  1. You might think that. Except it doesn't require you to look at the wiki. My post above was to assist the individuals who might be struggling to work out what to do despite Taimi and Blish actively telling you what to do via in game audio (which is also repeated via text in the chat window), along with mission aims situated in the information panel to the right of the screen and pop ups, which occur as you gain more and more abilities for Blish's arm as you progress through the mission, telling you what each ability does. Oh and if you didnt see those pop ups Taimi and Blish again tell you what they are. So no, whilst you may think what you think, you are wrong in your assumption. It isn't broken. More a case I think of people blundering in and ignoring the information being given to them. A case of RTFI.
  2. Speaking as someone who has run 12 characters through this story episode, I really cannot understand the issues you are experiencing. Whilst I appreciate it might have bugged for you, I've never had any problems with this part of the story. Blish's arm, (don't know where you came up with the idea of a "suit") isn't supposed to have unlimted power. It will overheat and you will have to allow it time to cool down. It also has a set number of stun bolts, though you have unlimited reloads when you have used up all the shots. Perhaps you need to read the wiki to understand what to do, though heaven knows why you cannot understand how to use the arm in game, since things pop up telling you what each skill does as you gain them. It is supposed to be tactical, rather than rush in and kill everything in sight instantly. If you chose to rush in, you will pay the price with the awakened summoning reinforcements. If you run out of Bombs, you can go back to Canach and get some more. Anyway, here is the wiki link to assist you... https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forearmed_Is_Forewarned_(Living_World_Season_4)
  3. The Claw of Jormag is an easy fix. Make the Icewall immune to mount damage and EMPs so that players have to hit it themselves. Then make the area surrounding the Claw where the final phase take place an area of immense cold, where you will die within seconds. The only time it lifts is when the Golems have delivered enough bombs to break the Claws wall and players can rush in to damage. HP wise the Claw of Jomag is fine, its the bypassing of the mechanics that isn't.
  4. I'll just leave this here and then you can close the thread... 😀 https://youtu.be/jzj6b2YV2aA
  5. Caithe appears in the Sylvari dream which you enter just after creating your character. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fighting_the_Nightmare Similarly you also meet Zojja after creating your Asura https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Explosive_Intellect
  6. If the map is an expansion map or living world map, the first thing I do is follow the story right through to the end within that map. A lot of these maps are meant to be discoverd by the storyline, a prime example is Tangled Depths. If you follow the story through, in the case of Tangled Depths, it takes you through the majority of the areas and leads you to most of the important waypoints. The rest, you can fill in after the story from these areas. If the map is a core world map and not at that point part of the storyline, I tend to explore around the edges of the map until I come back to the point I started at. It's a habit I picked up from playing Everquest. Sticking high on the zone wall was a good way to avoid the big bad nasties who you knew inhabited the central area of the map. Another thing I always do and always mention to my guildmates, is I always check behind waterfalls for loot, enemies or secret passageways.
  7. I do sympathise with the OP somewhat, having only 20 achievments and having to do 20 to complete the overall group is rather stingy on the part of Anet. It would be nice to have two or three extra achievments for people to choose from to complete the 20. That said I've decided to take part in PvP for the first time since 2016, by doing two matches a day. So far I've won 3 out of 4 with a rather nasty condition build dagger/dagger Soulbeast (thank you Lord Hizen) and had a bit of fun watching Mechanists and Necromancers die a slow death. I've laughed in the face of thieves who have gone stabbity stab stab and then wondered why Im not dead and Soulbeasts who have tried to Rapid fire me to death with a similar non-dead result. I might just get to like this 😂 Edit - Well I bit the bullet and just went for it. It was actually quite good fun, out of the 10 games I played I won (well the team did) 7 and lost 3. It was quite good fun.
  8. I was about to report this as a bug when I saw this post. As you've mentioned the Revenant Elite Skill, Rite of the Great Dwarf isn't being rendered properly when DX11 is used. It still appears correctly when activated and and DX9 is selected. Looking closely at the effect under DX9 it appears that there are two "skins" applied to the character when it is activated? One appears to be a pale white or yellowish glow and the second is a stone effect. Under DX11 it looks like the stone effect is absent or not being rendered properly and as a result we are seeing the pale white/yellowish "skin" on its own.
  9. Thank you for sorting out the issues with Ranger pets, long overdue. Could someone take a look at Soulbeast Daggers, both main and offhand and see how theyre performing overall. Some nice changes to the PVE mode. Sure we can over analyse them, but in the main the average player is going to benefit quite a bit from this. Hopefully the WvW and PvP Devs are taking note
  10. Just had three crashes in a row. EU Servers. 1st one I had arrived in Divinities reach at the Crown Pavillion Waypoint. Turned and ran into the portal taking me to the Queens Pavilion. Loadin screen came up, the little loading circle was in the bottom right hand corner. Crashed with the email us the crash report box popping up. Logged back in. Managed to get into the Crown Pavilion. My guild mate was in a seperate instance so I created a party. Tried joining them and was told that instance was full. Waiting about 3 minutes. Tried again and it allowed me to transfer. Loading screen came up, little loading circle appeared. Crashed with the serious error email report box popping up again. Third time, logged in from character select since it told me I was in the Queens Pavilion. Crashed on the loading screen again, with yes you guessed it the Serious error email report box again. Fourth time logging in I landed on the map and instantly left. Wasn't going to have it crash on me again. My computer has been running fine for months. I never have a crash. It's á server side issue.
