  1. Ecto gambling imo should be DELETED: Lost a few good friends to this kitten. Most ppl avoid it like the plague, but a few players have succumbed to its addiction and lost everything they have or even worse ( and this is obviously an irl gambling problem/addiction) used real money > buy Gems > convert to Gold > Buy ectos > Get addicted > win-lose-lose-win-lose-lose > Lose all gold, buy more Gems: And so on and so forth. Everyone without an addictive problem, can easily say simple stuff: Walk away, only gamble what you can afford to lose etc. but Ecto Gambling in the game does not help matters to these folk with such problems. One guy I know, caught in its addictive grasp, was converting so much Gems > Gold, when his wife found out: It nearly cost him his marriage!?! Needless to say he had no choice to uninstall and never came back: Nice dude just with obvious addictive personality, he couldn't stop playing it especially when he felt down on his luck in game. Why it's still in the game idk. I don't particularly think Ecto Gambling is in the same league has BLC chests, since you can largely buy most of the stuff from BLC in TP, and I guess to avoid it being a pure gamble: Anet cleverly puts in the Guaranteed Drops, so its not a pure Gamble. In-time if you accrue enough Black Lion Statues, you can just buy the BLC skins from NPC further down the line. Do your weekly farm key character run (52 keys per/year), map completions etc: Free keys! Guaranteed drops[edit]  https://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/b/bd/Black_Lion_Statuette.png Black Lion Statuette (guaranteed)  https://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/c/c3/The_Evon_Gnashblade_Trick-or-Treat_Bag.png The Evon Gnashblade Trick-or-Treat Bag (guaranteed)
  2. OP: Your thread title should actually have read>>> ARC DPS (and all damage meters) are *enhancing the game My scenario: 1) I started game seriously on Necro 2) Had zero clue about builds, gear or anything 3) Found some dude called Holts on YouTube 4) Built my 1st ascended set around Holts: Solo Reaper WvW Roaming guide 5) Proceeded to enter Fractals 6) Was largely unnoticed until I hit T4 7) Got instant kicked after 1st T4 fractal by 4 players from same Guild, without warning or discussion 8.) I PM'd the players that had kicked me: They were very helpful tbf, and said my DPS was lower than their support guy 9) My first question was: How do you know that ? 10) I had no clue about DPS meters in Gw2 or ARCDPS 11) KEY POINT: As a result of this, I wanted to make sure I was ALWAYS pulling my weight in groups, squads with my DPS, Heals, Support or W/e and to not be a burden on the group, in fact I wanted to try to be the best, become a Commander, and teach others constructively to maximise their own capabilities: Totally not possible without a DPS Meter. 12) Downloaded Arcdps 13) Suddenly dawned on me my build, gear, traits was all maximised for WvW Solo Roaming (thus good sustain), and I stupidly had not changed a thing for Fractals ?!? kitten brain me 14) One of the dudes that kicked me, kindly PM'd me discretize.eu, ofc never heard of that either 15) Rebuilt my gear, stats, traits, trained hard on Raid Golems, perfected my rotations 16) Re-entered T4 fracs, watched the difference of my own performance on the DPS Meter 17) Never got kicked again from Fractal or Raid group 18) Some months later, bumped into the exact same Guild 4 players in T4 PUG fracs, at this stage I switched to CFB (purely cos I watched the DPS numbers running of other CFB's, told them I was that lame Reaper they had kicked all those months ago, but their advice had changed my game overnight: They even apologised for kicking me, but said they have to do T4 Runs fast to fit RAID in the same evening or other kitten. Came top DPS in the frac run as CFB ( not hard ikr), got befriended by these dudes, and often enter fracs with them for fast clears & CM's: Done in no time. 19) Have you ever tried doing ALL CM Fractals with ALL 5 PLAYERS: Not really paying any attention to their build, traits, gear attributes, role, rotation ? It's not fun, takes ages, causes more arguments than those that DO use ARCDPS. Only way to monitor players individual performance is DPS Meter. 19) SCENARIO: All courtesy of ARCDPS. 20) I'd prefer it if Anet implemented in-house DPS Meter ( ofc optional enable/disable function)
  3. ^^ this. Heavily disagree with OP's suggestion. Confident: 100% Anet would not even consider such a notion, not even for a nanosecond.
