3 times this past week, mostly like because it's a weekly, at Maw after the fight, all my loot, including the bouncy box, is invisible. I have to mouse over each loot in my inventory and read it to make sure I'm opening a box and not equipping some blue chest piece over my nice armor. Only happened at Maw, and only when it was crowded. I've never seen this at any other event in 11 years. Edit: Tonight was the first time it happened away from Maw. I logged out after Maw and logged another character in, did a heart in Oasis, then ported to FE and got loot from a few things and it was still invisible. I logged out and back in on the same character, and I can see the loot again. Though strangely, when I logged back in, it put me way down in the newbie starting area, instead of up at the reactor where I logged out? 🤔

They seem to sell animations now, and give them as rewards, but alas, we'll never see the return of thee idle animation.

I dodged and did combos doing Maw just as a matter of course. Then I logged in, or I logged in first. Then I came in 2nd in Sanctum Sprint. 🙂

Same. Happened this morning on the Special tab after I completed and cleared the Amnytas meta. The icon in the upper left still shows [1] and the Special tab still has a red [!] as if there is something going on there. I've completed all Special tasks except the new strike one that dropped on 9/26/23 [26/9/23]. Tried quitting the game and restarting, still there.

I'm technically unable to start completing weekly achievements on my account. Just bounce the instances once a week. Drop a dummy patch. Anything really. 🤓

I could go try to look at the API stuff, though not much of a programmer any more (or probably never was one). I did find this, but it's just POIs and things like that.

Anyone know of any sort of interactive map, or better relational database of maps and mobs? It's one area where the wiki doesn't seem to work very well. It wants to group things by name and not by a base type. I can't seem to ask the question "show me where the centaurs are anywhere in the world". It's always a page on centaurs, that talks about centaur lore. Then at the bottom, there's real specific links where you can find where "Bob's Uncle's Sister Centaurs" might be located, but that's different from "Bob's Cousin's Best Friend Saw Ferris Pass Out At 31 Flavors Centaurs". 🤔 Ideally, a mapgenie type map for GW2, but I'd even take some raw "show me the centaur" data and it just spits out names of regions and areas or something.

I'd use "These Go To 11".

This was true for the monthlies from like 10 years ago. You could power through them in a day or two. Jumping puzzle counts, all the other things, then have nothing else to do with the month. These are also targeted to allow people who can maybe only play on the weekend or a night or two during the week to complete things, and help them achieve progress if they can't be players that login and complete dailys.

If there’s a group of 5 of you, do you have each person open on their turn, so each person is opening every 5th rift? Do you instruct them to “not” use their motivation until it’s their turn? The idea being to spread the cost around? When I do a T3 rift when lots of people are there, I get a bonus if I’m the only one who uses a motivation, or “also” uses one. If I don’t, I get my 7-11 ish. I never get a bonus when someone else uses a motivation. I think the only problem I have with the system is a motivation should be paying for more essences. I have more money than time, so I would like to speed up my essence collection. If I have more time than money, I can take my 7-11. Where it breaks for me is needing the key to make the rift go at all. I think anyone should be able to open any kind of rift and make it go to get the 7-11. Motivation should just be for the bonus. That way there wouldn’t be this tendency to start gate keeping rifts the way you suggest, but I guess I kinda get why you want to, given the motivations are required to make the rift go.

GW3 when and if it happens will end up not being for me. Having said that, I’d much rather you all get your GW3 than something like an engine or art overhaul that would allow them to “fix” things. At least GW3 if not for me would leave a few things I like about GW2 intact.

I think it's random for everyone. Some people got it in the first nest. I got mine by the fourth nest I found in the second map, Amnytas. I disabled arcdps am temporarily not using blishhud. I assumed after my first crash starting combat it was most likely related to them. So far so good.

Oh I get it! It's like when I turned 5th level with my ranger in BG3 and my bear didn't automatically become super bear with the space helmet! I had to make a new bear and then it was super bear. Okay, that makes sense. So actually, by design. They should probably just force all existing maps to close for those rifts when it rolls over for the week. Give everyone an hour to vacate.

But, a zone shouldn't run out of rifts. The two new zones don't run out of rifts. They just keep showing up. So I'm going to point my finger at QA and not bots, while bots are low hanging fruit and a temporary solution. 3 weeks.

Do they exist in those two places, but you just can't track them? Anyone slapping together a map or something where we can just wait around at some key places for rifts?

Me! And I bring motivation! Good, bad, indifferent- I’m choosing to follow the path of what I have to make 1 set of armor. I’ll evaluate after that what method I’ll use to make the other two sets. I definitely don’t have a super solo build, so could use help! 😊

I can't seem to find the spellcrafting one, even seeing where the dot is on that map, there's no sense of height. Is it floating in the sky way above where the dot is on the 2 dimensional map? I'm at the invisible pillar one trying to find it, so far not so good there either. 😞
