  1. Jokes aside, it would be nice if they added a zoom in/out feature to previews. They have it for mounts, so it proves it can be implemented. There's been several times when I was attempting to preview something on a character and part of it was cut off. I think the system could use a small overhaul.
  2. We already have racial themed mounts though? Asura: Exo-suit Mounts pack - Synergetic Mount Skins - Primus Beta Norn: ShiverPeaks Mount Pack - Primeval Mount Skins Sylvari: Mordrem Alpha - Primal Spirit Charr: ??? Human: ??? I would like to see more of themed sets though and more individual themed mounts. Charr mounts could be diesel punk inspired, I'm not certain what human themed mounts would be though. Perhaps they'd have a little pack to represent human adventurous spirit or something.
  3. I am not unhappy with the amount of content we got. I am still chewing on the achievement list from the first SotO release. I enjoyed the maps, there's plenty of people around and I enjoy the metas. For me two things really soured the experience: the relics which have done away with flavor in favor of a more homogenized approach. The story itself is just terrible. But that isn't quite what was asked. This is about Dollar spent vs Worth gained. Did I get my money's worth? Based on how I play, and I am still not finished the content, yes, it is still worth it. But moving forward I would be more likely not to pre-order.
  4. I've noticed this too, and I couldn't figure out if it was my mount or some one else's until recently. Seems they all make this sound. Is it a bug, is it a feature? I hope they'll let us know!
  5. Making legendaries more accessible to the newest player base helps give newer player a taste of what the game has to offer with regards to long term goals. It might help for players with shorter attention spans, or time available for farming. While I have made 3 legendaries of my own, I was delighted to see a legendary kit available for one I had wanted. I just think this was a positive move all around.
  6. The dialogue in my ear when I am trying to do an unrelated event on the other side of the map is supremely annoying and I don't know what the purpose of it is. Did people once complain they had no way of knowing when a meta was happening? Maybe just a little announcement across the top of the screen would be good enough? It's extremely irritating and it's lowered my desire to play in the content that contains it. As if being festooned with rambling monologues in the recent story steps themselves weren't bad enough.
  7. I would love this. Maybe call it the Mystic Library. They could make it a craftable item too - send the commander on an adventure across all these maps to breathe new life in to them.
  8. Omg bat balloons would be really cute! Or ghost balloons! I like this idea, hopefully they will consider it for next year!
  9. Orr used to be the end game where some of the most difficult mobs were. When the game was still new, many folks I knew were too scared to go there. I think power creep changes the aspect of danger that used to be there. The Arah dungeon, and the personal story do a good job of bringing to light why that area is still considered ominous to the npcs. But after that, and all the things the commander has gone through, faced and defeated, I don't think Orr will ever contain the horror it once did. Arenanet would have to revive Zhaitan or something.
  10. I actually do not like the dragon legendaries, though I do like their special effects. However, outside of their stats, Legendaries have another advantage which makes it very much worth getting them: they can be reskinned without a transmutation charge. So, it really is worth making them, if their appearance stops you.
  11. A way to display achievements (ie; Gw1 Hall of Monuments) - a system which could potentially be added to the player home instance.
  12. The thing about the grind is that it always has been optional. What is bothering me now is that with the recent release of SoTO it's the main achievements. I'm just burned out at the moment. If I want whatever it is, I will do the grind, and I do want the thing but recently I just don't have the energy. I wouldn't ask them to remove it however.
  13. I feel sheepish saying this but I have been logging in less and less. The story for this expansion was not really engaging to me and some of it really lost me. The Relics disappointed me. The new Wizard Vault thing - I am not sure how to feel about it. When do they cycle in new rewards for it? Why is crafting of all things part of the daily rotation? Every release has had grind of some kind, but something about it this time around really loses my interest. I log in, decide if I want to do dailies, and then log out. Before the launch I spent about two weeks going through my roster of 30 characters preparing their builds, gear and appearance for the expansion. I could just be burned out. It has been 11 years after all. It might just be time for a break.
  14. I've ignored them. My favorite class is engie and a lot of the relics don't proc with engie abilities. Of the new features, this is my least favorite and I believe the criticism people have for them is earned.
  15. People have wanted more ways to show prestige; of effort or wealth. I think this fits the bill. It makes me wince but if you want it you will work for it.
  16. I don't want to waste too much more of your time It did add the ability to use new weapon/specialization combinations which is a new system. It did change the dailies with the new wizard vault, and offers much better rewards for the time you spend playing. It is a new system. It did add new mechanics to the skyscale and griffon, which can be used on maps outside of the expansion. It did add relics - which is more than a simple separation of the last slot in a rune set. They have changed the traits that go with the matching runes. They've also added entirely new ones , tied exclusively to the story. It did add 3 new maps, two of which have a really engaging metas - if the allure of the jaw dropping beauty of the maps don't interest you alone. It did add a new strike. It did add a new story and introduce new characters. I was one of those that pre-ordered but I honestly had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. It really feels heftier than what they told us to expect. I think you should give it a shot OP!
  17. When I first started playing Warframe I had a similar experience. I went to the forums, absolutely exasperated and frustrated only to be told to look at the wiki, or search youtube for guides. These things were helpful but they didn't necessarily help moment to moment. After playing a game for so long, it's hard to remember what it was like to start from nothing. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. People are usually happy to answer questions in map chat in game for those "in the moment" kind of questions. You should never hesitate to ask. You can also make posts in the Players Helping Player section of the official forums if you have more indepth questions about what build is best, or what crafting to pursue etc.
  18. The shoulder had a strap that goes under the armpit, that is where the dye goes. It's hard to see but it's there. I am hoping these will eventually be a part of a bigger set. But I have noticed poor dye channels - disappointed to learn the other armors also have poor channels.
  19. It's like birthdays in real life, celebrated less the older you get! I was a little surprised by the lack of anything new but I also don't know what more they could add outside of a new title.
  20. It's been nice to just explore, and find some random ledge to roost on and watch the scenery. Absolutely beautiful.
  21. I have found this to be an ongoing issue with the story, even from Living World and other Expansions - playing with even just one other person runs in to technical issues or is just relatively not fun. Playing together is one of the things that keeps some of my friends playing but doing story mode together is not fun. While it's understandable that an extra player wouldn't have as much agency as the story runner, why are they unable to see dialogue choices? Or they can't interact with important elements (example "finding clues" in one chapter could have been more fun if we were both allowed to find them. Instead the second player can be detected by the people in the camp while not actually contributing?) Finally, the story stop progressing for my friend when they missed a dialogue box due to me going through a portal to a fight in the same instance. They tried re-logging but despite their story directing them to the same step as mine, it wouldn't work. I know making the story parts playable in a meaningful way by multiple people is a complex issue but it's been an ongoing one since the start. I love the game, and all the hard work and love that's been put in to it, but I would love to be able to properly enjoy it with other people during story play throughs.
  22. OP, you are rewarded for any daily you achieve in the form of the new daily currency. It's a little different from the past it's true, but you are able to save up for greater rewards, and you can still use the currency to buy the gold if you wanted to. I don't have a strong feeling about it yet as it's only been a couple of days. I mean I now have the option of getting new armor skins, mount skins, emotes, or purchasing the gold with the new currency. That is a lot more choice than we had before.