  4. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_trinket ^^ Is your best friend 😛
  5. It's 2022, we all NEED EMP. Burn it Link. If you don't have access to EMP, do what you have to do to get access to it. THE MACHINES ARE COMING
  6. ty for reply mate. Good to know other issues as well out there, to be expected I guess, as always glitch wars after updates. Even just farmed my Home Instance Herb Garden Plot things, Farmed 12 plants, which deposited in my inventory, automatically clicked my seed pouches to plant more, but it wouldn't let me, then i realised I had 12 growing plants, that I hadn't even planted. Well I hope I get my buy order gold back, but no guarantees I guess if CS can't see any physical problem their end I'll instant lose well over 3K gold buy order QQ: Not the first time this has happened and always around patches, it's like the server loses connectivity. C'est la vie!
  7. Hi all, Just wondered if anyone else has any issues with cancelling a buy order, laggy TP after patch update, and gold not being returned back to me ? I've sent a ticket to CS for them to look into this problem, but the same always seems to happen in the days following updates. Just wondering if it's me, or anyone else has experience of this happening, especially around patch updates? Many thanks for any replies !
  8. Interesting debate here. @Endilbiach.4132 to be honest, I used to think much like you about WvW Leggy Armour time-sink grind, in comparison with Raid Leggy Armour: I'm a player that loves WvW, but hates Raids. BUT these days I totally accept the requirements of any given item I want, suck it up (just like countless players have done before me), get my head down and grind it out: If I hate any given game-mode or w/e that much I simply will not do it: Make do with Ascended or w/e.. @Sobx.1758: Thing is mate, think that many players (OP, myself included: Don't like RAIDS, don't have a set fixed time to devote whatever 90-180 mins or w/e for Raid Clears, whereas WvW is far more flexible: You can jump in/out solo, small squad, Zerg, GvG, so many options). Might be just me but I find more players in general hate RAIDS than WvW: In my humble opinion the raids i've done I find boring asf, just a hardened world boss, more difficult mechanics, but its the same kitten every time and is so predicatable, I'm literally bored watching Netflix on other screen while jus spamming my rotation with predictable RAID mechanics easy to spot, WvW is a far more dynamic game mode for me ( elements of PvE, PvP, Very sociable: make lots of friends), my brain craves the game-mode for its diversity and unpredictability as after 10 years playing Gw2, I just can't face the mind-numbingness of one single more Open World META: BUT I will suck it up if i needed to do for a goal/target/achievement/end result and not moan on forum). Ergo it's an easy statement to say those that want Legendary Armour to go for the RAID (PVE) Armour as is fastest, cheapest route, when for many of us the game mode itself is just boring asf (subjectively speaking ofc, every one is different). ...however, and as much as I agree the Skirmish Ticket Chests are back-loaded I think they are for a good reason, to keep WvW'ers in WvW: If it was easy/fast to attain those tickets in the first few days after Friday reset, WvW would likely be much quieter early/mid week. The given fact it takes 20-25 hours of gameplay to cap your Skirmish Tickets keeps players in WvW, and if there is one thing WvW needs and that's active players, else it becomes a dead game-mode. I think it's totally fine as it is tbf, BUT most importantly for every single player that has sunk their life into getting Conflux, Warbringer, Legendary Amour: How would it possibly fair on them if Anet enhanced the reward system ??? I'm always mindful of other players and what they have attained, how long it has taken them, and props to them for doing so love or hate of whichever game-mode they have strived in. Benefit of WvW Legendary Armour: It's just time, keep your participation up, go AFK or do something else, go back to WvW: It's not exactly difficult. When you have more dedicated gameplay time, then play more intensively as you wish. Gift of Battle is also a breeze to get for all those moaning constantly about it: It takes 4 hours (with boosters) / ~ 8 hrs (without). But I have to do 303 boring asf Renowned Hearts to get Gift of Exploration, but do I moan ? No: That's the requirment. