  1. Went back to check on this this morning. It was working again! Is a particular instance failing and resolves itself when an empty map closes down?
  2. Just to be absolutely sure, you stood in the position described in the following link and interacted with the beam of light by pressing [F]? I've just been there and made one. It worked fine. The only issue I noticed is that you sometimes have to move a little whilst standing on the railings to get the inteaction location with the beam of light. This pages shows you info about the beam of light and where to stand.... https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Beam_of_Light
  3. No you've probably done nothing wrong. Some areas of the maps which will include hearts, vistas and Poi dont show up unless you are really really close to them. One such example is the vista in the area of Malchor's fingers in Malchor's leap. There is a heart at Terra combusta in Blazeridge Steppes where you help an Asura with harpies that again doesnt show up unless you are close. Added to Costepj's sugestion above once you work out which maps arent at 100% completion go to each in turn and then open up the map again. if you hover over the poi / vista and heart icons at the top left any that have been revealed on the map but not completed will flash. The other thing to do on maps that arent completed is look out for the Scout icons on the map. Each scout when activated will reveal areas that they are aware of that haven't been explored by you - they typically with reveal heart locations. Make sure you have entered each of the home instances in each races starting cities., there are poi's in there Lastly make sure you enter the various pact headquarters. The Priory in Lornar's Pass, the Vigil Keep in Gendarran fields and the Order of Whispers in Bloodtide Coast. Hope that helps.
  4. Some of the nerfs over the years have been justified, but its now getting a bit silly. Anyone who plays Ranger in any form in pvp/wvw should just retire them for a bit. That way classes that were held in check by them will dominate, the clowns who whine on the forums will complain about those classes and they'll get nerfed - a classic case of shooting themselves in the foot.
  5. A small change but a good one. love the Random option as well 🙂 Currently playing the HoT Theme at 11 coz it's one louder innit.
  6. Its a very odd set of collections. This is my experience - bearing in mind I've salvaged all of the Relics obtained from Achievments during playthrough of SoTO part 1. For stuff like Relic of Akeem, Relic of Mabon etc., which make up the "Relics - Secrets of the Obscure set 1" collection, when I entered Lions Arch I got updates for each of the ones I had obtained. Oddly one of the Relics, the Relic of Fractal was soulbound to another one of my characters and in the bank. It didn't unlock in this collection until I logged onto that character and equpped the relic. For the more common relics, which are obtainable from the box of relics that were given out to each character over level 60 on the relase of SoTO, I got them to update in the second collection which is called "Relics - Cores Set 1" only by logging into each individual character. As I did so they unlocked. As result I've got quite a few relics to go in this set which I'll probably have to obtain by purchases or using the remainder of the free relics box. Lastly there is also a third relic collection called "Relics - Secrets of the Obscure set 2" these seem to be new relics and I've not got any of those unlocked. Confusing to say the least.
  7. From the patch notes - Added three collection achievements for relics. For the Relics—Secrets of the Obscure Set 1 achievement, players can load into Lion's Arch or any Secrets of the Obscure map to retroactively check for progress. To the OP do the collections update if you go to Lions Arch or any of the SoTO maps? UPDATE - to answer my own question that I posed to the OP, I logged into Lions Arch. Like the OP I salvaged most of the rarer relics obtained through achievments in SoTO. When I entered Lions Arch the ones I had obtained updated in the collection "Relics - Secrets of the Obscure Set 1" - that is all of them apart from the Relic of the Fractal, which was soulbound to another character and in my bank. I had to log into that character, retrieve it from the bank then equip it before it registered in this collection.
  8. This is quite an old intermittent bug and not connected to the "are they afk or not?" Farmer nearby. Even the wiki mentions that the reason it stalls is unknown. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gortho,_Son_of_Malik#vendor3
  9. From the wiki article linked by Inculpatus, full participation (i.e gold reward) gives 100 points per event. Quite how much you have to do isn't published. It doesn't give the points for Bronze or Silver but its obviously less than 100. A sensible guess at partial participaton would be somewhere around 30% for bronze and 60% for silver, making 30 points and 60 points respectively. Map bonus rewards are given out every 200 points up to 8000 and then the hidden track resets and the rewards start from the beginning again. It's fairly obvious that tagging an event doing the minimum required and then rushing off to the next event on a mount isn't the most efficient way to get the rewards, since two full participations will award 200 points and one reward, whereas tagging and running will net you lower points and take longer to get the 200 threshold.
