  1. Dude...25 BL Chest Keys are 2100 gems or $26.25 USD. Even if you're at a minimum wage job, that's like 4 hours of work. You could probably ask both your neighbours if you could cut their grass, and they would probably be happy to pay you $15.00 each. If you, or anyone you know is actually spending the time doing two world completions in a week, in order to get ~30 BLC keys, please seek out help, as that is staggeringly unhealthy for any reason. so the rent, taxes, weekly shoppings, monthly bills, etc. are all not important then? The person I'm quoting describes spending "under 3 days" to grind out 30 keys per week in a video game, which suggests a person has that amount of time available to spend in GW2. If you're working and can't afford to pay $26.25 USD out of pocket, maybe spend those "under 3 days" of time and work more hours, get a better job, whatever, and improve your real life situation at the same time. I totally understand financial pressures, etc. I had to work my way up to where I am today. But when I was young, married and starting a family, things were tight, and we had to make do without...but I certainly didn't have "under 3 days" worth of time to kitten around grinding for keys to get virtual loot in a virtual place, right?
  2. You dont need to run cold war 50 times for the 2 mastery points you already have it since its first time and tenth Thought it was 1st and 15th. Well then, 14 9 more completions of a strike mission nobody wants to run? Pass.

  4. My beef is more about what I would need to do to get the points I skipped. Light puzzles? No thanks.14 more completions of a strike mission nobody wants to run? Pass.7 more completions of a meta (Storms Winter) that isn't interesting or rewarding? Pass When the last episode went live I was able to get all the new masteries pretty quickly, and it was the new rank of Reslience/Valor/Vigilence that took some doing, and the funny thing is, I don't think I've used a single Hadouken on that map, despite doing almost all the achievements and meta. So if i the next episode (last one?) I don't have enough points to quickly get rank 5 of Resilence et al, as long as it doesn't lock me out of opening chests, I don't think it will matter.
  5. Necromancers have the highest health pools in the game, so it makes sense that they can get away with glass stats especially in a group. My Hammer Herald runs full zerk + mara trinkets in a zerg, and I have no issues with survival. Nothing wrong with adding defensive stats to your gear, but I would advise a different path than what was given above. I find it is way easier to tinker with accessories than armor, mainly because you don't have to worry about salvaging the rune. Don't worry about ascended gear - you'll be just fine with Exotic gear, including weapons and accessories. Each profession (Armorsmith, Weaponsmith) etc can create a LV 78 Exotic stat selectable back piece you can use to start you off. Jewellers can craft exotic earrings, rings and amulets, and they are usually pretty cheap since most players use ascended accessories from LW S3, S4 and S5 maps. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warlord%27s_Armor_Box is awarded for completing the final Bronze tier skirmish chest, once per week.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Triumphant_Armor_Box is awarded for completing the https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Triumphant_Armor_Reward_Track Both are chests which let you select 1 piece of stat selectable exotic armor of any weight. Great to have for alts you want to bring into WvW, or to tailor your existing character. I ran with one of the commanders of [NEW] the other day and they knew their stuff, so I think you're in good hands. Welcome to WvW.
  6. So a game that remains profitable 8 years after launch, and according to you, will continue on to at least its 11 year, hasn't lived up to it's potential? Do you realize how few GaaS titles have that degree of longevity? I'm sure the MBAs over at NCSOFT appreciated the laugh though.
  7. Actually, the better question is: why does this studio continue to ignore the reality that they do not conduct sufficient testing for any new content they release? When you look at the Warclaw today, all changes made except Lance were suggested within the first few days of the mount going live, and while some commented about the speed you could travel in home territory as being excessive, we didn't have enough time to see the impact of defenders returning from spawn so quickly, so many just shrugged it off. It took 13 months for ANET to address issues the player base largely agreed on after only a few days of play. Superior Battle Maul went live being capable of hitting 10 targets (!), and ANET implemented a fix 1 day later reducing it to 5. To this day, I don't understand why it went live with 10 targets in the first place. An oversight / error on their part? Or did they just not realize that 10 targets was way overboard, and it took 10 hours of playtime with the community for them to see it? In the end it's all about perception. If we were back to March of 2019 and the mount went live, as is, I think most people would see it as a positive addition; certainly a higher percentage than those who actually did because the mount wouldn't be as OP and had some actual counters (lance, 5 seconds dismount cooldown, etc). But when you compare this Warclaw to last year's, sure it looks like a pale shadow of itself - but that just shows you how some elements were overtuned in the first place.