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< This bestows my main point >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yes, you can draw contrasts with WvW Legendary and RAID Legendary armour, but so you can with just about anything else in the game and should Anet change it ? - I'm of the opinion these days: Accept what you have to do, if you want it, and this is 10 year old game, what about all the previous players that have sunk their time or resources into whatever ( ? perhaps they don't like: RAIDS, WvW, sPVP), and attained their legendary through sheer brute determination ? Do they deserve a refund or compensation of their time if Anet changed things now ? If you're going to compare WvW Legendary Amour with RAID Armour, then also compare: 1) Transcedence (sPvP amulet) vs Prismatic Champion's Regalia Amulet (PVE): In most people's eyes Transcendence (especially for those that hate PvP, but wanted the trinket): Was a thorn in the side to endure, but one that was necessary in the day if you wanted a Full Leggy Trinket Set, and/or the twin balls effect! lol 2) Compare attainment/time/cost of Frostfang vs Astralaria 3) Compare attainment/time/cost of Griffon Mount vs Skyscale Mount Where do you stop in drawing comparisons ? Other point to note, which applies to many of us " The only pressure you exert is largely by yourself ": Take your time, rotate what you do in game, goals/targets are great to have like capping weekly skirmish tickets or weekly raid clear, but don't make yourself miserable in the process, else seriously what's even the point ?
  9. ^^ YES really, Anet are a business at the end of the day, so ofc as a pure business strategy to sell more copies of EoD: Launch one OP new E-spec: Its plain and simple good business acumen for them. I very much beg to differ: Nothing at all to do with whether the Community think its Meta or not ? loool - Anet largely markets Gw2 to Open-world PvE'ers: Where Meta goes out the window. Plain & Simple: Mech is 1) Ridiculously easy to play, 2) Is fun to play ( Massive Green Jade Bot with OP Elite Skill ), 3) Insane DPS for little to no skill involved: I.e. it's such an attractive profession for the massess ( Anet's core audience): Ergo excellent business strategy from Anet to launch Mech with EoD. If the answer was true to your statement, and Weaver was "META" do you really think the core Gw2 Open World Community would be running around playing Weaver ??? - No, because its a lot, lot more difficult to play than Mech, more squishy, much easier to make mistakes, way more difficult to achieve perfect rotation: It's maybe better for more experienced, skilled gamers, but these days is it really ? Just how many Weaver's do you now see in ALL Game modes these days ? Ergo: Mech is easier to play, more fun to play, insane DPS for very low skill ceiling. Matter of Fact: Mechanist was introduced with EoD Launch as a business / marketing strategy: Period.
  10. Epic post as it summarises in one screen shot how Anet's Bait worked a treat for them: Hook, line and sinker marketing ploy: >>> Purposely release one VERY OP Elite Spec in EoD Xpac, that will "heavily force" the hand into the pockets of those that did NOT initially purchase EoD, and or had no intention to purchase EoD , or were "on the fence" over-deciding. Let players see how easy it is to play Mech, and little skill you need to do insane DPS, effectively blowing-away the more complex DPS rotations of other professions. Dude kitten? "Your Mech DPS is insane, and you're telling me you're only pressing 1-2 keys? " Kitten: I'm buy EoD right now: $$$$$$$$$$$$ Anet's money bags filling nicely ! Serious props to that Bladesworn dude for playing something other than Mech or Guard 🤣
  11. Totally this ^^. Apologies @Danikat.8537 (I like reading your forum posts in general ) but I would view "player housing" a valuable waste of Dev's time & resources. In my humble opinion, it would be yet another "non-Gw2-feature", in-line with Skiffs ( ? just why when we already have Skimmer, oh but I hear some say: You can't stand on a skimmer and fish!:) & Fishing. Personally I feel both: Fishing and Skiffs rank extremely high in the dullness stakes, I just can't even bring myself to engage in either if only for the AP: They utterly bore the pants off me). I play Gw2 for interactive combat with, collaboratively and against other players, theory crafting different builds, etc etc. Solo stuff just really does not appeal: Otherwise I'd just play an "off-line game" and play alone. Rather than introducing player housing when we already have Home Instance: Why not make suggestions to modify or upgrade our current Home Instances, which Anet Dev's could do quite easily on the cheap, since HI already exists anyway. Also I'd prefer it too, as is currently, Party of 5 players could benefit from all NEW features as well: Benefits the whole community, rather than Anet monetize a completely new Player Housing System, which I think I'm 99% safe to say Anet will never implement. Only my 2 cents on the matter 🙂
