  1. I don't get why so many people find these faces ugly. They're not. I think some of them should be able to adjust more though, there are sliders which do nothing or close to nothing for one or two of the new faces. Still not ugly though. Here are a few pics of the faces adjusted with sliders. https://i.imgur.com/sQQ2JJT.jpg - I think this one is nice. It looks a bit more mature than most faces. However, it's almost impossible to adjust more than few details. https://i.imgur.com/uh99bok.jpg - One of my favorites among the new faces. You can adjust it quite much and I think it's very pretty. https://i.imgur.com/RoM18wr.jpg - Face is cute but can't be adjusted that much. https://i.imgur.com/4NSVBZJ.jpg - My other favorite face among the new ones. Can be adjusted quite much with sliders. https://i.imgur.com/rnFR45T.jpg - I'm not a fan of faces that has very strong makeup, but this one is ok and quite pretty. I wish that you could change the direction of the way her mouth corners point though. https://i.imgur.com/z4gxNAu.jpg - This one doesn't even need a lot of adjustment to look cute.
  2. Pretty sure they've used one of the original faces for Akane.
  3. I know they have said that they won't add new races but... why give so many Tengus in Cantha an unique appearence? Almost all non-playable races have faces which are almost identical. The Tengu we have seen before all have (sort of) the same face and build. This gives me the vibe that we will be able to play as a Tengu sometime in the future.
  4. It's cute, yes. But definitely not an owl.
  5. Because chars battling in swimsuits is a bit.. absurd.
  6. I had no idea the maximum was 73(!) I have 22 and I think that is A LOT since I rarely play as most of them. I have one main, which I play as 70% of the time and then five that share about 28% and the remaining sixteen ones get 2% of my gaming time. I understand some people may alternate between their characters more than me, but 72? C'mon. That must be enough for most.
  7. Five times? That's not a lot. I love belcher's bluff, got the title from it a few years ago. There's some guides that can help if you google it. But it takes some time.
  8. Yes, if they make it so it's only usable at beaches or in cities.
  9. I actually think the hearts makes a map better. It adds something personal to it. Sure, when it comes to the repeatable ones it can feel "grindy" at times. Like when doing the Skyscale collection for example.
  10. I'm looking forward to this! Especially the boats. I hope there'll be a new fractal where you move by boat and fight enemies from it and also the possibility to explore large parts of the map(s) using the waterway. Even if we already have skimmer, it'll be nice to bring a companion which the addition of the skiffs will allow. It would also be nice with an event far out at sea where you can fight bosses either from the boat or from underwater OR perhaps it moves and you'll need to alternate between the two. Fishing seems nice as well, even though I've never really understood why it's such a big deal in a lot of mmorpgs. However, I think (and hope) that there'll be a lot of achievements tied to it and that excites me.
  11. Yes, as said by many already; an underwater mount. After that I'd say I'm indifferent.
  12. I'd actually rather discover new cultures among the races that's already in the game, and then be able to play as them (new starter area, new stories that, however, could still connect to the old story around lvl 40-50). I think it should be easier to implement than a new race.
  13. You can spend your time doing other things in the game, just do like one collection per day for the skyscale, it shouldn't take too much time. Or is it really that important to have it within the first week from when it's released? To own it before most other players?People complained like this regarding the griffon as well, and it's not even half of the work that's needed for the skyscale. When you've worked for something during a longer period of time, the reward of getting it actually feels greater.
  14. I’d like to see more armor sets (especially GW1 inspired ones) and new hairstyles and faces.
  15. How old are you? Most things in life takes works and effort, the same thing applies in this game. Don’t you think most of us have a limited time schedule? Work, studies, family life. Few people are full time gamers. If you can’t do the achievement in one day, then just split it it up. It’ll still take less than a week if you spend like 15-30 minutes on it each day. A lot of people would certainly be willing to help with portals and guiding as well. So the “I’m too busy” argument isn’t really working here, it just implies a selfish attitude.
  16. No. Gw2 has potential to continue for a lot of years with new content.
  17. Ooh! I was thinking of creating a "post your mix and n match armor"-thread, but then I found this one! ;) I really liked the one in the old forum, so I hope this one will be as popular. Here's two of mine. Most of my characters have mix and match armor though. Enxari. 18. I choose ogre here, but I'd love to play as a dredge as well. =)
  19. The raptor by design cannot be faster as it has to deal with ground obstacles. The griffon is far faster than gliding and can take you longer distances. Anyone can think of contrived situations where one mount may shine but in general the griffon is the best in a majority of cases a majority of the time. So unless Anet wants to keep making specific situations where another mount is optimal, the other mounts may as well not exist. The raptor is much faster than the griffon when you are on the ground (which you are most of the time.) The griffon is pretty much unless on the ground, because you can't take off from the ground and end up in the sky, because of the endurance bar. The griffon is just good if you are already up high. It's not like in WoW, where you can fly straight up from the ground and stay in the air while being afk.
  20. The raptor is still much faster than the griffon and when riding the griffon above quicksand, for example, which kills you almost instantly when you fall inside it, is not safe, since you can fly for a while but as soon as there's a rise in the environment the griffon will touch the ground since pressing sb for take off consumes all endurance directly. Of course it's easier to keep flying if you are already up high, but that's basically the same as gliding.
  21. I agree. Or give us more time before it automatically kick us out. In one story instance I was in the red area for less than 2 secs and got kicked out. 2 secs is not enough time to leave the red zone, it should be 10s at least.