  11. Juvenile Siamoth is a nice one. to use As it is a Stout pet it will increase your toughness by +200 and Vitality by +100 It also has Maul ability that hits twice whether or not you are merged or unmerged. Couple that with the Greatsword Maul (and refresh with Hilt bash) and you are looking at hitting a target with 4 Mauls in very quick succession - thats a lot of damage.
  12. It will be fine. Don't forget - Fire Elemental is required for:- The Tyrian Service Medal Nevermore I Nevermore III Rodgort I Hope III Incinerator III The Flameseeker Prophecies III : The Chosen The Svanir Chief is required for:- The Flame Seeker Prophecies I: The Experimental shield Incinerator III: Spark The Predator III: The Hunter Behemoth is required for:- The Tyrian Service Medal Skyscale Lost Mad Armory: Last rites Nevermore III: The Raven Staff Twilight III: Dusk Nevermore IV: The Raven Staff Sunrise I: The Experimental Daysword Howler III: Howl The Flameseeker Prophecies III: The Chosen Hope IV: The Catalyst Great Jungle Wurm is required for:- The Tyrian Service Medal Hope I: Research Nevermore I: Ravenswood branch The Moot III: The Energizer That's more than enough Legendary/Quests to keep players regularly doing those events.
  13. The flipside to this is that if you are a player that doesn't have the Infinite Watchknight Tonic, you can now get it for free by doing the achievments and thereby saving yourself 25 laurels and 15 gold (or other currencies if you choose to purchase by other means). Seems a nice item for those that don't have it.
  14. This isn't acceptable really. Windows 11 was released to manufacturing in June 2021. It was released to general availability in October 2021. It has got to the stage where most pre-built machines come with Windows 11 by default. The Official GW2 Support page on their site states that GW2 requires Windows 7 or Better (64 Bit only) to run. Barring a rediculous arguement about the exact meaning of the words "better" and "later" most right minded people would go with the view that better means later in these circumstances. For reference Steam Stats show that 21.23% of their users are running Windows 11 64bit. So we have some people in this thread stating it works fine, others that state it isn't working at all and yet this OS is now the defacto OS on new Windows personal computers. We have GW2 support saying nope tough it doesnt run on Windows 11. So @Josh Davis.7865 when are we going to see some sort of openess as to what is going on with Windows 11 and GW2. Can we have some sort of official announcement, and if it is supported how about some sort of joined up working between your Developers and your Support teams?
  15. They're also available from the last chest at the end of the repeatable End of Dragons PvP and WvW reward track, the Canthan armour box https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Canthan_Armor_Box you can also get the Ancient Canthan armour from the same chest.
  16. Something a bit different - the Lord Hizen Dagger/Dagger and torch build. There isnt much in openworld content that causes it problems. It is a beast, high condition damage and survivbility. It can solo champions with ease and some bounties too. Movement isn't all over the place and you can literally stand there and facetank most stuff 🙂 This is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsiZxWl90fM&list=PLpBh4KskobjRJ6LHNSDllfAK2GDjELnIl&index=2 This is the build on GW2Skills.net http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?POwAgi%2FlZweYRMJGKeqXfP3REH-zRJYkRLfZkZK0bBo3BIctwbh3PN-e
  17. ^^^ seems a reasonable way to advertise help to newer players. If as you say you are only posting messages about 10 minutes apart then that isn't really excessive. Are you cutting and pasting the same message into your chat window or manually typing it? Could it be that the chat window is detecting the cut and past and hits you with the supression filter? Try manually typing it?
  18. Its pretty much ok as it is. The only things I would agree with is the fact that loosing fishing stacks when swapping a map isn't good. The obvious solution to this is would be to allow the stacks to move with you if you actively select the swap map icon when it pops. Moving to any other map should remove the stacks. The other thing I would alter is allow the dusk/dawn fish to be caught for a period starting and ending 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after the dusk/dawn period, giving a 15 minute window rather than a 5 minute window.
  19. As I said in the email you sent, glad to help, but give the gold to a new player in a starting area for me. They need it :)
  20. The first picture is in Fields of Ruin. It is a cave that is slightly north of the Wreckage of Bloodgorge Watch Waypoint. It leads north towards the Ebonhawke Delegation Poi The second image is in Lornar's pass and is at a Poi called Ironhammer's Crypt. If you go right to the back of the cave you will see that wooden crossbeam thing. The third image is easy, it's the tunnel leading away from the doorway into Canach's club in Arborstone. In the picture the yellowy area is the main part of the area towards where the fishing vendors are situated. I'm struggling a little on the last one.
  21. In answer to your questions 1) Ranger, Warrior and Thief, but thats because I know what they are and don't have to look at the wiki to work out what their skills do. 2) Not all of them. I don't like playing Guardian because I find it far too easy to play. Though saying that I've played Firebrand for less than 2500 hours so realistically I might not have a proper feel of that Elite. 3) Ideas? Sure, let me know what time the next "Not so secret" Developer chat channel is and I will post them there.......
  22. Think the OP really needs to go visit the "Not so secret anymore" chat channel and suggest his thoughts be implemented by the Balance Developer... of course they might need to time it carefully in between the Dev playing their Firebrand for the 2501th hour and them typing /wiki what is a ranger....
  23. It's at times like this that I feel really sorry for all the people in the music/graphic/programming/story departments at Anet who keep coming out with some amazing work only to have the balance team come up with stuf like this. It's like have a Ferrari with a steering wheel made of monkey poo.
  24. double post.. Lol you just know that someone was dropped on their head as a child when they sad face your double post.
  25. Awww you got me again.... ok where are the real professional skills patch notes?.... no seriously, where are they?