  12. @Lottie.5370 Totally agree, its just not even in the same line as mounts given how much we use them and how visible they are all the time, and to be given the same price point is just plain greed from Anet. Also, I personally think the price-point of 400-800 gems is far more appropriate and reasonable. Sad thing, I remember reading somewhere about "MMO's Micro Transaction models (i.e. no sub) target the top 3% of richest players, whom will purchase everything from Cash Shop regardless of price. I wanted to think Anet was different, targeting the other 97% of player-base that finds things more affordable, but obviously I was wrong. Only thing I can HEAVILY recommend, is DO NOT purchase the Bot Skin, no matter how much you are tempted to buy it: It's absolutely over-priced Once Anet monitor data that sales are poor of any given item, they tend to drop the price-point (in theory lol) The more players that stump up the 1600 Gems for it, the longer Anet will keep it at that price to maximise $$$. IF Anet do drop it, I'm betting they'll only drop it to 1200 Gems, in-line with Mount Skin Select Licence, milk players at the 1200 Gem point, before making any further drops. BUT as OP rightly suggests the Jade Bot is just not visible enough to make it viable or worth either 1600, 1200 Gems. TLDR: No matter how much you are tempted: DO NOT buy the Jade Bot Skin. Hold out as long as you can, otherwise the 1600 price-point will remain. Boycotting is the only way.
  13. ^^ yup this is me, and is what I do all the time. But I'll just add, I always very mindful of the other player and that I'm whispering a total stranger, so the response or silence you get back may not be what you intended. But that's totally fine as it's the other player's prerogative to reply or not, and I fully understand someone might be having a bad day, and not want to engage in conversation with another random stranger ! Having said this, I always remain friendly, and more often than not get a positive response ~ 75-80% of the time, and I've lost count of the new friends I've added through such encounters. Conversely, I'm really not keen on OP's suggestion, and totally opposed to it: Reason: I don't want some random person following me around like a lamb, targeting me: Trying to "inspect my gear", nor do I want to target other players to inspect their gear, without even speaking to them: I find this lacking any dignity or respect. Happily I'm 99.9% confident: Anet will not ever implement such a dreadful idea 😉 P.S. YouTube is always MVP in this department: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJPfso7T70Rwkf0zEIvIpuvf6HJqEIqpH
  14. Agree completely. I hope Anet takes heed, its not like people are hating on the patch as per other thread : They're frankly venting their constructive criticisms on forum as it's the only outlet that have to do so. Sadly in my humble opinion it's one of the poorest balance patches I have ever seen in my 20+ years of playing MMO's. 😪 I get it Anet you want us just to play Guard, Necro Engineer. R..I.P. our Banner Slave Warriors, never to see a Banner dropped again, except to be laughed over ! 😪 I loved playing Banner Slave Warrior, it doesn't exactly have a high skill ceiling, therefore great to play when I was tired, or not on form and could still focus enough to do my job effectively, but now Anet in epic fashion you've completely trashed Banners, "For Great Justice is far better" than either single banner or both I think perhaps put together?!? - Banners were great before when they gave 170 bonus, then nerfed to 100 bonus but still unique at least to Warrior , but alas decimating banners to give boons is totally unfathomable and inexplicable, as obviously there are other professions, oh wait perhaps Guardian is more viable for a change 😂:🤣, that can do the job far superior. I have so many boring kitten Guardians on my account, only 2 warriors, might as well instant delete the warriors make another 2 Guardians. Anyone selling a Legendary Salvage Kit for my Frostfang Axes, and Moot Maces ? 😪 So all we need in Gw2 suitable for all game-modes :1 Account, 1st Character: Guardian: x3-7 Build Templates: Choice of >>> Condi QFB, Power QFB, Heal Firebrand, Condi Willbender, Power Willbender, Power Dragonhunter, Celestial Hybrid Firebrand (optional). ? 2nd Character: Engineer: Heal Alacrity Mech is a boon beast , 3rd character: Necro ( Scourge (DPS or secondary healer/support), Condi Quick Harbinger, ) OR Revenant ( Renegade: Alac), Herald (WvW) Well I guess saves on character slots, wasting time on other professions, gear equipping, levelling other characters. 😂🤣 😂 Actually true inside story here: The "G" in GW2 never ever stood for Guild, as let's face it apart from those whom partake in GvG in WvW (only a very niche small % of players), there is no such thing as Guild Wars. The "G" in GW2 ALWAYS stood for : "Guardian Wars".
