  1. What you wrote makes zero sense in the current context of mesmer. Scepter outputs torment and so does axe on mirage. Maim the disillusioned has also existed since 2014 and that also outputs torment. Now only torch inflicts burning on mesmer. Staff used to output burning and I believe scepter used to output confusion on auto which was extremely underwhelming (see https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ether_Bolt). If anything Chaos Vortex should apply short duration burning if not on Phantasmal Warlock to give it some PvE burst as one stack of bleeding is quite negligible.
  2. The tooltip for legendary lore does not show the regeneration added onto Resolve when in WvW , while in PvP it shows two entries of regeneration. This suggests the WvW value is being displayed within PvP. The fix probably is to put the correct flag onto the WvW regeneration value.   3. The problem with that is no other alacrity providers were nerfed. Mirage outputting alacrity without an alacrity trait was poor design from the start. This is especially true since chronomancer was given an alacrity source beyond one well.
  4. I am worried about the price of supreme rune of holding, there should be a non-RNG source. Of course this change is to lower the likelihood of people addicted to gambling wasting ingame gold on gambling. I remember reading someone spent 10K real money to gamble ecto.
  5. I do not think it is fully random but it is woefully inconsistent to the point of people considering it buggy. At the inception of the first rewards scaling patch I already noted that several times (multiple defense events in a row) I had used a cannon multiple times and received WXP from kills on people within a keep and it did not register even bronze event participation. I thought maybe it may be different code for alpine than desert BL but I have not been able to confirm this. At the time I reported this on the forums in response to the official objective scaling thread most people mainly concerned with rewards were farming SMC outer repairs so the issue was not really brought to light, people just considered repairing as reward insurance. Currently it cannot be attributed to people getting out of combat, it has to be something to do with what the killed player is doing.
  6. It was a heavy handed nerf without any compensation in the form of a longer player-based alacrity. In reality it could have been solved with having only alacrity from staff ambush and not from the clone ambush. That would solve the reliance on clones for boons meaning you can preboon.
  7. Well it could be worse. Eles have access to a decent ranged option with the scepter changes, plus heal tempest exists even if it loses efficacy while providing alacrity. Not to mention it works underwater and in PVP/WVW. It would be far worse if you play a class that has lackluster alacrity or quickness healing regardless of gear or build.
  8. Honestly being able to turn off bloom with post processing on would be a great improvement regardless of what ally effects options are implemented.
  9. It is just a symptom of balancing based on how high things hit without any regard for how hard it is to land the damage. See the recent Arc Divider nerf.
  10. So you only dodge forward and use action cam? Talk about an edge case... Most players do not use action cam (for good reason) and unless you about face with a hotkey you cannot dodge backwards with nearly the same efficacy let alone sideways.
  11. IMHO: Generate added cashflow. Arenanet would be wise to generate more revenue streams for WVW, their first priority should have been putting in skins for siege and such. Alliances are diametrically opposed to profits. Improve Objective equity and fix the defense bugs. Make objectives equitable to both sides of the conflict. It is no secret to actual WvW players rather than forum warriors that captures reward far more consistently than defenses right now. Obviously it does not make sense to reward repairing outer walls, but killing players within the inner keeps does not register sometimes and you get zero credit, not even bronze. Meanwhile some person on the attacking side will get something so long as the structure is capped if they hit the lord or stood in the ring. The current status is that attack failure rewards nothing but groups with overwhelming numbers that are sure to cap will always be essentially ktraining. Defense failure does seem to reward players which is extremely odd. --- Because grandmaster mark shards are valued at less than 1 gold equivalent and they are also illiquid , there should be a conscious effort to restore their distribution to lower tier caps of keeps (i.e. T1/T2) which still require a time investment to tier and therefore cannot be easily k-trained. * Supporting data keeping in mind a grandmaster mark requires 10 shards: https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator/a~0!b~1!c~0!d~1-80799;1-80857;1-80685;1-80835;1-80746;1-80787 Reduce the ridiculous WXP disparity introduced by objective scaling. Remove the egregious WXP gain or give players that reached 10K WVW rank prior to objective scaling something to show for it. Eternity would be apt given its description. In the process the boosters no longer scale as much since boosters do not affect the instant use WXP from objective scaling. --- if the point of handing out WXP is so people obtain WVW masteries faster then the WVW masteries rank requirements should have been cut drastically. --- if the point of handing out WXP is so people can get their skirmish tickets faster then the base pips from skirmish track should have been increased. New weaponset is probably just the rest of the war machine skins. There is still no collection for any of the WvW specific skins whatsoever so there is little reason to dump so much gold (memories of battle are not cheap) into more than a few select skins if you like them. New infusion is probably just the WVW armistice bastion effect in infusion form. I would be wary of Arenanet making it +5 stats and +9 AR. People that do not have fractal titles would have 162 AR normally and this means they would have 153 without one agony infusion. This is something to keep in mind. Memories of battle seem to be an omission from the daily / weekly achievements for WvW but maybe Emblems would have memories of battle for sale. I am unsure of this. Rewards for existing WvW titles other than God of WvW. Give actual non-title rewards for maxed WvW objective titles such as yak slapper, defense, keep/tower/SMC caps and defenses.