  10. Had this happen earlier when I entered the first part of the SoTo story in Gendarran fields. Everything was fine until I entered the instance where you leave the watchtower and head back towards the Sketchy individuals camp. About an hour before I had done exactly the same with another character and no issues. After having completed this part and being ported to the Temple of Febe the graphic glitch resolved itself. I'm currently using the latest Nvidia driver 546.01 that was released yesterday. https://imgur.com/a/fviw0tz
  11. Just finished an Amnytas meta and it was successful. During the press the coloured button phase with Dagda (which I suspect you're all referring to the Yoga phase) I noticed my participation dropping rapidly. This is despite me having taking part in events prior to this phase, including destroying tenticles on the side of the tower. Quite demoralising. Devs should take a look at this.
  12. Find and delete your gw2cache folder, it is a hidden folder and will be called gw2cache-(followed by a string of numbers and letters). The game stores temporary files in there and it will be recreated on running Guild Wars 2 again. Looking at your crash dump, the folder on your machine is located at C:\Users\Zanka\AppData\Local\Temp\gw2cache-{374BB53B-289A-2AE5-38B5-4B379A28E52A} If you are using a Firewall (and you should be), make sure that the executable file CefHost.exe isn't blocked from accessing the Internet. This file is the Chromium Embedded Framework Host. Blocking it can cause problems. See how that goes?
  13. It's been 53 days and something hours since this Chicken Little prophecy was created, has he gone yet? Has this thread actually run its course if indeed it had one?
  14. Simply write some code that says you cannot autorun within the home sector or a keep/castle that your side owns. It would stop some. Also if GM's were more active in this game (not necessarily visible) but visited a few maps every so often and enforced a few rules, it might sort a few of these people out.
  15. What is your "sound quality" set to in the Guild Wars 2 Client. You can find this by pressing F11 in game and then clicking on the third icon down on the left hand side of the panel that opens up. Default for "Sound Quality" is in the middle of the bar. You don't need to set it to high quality. I've had issues with sound stuttering in the past when I've gone beyond the middle default setting and there has been a ton of things happenining on screen. Also check that in game you're using the correct sound set up within "Audio device" and also check that your Windows is also using the same setup. You can usually check this by right clicking the windows speaker icon at the bottom right of your screen and selecting "open sound setting" . I've had issues in the past when a driver update for my soundcard has reset my setting (two speakers) to a 4 speaker surround sound setup and the sound coming out of the two speakers was odd! If all of these are correct, check to see if there are newer sound card drivers on your cards manfacturers page and install them.
  16. As someone who has lost two Grandparents, a Cousin, an Aunt, my Mum and is currently supporting my Dad during treatment for this type of illness I do understand where the OP is coming from. However personally I'm not going to lose any sleep over someone whom I will never meet using the word in a context that they may have no experience of. Life is too short to put up with this sort of kitten and there are greater things to worry about.
  17. Encountered this issue earlier today. Something has changed with this chest on top of the dome in the last patch/mini patches, since on previous occassions I've been able to loot the chest with no problem at all.
  18. The Wiki has a good guide to all the different locations, along with nearest WP/Poi. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/A_New_Friend#Complete_the_Skyscale_Egg_Infusions_collection.
  19. To answer the question the OP posed - as large as possible, preferably with a visible commander. I usually roam and normally head in completely the opposite direction of the zerg.
  20. Beaten to it. As Inculpatus has mentioned, there is already a page on it on the wiki. Quick question, do you have the Sorrow's Lost collection active? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sorrow's_Lost I ask this because one of the missing Oracle cards is called "The Forager" It is obtained by interacting with this interesting bookshelf. I'm just wondering if you don't have Sorrow's Lost active is the bookshelf working as intended? i.e nothing happens until you are have the Sorrow's lost collection active?
  21. Ah excellent a stealth patch 🙂 I shall log in. Thank you. Edit - Worked for me too. Thank you Devs (and Rubi).
  22. Any sign of a fix for this? Couldn't see one in your lastest patch notes.