  15. Couldn't have written this better myself. Original Banner buffs were unique Warrior attribute to bring support to your group/squad, and now this has been completely decimated by the fact other support classes are far superior. As OP states so well, I've just finished a Desert Highlands Bounty run, dropped some banners and everyone saying just no point, their completely useless now, ergo other classes support well.... ALSO I went to ressurect some fellow player in downstate, but it picked up my Banner instead, all my weapon skills vanished, the Bounty was static so no point to reposition it anywhere: it was just kitten annoying and an awful mechanic imo. Nice one Anet you completely trashed Banner Slave Warriors.
  16. ..... ^^ SO THIS AND THIS >>> Honestly, I didn't really need the contrast, What I could go for is my curser not disappearing when I engage my camera. That would probably solve like 75% of the "dude where's my mouse" in the game for me. @fable spirt.8465 Right on point mate, idk why this has been actioned in 10 years, the amount of times in hectic Raid or Frac CM run, engaged camera and completely lose the mouse pointer its kitten annoying ! @ Anet: Please fine-tune the low/high contrast mouse cursor pointer, that activates at the actual tip, and is finer as per original. Until this is actioned, it wrecks my emotional health far too much to use either low or high contrast as they are just too annoying !!!!
  17. @Aaricia.9758 that sentence was epic to read after what you had endured. Ultimately you had the inner strength, resilience and resolve to get out of the awful situation you were in, really must have been no easy feat I can't possibly imagine how difficult it felt with or without Gw2 friends. But I really like your story and appreciate your time in sharing it with the Community: For me it sums up in a nutshell what is often not spoken about that much; many of us just take for granted and that's Community Appreciation. Everything especially, on forum tends to be very much directed at/towards/about Anet, but as players we are the ones playing alongside each other, against each other - and without each other Gw2 would not exist as it does: Imagine playing Gw2 as a solo-player offline game ? Gw2 Community is the only reason I bought EoD. Period.
  18. Bikini armour on Charr ? ewwww #would need a 25 L Tube of https://www.veet.co.uk/
  19. @Phoenix.4593 you won't be the first, and won't be the last that has done this or will do this. Done myself as well in the past with an equally high price item. However, as much as I was annoyed, it was my own fault, I was in a rush before a Daily fractal run, and instead of placing the order, I instant bought it. The screen display is more than obvious. So really no-one else except myself to blame. CS can't do anything as from their POV you bought the infusion outright. Annoying kitten stuff like this happens on the whole to all of us ( human error ftw), but how you deal with it is what matters. You can either decide to be in a bad mood thereafter, or a reflective mood and say to yaself "Okay I ****ed-up, what can I do to ensure I don't repeat the same mistake again ? " Pro-tip to prevent TP instant buys: Keep the Liquid Gold on your account as LOW as possible and use TP Buy Orders as a "Personal Bank", e.g. put 10 x 200G Buy orders on Eternity or Perma Bank Access or Khan-ur infusion etc., so obvs your orders will never be fulfilled but it will negate instant buying by mistake. Alternatively send gold and store it on your alt accounts. When, and only when there is an item you want to buy or bid for: Ensure you only withdraw/transfer that exact amount back to your wallet so you cannot overbid or instant buy.