  13. Are you aware superspeed only works in the forward direction and it is only better than swiftness while in combat? Many WvW players do not know this so I would not be surprised if you do not.
  14. Yes it is worth coming back, just do not spend too much time on it and work through the expansion content if you are not getting a level 80 boost. The endgame scene is slated to be even more casual as we move on and no elite specs are stated to be incoming. At this point there is no real reason to craft anything except legendary items.   15. Do not call it a nerf it is a bug. Killing players using a treb or cata inside your keep should never be zero credit. It should be at least bronze tier event participation.
  16. @TheGrimm.5624 I would surmise that the WvW cosmetic infusion is just going to be a copy paste of the effect from Armistice Bastion. I would not think that they would put substantial resources into it. --- Also, defense event objective scaling credit is still rather broken (as in not working properly most of the time unless you are killing players on the lord) so whoever is confused emoji spamming must not play WvW. The entirety of the WvW subforum was asking for uses for emblems of the avenger and nobody was expecting massive WXP gains nor some meager loot bags.
  17. If you ask me, emblem reward should have been prioritized over shooting WvW rank ups and loot bags for silver/gold tier participation in events. We will see how it turns out, I am truly still disappointed in the overall reduction in grandmaster mark shards output for the objective scaling.

My guess based on logic and part of the wiki players maintaining the balance notes for years: Necro gains alac on scourge in the future so it is actually used in average and higher end groups at the cost of DPS (think Sand Savant) Ranger can DPS on druid higher than the last observed 13K DPS with full boons making it more useful outside of alacrity output. This is likely low priority. Warrior should get some sort of improvement to sustained healing so it is not fully reliant on Soldiers Comfort and Vigorous Shouts. This is unlikely to be of highest priority at Arenanet since probably warrior is regarded only as a quickness DPS. Current roles are already filled by guardian (quick/alac), revenant (quick/alac), thief (with stated deadeye quickness , specter alac), engi (quick/alac), ele (quick/alac), mesmer (quick/alac). We are missing necro alacrity while warrior and ranger are unlikely to gain access to both boons due to core specs having access to a key boon. Arenanet only considers three things in PvE: quickness, alacrity, and healing. Minionmaster or armorer are not builds per say but theme. I highly doubt that new traits will happen, it is far more likely we have trait reworks to underperforming traits and nerfs to traits that are used on nearly every build for a given spec.
  19. Heal warrior needs help and I stated as such in the main response thread for the Spring 2023 studio update. Since warrior is only able to provide quickness and not alacrity for the foreesable future due to core warrior having party quickness, without much other support aspects it would be a priority for Arenanet for warrior to be the defacto quickness spec at least on par with quickness StM chrono (the original quickness spec at HoT). (In case anyone missed it, the update stated there are no new elite specs.)
  20. There is no such thing as a visual effects infusion (if you mean a cosmetic without stats or AR) even if there are cosmetics that are not infusions. Every infusion that is a metaevent drop or from fractals/strikes/raids has +5 agony resistance in PVE. The note specifically said infusion and not enrichment (amulet). There are stat-only infusions with less than +9 AR and agony resistance-only infusions from fractals. None of those have a cosmetic effect. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cosmetic_aura The only other way that Arenanet can do this is removing the guard damage bonus outright from all +5 power and +5 precision WVW stat infusions in WVW.
