  1. The visuals are toned down on this one because it doesn't take as much effort as the other legendary trinkets. This legendary is very very easy to get and therefore not really something special, something deserving of legendary status. The effects are fine! Go do some of the ones that actually need to be earned.
  2. The one you can farm the most money with actually. Until it gets nerfed to the ground... *sigh* I currently enjoyed the Drizzlewood Coast meta again due to the current revisit events. I remembered how much money you can make easily with this meta. Also I like the idea of the bit of WvW mechanics sprinkled into it.
  3. AP actually had a purpose back when dungeons were popular. You had to have at least 10k to join LFG groups or you'll be kicked upon joining. You could filter out bad and good players back then aside from filtering out the good and bad based on their classes (ranger as a big example. Especially with a bear and that totally annoying bow.) Unfortunately I currently only have 32,491 AP and I worry about it so much because I should have 40k at least like all the others that play since 2012 too... I feel pretty worthless having such a little amount of them. I feel like I constantly need to proof myself to others.
  4. I'm certain we'll need mystic coins for it probably. I mean the last "return to *insert living story season chapter here*" achievements gave you heaps of it and the game normally doesn't give away stuff like that in such a big amount. So stocking them up might be a good idea.
  5. You know, you can call me Hunter, right? 😉 And no, it's not toxic. Everyone else is toxic by judging me silently so that I always get anxiety and panic attacks induced by other players. I feel like I constantly have to proove myself, that I'm playing since release, have certain prestige items (which I don't show off as much as some others do because I keep the looks of my characters based on their backstory and personality) and my skill to everyone. I just want to be left alone completely without everyone approaching me all the time or not moving from certain spots like harvest nodes, traders, the mystic forge in the vip lounges, map completion points etc after they're done. I just hate that so much and so I usually spam effects around them or hover with my skyscale above them until they leave me alone and let me do whatever I need to do in peace. I hate approaching others and others approaching me. However it would only be toxic if I were to do that on roleplayers which I don't do. Only thing i do there is sometimes hiding somewhere observing the roleplay with interest.
  6. And another reason to get this skin for me so I can annoy people with the wingflap so they can go away so I can use resource nodes, exploration stuff and services in peace. I hate when people don't move away from these as it makes me anxious to the extreme because I'm being judged all the time. However this might not be so nice for roleplayers then... 😕
  7. Very sad you can't use everything because not everyone has friends in this game or any active friends at all. My friend list has been dead for about 6 years and since I have had no luck with finding new ones so far I guess I have to skip this mount... As someone who's 99% of the time solo it's quite a slap in the face. I really hate being forced into groups or to coop with half the players either being toxic as kitten while the other half is not knowing what they are doing at all due to being too inexperienced. Especially if everyone just silently judges me and yells at me anyways.
  8. I'd like the idea that it can be used solo as well since not everyone of us has a friend. Some of us have friendlists that ahve been inactive for about 6 years and no luck finding new ones. I like the mount so far but it's sad I can't use it to the fullest...
  9. because it's boring braindead content that you can even get credit and loot for when afk letting all your pets, turrets and minions take care of while you only stay on auto attack for the whole duration. The devs want to keep this boring event alive by putting grind into it so it won't die like the rest of the previous content. I noticed that a lot of rare LSS5 stuff involved heavy RNG and grind because the other ls episodes along with their maps are now dead and you get the rare stuff quite more easily. They wanted to make the boring lss5 stuff more replayable by adding a lesser RNG chance and higher grind. Even precursors drop far more often than these items. Couldn't be bothered for the precursors as they give me good amounts of money because I already have all legendaries and the Twice Told Legend achievement is only awarded once lol. If I had a second account I'd send them over to that one for the achievement and easy legendaries then. It#s not that I drop a pre every week but every few months I get at least one or two. Might be because I have maxed out MF and always take the sometimes free (usually you'll get sometimes messaged by members of the guild who put it on and have to pay a 50 silver or 5g fee/donation for the service because they're very expensive to craft for some guilds which is understandable as I've but 5kg in many guilds for crafting and donating oer the last few years even though I didn't last long in these despite being the one providing the most for them but they were exploitive a-holes anyways in the end) banner buffs that are placed around along with the masses of boosters I have taking way too much space in my bank. It's crazy how much the RNG scales in living story season 5 (aka Icebrood Saga) compared to older stuff. I think you should be able to buy this stuff with tokens and gold like you can with the runic armor stuff or like with raids where once you cleared that boss you can buy its mini/weapons etc. Like when you killed a certain strike boss at least once you can buy the rare stuff with a certain amount of strike currency. Could also be working for Dragonstorm thing where you can buy the token needed for the eye with corresponding currency or/and kill proofs. That would be very nice and makes boring content less grindy.