  20. Apologies in advance if such a thing already exists or has been mentioned on forum in the past ( just searched and can't find anything, but maybe not looked deep enough?), ^^ If not, wondered if peeps would think a Lounges Portal Tome would be a good thing, as per Season 3/4/Icebrood Portal Tomes ? Amazingly over-time I have managed to accumulate 7 x Lounge Passes. But since having this many clogs up too much of my Shared Inventory and/or Bank slots: I only tend to use Mistlock/Armistice as the preferred 2, but would love it if the whole lot could be combined into 1 Tome, perhaps being able to also dump :"Invitation to the Festival" thing as well in there. Sure it may well only be a trivial matter, but I'm left not using 5 of the Lounges altogether, and wonder how other players manage with so many of the lounge passes if they have as many ? Plz post if such a thing already exists and I have been blind to find it somewhere !!
  21. @Frozenize.9603 Your post does echo the sentiments by many players in-game, but I in my humble opinion I think Anet wants the prices for Coins to stay as they are. 1) On the plus side for newbie players selling MC's are a great source of income @ Game start. If we cast our minds back to when we started out: No gold, no gems (non-gem users) it was incredibly hard at game-start to make sufficient gold to buy anything much, let alone to get your 1st crafting professions maxed out: Its a fast, easy gold wind-fall for newbies selling their MC's, ~16 Instant Gold on the day you get x8 MC's. 2) The fact that the log-in reward being the main/easy way to get the coins it also encourages players to buy/make additional acccounts, mabye purchase further Xpac's for those accounts, and low and behold purchase additional Gemstore on their alt accounts, possibly only limited to QoL purchases : Good business acumen. 3) I ask players complaining about MC cost: What do they spend their 2G daily reward on ? Easy answer for me is I've used my 2G Daily for the last 2-3 years to buy approx. 1 Coin each day, so slightly short of what the cost is atm, but give or take a bit it equates to ~ 28-29 Coins per month: No brainer eh ?! 4) The trade-off I find for those that find MC's costly that also want to craft a Legendary is: The cheaper T5/T6 mats ( massive increase in players due to lockdown, more players farming, more afk farmer bots, drizzlewood mats++, Icebrood Saga (Exalted, Deldrimor chests etc): We have a massive supply these days of T5/T6, keeping prices low. 5) I've crafted/bought my fair share of Gen1/Gen2 Legendaries and interestingly enough don't find the Gen 1's in TP to have risen too astronomical in price over-time (ofc no costly Mystic Tribute and therefore need for mystic coins): i..e they are within reach for any level 80 player that wants to put some graft in to either craft, or farm and buy...but I also remind myself Legendaries are very niceQoL (stat changeable), sigil/rune/infusion extractable with no extractor required, nice graphical effects, but other than that for me they are just glorified items with no damage/armour enhancement better than Ascended. 6) I'm a functional kind of guy, and constantly ask myself the question: Why did I make 2 x Legendary Great Swords, since how often will I actually stat change or even swap sigils in a GS: As a power weapon constantly run Berserker, sometimes dependent on game-mode switch to Marauder but never swap to another stat attribute and even the stat change Berserker>Marauder on 1 item is not something I notice, so I could have happily stuck with an Ascended Great Sword as does the exact same job on the battlefield.... 7_) .....this brings me to my point that IF the Mystic Coins price rose too high, I would definitly NOT buy MC's from TP at all. I would just acrue MC's slowly myself through login rewards (multi-account), Leyline Anomaly, Fractals/WvW, and making a Legendary I would just see as an end-game luxury (nothing else better to spend my gold on or invest my time into). Mystic Clovers I could just farm through Drizzlewood Caches, WvW reward tracks, fractals. Since I've no actual competitve damage/armour benefit from Legendary items I could not justify to myself in buying the coins from TP if they rose too high. People also remind me that Nightfury (not Leggy) costs 250 Coins, but again this is just a luxury, graphical effect item: We don't need it at all to compete at highest levels, again if it was something that I really really wanted I would acrue my own coins slowly over time. 8) I'm all for players speculating, many of us do the same on a vast array of items in-game. However, specualation is not without risk. Even if their is 1 player that has amassed 1 million, 2 million, or even 10 million coins, but paid market value at the time they invested: 1.5G-2G then good luck to them is what I say ( But I certainly will not be buying their MC's from TP if the price rises too much!! ): Obviously speculating on the fact if and when Legendary Armoury hits us, the coins will spike. 