trying to stealth away from you? React fast enough and you may kill that field!
  12. New Invigorating Torrents: - Aura Grants Regeneration and Alacrity. This opens up a lot of build flexibility. Give Ele something to compete with Mechanist. Right now there is zero reason to bring a squishy Ele (that can't even CC without losing team heal) over a Mechanist.
  13. I'd rather have Alac on Aura, not Alac on Overload. At least, with Alac on Aura, Ele can still play Aura Share, which opens up more builds. Alac on Overload means Ele is stuck with Water Staff and Wet Noodles.
  14. Instead of making Spectacular Sphere provide quickness only in Air Attunement, make it so that any Jade Sphere deployment provides Quickness (with some reduced duration). That way, Ele is not locked to Air to provide Quickness (LI Condition Catalyst for example only use Fire/Earth). Also Heal Catalyst can opt to provide some Quickness while staying in Water.
  15. To be fair, I don't think it's CmC leading this change. Also, let's not be antagonizing the devs.
  16. After today's patch (and future pet autocast patch), Mechanist is the spec you want: - Auto attack with Flamethrower - Can't die in Cele (I did a lot of metas where I don't even bother to dodge)

Raw heal can never compete with Barrier. - Barrier increases "max" HP, allowing people to withstand bigger attacks. - Barrier is not wasted when the target is full HP. - Barrier has higher multiplier. - For Heal Mech specifically, it doesn't have to choose between Barrier or Alac. It actually gets Alac via Barrier application. Ele on the other hand have to pick between heal and Alac. It's just facepalm.

  19. They should have put it on F1-F4. First press change attunement, second press place sphere.
  20. Ele Elite Signet: increase all stats by 75. Ele can now have 13k HP instead of 12k!
  21. ANet: - Lava Font now boils the blood of the enemy with extreme heat, then explode their body. Damage is increased by 5x. - Since Lava Font is thematically a Blood spell, we decide to move it to Necromancer Staff skill. - To replace, a new skill Lava Cake is added to Elementalist Staff. It deals 200 damage and gives a Sugar Crash buff, increase incoming damage by 5%. - We are continuously monitoring your feedback. If needed, there will be adjustments on the next patch.