  8. My response just based on your title: at this stage of the game, there is a HUUUUUUUUGE amount of content available to play. There is no rush, none of the content really becomes obsolete, and don't push yourself unnecessarily. Set goals, and don't worry about all the other things that need doing - they will get done in their own time.
  9. I still do that... o_0 Hey an Engy got to keep himself entertained while we wait for the bags to run back from spawn =/ Also, for major rofles, consider all the salty PvE players who were upset when it launched that the Warclaw didn't use mastery in PvE, meanwhile now it runs faster in PvE and does more damage in PvE too. /giggle
  10. The after-trail treadmarks are very cool! I would be tempted, except I only use the Roller Beetle at festivals and on my key farming toon.
  11. Depends on drop rate but yeah it's possible. Don't be the guy who put Visage of Khan Ur for 200g as 1st listing The problem with those types of infusions is I'll never have one: I'll never pay 10k gold to purchase it, and if I ever got one as a drop, I'd never pass up earning 10k gold by keeping it =(
  12. They should just rename it the Naʼvi Infusion to help manage people's expectations.
  13. The forum is so amusingly contradictory at times. Yes, an instant stomp using a 8k health CC immune mount moving at the speed of swiftness is totally the same thing, and requires exactly the same amount of coordination and skill as converting downed players with cleave or regular stomps.
  14. The upgraded Stormcaller weapons look nice, and are about what I was expecting them to look like: a bit flashy but not too over the top. Now let's see how expensive the material requirements will be. And upgraded Shiver emote. Does that mean you need the original Shiver emote?
  15. I think the first place to start is to remove or reduce the speed increase of revival you see where multiple players hit F, which is really where it gets out of hand. 20 players stacked tight around some rams can revive a player who goes down from AC fire in about 1 second. We got rid of instant Warclaw stomps which countered that tactic, now we need to address the tactic itself. Normalize the revive speed during combat so it doesn't matter if 1 player or 3 players is involved? And sorry, but they need to stat split Life Leech. If two players go into downed state at the same time, and only one is a Necro, everybody knows the outcome. Even in PvE I'd say it's a tad OP, but in a competitive mode, compared to what every other profession has? Yeah.
  16. How many exclusives do we want to give the Rev though? They already have Assassins Presence, which is a unique boon similar to Warrior Banners, though its worth mentioning that before Chrono was gutted and Diviner Gear / Alacrigade emerged, groups didn't insist on a Rev in their groups, while Warriors have long been a staple of the meta. You would also create a situation where a meta group MUST have a Herald in the party, and that just isn't good game design. Fractal groups are already pigeonholed as it is because Firebrand is the only spec that can reliably pump out group Quickness, and this forces the use of an Alacrigade as the 2nd support, because a Boon Chrono can't upkeep Might and Protection the way a Renegade can. So now a meta group would end up being: Power QB, Diviner Renegade, Diviner/Zerk Herald, Power Berserker + 1 DPS (Dragonhunter, maybe Weaver or Holo). And that isn't even mentioning the power creep you'd see with adding another layer of unique boons.
  17. Well depending on the situation, you are either in a small scale fight which usually leads to a quick stomp, or you're in a large scale fight where you are bound to die to cleave before long. Either way, you're not saving any significant amount of time if you went straight to defeated, and at least you can take a moment or two to tag some folks who might die and turn into bags for you after you respawn! Making lemonade and all.
  18. Yes. Solo roaming, small squad, large squad. Yes. What is the meme reply to any complaint of a skill doing too much damage? jUsT dOdGe! Well, what if you can't.... Ranger immob didn't get more powerful or anything, it's just that before it wasn't necessary because damage was so high - you didn't need to lock a person in place to burn them down when all you need to do was press about 3-4 buttons in quick succession. CC's are part of the game, but immobs are just obnoxious, and Druid immob is the worst of the lot by far. Does that make Druid in any way OP - of course not. Just the most obnoxious CC in the game. I get that players are happy for a reason to play Druid in WvW, but you don't want this crutch to be that reason. Demand real changes/reworks.
  19. I felt that same way, and was surprised at how early I met him on my 3rd (maybe 4th?) character who was a Sylvari. For me I found it very jarring trying to manage my expectations of a Sylvari (cabbage man) being a scholar, a necromancer, and swinging a greatsword. It was all very bizarre for me.