9) BUT and a BIG BUT HERE: Just imagine if simultaneously, without warning, at the launch of Legendary Armoury Anet launches alternative methods to obtain MC's and the supply massively increases, sinking the price, those MC investors will be hit badly where it hurts. C'est la vie of speculation! 10) Example>>> Magumma Lilies: An investor friend of mine speculated on Magumma Lilies bought 10,000 of them during Dragon Bash (Dragon Coffers), supply the greatest time of the year due to the coffers, bought at ~4G each hoping as per pre-festival the price was selling 7.5G-8G, and with no warning from Anet the drop-rate from Jungle Plants was increased, sinking the price to what it is now ? 92 silver each: Work out the MAth on how much gold he lost!!! Many say the same thing will never happen to MC's but who knows for sure. That's specualtion for you, nothing certain, yes Speculators can make massive amounts of gold, but also lose massively ( funny how we only tend to hear about the gold made, and ofc those that have made massive losses keep quiet, as not something they want to broadcast!!) 11) TLDR: Price for Mystic Coins at current market value is okay. 12) PRO-TIP: Multi-account daily login, Run fractals CMs+T4 or even just T4 is enough on more than one account: Best investment you can make if you want clovers, fast gold/time spent. You'll have all the Mystic Clovers, Mystic Coins you'll ever need ( Coins: Daily login on each account, + buy from TP with the gold you make from running fractals on more than one account you'll soon have abundance of both )
  22. I can totally understand your frustrations mate. Having played Gw2 for 7 years on & off, I was always intrigued by the exclusive lounge areas: Got Invitation to "Lily of the Elon" when I bought HoT/PoF "no suprises why you get if free" It's very user unfriendly: Crafting stations on upper platform away from Tp/Bank and Mystic Forge floating in the middle of the Abyss: I only use the pass as fast transit to Crystal Oasis Map. Other than that its a headache, if like me you regularly switch between Bank/TP/Crafting/Mystic Forge it's a logistical nightmare. Bought my 2nd pass based on player reputation: Mistlock Sanctuary Pass which is totally epic and love it , and then bought Armstice Bastion which is really awesome especially if you use the Mystic Forge a lot you literally have Mystic Forge, Merchant, Bank, Trading post in a neat row, and jump over the wall you have all the Crafting stations and yet another Mystic Forge below, even better if you jump in/out of WvW you can see all the chat going on in your WvW Server. I always wondered why Mistlock Sancturary & Armistice Bastion passes where in Gem Store quite regularly over the last few years I haven been playing very active, and I can't remember a single occasion until this March Sales that i) Lava Lounge Pass, ii) Noble Folly, iii) Captain's Airship were even in Gemstore at original price, neverminded discounted price. Based on how good Mistlock & Armistice passes are, I foolishly bought all 3, and hell was I dissapointed with them: None of them compared to Mistlock/Armistice. Totally regretted buying them. Ah well, I just chalk them up to my long list of other regrettable Gem Purchases, and will probably dump all 3 passes on some alt that I don't even play as definitely don't want them clogging up my Shared Inv slots, bank or any of my main characters bags. They really aren't worth even the discounted 700 Gem price-point. My advice to any prospective player considering buying any VIP Lounge Pass: Just go for Mistlock Sanctuary and/or Armistice Bastion Pass ( easily the best 2 by far ), 3rd best for me is Royal Terrace as was a mere 500 Gems at Wintersday and everything is quite accessible, useful for fast transit to DR, Lunar New Year, perhaps helps weekly key-run character too (speculating as I don't do). The rest of the lounges are very sub-standard and I wouldn't recommend. @Nero DarkSlayer.9206 If there was anyway I could gift you for free the Lava Lounge Pass on my account I would happily do so.
