    I try to get to popular metas late now, or at least swap maps when I see an overflow map start. Some time it results in a slightly less boring encounter, though mostly still a dull loot fest. Open world is pretty well trashed.

    This loot system rewards me for everything I do, playing is a constant evolution towards a shiny goal, plus I am doing things I enjoy instead of slogging through an encounter over and over. I know this does not work for everyone though. Good luck.

    I played WoW for 10 years, god I hated every thing about that loot system. I play this game because I like this loot system much better. Its the reason many players are here. Let the kids spam chat with their pointless mount skins in the other games.

    These are all issues created by the need to perform in the pug system. We are frequently reminded that if we don’t like that pressure, just form your own group. Seems fair enough.

    Especs are pretty worth while, and a geometrical? Increase in workload. Except, sure 36 specs and counting are not a thing that can work as a balanced choice in this mmo. So getting this far is pretty good, loads of fun to try it all out. This is what makes it more than a living story dlc. So EOD has a lot of holes and deserves some flak, well maybe a lot of flak. Rather crappy as well considering the choice to trash IBS.

    Its like they threw out the art direction, how did they talk themselves into giant green everything. I kind of shudder when I wonder if the next thing is that grotesque amber colored tech everywhere.

    I liked that system WoW introduced where you could turn off experience whenever you liked. Then you could enjoy the leveling game without ummm outleveling it.

    My guess is old content continues to get nerfed as power grows. Trad mmo approach, bleh. We had a pretty good thing going but thats over.

    To enjoy an mmo you will want to put a lot of effort in, even for this one. Or maybe particularly for this one, as its wildly quirky. Ofc, it feels totally normal to me now but that assimilation took some years. Leveling, mmm gonna be bad for folks that expect a good dungeon experience. LFG is just bad, so much wasted potential here. I envy them though, it will be such a wild ride for the ones that commit. Fresh GW2!

    Again, this is really only a problem for players that must be perceived to be doing better than others in order to have fun. Its a sick trap to stick yourself in, and I can’t see why these players think they deserve any sympathy or support for their obsession.