  20. I think that's a fair comparison, given both are tactivators. Dune Roller locks out all F1+ abilities and utilities, and as of last June, their damage stats were normalized rather than be based on the player's statistics. It shouldn't matter what profession picks up a Banner, but we know it does, and why players build certain professions exclusively to run DBs.
  21. Ahh, ok...that makes sense. I've never had one of these backpack covers and wanted to make sure what I was getting. Thanks a bunch, Dean! It applies to pretty much all skins except the achievement ones like Zenith or Radiant ones https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement_point_rewards(those can be copied from your achievement UI and used for free as many times as you want.) When you get a skin you can apply it once, for free, and if the skin is soulbound (most are) it will automatically unlock itself in your wardrobe. If you want to use that skin on a second item on a different character, etc, you would be required to use a Transmutation Charge.
  22. The only place I actually use F2 is in WvW, but never as an upkeep. In fractal the +3sec is a bit useless, as you earn BD from agony resistance + the pre-buff from mistlock ... And also because Ren build to have perma alacrity without you.But in raids it could be more useful : As FB should need BD now for perma quickness, same for chrono who play with ~70% BD and with inspiration traitline.Herald in subgroup 2 with a +20% BD for 10 players + the +3sec of True Nature : your chrono could play with ~50%BD (runes of pack + sigil + food already 40%) and Duel over Inspiration.Condi druid could play with less seraph accessories (may be even without, as you would also grant fury/mights). Etc etc.I agree, but at the same time, in more optimized fractal statics, it would allow the Alacrigade and QFB to swap out some Diviner's for Berserkers as they won't need as much boon duration on their gear. A marginal change, to be sure...but again, just trying to figure out a way to make Herald attractive to a group without just piling on more damage. I mean, just look at how Snowcrows describes it: https://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/revenant/herald/boon/ The text alone is actually rather complimentary, but then have a look at all the boss fights they recommend it for: Sloth and Sam are listed as "mediocre", while everything else is Unsubstantial or Inefficient. Yikes. And that is in a 10-person squad, where something like Draconic Echo actually matters. Part of me feels we need be realistic though, and recognize that Alacrigade is meta for Raids and Fractals, and that Herald is meta for WvW and PvP, both Power and Condi. Maybe it just isn't reasonable to have an Elite be meta for all 3 game modes (unless your name is Firebrand ofc) and just be happy we have a seat at the table at all. When I played WoW, some specs were optimal for PvE content, others for PvP. Perhaps we're just be unrealistic to demand that all elites be optimum in all game modes. (and that goes for other proffs too)
  23. maybe they need to make f2 into pulsing both legends utilities at the same time, instead of Switching F2-Legend1 to f2-Legend2 and back.^^ Tying your F2 to match your legend is a cool thing, but like many things Rev, it's a double edged blade. If your group wants you to maintain the boon duration of Glint, it prevents you from legend swapping at all, which drastically cuts your effectiveness. Same holds true for Mallyx, Jallis, etc. Compare that to Renegade though, where your F2-F4 remains the same regardless of what legend you're channelling. I think they need to unify the Facet of Nature across all Legends, and then keep the True Nature effect unique to each legend. The question is, what should the Facet of Nature be? Is +20 boon duration sufficient to make Herald attractive to a group that has Might, Fury and Protection covered? I also wonder if the -2 upkeep of Facet of Nature isn't also an problem. Lately I've been joining many a Fractal group doing Recs only, that already had an Alacrigade, so it gave me a chance to play Power Herald in T3-T1s with a typical group running Firebrigade, and juggling the F2 became questionable to me. In OW I'll usually only activate it while in Shiro if I need the extra sustain, otherwise I just ignore it. The only place I actually use F2 is in WvW, but never as an upkeep.
  24. An organized group of players will focus and convert downs into kills, while those less organized and skilled will no longer get risk free conversions just by riding up and pressing 1. Good game play gets rewarded while poor game play does not - exactly how it should be. That's a fairly inaccurate sweeping statement. I've objected to the mount stomp since the week it was released and I'm against every other point you list. Also FYI, siege still exists in the game, so adding patently false statements to your post is counterproductive to building an argument. Well, while they wait mounted they aren't fighting, so that's a net DPS loss for that team. That would be a valid point in any of the PvE sections of this forum, but in WvW the only thing that matters is downed/defeated state, and not downed/defeated state. A conversion of a downed player isn't just a kill, it is also usually a rally. Also the instances of players sitting on their mounts while the battle starts isn't nearly as common as those who were riding towards the battle/OJs, or returning back from spawn - those were usually the ones riding in for risk free conversions.