  23. Personally I play a MMO for the "Massive-Multiplayer" bit, and play Gw2 for Team-play stuff: Fractals, WvW, Open-World Squads, having random fun with your guild mates. I'm a great fan of Combat Mechanics, Theory Crafting, new-build testing and perfecting speed-runs of Fractals with buddies etc. Storyline for me is just a nuisance at best. It's extremely difficult to form a group that want to do the same bits of the story as you, even when I've openly asked in guild I get met with SILENCE nobody can be bothered with it, players say they don't want to stop doing the 100 times more interesting things they are doing in favour of the story pffft, and the ones that always complete the story ofc just knuckle down and do it solo, and good luck for all those that enjoy it. I'm all for live and let live, many players am sure enjoy the evolving story, and I'm happy for them but I'm definitely not one of them. I think storyline gameplay is even less appealing to the WvW Community as I think the vast majority of WvW'ers could not care less about the storyline: Many of my WvW die-hard buddies have played from Beta, have very low Mastery numbers (Ofc WvW is a very social game mode // story-line is complete opposite and therefore as massive turn-off ). The fact of the matter is: If we enjoyed solo story-line content we would play an off-line game. I'd totally ignore the story altogether if it was possible, as one guy in this thread states it doesn't unlock anything: Well actually it does: It unlocks Mastery Points and Icebrood DRM's etc, and am sure you have to complete some of the first parts of the storyline in Icebrood to unlock the new map or NPC etc. so you can't bypass it as much as I really wish we could. To complete it on one character is torture enough: No intention ever of completing it on another character and don't see the point as the unlocks are account wide. Pro-tip that may help others: The only way to survive the mind-numbingness of storyline is to set up 2nd screen , grab a cold beer, watch Netflix/Amazon Prime, just mouse-click or press F when you need to advance the Story. ......And when you finally finish a chapter the relief is oh so sweet...!
  24. @"Neoniac.2813" Change title buddy [Not Fixed] at 15:17 hrs Server time 20/03/21: Loads some listings but others keep getting that nasty kitten message from hell: " The game client is unable to gain access to the login server at this time. It's NOT my firewall, it's NOT my router settings, it's NOT my security applications, I'm NOT using a Campus network, I love it how this list puts the blame at our end and not at Anet's end?!? EDIT*.....wait, wait it might be fixed ? Back working guys: Well for me anyways: Good luck
  25. ^^ Yup that's pretty much me. Really not interested in yet another Saga weapon collection ( getting seriously boring and monotonous, yes Anet I understand it's cheap content to keep giving us weapon collection after weapon collection but I really don't care for such to complete yet another weapons collection to unlock skins I'm not ever going to use for a massive 2-5AP or whatever they even give, just a futile time/gold sink, and like we even need more weapon skins cos we don't have enough already!?! I could do with a *Block Content button. I guess we can look forward to the next Saga episode with oh wait lets give the players something unique and different: How about another weapons collection with a 2 AP reward at the end, and we'll make it cost 5,000 Gold to unlock: That will keep them entertained while they're waiting for 3rd Xpac. @Linken.6345 That video is epic !@Eloc Freidon.5692 your thread is right on point: I've never been sucked into making any of the Icebrood Saga wep collections as saw them for what they were ( just cheap, easy to implement, poor quality, content for Anet to keep continuing to roll out in a vain attempt to keep players amused?!), never even made those nasty Boreal ones. But what's really sickening is the staggering cost which is simply unobtainable for the vast % of the playerbase. As Sobx said, best option: Just ignore overpriced collections. Comparison: Unlock all Icebrood Saga Weapon Collections VS Buy/Craft 5 x Legendary Weapons ? The choice is yours!
