Lexi.1398
I like thinking more along the lines of the bonus events in dungeons and fractals; time consuming to vayring extents with often next to no reward for killing them, and appear all the time anyway. They're just another part of the thing- not a bonus- but the phrasing of "bonus event" makes some part of me think "this feels more like a hinderance than a bonus" - may as well just have it as a normal event. The choya pinata and the effigy, though they're not really bonus events so much as stage 4, they 1) both have "unlock conditions" (success) even if i have to really stretch to think of it like that and a 2) actually provide something, so i don't mind the phrasing here really. Danikat.8537
Do you mean the treasure hunt itself or the effigy event which happens afterwards? Because the effigy actually is a bonus - each round of the treasure hunt has a counter and if players don't reach the goal in time the bonus event won't spawn. It's just that the highest target (for round 3) is 999 bundles collected and it's rare to see an event where the final count isn't thousands more than that.@"Lexi.1398" said:I like thinking more along the lines of the bonus events in dungeons and fractals; time consuming to vayring extents with often next to no reward for killing them, and appear all the time anyway. I think the dungeon and fractal ones are a bonus in the sense that they're optional - you don't have to complete it to get the main reward like you do with most of the events. Ashantara.8731
"Always" is a mistakable wording here. It always occurs when it's scheduled, yes - what do you expect?
Illconceived Was Na.9781
It always occurs when it's scheduled, yes - what do you expect?Almost. It works just like Casino Coins in Crystal Oasis. If the three coin collecting phases succeed, then there's a bonus event; if the coin collection fails, there's no bonus event. So the OP's question doesn't apply: the bonus event happens to always occur because there's enough participation in the prerequisite events, not because it is scheduled to appear regardless. Xanadrine.4352
OP its a special bonus event because its only here for the festival.
Sobx.1758
The same could be said about the pinata and yet, get online late or get thrown to a practically empty instance and you won't get the special event. So yes, it is.@Zuldari.3940 said:OP its a special bonus event because its only here for the festival. He's talking about the 'boss' part after completing 3 raounds successfully. Basically a PoF pinata event, which is available all the time. ;)

MithranArkanere.8957
Yes. Something being special doesn't mean it's unique.
Eloc Freidon.5692
Its only special when someone actually manages to get the very rare drop at all. Otherwise its pretty much a waste of everyone's time.
Ototo.3214
Pretty sure that event, just like the Choya Pinata after Casino Blitz, only happens if the instance was successful at the previous event. Which does make it a bonus event for completing the other event.
