Remove Griffon Mount Facet Boss Already

Why, years after release, is the Griffon mount locked behind a random bounty that requires 10+ people to kill? Can this get removed or changed to something able to be done with 1-3 people? There is zero hope of ever getting this done unless i sit and spam chat for 3 hours hoping people stick around. Tried numerous times now and best i've got is 3 of us. Sat in LFG, spam chat, asked guild, there just is noone in Crystal Oasis anymore. Don't lock a cool mount behind a huge group boss noone does anymore.

It's the Halloween event right now. Since it's a legendary bounty it can be killed joining any legendary bounty trains. Try when it isn't a holiday, the answer to every challenge isn't posting on the forum for its removal.

Majority of maps are more or less empty because everyone doing events rn.. Well exept bots and afk farmers...

Bounties are designed group content but that doesn't mean they can't be soloed.
I've soloed most of them myself.. could possibly be all of them in fact.. can't remember exactly.

Do you or your friends have a commander tag?
If you really need help then turning that on usually attracts a few players, least it has from my experience.

If you're on EU you can also add me and request help as well when you see me online, always happy to help people out with PvE stuff.

In addition to using a commander or mentor tag if you have one, asking for help in map chat and saying that it's for the griffon could get more people to help too.  I've found that when I tell folks what achievement or collection something I need help with is for, I get a better response.

I use Lilly of Elon as my home base for all my characters. I still see people doing Facet all the time. People ask in chat, and get several people saying they’ll come help.

Judging by lfg, it might be a little harder right now because people are occupied with Mad King, but that shouldn’t lead to them removing Facet from the requirements.

Everyone is farming the labirynth so you kinda picked the wrong time. They'll get back to farming legendary bounties and you'll be able to get it done after Halloween, or at least, when the novelty wears off. 

It's not impossible to solo, but not many people can do that, and you need a build for it, plus practice, just be patient a bit and you'll be able to get it without all the solo hassle.

Also, the event scales, i did bounties with as little as 3 people, it just takes longer. And those were champion bounties that literally no one does, needed them for specialization weapon collections. Mentor/Commander tag, ask POLITELY in map chat, wait (an hour if you have to), someone will come.

So dramatic.  This can be done solo, but lots of people need it and will help out if they know it's up.  Just tag up, lead a champion bounty train, and when you feel confident in your chances go take down the facet.  The only reason you're waiting 3 hours is because you're waiting for somebody else to do this for you.  How about take the initiative and let others follow you?  Chances are the map has a bunch of players who are doing the same thing you are, just waiting for someone to step up and lead.

It’s been done with three people numerous times.  The best opportunity for it is during the server’s prime time hours and especially when the bounty daily is for that map.

Saying solo it or three people can do it is silly, most aren't that sweaty. Waiting for a legendary/champion group on lfg or starting your own is the answer but  Crystal Oasis is often a bit dead though.  Having to wait ages to assemble a group is not fun or feasible for a lot of people and not really the best game design.

It can be killed with 3-5 but it codependent on the random mechanics assigned 

I’m not in disagreement it’s prob in need of an adjustment, but given it is regularly beaten, there’s not much chance it happening and by the time Anet might get round to it, you’d prob have completed it

Nobody suggested soloing it.  We said it can be done solo or with 3 players, which refutes the original claims that you need "10+" or "more than 1-3 people" to complete this bounty.  Again, if you're waiting, there's your problem.  People don't want to wait.  Run champion bounties while you wait instead.  It keeps new additions engaged and gives you a better idea of when the group is ready to take a shot at the facet.

Also, Crystal Desert has that Casino/Pinata event that people do every day, multiple times a day. 

Some of those are part of meta event chain groups, but some are there just for that. And i think meta event groups usually end in pinata anyway if i recall correctly.

 

In any case, plan your Legendary bounty when the Pinata ends. Participate in pinata,  maybe get confetti infusion if you're lucky, after that, ask in map chat if someone wants to do the bounty and i pretty much guarantee you'll get enough people in party/squad to do it.