  21. WvW Yay actual WvW rewards but I truly hope it has both the WvW guard bonus AND +5 agony resistance. If it does have agony resistance but no WvW guard bonuses then it is moot and more PvE players will be using it than WvW players (save for support players using toughness, concentration, or healing infusions). (see copy pasted section in italics) World vs. World improvements, including the addition of a new infusion and weapon set and new ways to spend your unused Skirmish Claim Tickets and Emblems of the Avenger. An account-bound version of the infusion can be purchased after completing an achievement in World vs. World. Keep lords will also have a chance to drop a tradeable version of the infusion when defeated. It should be noted that the currently lopsided reward system will only appear even worse to the great majority of players since the infusion will not drop from defense whatsoever (it is from keep lords and it is not specified whether it is from T3 only). There are numerous complaints of defense credit not being given despite killing players within the confines of a keep. This is something I addressed at the first stage of the reward rework but people did not care at the time since they were too busy repairing SMC or something. Speaking of rewards, I was severely disappointed at the reduction in grandmaster mark shards output. If the rewards team was truly intent on helping newer players that do not want to PvE then restoring the grandmaster mark shards to reward tiers below the highest ones that reward skirmish tickets should be a priority especially for T1/T2 keep captures. As it is now, due to the cost of the memories of battle (which are not in daily chests) it costs more for WvW-only players* to purchase a weapon from the skirmish vendor than to craft it and there are no collections for those weapons (Mistforged hero, Mist Lord, Obsidian, Mistforged Obsidian). * Which is 100% made possible by the level 80 boosts especially for alt accounts on different regions (NA/EU) and/or worlds. Fractals/Strikes/Raids I think Arenanet realizes at this point fractals (June 27 for the slated Cantha fractal) are the best thing to add to the game due to the way tiers affect the grouping of players (and their level of patience). The Raid LFG leaves a lot to be desired and until roles are actually flagged or indicated it really is not conducive to the existing group finder. However generally speaking strikes are the future from a development point of view if expansion sales are to be priority. The difficulty tiering is similar to fractals (story / solo, normal, challenge mode) and there is reuse of assets to reduce production cost. Balance Balance is controversial but more hard numbers on why something is being changed (such as Josh Davis' comments on reddit re: power mech before the PVE changes) would allow for a better picture. There are quite a few balance changes that seem to only affect the players that are benchmarkers or speedclear players (see the recent proposed May 2 power untamed changes with no other changes) or further PvE mirage staxe changes. Most notably the omission of any changes to mirage in competitive modes when tradeoffs for nearly every other spec including vindicator (which was designed with one dodge) have been outright removed are quite puzzling especially when the dev team stated specifically they were looking into restoring the full two dodges on mirage. As for the lack of any new elite specs in the future, let me just say that heal warrior leaves a lot to be desired in PvE. Chrono would probably be workable with some number changes on well heals and change to healing/barrier on the initial cast. Likewise it has been theorized there will be alacrity added onto Sand Savant for scourges as in PvE people typically only look for alacrity or quickness supports. Investment into technology Chromium for the TP and DX11 mainline client were welcome and show Arenanet are not on maintenance mode for the overall game. An option for reduction in visual noise should help people that insist on turning on post processing. One thing to note however is that bloom is not a selection in post processing and that is the major offender. I would really like some of the core improvements in the pipeline to be listed somewhere so the same suggestions do not keep popping up. In addition, the prioritization of larger updates could probably be better conveyed to the community especially if they are possibly controversial.
  22. If you want alacrity underwater you cannot run mechanist though as there still is no underwater mech. The ideal pick underwater is alacrity renegade or maybe tempest; druid spirit positioning is a hassle if you need to move while specter wells do not work underwater. I am unsure of underwater willbender but I am almost certain it is janky underwater due to positioning. Chrono cannot use wells underwater either so alacrity mirage not working underwater whatsoever is not a good thing. The only thing I could see possibly happening in the future as far as other specs is support alacrity scourge (Sand Savant instead of Demonic Lore possibly), with warrior left out since it has baseline (core) quickness on banners and the tactics traitline. That is the only foreseeable outcome due to the existing guardian (meme willbender), revenant (alac ren), warrior (no alac), engineer (mech), ranger (core alac), thief (specter alac), ele (tempest alac).
  23. It could be that the DPS trait is mutually exclusive with the quickness trait, similar to just about every quickness provider that exists currently. My guess is it will be on Be Quick or Be Killed (the most obvious one) or possibly Fire for Effect , in place of M7 (Maleficent Seven). Power rifle deadeye runs M7, so does dagger deadeye, pistol+dagger condition deadeye, and kite deadeye.
  24. I have realized one thing with respect to WvW related updates that you should as well. They generally do not announce anything until it is going out. That is why some people said that the Arenanet team miscommunicated when the War Machine weapon skins were being given for the WvW alliances beta achievement (besides the bugs), desert BL beta was not very well known publicly, and the rewards rework (which still needs work since it is more or less a boatload of WXP with minimal rewarding) also was mentioned as on the table but not until pressure was put on that the dev team actually put it out. I suspect the rewards update showed that the dev team should not put out anything in a half baked state if there are any sort of rewards attached.