  10. Well, call me an elitist then but some of us want to get stuff like that done properly and fast instead of waisting time which could be spend for work, sleep or drinking. Also I have an insecurity which leads to me always having to proove and declare my skill because I feel like a failure all the time and usually give myself the fault for every group failure even though nobody thinks taht way at all but my anxiety and paranoia constantly make me feel everyone's judging me. Dude, girl, or whatever you identify as (I don't care but you might correct me if you want because I'm respectful on that sensitive matter), you didn't need to quote the entire thing but you cut out my ending a bit and tailored it for your own means. When you're refering to something, then at least don't cut out the whole sentence. That's what I meant. It completely cuts off the context and distorts the original. Have a nice day though
  11. Well, then you might be joining different groups that usually have a fail rate of 80% due to them being training but even training runs can kick you. However I'd advise to not kitten up and at leadt have 95% of the snowcrows benchmark or chances you'll be kicked are very high. ^^ Also the quote function can put in the full quote, for your info 😉
  12. Well not everybody plays scourge (or necro at all due to it being a class that needs no skill) and since all the squads want those for cheesing the encounter it's only logical it's dead now. Removing the public instance version was a mistake. Also not everyone has much time at their disposal and only does the daily log in paired with event stuff. Especially as the agme is boring for veterans these days because there#s nothing to do anymore unless you raid every week or do fractals every day but when you got all legendary armors, the legendary fractal backpack, all fractal collections, all fractal achievements done and all legendary weapons it's very boring. Only thing I could do is WvW atm but ping is terrible as EU servers aren't really the greatest and my server's community isn't really active anymore due to a break the leading commanders and guilds take for a few months because of exams and job stuff. Also WvW is imbalanced and PvP is a different topic... PvP is well... There's a massive bot problem right now. However once you get all the achievements of a "new" update done (which can be doen in less than 1 hour or 3 hours depending on each update) usually nobody revisits it again. Even Silverwastes RIBA and chest farm have cmpletely died even though it's recommended for gold farming. You only see like 1 or 3 lfg entries there every 12 hours of which most likely all of thsoe have full maps. Maybe it's just because I blocked what feels like thousands of people which might be why lfg is dead there or the fact that I play during NA prime times even though I live in EU but I noticed that lfg is suually dead or scammy (full maps everywhere or maps that fail).
  13. Well necro is just like ranger. The best option for new players and the reason why we kicked people from dungeons back then. Also necro is complete easy mode yolo roll face on keyboard while ranger is just pew pew from a distance while the annoying bear holds off everything and is very annoying in group content because rangers still don't know what pet on passive is and that the tank should pull stuff. Also arngers use the knockback far too often when it's not needed knocked mobs out of the burst damage stack point instead of using it properly on bosses with a cc bar. Both necro and ranger require zero skill at all. (and to refer to your signature. Failure is not okay and no option. If you get wipe in content like raids chances are 99% that you'll get kicked instantly 😉 That's why I avoid failing and groups that fail a lot as those usually end up in people leaving all the time or people insulting eachother)
  14. If you're dps and go down easily that's just normal because for those juicy benchmarks you need to sacrifice self defense. But you can still solo everything with a full dps meta build intended for raid content (even though you're missing out on specific perma boons like alacrity from alacrens or boon chronos and other stuff like constant healing from healers of a good and recommended composition tailred for specific bosses and wings). I only play raid builds and I solo everything except the 10 man stuff because that's obviously not intended to be soloed and more intended to be done in under 3 minutes (or even less if you have actually good players with you who know their stuff). I used to clear every wing (back when only 4 of them were released) each week in 1 to 2 hours. Also a mraid meta build is very useful for occasional group events like metas and world bosses because 95% of all people (at least the other fellow veterans playing since launch) play (or should play) snowcrows meta anyways so it synergizes well and you'll usually be looked down on or insulted if you're not playing by that. So if you have a dps build and have a hard time either get a healer or just git gud. It#s not like the game is hard or anything ^^
  15. Willbender for me kinda felt more clumsy and more likely to be downed than power DH or HFB. But I love the two handed sword and martial arts stuff though. I don't hate it but it's not my favorite. It's kinda meh.
  16. I actually main 3 classes (yes that is possible). Those are Guardian, Necromancer and Ranger (well... actually only because of Druid and the healing abilities because I love the healing role and I'm an expert with that but overall I despise ranger because of the noob status that is still there from the early days of gw2). I have 35+ characters of which a lot are guardians(6), necromancers (7) and strangely engineers (4) although I don't play engineer that often but I create characters based on their backstory and the class that fits them best. I also try to base their builds around a theme but every character end up having a snowcrows build anyways because it's meta and the most efficient. Although snowcrows builds are made for raids and I sadly haven't been able to raid in 2 years (but I'm trying to get back to it but for that I need a laid back non toxic guild but I have no luck with that) and I'm solo 100% these days anyways it's still a good thing in meta event squads or you'll get flamed because a lot of people in those squads have arc dps running and insult you afterwards. If you're in a strike or fractal team you're much more likely to be insulted and kicked immediatly despite knowing all the mechanics and paying attention to those but according to them benchmarks matter more than paying attention to mechanics that can kill you if you follow a golem training rotation. But back to the inital topic. I have 2 thieves (used to have 3 but the 3rd had to sacrifice himself for a story project I'm writing on) and although I couldn't enjoy the last beta that much due to no time I absolutely loved the specter spec. A support thief is a good idea aside from the regular boon thief. I'm not a fan of thieves as they're usually very squishy but I liked Daredevil and I even more like the Specter specialization. It also fits great to one of my thieves and their character development story. ❤
  17. Mine is virtuoso based on the beta. even though I don't play mesmer that much it was quite fun to play and I'll probably use mesmer more when the expansion launches. Number 2 goes to Mechanist because I like the idea and it was fun as well although I rarely ply an engineer. The number 3 is vindicator because I like the legend mechanic and the use of a greatsword. Bonus for specter because I like the barrier mechanic a lot.
