  1. I can see it being account bound - but no real reason to make it soulbound.
  2. Pretty much all their festivals are phoned in. They just have a code switch to turn them on & off. Nothing new, nothing changes. The Queen's Pavilion is the only one I mess with - the monster bashing is fun there. 😎
  3. For fun I would say peak was at launch. My son and I played a lot back then. Now he has like a job and family... all that junk that gets in the way, so he no longer plays. For gameplay, EOD. It was the most fun story so far. I really enjoyed it. EOD is the closest I ever came to finishing a story (I do not see the last 2 fights happening, though). But nothing beats pre-searing Guild Wars. That is the best, and most beautiful, video game of all time! But just the pre-searing part. 😎
  4. Definitely need updates on existing festivals. Other than the Queen's Pavilion, all GW2 festivals are not as fun as GW festivals (especially Wintersday and Canthan New Year). The festivals have been a huge letdown all along. 😎
  5. kitten 2?! Ha ha The game's name is not dirty in any way, shape, or form... the censoring on these forums is getting ridiculous ha ha (It was a Heavy Metal game)
  6. Easy. Games have traditionally been designed for - and by - guys that grew up with Frazetta and Royo sci-fi art. Female armor has pretty much never been functional. When kitten 2 came out Wal-Mart made them add more clothing to Julie, the lead character. Through a family connection we got an earlier master copy and it was pretty skimpy. My son really liked the game (and got an autographed copy from Levelord).
  7. Not relaxing at all, because they made a mini-game out of it. Twitch games are not relaxing or fun, for me. 😎
  8. I do not remember salvage kits ever stacking. They come with charges on them, and I have always had a few extra lying around.
  9. What is DRM? From the context it does not seem to be digital rights management...
  10. Oops, I misread it. I rarely mess with masteries, I was thinking hero points. I would not pay for mastery reset, but would pay for hero point reset. 😎 But... I do think that being able to completely reset all character points - of any kind - would help the game. It should just be part of adjusting your build.
  11. I would to have that ability. That would be something I would be willing to pay fee for. Gold or gems... 😎
  12. Yeah... you click 'save password' and then you just use the login button every time you turn on the game. It has always worked like that. The asterisk just means the password is saved but not displayed. That is how it works on pretty much all websites, too. 😎
  13. If I understand this correctly, the options would be: 1. Continue under the no sub plan and buy gems as desired to unlock the skins of my choosing. 2. Pay the optional sub fee to get the 'privilege' of earning the skins in game. Why would anyone pick the 2nd option? If anything - why not just have a discounted recurring monthly charge for gems? That would be your optional sub fee, and path to skins. It sounds like you are just looking for a discounted way to get skins to be honest.
  14. We have an optional sub fee already - buy gems, get your stuff, pretend it is a sub. No. GW 1 & 2 have never had sub fees and it would be suicide to add a monthly fee to a 10 year old game. They system in place works fine.
  15. The higher rating might make it more popular with kids. I know when the ridiculous rating system came out for music, I simply quite buying anything that did not have the warning label... prudes would put the label on any artist I liked. When my son was growing up I certainly did not care what games he got. Sex or violence in games (or cussing in songs) does not make someone go 'bad'. 😎
  16. Yeah I have one (not sure what it came with) but until they make a new profession or race (unlikely at this point) there is no reason to use it. I was hoping opening up Cantha would give us at least one new profession. It gave two in GW Factions... 😎
  17. I got my shared inventory slots, on sale, a week or so ago. That was all I was looking for. Some ok freebies... but overall a pretty lackluster anniversary sale. 😎
  18. If this game is for you, have fun with it. If it is not for you, find one that is. Cry less, play more. Have a good life, I will waste no more time on you. 😎
  19. I don't. I sell all the junk that drops that I do not need. Very little that drops is useful, but it generates some money. Oh... and you can use the gold to buy gems to buy the things the gem store has, that you seem to think you need. See? It all works out. 😎 Many games do have both. At least we only have an optional gem shop - no subscription. I am quite pleased with the setup. Sorry you are unhappy. This is true. All 3 are in a bundle for $49.99. Quite a bargain. https://buy.guildwars2.com/en-gb
  20. The cash shop may have some downsides, but if we had a subscription does that mean the cash shop would go away? Unlikely. Many games use cash shops to sell optional/luxury items, whether they have a monthly subscription or not. And if you are only checking out the game for a couple months - nothing in the gem shop is required. Everything they sell is optional, most is not needed at all. If you play a lot, then yes, the bank & backpack expansions are useful. For checking out the game? Not needed at all. While playing you can deposit materials and you can list items on the trading post (which removes them from your inventory). I played for a year or two before I bought any extra storage. None of my characters have maxed out storage, and I doubt I will ever need it. Most of my avatars backpacks stay half empty as it is. It is nice to have but hardly necessary. Also once you buy the bank/backpack expansions, no further costs is required. A simple and cheap system. I think that is much better than a subscription.
  21. Yeah, they merge the posts to get them out of the way. They have made it clear before that they do not care about emoji and have no intention of changing them. People rightly complain, but it will do no good. 😎
  22. Which is exactly why the emoji 'vote' is useless. If you disagree - make a reply explaining your position (as you did in this thread). A thumbs up or down or confused... is pretty useless without a reply. 😎
  23. I knew there was a good reason I never look at the chat window. I play solo - so there is no one I need to talk to. I would never have known that twit was even talking to me. 😎
  24. I have no idea how WoW works, I tried it when it first launched and was bored with the game and graphics within a few hours. But in the GW2 gem store there is nothing I need. A bunch of shiny pixels? No, thanks. I did get a couple bank tabs, and backpack slots, but most of that came with the expansions. There is no fee to play GW2 unless you want to pay for unneeded shiny extras. I have found no need to spend extra money. Glad the option is there for those that want it, but none of it is required. 😎