  18. If one actively played the Halloween even and grinded the Labyrinth daily for 10 hours one would have the Halloween plushie in no time. Sadly I couldn't be all to active this year due to having problems with my account and other stuff unrelated to the game. Also 99% of lfg labyrinth runs excluded me as they were either all full or only did green doors (which is a shame because bosses drop also loot and it's fun doing them) or mounts weren't allowed when pew pew non pet on passive rangers were allowed instead that can nuke everything just as any mount (very annoying for actual decent classes and build that need a decent level of skill). Also there were squads no allowing legendary gear which also excluded me as a full legendary. However I love collecting these plush dragon trinkets although they have terrible stats (except for the one with diviners) not used in current meta builds. I don't know why but I've always loved collecting festival stuff. A legendary trinket would be very unlikely because legendary trinkets so far required much more effort (excluding the one you get after playing all of the return to x/y achievements because that's very easy as those weekly episode achievements only take like 2 or 3 hours to complete) but it could be a nice idea with the release of EoD introducing a new festival and eventually revealing the last elder dragon that was unknown and making a trinket based on that dragon. Even a collection achievement for obtaining the festival plushies might be great. It could award something like a unique mount skin or something since obtaining skins through achievements has become very rare sadly.
  19. Be happy Anet doesn't force crafting material storage through a monthly subscription upon us. But still the amount of kitten you get even with max bag slots and max inventory space is insane. There's still a lot of stuff you can't store like teleport to friend (everything is bloating with these for me because I don't have friends, don't want to pay lfg port squads (or don't use lfg in general due to social anxiety) with 50 to 100g as they require usually as a fee, have 35+ characters that are all several years old and get them constantly as birthday gift, have 300 from black lion chests back when you could get these from them and occasional free giveaways. Main thing however that is taking up so much space on one of my mained characters are the books (because it fits to his backstory) and a few collection items (like for the legendary armor collection for example) as deleting them even when unlocked could cause issues like I had with past collections so I keep them until I complete everything from now on. For the books something as a library system like in ESO could work very well. Once a text/book/piece of lore is unlocked you can view it in some type of codex again.
  20. Had the same and it was done in like 5 minutes although I have very slow internet (thanks German internet). In less than 1 minute it was playable when I noticed the other stuff takes longer I closed the launcher and opened it again which caused it to run through fast. I usually do this when it takes longer past the playable percent as it often helps. Also I never click play when it isn't fully patched as the game froze multiple times during loading screen (infinite loading bug) in the past after a new content update which could only be canceled through Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then logout and relog into the PC again.
  21. Trade stuff on the trading post is anon and therefore cannot be reported. However in ESO it's not anon and you can report manipluations very easily. The downside of ESO is that you can't sell stuff easily as in GW2 unless you're in one of those toxic trade guilds that kick you out fast if you don't play sacrifice your real life and make a specific amount of profit for them. This is why I prefer the GW2 trading system. However I think there should be something ingame that prevents this manipulation stuff. But then in the end flipping has always been a thing and nobody bothered until now. At least expensive stuff back then from 9 to 7 years ago is now kitten cheap like never before. The economy of the game however is still a mess nowadays. Back then ascended materials sold for much more than today and now T$ stuff brings more profit than T6. Still manipulation should be more monitored.
  22. Could you please fix the forced windowed mode when the settings are set on fullscreen? It makes tabbing out very painful. Thanks ❤️
  23. I crashed before when logging in 20 minutes ago right after loading into a Grothmar Valley but it was resolved after restarting the game after sending a report. However when trying to donate kitten to the guild through the norn guy in the guild hall it just crashes all the time. DX11 beta is enabled so it might be a problem coming from that. (guess I just revert back due to all the bugs although I lose 200+ fps then but at least I can run Gw2 Hook again to remove the ugly fog which is a major fps hog plus the graphics look better although I have like 80 to 160 fps which is kinda meh...) Anyone having similar issues? I just want to donate some stuff that doesn't sell good anymore of which I have kitten tons of as it might benifit this completely dead guild that died 4 years ago where only 3 members are sometimes online now as I have bad luck with finding another one but I don't want to be removed due to inactivity there so I donate stuff every few weeks nowadays.
  24. I've always asked myself this question and I'd love to hear if I'm not the only one. Any scientifical or lore wise explanations? I'd love to ask the devs but I don't know where to ask such a question as the tumblr blog always seems to ignore my stuff. I imagine it kinda similar to the cinematic in LSS2 in "The Machine".
